Title: Crashing iPod?
Post by: on October 28, 2011, 12:16:23 AM
About 2 years ago I jailbroke my ipod touch 3 using the Blackra1n software and it worked fine until now. I was trying to add the app Tapatalk a few days ago when the entire thing crashed and I got a message saying "your iPod is now in safe mode". I tried to reboot it using the "reboot" option for safe mode and now it just freezes up and stays like that no matter what I do. I really don't want to have to restore it because I have tons of music on it that I will lose and cannot get back D:

Have you tried to enable the thingie that lets you access the folders in the iPod via your computer? That way you can at least copy over the music files and music information so that you can restore it and transfer it back.

My iPod is a Nano and I've never done anything apart from what is legal to do with it. Though I know that via iTunes you can enable it so that it works like a hard drive, letting you access the folders. Might be a new thing they have added or it's an old thing they have removed, but I KNOW I have done it not too long ago.

I'll try to check it out further.

Here we are, look at the screenshots I added. At least that's what I have to do to access its folders and maybe that can help you in any way?

Though isn't it so that you don't have the right to get any help if you've hacked it?
