I don't know if there's any ICP fans here lingering around here, but if you're here, hear me out: ICP has become somewhat of a running gag. Both in real life, and on the internet. But, this thread isn't about my opinion, it's about yours. So, shoot.  XP

I had a giant post typed up about my opinions on ICP/their music, but there was a server error/lost my post/will keep it short.


I know not everyone who listens to them is a hardcore fan, but I find a lot of faults with the serious fans.  Specifically, the drug use and tolerance of disturbing behavior as long as that person is considered "Fam(ily)".  I think moderation is key, as is not having to rely on a label to describe yourself completely.  I'd rather not be around someone who considers themself a Juggalo over being a decent person.  The same goes for furries, I'd rather know there's something tangible behind a persona you've built up for yourself.


I don't listen to them/enjoy their music personally, but I have some friends that do (and some musicians I look up to, like MC Lars), and I'm okay with that.  None of them try to force me to listen to them, or talk about stabbing people in the neck, or yell WHOOP WHOOP around me.

I really liked Miracles the first time I heard it, when I knew nothing about ICP. I assumed that it was meant as a joke, and didn't understand why Saturday Night Live would do a parody of their music video.
Then I learned the truth. It was profoundly disturbing.
I still enjoy that song, though.

You know what, just so I'd know what I was talking about, I listened to a few of their songs. I can't lie, Fonz Pond is kinda catchy and funny. But the others?  :o Not gonna lie, the lyrics are a little sickening.

I like the group, but some of their songs are wrenchy. I like how the use REAL carnival music in some of their songs, and the fact that they came from detroit.


I.M.O. the 2 best rappers in the world came from Detroit: Eminem & ICP.
