I'm Johnny. Um, hi. I'm brand new to this whole "furry" thing, and was recently converted by a friend. (Way to go, Josh.) After much contemplation, I decided on "lynx." Anyways, how does one go about being a furry?

Welcome Johnny and fellow Lynx to our forums. You dont really have to do anything to be furry really, its just liking anthropormorphic animals :3 Feel free to check out our forums, lots of fun things to do in the fun rp section. Im Macid the Diamond Lynx and I hope you enjoy your stay here.

Welcome to the forums.
You don't have to do something if you feel you're being forced into it, but even if you decide you don't want to be a furry, you can still stay around the forums as the people here are rather friendly.
Nothing needs to be done to be a furry really besides an interest in anthromorphic characters. If you want you can make your own anthro characters and RP or draw art or whatever else you feel like doin'.

'lo Johnny, I'm Kay, one of the few horse-folk on this furry planet. Being a furry is just a fun thing to do, and it gives me a creative outlet to the things I've always been into my whole life!

Some more info about myself: I am 15, I play guitar, I like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Boston, and dubstep. Lynxes are awesome; i've always liked them ever since I read about them in a National Geographic a while ago. Also, ever since I became a furry, my dogs have been much more amiable towards me. Coincidence? Or do they know?

Dogs and other animals are sensitive to your body language so maybe you're the one changing without knowing it?

I also had lynx ears/tail when I woke up this morning (they weren't there before) so that might also be a factor.

Being a furry is all up to how you wish to go with it. Some people just enjoy the fandom whilst others can pretend being animals and such. All up to you :P
