Alright, so it's semiofficial that a couple of my friends and I are planning on taking a trip to somewhere in Europe during this upcoming spring break for a week. Right now, we don't know exactly where we want to go, but we think the UK would be the best option for the trip.
This is going to start being an ongoing trend of our little group, or at least for the next few years. Last year we took a road trip to Moab, Utah and ended up climbing mountains. But this time we wanna go to a city or something. We don't want to go to a tourist trap though. We want adventure!
So I need ideas, or if you're willing, a place to stay maybe. We aren't completely made of money, and besides, we prefer the adventure of not having some 5 star hotel to stay at. Just know, I'm the only furry of the group, but we're all relatively easy going and I'd love to make contacts in other countries. Let me know please!

i would say scotland is the best place to go, purely because i love the place. edinbourgh is probably one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
in england though, i'd recommend the peak district. tis a beautiful place of the country, if you don't mind the rain.

France is awesome but then again, it's busy all year round, loads of people. The good thing is, you dont really need to know any french, you can just speak english and they will help you, and they even understand it. it is better if you have some sorta translater though, it would help, like a lot.
Away from that would be germany or switzerland, very interesting countries to visit

I can't really speak for Scotland as I've not really looked around the country personally but I can agree with the peak district if you're looking for something a bit more rustic, outdoors-y and with some beautiful scenery. The weather tends to be cold, wet and then have some more wet but there's certainly plenty to do in the area and there's some good walks, historic places of note, etc.

If you come to Edinburgh spring is probably the best time since its tends to be when we get our best weather and theres not too many tourists yet. Loads of good pubs, if thats your thing, and plenty to see and do.
I live less than an hour away so I'd happily meet up if you do come across.

I'll keep Edinburgh in mind, but that is really far north. We don't really care to see any of the huge attractions like London, I'll see what the guys think.

I too hear that Edinburgh is a fantastic place with very friendly, sharing people.
But I am saddened to see that nobody has mentioned Scandinavia. If someone is visiting Europe, do not forget us even though we're far up.
I would suggest my own city, as it is small, comfortable yet interesting. It's an international tourist town so it's easy to find your way around. And I would of course show you around as the... single furry there.

So it's probably definetly going to be somewhere in the UK, although we still have no idea where we would go.
