i was wondering..everyone that has a fursona has a connection to there animal. wolf furries like wolves...fox furries like foxes...but what about there HABITATS.
say your a shark furry...do you try to be around water as much as you can?
your a squirrel..do you like climbing trees?
yoru a wolf...do you like roaming the forest?
tell all..or is your love strictly for the animal, and not its habits.?
(im wolf and snow leopard...but you wouldnt catch me dancin in the woods or screwin about in the snow.)
how far does your love for your "animal" go?
-
I love snow. Simply love it. not to say that I hate hot places but you get the idea. Canadian Lynx live in snowy climates and yeah. :)
-
The red wolf tends to be in dryer climates, but I hate dry climates. I do however, live in a heavily forested rural area, and squirrels just love trees, so I got half right. :S

Siberian Huskies were originally bred for work in, you guessed it, Siberia. So their bodies are bred for cold environments. I truly prefer the cold whenever possible, but I'm stuck here in Florida for the next few months, then hopefully off to Colorado!

My fursona, being a fictional creature, lives where I wanted her to live, which is also where I'd like to be.
She lives on a northern rocky shoreline where it snows, near a forest. She also roams around a lot because she flies, and although I don't get to travel much right now, I intend to in the future.

It's fairly simple. Foot long fur, all species suited for said climate, the name as well as what I always note about habitat and surroundings in character descriptions. There's a reason why I chose this.
Have a look at my status (Currently:)
<
And have a look at my signature (Wait for it...)

nobody knows where the foxaroo is native to o.O i just love foxes and kangaroos
-
I really see Alexei as being 100% domestic, he doesn't have many traits native to his species.
One thing in common is that Alexei, like many Cheetahs tend to be solitary or travel in small groups, kinda like me.

Well, being a plushie fur, I'd say my fursona's natural habitat would be in a toy store. Or at Goodwill. XD
That said, I don't really like being in stores. I'm just a cat plushie because I love cats and plushies.

everyone who ever figured out where foxaroos lived is now a foxaroo themselves. bwahaha!! >:3

Sytex is a Spectrum Crossplague; a species of Dragon that is actually warm blooded based on era of creation (they came about in the beginning the last Ice Age, having evolved from another species of dragons that were starting to die off because of the cold). So, that said, he could live anywhere he pleases. I chose this because I wanted versatility; so that way, no matter where I live it fits for the species.

my habbits as a wolf would be when i am agrivated at somthing or some one i know says somthing i dont like i growl. i also do like the woods.

i'm a lion, living in cambridge.
i guess that's not a million miles away tbh cause the savannah is flat as a nine year old, as is cambridge. in terms of my actual likes and dislikes though, i think the savannah might just be one of my least favourite places in the world. i cannot stand the heat in any situations. i -hate- feeling sweaty and uncomfortable and just hot. so no, i do not share a lion's love of the open savannah. however, i would question as to whether a lion likes it either. they spend most of their lives in an eternal battle against the suns movement, lying in the shade of a tree for an hour until the sun moves and the shade is in a different place. then reluctantly getting up and moving 6 feet to the left. the only reason has evolved in the savannah is cause there is so much grass for edible animals to eat.
and seeing as i'm a vegetarian, that doesn't exactly attract me either

For myself it's pretty similar to Zeph's idea, in a fantasy world my character lives in an arctic sort of climate where there's snow and water, as in real life I would love to live in a cold climate *Daydreams*
-
well, im an acrtic wolf so I do like snow, forests, adventure, stuff like that.
Well, I wear my collar a lot. I wear it to sleep, around the house like when no one is around. When it's winter time, I'm going to go to a petting zoo up north where wolves are! Last year, I went there and the wolves just tackled me and I hugged them all :P

Iam a wolf dog, so like many dogs i like being around people. When ever i get the chances when iam in a wooded area i like to roam around in the forset. I tend to love beaning in a "pack" or a small group of firends. Ive been told that i love to please and make people happy.

I love foxes and their habits are amazing but very wide ranged. Seeing as I love the outdoors Id say yes I love everything there is to Foxes
-
I would say that I extremely enjoy the habitat of the animal my fursona is based on. The woods of the hills of Colorado, where I grew up, have always been a special place of solace for me.

ah yes, the colorado woodlands :D

I do like the ocean and all that it holds. I'm going to school in San Diego so yeah I do try to stay near water as much as possible. :)

does living on a space ship count?
in all seriousness, domestic dog... i'm pretty sure you can see where this is going...
-
well i guess so... so you like space but want to be around people?
-

those are 2 different fursonas, the one i am currently abusing the power of lives on a spaceship, the other doesn't.

I love to be in the cold. And since Shepherds fare better in the cold thanks to their thicker coat, I guess it's fitting ^^
-
I suppose foxes live in pretty much any Temperate climate, which is all I've ever lived in. I do love a little change in scenery, but this is how I like it. Also my fursona is based off of a Fox that lives on our campus . . . so, I guess that counts too.
-
I do love being in forests. :3 Especially ones with tall, sheltering trees. But I've always been like that. :P
-
The two species I've had fursonas of are fox and wolf, both can live in various climates but usually temerate.
I was born in Southern California, but I've lived in the Northwest far longer now. I've always liked forests. When we first moved up here, I exclaimed of the trees, "Wow, it's like having a campground in our backyard!" I've also always loved camping.
I've noticed other similarities between my habitat choices and that of fox; I'm comfortable in small spaces but like multiple exits, and my bed is simply a foldable futon on the ground, and *piles* of blankets. I like to be buried and warm. ^_^
I didn't choose fox and then base myself around it; I rather came to fox as I kept discovering ways it fit me far better than wolf, including lifestyle.

As for me, I'm an arctic husky and I wuvs tah snow and cold =D ... As for where I live, it's quite awesome... There's winter and it's snow but for the summer, it's really a pain as it'S pretty much humid and with my double layer of fur, it's quite bad. But summer here where it's REALLY hot is like only 2 months.

My fursona is a fennec fox and wolf hybrid. My hybrid lives in the United Kingdom (Fictionally), and I like the weather there :3.
But, in all seriousness, I personally have grown up in North-Eastern Ontario, where the summers are hot and the winters are cold. Spring and fall are the only mild seasons for me here (Although I suffer from seasonal allergies and they are worse in those seasons :P). It seems to go from one extreme to the next.
Long story short, where I live irl doesn't reflect where my fursona lives. My fursona lives in the UK because the weather is milder there than it is in the Great White North.

Imma wolf furry, and I do have, personally in real life, many personality traits that link me to a wolf. However, not any violent traits for fighting, more or less just the traits that come into effect with others. I can be very social and get along with others, or I can go all lone wolf and be fine eather way. I also like (But not love) the cold and live in western Michigan, so I can get fairly wolf like during the winter. B)
