Title: "Cat Obsessed" :Advice?

Well, I'm a cat furry and I love drawing cats a such.
I post them on my FaceBook for all my buddehs to see.
But when ever someone brings me up, they talk about how I'm obsessed with cats.
I'm not. I just like drawing them.
People make fun of me because of it and it's SO ANNOYING!!
Whenever I'm going to draw something they're like "I bet you'll draw a cat." or "Why do you always draw cats."
In 8th grade some people called me "Crazy Cat Lady" and it's SOOOO ANNOYING AND HURTFUL!
I don't know what to do anymore about.
I just don't draw cats. I draw a bunch of other things too.
I want to be known for something other than cats!!
I want to be known for my artwork and how good of a person I am.
Help please????

you could carry around some art of things besides cats and show people them when they say youre gonna draw a cat, you can just draw more non cats, or my personal choice to ignore them and draw whatever you please. :3

Besides, whats wrong with cats? Cats are awesome! :D

I know, cats are awesome!!!
I'm not saying they aren't.
And I'll draw what I please. I draw a lot of dogs and bats and such.
But people mostly focus on the cats for some reason.

People sometimes like to make fun of others because of they're insecurities. For instance, if they like something that can be seen as weird, then they would make fun of others for stuff that can be seen as "weird" so nobody will find out about their "weird" interests.

As far as what to do, just do as you please. Just ignore them and enjoy yourself. :P Don't worry about what they say, cause what really matters is your friends and family.

People said that a lot about me too when I was in school (But they were foxes! -^-)
Just ignore them, or not show the non-furs/people who say that. There are plenty of successful artists on FA/DA that focus on one species. :P

You can still draw as many cats as you can, maybe you can still be in your comfort drawings while you draw lions or tigers. Although they are both in the feline family, they are not directly cats, I think.
