this is a topic that's been bugging me recently, what do you, as a furry do in your spare time when your not at a convention or lurking the forums?
Me, I'm a complete bum now that I'm out of high school, I mostly play video games, and surf Deviantart, but I try to get somthing artistic done each day.
sorry if this seems alittle personal, but surely there's more to the furry comminity that suits and drawings.

well everyone does the furry thing there own way
for me..its a interest...a hobby and partialy my lifestyle.
i love to draw furries, but i draw lots of other things (not lately tho im swarmed with furry comissions lol) fantasy characters have alwase been a huge thing for me, as ive been drawing it since before i was in elementary school.
i dont fursuit (would if i had one) but i do have furrywear that i don now and again. sometimes ill wear a fox tail around the apartment...go on outing with it on. i got a collar that i wear all the time, and even a T-shirt that says "im a furry, pet me". and a nifty fox eared hat that i like to wear in the winter...its nice and warm <3
as for the interests..i find myself socialy intersted in the furry fandom..i like to hear see and read about it, look at the art..talk to other furries and even uh...spend my night hours looking at "other" kinds of furry art. (but not ALL furries are as me..just reminding)
lifestyle...i find myself making animal noises now and then..if my mate tickles me i yip in shock...if something hurts i whimper a lil..and i even lick my mate on his nose as a lil furry affection. (he isnt a furry but he thinks its cute)
my favorite thing about the furry fandom is its people..i love how open, loving, non-judging and open minded its people are. sexual orientation, religious beliefs, creed..nobody judges here. its a loving close knit community and you get a feeling of belonging. like your apart of something massive.

Lately I haven't done much other than stalk the forums, work, or play MW2. When I get back to college my furry life kinda will kinda dissipate. I'll only get on the forums once a day (as apposed to several times like now), and I'll spend alot of time with my college buds. Right now I don't have much of a life outside of work, internet and COD though. Can't wait to go back to college where there is so much more to do :D

Since I've been trying to keep my furriness halfway secret from my parents and family, I've been flying airplanes and playing games on my computer, as well as just being lazy. I try and write or draw to keep myself entertained, but it's not regular. So I think that everyone might be living a somewhat normal lifestyle outside the conventions and forums.

Furry isn't a lifestyle to me, because it's not all that I am, and somtimes I don't know if I'm a furry at all, I can't really relate to most people in the fandom, and my sona technically isn't an anthro, or even furry, he's a scaly alien. I don't want to fursuit, don't know if I want to wear fur accecories, and I sure don't like the anonymous hugs, and if I ever go to a fur con, I'd want to go as Megaman X, but I don't know if anyone else would get it... guess what I'm saying here is that it's hard to like differant things : /

pretty much just hang around and go out with friends (because i do have a social life, ignore my post count!!!) and try to survive XD college is soon so I won't have as much time to be a furry at that point.

I've noticed that too, it's completely different than the rest of society in that furries are generally completely accepting of everyone with no limits to tastes or lifestyles. That's one of the main things that makes me proud to be one.
Uhmm... I've changed alot since my brain surgery. For now there's nothing I can do workwise except around the house. I'm getting back into college, to become a veterinary technician as soon as I can get around again, hopefully. In my spare time, if I can't get online, I like to draw anthro characters and am working on a novel. Writing fantasy is my passion.

I work and then when I'm home I just sit on the computer all day and play Second Life; I never get out of the house.

When I'm not doing furry stuff, I'm doing schoolwork or playing ROBLOX, which I've now made a furry thing with making myself a fursona kit so I can be me on there too. Honestly, hardly anything recently hasn't been furry related that I've done, even finding a house. It's a base of operations from which I shall make myself a scalesuit and General Grievous costume.

i dont do much but go on this forum and other furry forums such as furaffinity or ontariofurs. i hav no furry paws, tail, head, ears or anything. just a collar to wear for fun. I want to go to the cons so I can film stuff. Not my lifestyle, i dont draw a lot anymore, i just play pc games. I mean, I don't have any furry friends in RL yet and i always stay in my house cuz its cool and cuz it's 37C outside. And no one knows that ima furry yet :| and I stll havent wore my collar outside my house where people an even see it yet.

Its more of a lifestyle for me, although I don't/can't/won't really flaunt it too much.
Making some feet and hand paws, and once I get some cash flow, I'm gonna make me a fursuit head.
I do art, participate in various forums, and look at what I wish I could do too. :)

I don't really do anything distinctly furry, despite how close I feel to the furdom. I'm almost depressingly normal IRL, apart from my career as an author. Which can get pretty crazy. :P

I Wear Tails Alllll The Time, And Sometimes Collars. I Draw A Lot Of Furry Artwork, But I'm Not Very Good At It :S Also I Act Very Cat-Like, Especially Towards My Boyfriend (He Pets Me And I Curl Up Onto Him ^_^ ) I Have Plans To Get A Set Of Face Paints So I Can Have What I Would Prefer Over A Fursuit. So Yeah, I Do Some Stuff, Also I Really Enjoy Reading Or Hearing About The Community (Only The Positive, Understanding Bits. No CSI For Me Thanks :/ )

I have no animosity towards that episode. (If an average fur used that much lingo in one sentence...)
Tyra however... And "My Strange Addiction" take the cake for the stupidest donkey dung out there.
I love watching jackals and wolves (My previous fursona)...... Well, canids in general. They're great! :D

i try to find a job so i can do more in the fandom... but rather then going to cons and fur dinner meets i draw art. i do other stuff as well some times its not furry related

It's just a hobby for alot of furs. To me it's more, though, it's something engrained in me. Most people I know don't know what I am, I don't know any furs in real life that live close enough to hang out with, and I've never had an opportunity to wear a fursuit, or anything even related (except the tail, ears, and paws I made, and that was on Halloween, lol). So for me being a furry is more who I am, who I was born as, than an actual lifestyle.

haven't wore tail, ears, paws or a fursuit yet, probably will whenever i can go to a con. i seem to be busy all the time. also, i dont think my parents would let me go to one... >:(

I like being furry because we are all very accepting and kind. It's true, unlike society as a whole. Furries tend to accept one another regardless of our race, sexual preferences, religion, ideals, etc. This is a place where golden hearted souls gather to talk and interact. Being furry is more than just donning a fursuit and making animal noises. It's about how you live and treat others. All furries are nice, I've yet to meet one who was a total dick.
Aside from this I usually write stories and train my OCs in Pokemon: Black. I love guns, especially Airsoft. I can also sew and make cosplay suits. I don't want a full fursuit because their big, bulky, and hot. With the cosplay suits I make you can actually sleep, eat, run, and wear them all day without worry of heatstroke. Being a water type Pokefur I've been wanting to swim in it sometime when nobody's looking >.> But the one ironic thing about me is:
I never learned to swim XD

That's why I love this forum. This is my internet home where everyone's kind, thoughful, and respectful. For the most part, that's what being a furry has taught me to be like.

I say to each his own, even if I think he's making a spectacle of himself. (But the thing is that its on a furry forum! You're in the company of FURS for goodness sakes! You should be able to make all the cute sounds you want!)
I don't go out and do all that in mixed company, and I don't exactly like it when other people do because it makes it uncomfortable in my opinion, but that's just what it is, an opinion.
But yea... I've been stuck on making my feet paws... I hope I can get them done by October. :P

That doesn't even make sense to me. I mean, I can understand not feeling the need or desire to be cute and make animal type noises yourself, but making fun of a fellow fur for doing that just does not compute for me. I guess I could understand it from the standpoint of some people believing that doing things like that only perpetuate stereotypes, but my response to those people would be to lighten up. >.< And yeah, I also feel like this forum has become my internet home. It's safe, warm, and comfy. I like it here. :P

I've been pretty bored lately. I've been going through my game collection and cleaning out every single nes, snes, genesis and whatever other games I have. I"m getting ready to open a store online that I can start selling everything on. And I"m working 3 days a week. When I'm not doing either of those activities I'm either watching tv or playing some nes games. My PS3 YLOD'ed a few months back and I just got an extimate from sony. $159 to fix the system. I'd rather just save my money and buy another one.
I don't have much social life for certain reasons. I have really bad hearing so I don't bother starting a conversation with others unless it's a person that knows I wear hearing aids. And there's nothing outside of a few message boards or video games that really grab my attention. Espically with where I live. And I hate that I can't talk sexually towards any other person so it makes me feel alone in that part of the world.
And I heard somebody say that they like being a furry cause of the openess and not being judged. Myself too but I think if I went into too much detail I would be shunned.

I do have a social life. Went to a few parties, went camping with friends, was gonna go to a concert tonight but that didn't work out D: but I AM on the computer a lot
