'ello,
I finally saved up enough money to make my fursuit. I already have the foam base for the face made, and I'm wondering if it would be cheaper to buy dyed blue fur, or to get plain white fur and airbrush it with my airbrush? Or is it either way it both costs the same?
Thanks to anyone who awnsers my question.

fur of similar lengths is usually the same price all around. :) If you want a more complex pattern on the fur, then airbrushing is easier/cheaper than getting a couple different fabrics for a small amount of pattern. if it's solid, you may as well get the predyed colour. no issues about having the paint fade after a while.

Well, my fur is patterned, so I guess airbrushing is the way to go. x3

yeah, a spotty pattern is usually easier to do with airbrushing. make sure you do a test piece before you do the actual suit with the paint, and remember to keep brushing out the fur throughout the process.
this set of videos is great for getting started http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8x0uQeplOiQ
