The world ended, asteroids falling from the sky at mach speeds, only to lightly touch the surface. They had been empty
or so it was first thought
Trillions of spores came from the asteroids to infect those living on the planet Earth; Humans, Atlantians, and Anthros. The infected became known as the Obsessed, granted abilities beyond imagination. Unable to control themselves, they soon fell into their vanities. They became their... obsession. However, that had happened nearly a decade ago, and Earth was attempting to go back on track. The Atlantians resumed control of the Waters, the Anthros of Africa, Asia, and South America, the Humans: all else. Technology is to what it was in the 1990s, after a small Techno-Crisis. Cars and Planes are forgotten. But there is peace.
At least, there was until another outbreak of the Obsessed happened.
