Title: The Coffee House
Post by: Gelidus on June 18, 2011, 03:55:38 PM
*walks in and asks the barista behind the counter to make him a pressed cup of the best hearty blend they have. The barista pulls out the blend, grinds it, brews the coffee and hands it to me. I then proceed to add a dollop of half and half and a teaspoon of sugar and sit in the lounge chair giving a view of the outside*

*after about 3 hours of warping about the city, trying to figure out where the heck he's warped to this time, Zhono ends outside the front door of a coffee shop* Hmmm... Well I just had tea a while ago but... Meh, I need a break.

*Zhono opens the door to the shop and enters. Immediately, the nutty and bitter scent of freshly ground coffee beans enters his nostrils. Zhono takes a deep whiff of the relaxing scent and proceeds to the counter where he orders a cup of plain, black coffee. As soon as he pays for it (a bit expensive, but a mage tends to be well-off anyway) he goes over to a table beside the window with what appears to be a dog... er, wolf... well he can't really tell, but a canid of some sort with a blue stripe down his back. Zhono asks politely* Do you mind if I sit here?

*Gelidus heard Zhono walk into the coffee shop, and even thought he saw Zhono randomly appear outside.* yeah go... *He looks at Zhono. It startled him because he didn't realize Zhono had a squirrel tail and ears until he grabbed Gelidus's attention* ...oh...uh...yeah go ahead.

*rethinking everything and taking quick glances at the fox...thing, Gelidus ponders to himself* "maybe I did see him just randomly appear...no that's just too wierd...I'm sure it was just my imagination. I guess I could ask him to be sure..." Please pardon my ridiculous question...but did you just...teleport here or something? *Gelidus realized immediately after he says this that he shouldn't have. He knows the fox that just walked in was gonna think he was crazy.*

*Zhono smiles at the apparetly suprized Blue-striped canid* Oh, it's not ridiculus at all. But yes, I did teleport here. *sets own finger on fire with a snap* I, err... take it you've never seen a mage before, have you? *Zhono puts the fire out* Sorry for freaking you out. I guess I should take into account that this realm has few native mages. *Zhono laughs nervously and offers to shake the confuzzled canid's hand* My name's Zhono C Veranhaut. Pleased to make your aquaintence, and you are?

*Gelidus's eyes open wide with shock and disbelieve. He starts thinking to himself* "What in the world?! an actual freaking mage!? If i told anyone i knew about this they would freak! HOLY **** FIRE!?!?!"*he takes a sip of coffee and tries to clam down* Okay chill out. Get a hold of yourself. There has to be some sort of explanation..." *Gelidus puts down his coffee and shakes the hand of the fox mage. Taking a deep breath he begins to talk* The pleasure is all mine, really. People call me Gelidus. So uhh...how exactly does this 'magic' work... *Fully excepting what just happened, Gelidus is now relaxed and very curious about what exactly is going on.* I mean...you see it in movies, games and TV but that actually looked...real

*Zhono realizes that the canine is a bit freaked out, but continues on as i it were nothing, hoping it would calm him down a bit* It's not all that difficult really, if you are born into it and have the sufficient skill, though it can be dangerous. *conjures up a mage light* Of course, a mage light like this isn't dangerous, but something like this... *Zhono shoots a bolt of lightning at his cup of coffee, making it boil* ...can be dangerous if not properly trained. *leans back in chair* But I have yet to work out some of the kinks out of most of my spells. After all, I'm only 22 years old; I'm still a child!

*Zhono looks out the window at the spot where he teleported* In fact, such a kink is the reason why I'm lost in this infernal city. I'm trying to get to Rome, ya see. But my I can't focus my teleportation correctly *he looks at his hands frustratedly* Curse my inexperiance... *looks back up at the canid* But, enough about me. You neve did tell me your name.

*Gelidus is very intrigued by this whole thing. The more Zhono talks the more interested he becomes.* "If I'm born into it? I wonder what that mean? if its so dangerous is it and how come nobodies used it as a weapon..." *Gelidus continues to think in his head while listening to Zhono speak. His body begins to lean forward, and he starts to grasp his coffee tightly and drinks the beverage more frequently. The nonchalantness in how the fox is speaking of the subject intrigues him even more* Wait your trying to get to Rome? I think you need a bit more practice before trying to get there. Its quite a ways from New York *the canid chuckles a little at his own joke. He knows this conversation shouldn't be one way. He doesn't want to leave the subject, but he knows he should exchange some information of himself in return* My name is Gerald Halverson. But I don't let people call me that. So you can just stick with Gelidus. I'm always traveling, and I'm never in the same place once. The fact that I ended up in a city as big as this one is kinda surprising to me, actually.

*Zhono shakes Gelidus's paw firmly and smiles* Pleasure to meet you. *Zhono looks out the window yet again, watching a seemingly extravigantly rich poodle lady walk by with her muzzle stuck up in the air* So, New York huh? Well, at least I hit the right realm... *turns back to Gelidus again quickly. Zhono appears to be a bit "all-over-the-place" at the moment for some reason.* So you're a drifter too, huh? What places have you been?
Title: Re: The Coffee House
Post by: Gelidus on June 21, 2011, 02:19:46 AM
*Gelidus's ears perk when Zhono says "the right realm". A curious thing. He goes off into wonderment of what the other realms might be like. While his own mind is wandering he keeps his eye's fixed on Zhonos, as if the fox might disappear into thin air. This get him to notice that Zhonos just doesn't seem to be in this conversation, at least not nearly as much as himself* You ok? you seem...out of it. Anyway I've been to alot of places. I can't even imagine to tell you everywhere I've been. I do tend to go towards cold places though. So I've traveled through Russia, Canada and alot of mountains. But what about you. What are these different realms that you spoke of? *Gelidus's voice seem to become louder, almost booming when he asked the question because of his interest in the subject.*

*Daemon walks in, all by himself. He stares around the coffeeshop, noticing the fumes of heat from the fresh-brewed coffee. He looks at his left shoulder* "You sure you want to go here? There are a million other places to check." *suddenly, a male Black Panther appears at his left shoulder, and a female at his right. They appear to be a brother and sister.* "I don't really care. It was her idea" *the male black panther says, indicating his sister* "Oh, sure. Blame it all on me, Nick. All because I'm a girl, and you don't think he'll-" "Be quiet!" *Daemon shouts, angrily* "The reason we came here was to see if Gel-" *Daemon pauses mid-sentence, the runs over to the table where Gelidus and Zhono are sitting. Daemon pulls his chair out, not waiting for the two panthers* "Wassup, Gel? Long time, no see."

*Brendyn's abrupt entrance removes the apparent trance he had on Zhono* "Brendyn!! I was wondering if you would ever show up! I thought for sure the clues I gave you would get you here faster. You're lucky I found this guy otherwise I would have left before you showed up. This is Zhono" *He waves toward the fox* "He's a uh...mage" *Gelidus moves forward to give Brendyn a huge.* "So how have you been?

*Brendyn receives the hug, gladly* "Oh, same old-same old. Drawing, school, dealing with the aches and pains of bisexuality..." *Brendyn turns to look at the two siblings.* "And I picked up those two. Nick and Nanaly. They are usualy figments of my imagination, but I gave them life. Now they pester me everywhere." *Brendyn laughs, and Nanaly looks sad, Nick a little sheepish. They greet Gelidus and Zhono with a small "Hello" and disappear* "Hope they don't just serve coffee. I don't need the caffeine, you know?"

"Hello and goodbye Nick and Nanaly. You always have something new when I stop by Brendyn. I will definitely have to add real imaginary friends to my list. And what's wrong with the caffeine? Indulge! Coffee is one of the greatest inventions of this world. It's the only thing that can calm you down and charge you up at the same time." *Gelidus doesn't want to leave out his new found buddy, so he turns to him* "Sorry Zhono didn't mean to leave you out. This is Brendyn. He's an old friend of mine. I hope you don't mind him joining us."

Oh, it's no trouble at all. The more the merrier I always say. *Zhono shakes Bredyn's hand firmly* Pleasure to make your aquaintence, my friend. *Zhono turns back to Gelidus, making sure to not ignore his questions. He just loves answering questions* So, you asked about other realms... Well, one would be suprized of the fast number and variety of the realms out there. Many are very similar to others. Why, not too long ago, I visted a realm that bears an uncanny likeness of this one, out of scholarly interest. I believed I heard it referred to as "Da-nee" or something of the sort. Anyhoo, it's exactly your native Kadilianse... at least, that's what my collegues call this realm... except for one big difference; the dominant creatures there have absolutely no fur, with exception of a small amount on thier heads. They call themselves "humans", but they're more barbarians than anything... Always fighting with each other due to petty differences... Of course, I haven't been there for too long, so maybe I'm judging them too quickly... *Zhono realizes that he may be boring his newfound friends* Er, sorry.  I tend to get lost in my stories. Sometimes I act like a Millenium-old sage... I do hope I'm not boring any of you. *rubs back of head nervously*

"Yes. You were." Nick says, reappearing at Brendyn's shoulder. Nanaly appears behind Nick and hits him. "You don't just say that to someone! It's rude! And I for one was interested in what Zhono was saying!" Brendyn shakes his head. "Nice to meet you, Zhono. I've met these 'humans' before." Brendyn laughs. "Did you know there is a group of them who beleive in us, but don't know that we truly exist? A lot of them have this weird thing called there 'fursona'." Brendyn laughs again. "So, Gel. How's the job?"

*Gelidus points at Nick* "Hey I kinda like this guy. He let's his opinion known. But no, you weren't boring me Zhono. Maybe you could take me to this weird realm, I'd certainly like to see it." *He than begins to think in his head about what that would be like. He thinks about someone who get shaven before surgery or something.* "It's like that on their whole body? Thats just gross" *He returns himself to the conversation* "My job has not been going well at all, man. I haven't gotten any contracts in the past 2 months. I've had to live off the land more and more. Which I don't mind, it's just that I would like to indulge every once in a while. This is the first time I've spent money in about 2 weeks." *He stares deeply and gratefully at his coffee, drinks a long sip of the hot refreshment and takes a deep breath*

Nevan was walking through the city, much slower than most others, looking around at the signs and buildings.

He'd been in a big city before, but not quite in this sort of Era.  Past industrialisation, increasing dominance of technology, but still hard currency and fossil fuels.  Everyone seemed a bit...edgy.  Not too long ago he'd passed an old man in far too many coats screaming about the end of the world.  Musicians and street performers kept trying to capture his interest.  He was feeling a little overwhelmed.

He turns a corner into a part of town that seems more commercial, people in crosswalks carrying bags of clothing.  And wearing nice hats.  He'll have to pick up a hat or two.

Finally, he spots a cosy little coffee shop.  Peeking in, it doesn't look like there's too many people.  Perfect!  A spot to relax and gather his senses.  He steps inside.

"Hm...I'll take a grande vanilla latte, with whipped cream."  He pays and waits for his drink, looking around.

He doesn't want to snoop, but overhears something about magic, and realms.  The barista calls out his order, and he grabs his drink and sits at the table next to the group.

"Uh...sorry to interrupt...were you talking about magic?"  He sips his drink a little nervously.

Brendyn puts a hand on Gelidus' shoulder. "It's all good. I have some clash flow coming in. I'll lend ya some." Brendyn turned towards the newcomer to say hello just in time to see Nick say. "What do you want? We don't know you. Creeper." "Hello. Your name is...?" Nanaly started. "Oh, and yes, we were talking about magic."

He pauses for a moment.  "Uh, yeah, sorry, my name's Nevan.  I'm new to this city...I travel around a lot, but this is the first time I've been anywhere quite like this.  Anyway, part of how I travel is magic, and I'm from another...world entirely.  Realm, I guess, if that's the term you're using.  Sorry for bursting in."  He looks down at his coffee.

*Gelidus's coffee has now hit him, and he starts becoming a little edgy and short with the party, especially with his interesting conversation cut short by all the distractions."Nevan, huh? well nice to meet ya. Am I the only guy that doesn't know anything about this magic junk? I've been all over the world! Well this world anyway. You would think I would know more! And Brendyn, the moment I take a dollar from anyone is the moment I die. I'll be just fine." "PAH! Like I need charity. I hate it when people ask me if I need help" *Gelidus realizes he is getting irritable, so he scoots his chair back a small amount and leans back to attempt to remove himself from the conversation until his mood improves*

Nevan ohs.  "It's not so common here?  I also like building stuff, learning about different technologies.  I'm better at that, anyways.  I just thought maybe magic was a thing here because of the others.  But I guess you guys are, uh, 'outlanders', too?"

I'm never in town because I'm always moving about, thats why we don't hang out that much. Actually you're the only guy I've known for longer than 3 months." *He sips his coffee. Another snooty poodle walks by that he spots and starts to think about where he is and why he is here* "I hate this god forsaken city and every city like them. Tearing people from what they should be and forcing them into the system. Then if you don't conform you can't survive!" *he says waving his hands in the air, his voice becoming frustrated and annoyed* "Oh, I'm sorry, I have to be nice to everyone, and work in some stupid building pushing papers or making fast food or something. *Zhono turns to Nevan after his comment on how mags aren't very common in Kadilianse* Apparently not. *Zhono chuckles* So, you're a mage too, huh? *Zhono looks Nevan over, he looks to be experianced with teleportaton. Maybe he can learn a few tricks from Nevan. Or at least exchange stories of each others travels.* What school of magic do you study? *Zhono finally takes sip of his coffee before pooring it out* $10 for this?! I think I'll stick to tea...

Nevan hms.  "Uh, well, no school, really...I'm not that good myself.  I just have one small natural ability, and a stone that turns that ability into teleportation..."  He looks a bit bashful.

"There are mages where I'm from, but they mostly keep to themselves.  I guess I've got some mage ancestry, 'cause everyone who does has some random little ability like mine.  Some more than others, but usually nothing special.  I can just change my appearance in little ways, but I don't usually.  But this stone..."

He pulls a necklace out from under his shirt, with a small amethyst clasped in gold.  "...was given to me by a lone old mage.  When I use it, instead of changing myself, I change my location.  It's all by feel, so I only have control when I'm going to the most familiar places.  Otherwise I just get...the *kind* of place I'm looking for.  I was just curious what society is like at this stage of development...I'd just never been to a time like this before.  Always before or after."

He shakes his head.  "Sorry I'm not more helpful.  I'm much better with technology.  Although..."  He thinks for a moment, touching one of the brown 'comets' on his cheek.  He drops off talking to himself.  "Well, not that I would really want to do that.  Besides, it doesn't last."

Brendyn sighs. "It's not the worlds fault, Gel. It's just what someone started long ago, and the idea grew and grew.Think of Newton's Law of Gravity. Besides, in the event of a recessive technological disaster, people would wish they were more like you." Brendyn gave Gelidus his best smile.

*Zhono's ears perk up as Nevan trails off into silence. He looks at the comet on his cheek that he touched. Suddenly, Zhono gets a feeling that he may have seen something like that before... but where? Maybe he saw that in another realm?* No. The closest thing I can think of was the marks on the citizens of Equestria. But those had no real special properties, as they were mostly a symbol of caste and profession due to thier activities and talents as a child... *Maybe he found them in a tome somewhere?* Hmm... Can't say I remember anything. Of course, I've read so many books that I can't hope to remember everything, even with magic...

*Zhono then pieces that together with the statements "Not that I'd really want to do that." and "Besides, it wouldn't last* that he just barely caught in his mumbling off. Don't want to do what? What wouldn't last?* Grr... why can't I remember?

*After about a minute of awkward silence between him and Nevan, He cocks his head to one side* Err... is something wrong, friend?

*Zhono looks suprised at Nevan, He does have some unique powers! But...* ...it would harm him? Then I shall immediately rule it out. I wouldn't dream of harming him! Not only is it against the Mage's Oath, it would just be plain wrong. Why would I want to harm someone as cute as him? Still, I'm curious about what he is talking about... So, it would harm you, eh? Then I won't even ask you to do so. It's not exactly important anyway. I just thought you had some tips...  *conjures up a cup of darjeeling tea and takes a sip* However, you have piqued my curiosity... Maybe you can still tell me what the procedure is and what makes it so harmful? *Zhono cocks his head to one side* I mean, if it's any of my business, that is.

Nevan blinks.

"Harmful?  N-no, it's not harmful.  It's just, well-"  He scratches his head, and takes a breath.

"I guess I'm like a reincarnation of this mischievous fox from before, who was punished for trying to be too powerful and messing himself up in the process?  Except I didn't know it, and was raised like normal, and only ever had the one little shifting ability..."

"But the mage who gave me the amethyst also gave me some old clothes and a ball, which apparently belonged to this fox.  I started having dreams, and then he was like a voice in the back of my head (I know, it sounds kinda crazy), and then somebody did some sort of cloning spell on me and when there was two of me one became him.  It didn't last, because neither of us was whole without the other.  But he can take over and make me look more like him, or he can seperate from me for a short period of time.  But I don't like him.  He's always got ulterior motives."

He sighs again.

"Anyway, he knows way more magic than me.  And I guess one of the first big things he did was dimension travel."

*Zhono crosses his arms and looks down in thought* Humph... well thats to be expected. Cloning magic cannot usually occour without an extreme burst of emotion, and even then it's hardly ever intentional... At least, that's what I've read in Prof. Artyl's accounts... *Zhono regains eye contect before softly smiling at the obviously worried fox*  Hey, don't worry. Nothing sounds crazy to me anymore. But... how would something like that (In theory of course. He sounds like he could endanger you.) be of any help to me? It just sounds like you just have an annoying extra soul in your body to me...

Nevan hms.  "I guess you could call it that..."

He shifts uncomfortably.  "But, I just don't agree with his morals, and he tends not to want to let go once he gets control.  We made a deal last time that has seemed to help..."

"Anyway, the only times he's ever been really harmful that I know about were in his own defense, and by accident.  He likes to show off, and do things for people...usually to get something for himself."

He lightly raps his claws on the table, thinking.

"He also likes to take chances, and not tell you his plans until it's too late to voice complaints.  He gets into a kind of whirlwind that's hard to keep up with."

*Zhono looks worriedly at Nevan* A deal? This doesn't sound good at all... Uhm... a deal? What kind of deal? Nothing too extravigant I hope... it sounds like one shouldn't deal with such a spirit...

Nevan blinks, thinks, then shakes his head.

"Nono, not like that.  I...well, he's always using tricks to get his way, I got fed up and tried doing the same back to him for once.  It seems to have worked.  I didn't offer him anything, just...I had something to hold over his head.  I guess."

*Zhono begins to notice that Nevan seems to be getting uncomfortable with the subject, so he tries to switch to something a little bit less... demon related* So... what realm are you native to exactly? Might I have heard of it?

Nevan remembers his coffee and takes another drink, then adusts his position.

"I dunno if you've heard of it...I don't know what to call the realm, but the land is called Unity.  I lived on an island called Mar Salis, but I was travelling.  There's a guild of Mages there, but I don't know if they often chose to travel, er, I guess, the way I do."

*Zhono's ears perk up again. He's heard of it in his studies, but he wasn't sure of the name either* Unity? I remember it being mentioned in the list of mages circles... But there wasn't much mentioned about. No specialties... no mention of an Archmage... not even a name for the realm... truely mysterious...

*Zhono adjusts himself in his seat as well, hindquarters falling to sleep, and take a sip of his tea before continuing* I don't know where I was born myself... All I know is that I was abandoned by my parents for my magic powers... *Zhono chuckles* Heh, for all I know, I could have been born in this realm, or worse... *Zhono shudders as if the teperature of the air just dropped to 40 below* Da-nee...

I did live in a realitivily small realm known as "Xol" for most of my childhood and apprenticeship... "the magic capital of the multiverse" they call it, and with good reason; it's the center of operations for the mages as an organization. Grand Sage Keria resides there, or the ultimate leader of all the mages across all realms. Because of this, we don't have Archmage. *Zhono rubs his chin in thought* Hmmm... come to think of it... I've never seen her in the flesh myself... I guess she has way to much work to do *Zhono shrugs*

I also have a home in Equestria, but I rarely use it lest I really need a break from my travels or I'm trying to work on my skills with the healing arts... *Zhono reveals a bandage on his shoulder to Nevan* ...or if I need healing that I can't perform myself... blasted Da-nee-tians...

Nevan looks slightly perplexed.

"...Across all realms?"  He scratches his head.  "I guess it makes sense...how do you get *everyone*, though?  And every version?  Or do you mean, just, *recognized* that way?"

He also perks up.  "Oh yeah, I went to Equestria once.  It was...well, I thought I'd like it better than I did.  Everyone was nice, but they didn't understand everything...it was like...more limited of a reality somehow.  I accidentally caused some problems...well, at least with that version.  That's why I'm glad there's so many possibilities.  At least I didn't screw up *the only* place like that, or something."

Oh, the term "Grand Sage" is mostly a title more than anything. The Archmages of each realm takes care of thier own realms mostly. She's just there to watch over Xol and keep the Archmages from going mavrick on everyone.

So, he's been to Equestria too? Hmmm... come to think of it, I believe I reember seeing him... Meh, doesn't matter... he was just a passers by at the time. Yeah, it is not what you would expect. I mean, it's peaceful ...too peaceful to some... but it seems like it's... hiding something, ya know? It just seems a bit fishy. Still, the magic unversity's courses of healing magic surpass even Xol's courses in quality of teaching. *Zhono's eyes brighten up as he realizes something* Hey, one of the lessons in that course is on keeping a demon under control. Maybe you should try it! I betcha it'll help with your problem, even if it's just a second spirit and not a demon. *Zhono grins at Nevan*

Nevan blinks again.  He's been doing that alot.

"Uh, maybe..."

"Then again, I mean, he's sort of *me*, at the same time...I mean, I'm *different* at all, but...if I were to do something to him...you don't think it would effect me?"

He thinks.  "Besides, I'm not too good at magic.  I just...know about it.  And the other stuff.  Yeah."

*Zhono crosses his arms and looks at the ground, sighing in defeat* ...Right... didn't think about that... *Zhono snaps his fingers  couple of times, trying to test his Teleportation spell. But to no avail* ...and besides, my Teleportation spell doesn't seem to be working for some reason; something's blocking it... *Zhono looks back up Nevan, upset that he failed to help the fox at all* So... what? Does that mean that there's nothing we can do?

Nevan's ears turn pink again.  "Oh no, it's ok.  I've been dealing with it for quite awhile, and like I said, I've currently got it under control.  Besides, I don't want to hurt him or anything.  I just wish he could *stay* a seperate person, so he could do the things he wants to without effecting me."

Nevan's curiosity is immediately piqued by Zhono's difficulty with the spell.  "Blocked, really?  Like somebody doesn't want you to use it?"

He thinks for a moment.  "Oh...you don't think it could be Aki, do you?  Er, I mean the...my other soul...reincarnated..."  He bumbles.  "I hope it isn't.  I don't want him to cause anybody else any trouble."

*Zhono's ears perk up after he catches the word "Aki"* Aki? So, that's his name huh? Well, at least that's one good thing about him... a nice name. It's unfortunate that it doesn't count for much...

It could very well be Aki that's blocking my teleportation; it could also be just a glitch in my spellcasting... there's no way I could know. *Zhon smiles again, just as cheery as ever* Ah, no matter. I was planning on exploring New York anyway... *Zhono cocks his head to one side inquisitively* Er, would you like to come along with me?

Nevan ohs.  "Uh, sure!"  He looks at the others.  "Er, nice meeting you. Sorry, I guess we kind of left you out of the conversation..."

*Zhono then remembers that there are others* OH! My apologies guys... You all were just so quiet that I forgot you existed for a second... *Zhono looks at the time... 3:00* Well Nevan, we'd better get going if we're gonna do anything at all before nightfall... *Zhono get's up out of his seat and addresses the others* I do hope we all can chat again sometime, and we probably will, as I'm probably gonna be stuck here for a while... *Zhono turns to Nevan* You ready to go?

Nevan finishes his coffee and stands, stretching.  "Yeah, I' m ready.  Er, where are we going to go, anyway?"

We're going to- *Zhono stops midstep, eyes wide. He hasn't thought of a destination yet! And, even if he had, he would have no clue how to get to it...* Oh... well, em... this is awkward... *Zhono turns back around toward Nevan. He rubs the back of his head and smiles nervously* I guess I haven't thought that far yet... *sigh* Maybe we could just walk in a random direction untill we find somewhere of interest?

Nevan nods.  "Yeah, that's kinda what I was doing when I found this place.  Actually, I was looking for a map or information...it's just so crowded, and everybody seems...I dunno, tense?"

*Zhono nods in agreement* Yeah, I've noticed that too as I was teleporting aroud the place... Makes me wonder what's got them so worked. *Zhono thinks for a moment then turns around and prepares to run out the door* Eh, I'm sure we'll figure it out soon enough. Let's go! *Zhono walks out the door and waits outside for Nevan*

Nevan blinks.  Wow, he's got energy.

He follows Zhono out the door, and points left.  "Well, I was going this way when I saw the shop, but..."

*Zhono looks in the direction Nevan was pointing. In that direction was a large intersection with plenty of flashing ads, large skyscrappers, cars and pedstrians hustling and bustling to get to here, there, and everywhere... Not unlike the same city in D'ni, only the air is much cleaner...* So, this is what Times Square looks like in this realm... *Zhono looks back at Nevan and grins* Who, knew such a small and quaint little coffee shop was set up next to one of this realm's great landmarks, huh? So, anywhere that you see that you would like to go first? Or would you like to take lead?
