Yeah AMG harrassed a developer

IMVU thought it was the last straw and deleted his account

Thats pretty much all I know

OK. Just found it on the IMVU forums.

Quote
Folks,

As some of you may have heard, the Developer formerly known as AMG has been disabled.

AMG had attacked another Developer by altering their product info pages hosted on his site to become publicly viewable p o r n in the IMVU catalog. This was a malicious act that admittedly had no motive. It also demonstrated an inability to understand the impact of his actions on the IMVU user base at large and gross moral misconduct.

This act so blatantly disregarded our TOS and Mature Content Policy that we had to take immediate action with heavy consequences. We hope that his actions can serve as an example of the type of conduct that is absolutely not tolerated on IMVU.

Sincerely,

You just can't buy his stuff any more. If you already own one it'll still work.

That is not exactly true, at least thats what Wynter said. *searching for AMG's cached developer page on google*  He has an idea.

Yeh, if that works then maybe there are a few other "things" you might be able to still buy... :snicker:

I was pretty shocked when I found out about AMG, too.  :shcoked:

How sad that he would do such a thing. His pose work was undoubtedly some of the best. At least IMVU had a good reason for disabling a good dev this time, unlike some other cases I've heard of.  :umm:

I only own one AMG product.

I right clicked on the product in my inventory and selected product information.
That's the url for the product. That should be it's ID at the end.  470498
These I got from my wish list.

I'm not sure of the all the AMG products I posted, but all the other should be restricted.

There is a funny thing though... I Still have AMG's products in my wishlist, some of them atleast. If I would purchase them now, I would simply get them too...

I wouldn't try that unless you hear it works from a trusted source. (some one who has done it)
You may loose credits from it. I haven't tried it myself so I wouldn't know.

Get them better soon. I don't know if IMVU is able to remove things as such from your wishlists...

Hey folks, good news: AMG is back again! He came back under new name: SOS. So go to his page, and leave him a welcome back message!  :D :sparkle:

I advise against it.

AMG a.k.a. SOS is in violation of the terms of service agreement.

Quote
9. Termination of service
You agree that IMVU, in its sole discretion, has the right (but not the obligation) to delete or deactivate your account, block your email or IP address, or otherwise terminate your access to or use of the Service (or any part thereof), immediately and without notice, and remove and discard any Content within the Service, for any reason, including, without limitation, if IMVU believes that you have acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of the Terms. Further, you agree that IMVU shall not be liable to you or any third-party for any termination of your access to its program or services. Furthermore, you agree not to attempt to use IMVU after said termination. These Terms and Conditions of Service shall apply even after the termination of your account..

Does it mean that we can't even welcome him back? Besides, we don't know if he made an agreement with IMVU about that. IMVU might ban you for 30 days for example, and after that you can come back I believe... and if they would have banned him, I think that he couldn't come back...

I'm just advising against it is all.

And he clearly is violating the TOS.
All IMVU users make that agreement when signing up.
If he never made the agreement then he would have never been a member and not existed on IMVU.
Eventually he'll get found out and his newly submitted products will be deleted just like last time.

If you want to know something, he's connected to why IMVU has recently deleted disabled products from users inventories.
People were finding ways to sell disabled products off site.
