Initially I liked Nyan cat, but PGRGuitarman really decided to milk the value out of a nice internet meme with the iPhone game he put out and all those commissions just sent it into overkill. So I'm not too crazy about the spinoffs and fanart, but I like the original video.

Yeah, people love profiting off of their viral videos with T-shirts Iphone games hats hoodies, downloading the video for a fine, and sequals to the video... it gets so annoying =_=

I'd like to point out all bad sequels and such that have been made of games and movies, to make money. Pirates 2 and 3, Tron 2, the Silent Hills... Sometimes people need to learn when and how to stop.
Which brings me to my opinion of that Nyan Cat. It was catchy, it was for the simple minded, it was random and it had a cat. Easily a meme. Though it's gone a bit too far and I'd like to see people kinda... move on.

I remember when these came into my store, and I was like, wtf is this poptart cat pooping a rainbow for? My boss laughed, and told me about it, but I never looked it up....the emoticons I just used have expressed my emotions perfectly after watching the majority of that.....for some unknown reason.

Errr...it's cute. I like it. Nothing wrong at all with some fanart, t-shirts or commissions. In fact, a Nyan Katie would be epic. But there's no need to be obsessed...especially obsessed to the point that you feel the need to make a thread asking people's opinions about it.

This was cute the first time I saw this, but now it's just overkill. I can barely listen to it for thirty seconds before moving on. I can't believe there's actually a 24 hour version of this up on youtube... ugh ten minutes is torture enough x_x

i liked the original better (no, not the stupid cat). the original song is called Nyanyanyanyanyanya! and its sung by Miku Hatsune. the version heard in the Nyan cat video however, is the cover sung by the UTAU Momo Momone
