Title: Celestial Moon Art
Post by: Lunaris on June 03, 2011, 09:14:31 AM
Okay, I'm mediocre at best, but I make these drawings with love :P
Anyway, I did not have any artistic education, so advice would be appreciated.

First, let me show you an older pic of Deoxys.
This one got 15 views on FA lol.

And then, we have our most recent pic, a cute Espeon harvesting 11 views on FA... Better than nothing :P
It's based on that Espeon sketch of Sushi8/G-Sun.
Her ear is bit too big...

So, there you have it.
I hope you enjoy :)

My recommendation would be to focus on the anatomy a bit more, make the hands seem realistically sized on other words. Anatomy is a pain, trust me I know  T_T. And the ears on the seconded one are fine, stuff like that its typically ok to play around with.

Thanks for the tip.

Here's Ariados...
I kinda overdid it with the Dodge. Sorry about that.

More ancient stuff:

11 hours... It took 11 hours... And yes, that's Kleever.

Mwee.

Blech.

Meh.

Guess P.E. is good for something after all. Took all day, too:

Hooray for cuteness!

Drawn with a mouse:

Currently working on:

With the exception of the last one, they were all drawn months ago.
So, comparing them to my recently drawn pics, how much did I improve?

Of course, what took me 11 hours six months ago I can now achieve in less than 30 minutes for the line art, and a hour or two for coloring and shading in that quality.

Thanks.
It's always nice to see people return to my gallery. :D

Anyway, here's one of my own characters, although I don't know if mermaids are considered furry:

Name: Chzeroas
Nickname: -
Species: Water demon, mermaid, Dark Sorcerer/Ominous Affaire
Age: ???
Gender: Female
Alignment: Dark
Element: Water
Favorite thing: Her tentacles are her pride
Creator: Cosmic power governed by strong currents in water
Habitat: Arcanius, Atlantis

Chzeroas (Demonisticus Chordata Sulfurnid) is the big sister of Procella, and one of the seven Dark Sorcerers.
Her body is composed of unknown water.

She is a bit shy and is vengeful at times, and treasures her tentacles.

She ruled Atlantis before she got turned to stone and Atlantis sank.

She can form two anthro sharks from water.

Looking deep in her eyes will result in one’s mind becoming paralyzed, as if turned to stone.

Her special move is Tidal Wave, and her fusion move is Fusion Deluge.

She is based of both Chaos Zero (http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg28/azizidark/chara_chaos.gif) and Bai Tza (http://images.wikia.com/jackiechanadventures/images/8/8e/Bai_Tza.jpg) (link in their names).
Her name is an anagram of “Chaos Zero”, with only one of each letter present.
She also is based on the concepts of both a lamia and Medusa.

She is sometimes depicted with two legs instead of a tail.

My first time with the pen tool.
I just need to figure out how to make the lineart more smooth, without being unrealistically smooth, as well as less bumpy.

I know it's not anatomically correct, but meh.
Let's call him Dragone for now, as in "dragon", "bone" and "gone" because he's... Gone. (Un)dead.
