I'm just curious to know how many people are true furies. :? :? :?

Just because someone doesn't wear a fursuit, doesn't mean that they aren't a true furry. Just saying.
I don't wear a fursuit or a tail (don't have either), my art isn't that great, and I wear my rhinestone collar only sometimes, but I'm still a true furry.

This doesn't exactly define you as a "true furry" being furry has a multitude of definitions.

There is no such thing as a "true furry", it can be both a hobby and a lifestyle, for most though I think it's a hobby.

I doubt there's a definition of a "true furry."
If there is, then I probably wouldn't be one.
I don't draw furry art, I don't wear fursuits yet, I haven't gone to any conventions.
You tell me, does this make me not a true furry? =S

I officially started to be Furry in '05, but I didn't really because a "Social Fur" until last year.
It takes a bit to really get into it for some, but you can just pick it up whenever.
And can just as easily be dropped.

I don't think there's such a thing as a "true furry", as it's just a phrase people interpret differently. Personally, I've never been to any cons, though in a year or two I wouldn't mind visiting Anthrocon in PA (I used to live there, so it'd also be a trip down memory lane, lol). The most I do is have an interest in the characters, and I've been practicing drawing anthropomorphic characters (not that I do it well, but practice is practice), mostly because it's just fun. It's more of an artistic hobby for me, though from what I've seen, it also looks like a great social hobby too. ^^

i just do art and its not that good. i where my collar some times( to malls and fur meets) and i have a tail but i don't where it out side of cons .... but a true furry is any one who wants to be part of the fandom in any way. and thats why iam not casting a vote for your pole

I got quite a big interest in anthros, and ferals as well for that matter.. So yeah, I should be a "true" furry.
For the poll, I'd most likely wear just the tail due to not owning a fursuit.. however, I believe I'd rather consider a partial suit over a full one.
Other more 'extreme' and unrelated stuff I do includes believeing that I have a "inner fox" or at least have some sort of connection to canines, more specifically the fox, in general. I do wear a collar and I do tend to make quite a few animal-like noices to express myself. I do also, rarely but sometimes, use said noices over words since I feel it's easier for myself to express myself with a specific noice instead of explaining in words, even though not everyone always understands me. I have however on done that with people close to me... which is pretty much only my family and mate.
I do not believe the latter more 'extreme' stuff I just mentioned however is what makes you a furry. The only true definition of a furry is someone interested in anthropomorphic creatures, usually 'furry' art and of course not only the mature art! However, you don't have to be a furry just for being interested in it, if your a furry or not in in my opinion completely your choice, some people take part in the fandom only for being a part of the community while others take it even further than I do! It's really your own decision.

I probly won't ever go to a convention, but I do wear a collar every once in a while and draw my art every once in a while too. I take time off from being fur-like, but I will always come back to it. Drawing or wearing the collar helps calm me down if I'm really depressed.
