Soooo, I've finally decided on a more permanent-ish fursona for myself. But I'm a girl, and the character is a boy. Is this common? xD
I mean he suits me. And female characters just never seem to interest me.

I've seen it both ways (female with male fursona/male with female fursona). I don't see anything wrong with it. It's just what people see themselves as.

There's lots of people that mix and match, characters can represent personalities that could be more associated with one gender compared to another, could be just for fun, or many other possible reasons.

:D Cool. I don't feel like such a loner. I've just never met anyone with opposite gender fursonas.

Shhh
Don't tell anyone but I'm actually a girl ;D
I'm known as Tombunny in a couple of places and I love that
A couple years back I realised I'm probably bigender and I'm okay with that...sometimes I wish I was a guy IRL and having a guy fursona and RPing with it online really helps that...it means I can be as girly or tomboyish as I like IRL and as boyish or girly as I want on the nets! =3
I have both girls and guys as fursona and I love both equally...though my girl fursonas aren't that girly...more tomboyish =3
Fursonas are fantasy and adventure...it doesn't have to be who you WANT to be it could just be who you would like to experience what it FEELS like to be =D

All of my fursonas are guys, and im a girl.
I just like guys XD so i cant help but make characters for them.
I really dont care to make a female fursona... there kinda not fun for me to draw
thats my only reason i can think of, really.
Besides my main fursona is a mutt deamon, Armagare. I dont even think he has a gender.....*thinks about that*

My friend is a guy with a girl fursona.

I never let gender be in the way when I roleplay (D&D/Pathfinder/tabletops), I get an idea and I play them. It's fun though when you're the only one in a party of five with a character of the other gender. :P
Anyway, I think it's quite common for one, and widely accepted too.
I am physically one gender and happy with that, I am mentally bigendered and Puncia is androgynous (not transgendered). I would never lift a brow at someone that finds a different gender (assuming there are more than just two) as interesting as their own.
