So I hear a lot of people complaining about work if they're employed, school if they're waiting to be employed, or being unemployed in general. What's your dream job? What kind of traits or tasks would you have, or would your workplace have?
For me, I would love a job that had a really great work environment. I would not like to deal with the public (aka, no sales or customer service positions for me) and I would like to sit at a desk and do awesome things on the computer. And since I'm fantasizing here, it would be also great to work at one of those really innovative companies that let workers take nap times (such as Google), provide a DJ station (twitter) as well as a free snack kitchen (Apple).
How about you guys??

Aw man, anything having to do with taking care of animals.
I'd jump outta bed every morning to get to work! :D

That or working at an animation studio :P
-
Yup. That too.
I love doing art, and I've been dabbling in 3D animation in my Computer Graphics class. :)
Its a lot of fun, but a bit frustrating at times. Maybe I'll post some om my old videos here. :)
-
for me it would be zoology ( working with wild animals )
-
Pretty cool! Have you guys had experience in that field so far? animal shelter or volunteering or whatnot???
-
No, not really.
I've taken care of pets and things, but no real experience. :)
I want to go into zoology, but then I'd have to go to school for forever! DX

Working backstage at a theater company. Making the sets, doing spotlights, all the behind the scene stuff. If theater wasnt dying, I would do it.
-
Pretty much, Id work with game creating. From designing the overall game to testing it for bugs and glitches and crud that the player hates to see...unless they are glitcher's who like to get outside the general play area. if all fails, Ill be that electric dude makin teh powers going to your house ;)
-
Personally, theoretical physics or Biology interest me equally. Probably going to go for a Major in Biology with a minor in theoretical physics (I'd prefer the other way around, but hey, SD is famous for its schools in Biology o.o)
-
Hmmm... Therotecal phyics? :/
-
Web designer. o.o As a spare time thing. For my main career.. HOME ICE CREAM TRUCK DRIVER! 8D or..
Possibly an architecture? Though I do like designing houses and stuff, I'm sort of impatient with some of the software.
I could list a couple of things I seem interested in but I'm not sure~ like IT support at a school (get paid to sit there in an air conditioned room and bust kids for being on facebook in class!! :D), maybe an IT/English teacher, something in computer repair (I would have to learn way more though. xD "MUM CALL KYLE, I CAN'T GET THE RAM BACK IN") orrrr.. I dunno, but it would most likely have to be something down the computeryish path.

I think I could easily be a game tester, though hopefully that would not mean testing games like Amnesia: the Dark Descent. Business administration seems good too, crunching numbers is perhaps my only specialty.
-
Vet tech.
Or basically anything working with animals.
(:
-
I was thinking a vet tech too, that's my plan B. :D
Plan A is to do graphic design.
-
Mechanical or electrical engineering. I love physics! X3

Hmm.. we would be an epic team! I'll do the games like Amnesia, and you do everything else :D

Anything IT related would be nice that i don't have too drive 30+ miles one way for every day. my f150 4x4 with 33in mud bogers don't get that good mileage even when making 10-15 an hr. i am A+ certified but that only seems limit my jobs atm. no one is hiring for IT in my local town and even when i go apply at for a general labor job i hafta hide my A+ cert or ill get the overqualified remark and they refuse too hire me. Kinda funny really i go out try and get that piece of paper that says i know what i already know and it only makes things worse hmm not all is lost yet i have previous summer jobs that i enjoyed coming up with the 4th of july approaching i don't mind unloading trucks 12 hrs a day 7 days a week for 3 months at jakes fireworks main warehouse. fast money and you dont have anytime too spend it so it works all the way around.

I have 3 diffrent
Dna and gene reaserecher
Video Game producer
Flight attendant
All seem so very awesome in their own way<3 but i guess id love the videogame producer the most since I'm quite good at making ideas and stories! :D
-
Plan A - Interior designer
Plan B - Veterinarian
Plan C - Professional Cuddler XD
-
I would first and foremost like to be a novelist, but on the side I have considered being a comic artist and/or video game creator/designer/producer as I would love to make up stories and scripts and levels and characters and gamplay design for a game, then have other people do the actual making it once I've thought it all out. X3

Design Engineer (Architecture, Landscape, Aircraft, and Naval/ Marine)
Biochemist (in Botany, Zoology, Microbiology)
Astrogeologist
Paleontologist

My initial reaction to this question is author. And I'm already actively pursuing that one. I have one book out and available that I self published that's the first in a series of six, I have another manuscript that's awaiting it's second draft, and another one about werewolves that's currently a work in progress.
I've also been thinking about going back to school and getting a degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, so one day I can open my own Hollywood production studio. I'm so tired of seeing my favorite books, games, and older movies get utterly shitty adaptations and/or remakes, so I figure if you want something done right, you've got to do it yourself. I aim to change the game in Hollywood, and finally put substance over style; where it belongs.

A stripper.
<3

GO PHYSICS!! I would def want to do something related to my degree (physics). If not I would want to do something that keeps me on my toes and keeps me thinking. Nothing thats the same day after day.
