Im not really sure what sexuality I am really. I dont worry about it much though :P

i never said they were. i just know that there are people out there that are closed minded ranters who would rather argue for hours on the lossing side of an argument than accept the posibilitys. and all i ment by what i said is that i personaly i'm not a judgemental person cos i have no reason to be, if i offended you then i'm sorry but the sad truth is that the world is a dark place and not everyone will be as willing to accept what everyone has to say.

There has been, but it has never been stamped, so new ones are made.

Pansexual seems to fit the best thinking about it, I find the physical attraction lean more to guys, but that doesn't mean I don't love the female body, its quite a master piece :P. But all serious, its not what you are or aren't, is who you are and who you aren't that I find appealing.

She's got a point. It was slightly poor word choice on your part. The way you worded your text gave the impression (to me, anyway) that you consider pansexuals to be more open-minded simply because they're more open in their sexuality and that other sexualities are less open-minded simply because some of them like to call pansexuals bad names. Considering the context, I personally took it as you taking a shot at heteros because there are close-minded people among them who do criticize pansexuals (as well as gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transexuals, etc etc).

It just didn't seem necessary; especially considering a pansexual had already made mention of their own pansexuality and not gotten any grief for it. So apologies if I took it the wrong way, that's just what I saw in it. But I digress...

As for my sexuality, I'm not entirely certain at the moment. I've considered myself about as straight as they come for most of my life, but recently I've opened up to the possibility that I may be bi, at least to an extent. I can't imagine myself actually having a sexual relationship with another man, but I can see myself as being romantic with one should the right guy come along, and with that I can see how it could potentially lead to a sexual relationship.

So as of now, I'm undecided. I chose bi because though I've yet to meet a guy who could swing me the other way, I can certainly see the possibility.

I've never seen anyone who was truly ugly before. Although sometimes I see people with nice hair and things like that but that doesn't seem to appeal to me other than it just looks unique. When I become attracted to this I try to make that person as happy as possible and protecting him/her when many things are at stake. I've gone out on dates with a variety of people. Some click on to me others don't. To tell you the honest truth the only ugliness I can see an individual is conceit, pride, greed and a lust for sexual contact because the person physically appeals to their eyes alone. >:( That to me is ugliness. I've had people pester me because they thought that the people I go out with are strange and ugly to them. I really don't understand how a person who is kind, generous, trustworthy and high spirited can ever really be ugly :/ . I don't know maybe I'm just weird :?

Apparently I'm a pretty obvious one too because, even though I have yet to officially come out publically, those that I have mentioned it to (including my mother) weren't really suprised. First, if it wasn't for the fact that women still turned me on I'd be full blown gay. Second, the reason I like my own gender is because I can relate to them better than with women. I feel more comfortable around guys and my curiosity in men is more prominent than in women.

XD Haha, you just made me remember a scene in the Simpsons Movie.

Yeh, same situaton. I used to be bi but, one day in school, while I was doing my work, a random thought popped in my head. "Alright, so if this triangle is a right triangle and angle B is 29 degrees then angle A must- Do I still like females?" (yes, I'm THAT scatterbrained)

After thinking about it for a moment I thought "Nope" and continued doing my work without skipping a beat.

My mom doesn't seem to think I'm fully gay though... :/

I'm actually in a similar boat with the genitals thing; I really don't like male or female genitalia (hell, I don't even like seeing a girl's nipple, even though I find cleavage to be incredibly attractive; go figure), but I'm very much attracted to certain parts of both male and female anatomy. I think as far as sexuality goes, it all depends on whether you're still willing to engage in intercourse with another person, regardless of whether or not you like, or are turned on by, their genital area. That's why it's called SEXuality and not GENITALuality (what the hell kinda word...? lol), yeah? :)

I see. Well I didn't mind yiffing on Second Life with my friend who was a male, but I wasn't turned on either and was very aloof about it. And I wouldn't mind doing it with a female either, but I also wouldn't be turned on and I'd also be aloof. That being said, would I be a bi fur? Sometimes I've considered myself bi in the furdom with a very strong male preference, but I stuck with gray-a because I'm a fetishist and that's what keeps my interest on a male or woman. Very rarely do I like them just for their bodies.

The only reason I yiffed in Second Life was to test my sexuality; I wanted to figure out my sexuality. But if I wasn't aroused by the gay yiff I had with my friend there then I guess gay is out of the question, but I do still like male furries for their bodies, I'm just not that all into yiff (art) (but I do like gay yiff art somewhat, even if it may be on a very small scale). But that doesn't really change anything, does it? If I don't really get anything out of porn but instead out of clean art?

I think it has something to do with the greater recognition and acceptance of pansexuals, even to themselves.

I can speak for myself (please read my post on page 9). I had experiences with being attracted to even really effeminate guys who looked more like girls than guys. I mean, I know that I am technically still male, and that she is technically still male, but I just see the female things in her. So, basically I am attracted to females, but not just females that are biologically female.

I did not even know the feeling and experiences was having had a name until I talked to her and she said that I could be pansexual. I started looking up what it meant, and a lot of the description felt right to me.

Heterosexual, your sexually attractied to the oposite gender
Gay, your sexually attrated to the same gender
Bi, your sexually attracted to both genders
Pansexual, your sexually attracted to both genders and their gender identities (somebody correct me if I'm wrong there)
Asexual, you don't show any sort of sexual attraction at all

don't stress yourself out about it. it's no big deal. there are plenty of gay people who are not the slightest bit interested in having sex/// just as there are plenty of straight people.

I've just always been clueless as to what my sexuality was, but I guess I can't really find out if I never have been in a relationship in real life. But as far as I know, I'm gay as a furry due to me being in a relationship with another male fur and I'm loving it.

as i said, it's really not worth worrying about. i'm still sexually attracted to women, yet i call myself gay.... WHAT??? ... the thing is, these words; 'gay' 'straight' and whatever else. they're just tags to categorise people into comfortable cubbyholes that they almost certainly don't perfectly fit into. the worst thing you can do for your own sanity would be to carve yourself into one of them.

just relax. make intimate relationships with whoever the hell you want. it honestly is not that bigger deal

if it's someone you know really well, then you can launch into all the details with that beautiful sentence starter "it's a long story". if it's someone who you don't know, just say something general that kinda describes you. whatever you feel comfortable being known as.

Well, in real life I consider myself asexual, but I have never been in a relationship before so I don't know what I would like. I just call myself that because neither men or women (IRL) attract me in the slightest.

In the furdom, I consider myself gay, because I'm in a relationship with another male, and I find myself attracted to other male furs as well. I've found some female furs to be attractive a few times, but that is so rare that I just call myself 100% gay.

I guess I'll just stick with those then if you say just call myself whatever I think I may be.

Post by: flames on August 26, 2011, 09:04:27 PM: I think the main problem with trying to label sexuality (besides the obvious fact that we're trying to label something almost impossibly diverse) is that simply breaking it down into all these categories isn't enough. Even if you consider sexuality to be a line with Absolutely Heterosexual on one end and Absolutely Homosexual on the other with Bi dead set in the middle this doesn't account for Pansexuality, Asexual or the rejection of the gender binary.
Even upon expanding it to a 2D plane with the y axis now representing the intensity of sexuality (with top being sexual and bottom being asexual) this is still overly simplistic...but from what I've seen, plotting a point on this sort of graph remains the best "at a glance" method of describing most people's sexuality without going into overt detail.

At the end of the day most people are ignorant of even well-established labels and many still fight against them or deny their existence. When push comes to shove the best thing we can do is choose a label that is convenient to us and then explain further when appropriate.
