Hey everyone! I was just wondering how do you greet new furries online and in RL? Do you use roleplay, and in what degree? Do you think there are any rules to this? I'm just starting out and I need some pointers.
Thanks!

you start off the same way you introduce youself to anyone else. Like this. Hi, Im (name). I like (likes) and am happy to meet you.
Im Macid the Lynx. Welcome to our forums. Whats your favorite color? :)

What I mean is what is YOUR way of greeting someone (a furry) you just met on the forums and in rel life? How do you start things off with a newcomer? Do you use roleplay (online of course) and how much of it? Just curious.. Sorry but I can't explain it better than that, Daemon. :)
Thanks Macid.

Well normally I would just ask them how they were, then go from there, I don't normally use anything more than *huggles* or *Paws at* etc. unless it's on a forum I do not Roleplay.
If it is in real life, I'll greet them either by a handshake, a smile or a hug, depending on their preference, ask if they're having a good day and about certain aspects about it, crack open the humour bucket and then have a smashing old time :3

I just talk like I would to anyone else. I personally dislike roleplay, as it almost always leads to people getting a little too into it, and doesn't actually teach me anything about them as a person to boot.

You say hi, (whatever their name is)! :D and when they look at you all confused, you tell them what your name is and then they'll look at you and be all like "OH! LOL" Then you go off into how they been and what's good. If you're cool and not socially awkward you might even get to party. :P
