Title: DeviantArt + Virus attacks?

Almost every time I go on any page on Deviantart It comes up red saying that something on the page is attempting to access my computer, and a moment later Norton pops up saying that it blocked an attempted attack my computer. Any help with why that might be? It doesnt happen with any other site, only DA.

Edit:  Okay, it doesn't seem happen absolutely every time I go on DA, but it still happens very often and not on any other sites...

It might have something to do with the ads on there. Do you use an adblocker?

I use Google Chrome for surfing, and unfortunately it doesn't come with an adblocker... so no, I don't  :/

What adblocker would you recommend if I should be using one?

I don't use Chrome, so I don't have any personal experience with it, but you could try Adblock plus: http://www.chromeextensions.org/appearance-functioning/adblock/

hmmm... do you get blocked accesses from DA or can you still go on?

Whenever it happens I get blocked access yes

I think Zeph is correct in that its to do with ads, as this does not happen every time, and not even on the same images or pages (this would be because the ads are randomized each time you load a page I guess)

well if you are still getting blocked from DA randomly you should give Malwarebyts a try, and see how that works for you
