Title: boy/girl
Post by: Villain on January 24, 2011, 05:39:38 PM
I have this growing feeling that I should be a boy. But its not like I don't think i'm a girl, or its not like i don't want to be a girl, but I always want to wear boys clothes (thats not boyish style clothing btw :D) and I find a huge sense of comfort and happiness when I do, like its right. I think rather boylike (from what i've been told) and I dont really seem to understand many girls, or get on with them unless they have some tomboyish qualities, but i get on with boys and feel much more comfortable around them.

Confused much? Yeah, I think I am hahaha

Anyone else get this?

It sounds to me that you're bi-gendered. Ever heard that term? It's when your personality shifts between feminine and masculine on will and with your mood and surroundings. I am bi-gendered myself and can relate to acting different from what is expected by others and feeling like the odd man out at times.

But if you feel uncomfortable in your female body and with your female assets and you wish you rather had a male body, that's a different story.

Take your time no matter what. :)

Well I would say im bisexual too, and I think that bi-gendered thing sounds about right (Afterall I do like being a girl too) So whats this bi-gendered thing in more depth? :3

Well it's like being gender free. Your likes and dislikes, preferences and feelings towards things doesn't depend on you being born as one sex. It's about not being afraid or ashamed of being outside the gender norm and acting with your heart and not your brain. Such as your preference to boyish clothes.

I feel the same way, though I haven't much been able to admit it to myself or come out and say it. I like wearing boy and girl clothing, though mostly boy clothing at time, I keep my hair short, and a lot of the time people can't tell if I'm male or female. I'm often confused for a gay boy or a lesbian (masculine) girl. I find that I feel most comfortable when people can't distinguish my gender, though, it's a problem at times when you're looking for a boy to be with look past all of that (at least in real life... There are people on the internet that do, but I don't date online) and accept it. I also notice that I've started to use cons as an excuse to get things to hide that I'm a girl. But yes, I have the same problem. I'm comfortable with my gender (being a girl) and what I like (boys) but sometimes it just feels right to not look like either.

I feel the same way sometimes. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Boy clothes tend to be more comfortable and guys tend to not be so drama-involved. I'm a girl and I like guys, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to dress in mini-skirts all the time and lather on the make-up and where bright colors and whatnot. Sometimes I do feel like a guy and I just let the feeling play through, it's not like it's hurting anything.

I put no make up on whatsoever, and have my hair rather short too, gonna have a 'pixie' cut soon i think. Luckily I have a boyfriend who knows this about me and is fine with it (and hes quite a mans man too) i get mistaken for a boy a lot, but i'm kinda happy about it. Its just so strange but its nice, and its nice not knowing i'm the only one. :3

I agree with you all on your opinions of girly girls, you dont need makeup and you dont need tiny clothes, and you dont need to be bitchy or backstabbing. I dunno about you guys, but I also really hate boys with those qualities too. :D

The camp attitude in some ways yes, but most gays ive met arent like that and theyre ace, just like most normal decent people. But most in your face attitudes are obnoxious. :D

I see no problem with being androgynous, I say if you are comfortable then I say stay the way you are.

I'm the same, I look a heap like a male, deliberately, and people constantly mistaken me for one :P And being a lesbian as well...it makes sense for people to think it, but honestly I don't mind since I'm used to it, been like it my whole life.
It's got its advantages...If a girls public toilet is crowded, you can always go into the boys ;D bahaha.

I'm exactly the same way. That's why I get along with my mate so well. :P
I do wear girly clothes, but I'm a tomboy. I can't stand just sitting around and talking with girls. There's only one girl I'll do that with and she's a tomboy too. It's just more fun that way.
ha im the same way, the only girls i hang out with are other tomboys.

but i just like wareing the cloths and acting like guy sometimes, i feel they have more fun anyway XD i've been like that my whole life.
dolls always freaked me out and action figures were always cool to me. I donno i wouldent say that im bi myself, just a girl that likes guy stuff

Honestly, there are a lot of tomboys, but I'm wondering if Villian means it runs a little deeper than that.

Well yeah,  as rigor says, It does run deeper. :) I can truly see a boy when i look in the mirror, rather than a girl who likes slingshots and climbing trees (hahah love that generalisation)

Are you possibly transgendered or something? c:

Things are looking that way for me.

Eh... So many times people get so focused on putting a name to things, we forget to just be happy with who we are. So you're a girl who's more interested in acting like a guy usually would. Why does it have to be any more complicated than that? Bi-gender, transgender, gender complicated, etc. etc. Why does it matter, really?

You're obviously not the only one who deals with this kind of thing, considering the other responses in this thread. You don't need to feel weird or alone because of it. Just do what you want to do, be happy, and ignore anyone who tries to get you down about it. :P

I only suggested it because I know my feeling about my gender runs deeper than just hanging around boys and being one of the guys. Either way, I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of, though sometimes I feel like it's hard or embarrassing to explain how I feel because it's not in the norm.

Don't feel ashamed, I know exactly how you feel ( I think) So there must be something okay about it if at least both of us think this way, and its not hurting anyone, right?? :)

Eh... So many times people get so focused on putting a name to things, we forget to just be happy with who we are.

*hugs zeph for that*, been kinda talking against the ideas of lables for such things for years, one day hopefully bi/gay/lesbian transgnedered, ect will be names of the past as we are all thought of as just normal people
