To further expand their operations the DWMA spread themselves across the globe. They set up four additional academies. One to the North, in the city of Angels, one to the East in Gold City, one to the South in Gemini and one to the West in Arbor City. Death City was in the center of them all, with DWMA:Central. Together with the rest of them they hunted for demons and witches around the world. Many of the witches formed various groups, sometimes they fought each other, but for the most part, they saw the biggest threat was the DWMA. One of the larger groups, known to the DWMA as “The Bloodcult” were mobilizing an army to fight against the DWMA. Which prompted a vast war between witches and the DWMA. During the conflict DWMA: West fell to the forces of the witches. With the loss of one of their entire academies, the DWMA had to stop the witches now more than ever.

Reno walked down a cobblestone walkway towards a large mansion. It had just turned night with the moon shining brightly over head. He was in his typical dressy outfit, white long sleeve shirt, black pants, shoes and tie. The mansion ahead was lit up, there was a large amount of activity inside. Half way to the front door you could hear a piano playing. "...Is this it? Is this the place?" Reno asked aloud before reaching the door. He stopped at the porch and looked to the left and right examining the house. Just then a large man in a black suit stepped out of the darkness in a corner. "Name." he said in a deep tone. He was clearly a bouncer of sorts. It got Reno's attention and he looked at the large man blankly. "Uhm...Reno." He said a bit nervously. "Oh and Rigor." he added in quickly. The bouncer looked at Reno and then to his left and right not seeing anyone. He just looked at a list for Reno's name. "Your name isn't on the list. You ain't getting in." said the bouncer sternly in his deep tone. "Oh...What do we do now...?" Reno said to himself. "You leave." replied the bouncer, thinking he was asked the question. Reno didn't notice however, acting as if no one was there. "...Should we kill him too? I don't know...It's for you after all..." Reno said with a bit of a sigh.
-
"We're not going anywhere," A voice from nowhere said. Without warning, a large amount of black liquid rose from behind the rabbit, it hardened into a figure perching on the rabbit's shoulders, and a tail wrapping around his torso. It hardened, and the colors of the creature filled it. Rigor grinned, her tongue flopped out of the side of her mouth, curling idly. The bouncer seemed surprised at the event. She leaned over Reno's head and got mere inches from the bouncer's face. "I suggest Reno's name be on your list unless you want to be a meal for me." She looked to Reno, hesitating at first, then disappeared reappearing in his hand as a giant axe. The axe had a giant mouth just like the dragon chameleon's, the same tongue falling to the side, then slipping back in. "I'm ready when you are, if you want." She seemed eager to fight, but knew it wasn't important if they didn't for now.
-
Five human-like figures were running down back alleys, breathing immensely as they did. "Holy shit! This isn't good!" "I told you that was the Lych! Move it man! We gotta get back to the mansion!" "Easy for you to say! You're the only once who knows the wa-" The 3rd talking figure who was tailing behind was nailed in the neck by an exceptionally long katana, which disappeared like a shadow, falling to the ground limp. The other four ran even harder, but stopped as a black wolf figure landed in front of them. "I don't think you're going anywhere, boys. You killed over 10 people today, and the people of this city paid good money to have you guys removed." The four remaining humans morphed into distorted demons. Daamon dook a stance and the demons laughed, "And how do you expect to fight us without a weapon?" "Who says he doesn't?" The source of the voice landed behind the demons, cutting them off from behind. A beautiful silver fox with long, golden hair in a school uniform stood there with an intense look on her face. At the same time, Kaiya and Daamon ran head first towards the demons and a darkness seemed to sprout from the evil-looking black wolf, engulfing the entire scene. All that was heard were the screams of the four demons followed by utter silence. As the shadow cleared, Daamon and Kaiya could be seen standing there, four souls seemingly to just float over the dead bodies of the demons. "Make it quick, Kaiya, I have a banquet for you in the mansion up ahead."

Outside of DWMA East's stadium, people were still coming in to see the three on one duel that was issued just the day before. The story behind the duel is known only to the combatants and the headmaster himself, but is kept from public knowledge to prevent the atmosphere from inhibiting the performance of the students below. The announcer's voice resounded through the stadium when the clock hit 3:00 pm as it announced the ones who issued the challenge. "Now the challenged, Jefty and Emily, please step forward!!" There seemed to be an uncomfortable silence that followed the announcement, and the challengers seemed to only get smug.
As soon as people started to leave the stands, the door flew open with a crash and out stepped a pampered collie dressed for clubbing, and a depressed dragon with his eyes down to the floor. "Pet, those things on the other side, are they the ones who interrupted my sleep?" The dragon's eyes briefly looked across the ring, and his head nodded only once. The challengers seemed to be in disbelief, until one started shaking into a roar of laughter. "The rules are simple, no soul resonance, and the fighting ends when one side admits defeat. Now begin!!" All of the challengers called up their weapons, but Jefty and Emily continued to stand there as if the fight had still not started...

"Well I don't want to kill him...He's just doing his job..." said Reno almost depressed. He had Rigor recede back inside him. By that time the bouncer was passed freaked out, immobilized by fear. Reno took no notice and just walked through the doors, leaving the bouncer to slump against the wall and take in what happened. As he walked through the doors he saw the inside, white walls, pictures, vases of flowers, all very fancy and expensive looking. There were several people walking around, dressed formally. Reno walked through an archway, looking at it as he passed through. He was then greeted by a hostess. "Hello, sir. Is it just you tonight?" "Uhm...N-No...I'm uhm...With someone else. She's right-...Erm...Behind me. She's outside, she told me to go on ahead. Aheh..." he said bashfully and scratched his head. "Alright, what's her name? I'll take her to you when she gets here." "Uhm...Name...Uhm...Rigor." "Alright, follow me." she said with a smile. She led Reno to a booth and dropped off two menus then left. "This is kinda like a...Date, huh? I've never been on a date before..." Reno said as he slid into the booth. "I wasn't hungry when I came here...But now that I'm here, I'm starving. I wonder what they're serving." He sat there dawdling for a moment looking over the room. It was very crowded, lots of rich looking people. Some eating and some dancing to the band playing on the other side of the room. "Are you hungry? Do you even get hungry?"
-
Rigor seemed bothered that they couldn't take out the guard, but after briefly mulling over it, she had decided it would make it harder for them to get closer to the rest of the souls. Her mouth seemed to water at the thought until Reno spoke up. Her temper flared at the mention of a date. "Look here you little twerp, I was made a promise that that stupid witch of yours BROKE. I am your weapon not a date." Her hand pulled out from his back and bounced his head off the table directly on the menu. "Now does that answer your question? THE MENU KNOWS ALL," she cackled pulling her arm back inside of him. "Now get your head straight. As far as I'm concerned I'm not worried about the main course as long as we get this thing done. But I'll take a slice of pumpkin pie, just so you know."

Kaiya helped Daamon up to the roof of the mansion at the edge of town, right up the side of the building. Kaiya herself hopped up the building herself, Daamon already putting the choke hold on a roof guard, snapping his neck and gently lowering the body. Kaiya merely met his eye, nodding, knowing the drill. The two of them split up and snuck around the whole perimeter on the roof, silently killing those on guard. When they regrouped, Kaiya signaled Daamon to get closer as she whispered to him, "It seems there's a large contingency of innocent people down there. The demons seem to be feeding on souls of people who get in. They feed them poisoned foods and then harvest the bodies for their souls. I pulled that info off the last guy I killed, it's amazing what kind of wimps they hire nowadays for help."
-
One of the challengers had stayed behind while the other two blindly rushed the pair. Before the pair of students could even make their attacks, though, Jefty had already nailed one in the shoulder with the palm of his hand. The following 'boom' from the hand intimidated the one who waited as his 'ally' dropped his weapon and hit the floor a good eight feet away from Jefty. Emily dealt with her opponent in a style that seemed to fit how she dressed: She kneed her attacker in the groin, then back-handed him to the floor as he fell on both knees. She then dug the heel of her foot into the Meister's hand to make him drop the weapon as she stared down the last fighter.
"Okay, maybe not all of them are trash, just the two who rushed us." She offered her hand to Jefty as if he were her knight. The moment he took the hand, she rapidly changed into an ornate broadsword whose length of blade seemed to almost be as long and heavy as Jefty was tall. Yet, he made it seem weightless as he sprinted towards the target and made a wide swing the moment he was in range. The challenger, with his electrified spear, had only an instant to get out of his intimidation and block the swing. However, the effort in doing so only resulted in the spear getting knocked out of his hands.
The duel ended with Jefty holding Emily at the challenger's throat, still looking as half-awake and depressed as he arrived. "Please don't cause us more trouble in the future, Ox King..."

Reno rubbed his head from it be hit against the table. After a minute a waitress came over, an all white rabbit. "Hey there, I'm Fei, I'll be taking care of you tonight." He looked up at her then looked back down sheepishly. "Uhm...Hello." "Are you ready to order?" He rubbed his head again, he was still in a little pain. "Are you alright?" "Uhm- Yes, I'm fine. I just-My friend want's Pumpkin pie." "Your friend?" "Y-Yes....She uhm...Went to the bathroom...But uhm...I'll take some chicken tenders, please." He said. After that he rubbed his nose to see if he had a nose bleed, he didn't surprisingly, even though his head was slammed into a table and there was a pretty girl talking to him. The waitress nodded a bit confused and walked off to get the food. "I hope we don't have to kill her..." Reno sighed, still rubbing his head.
-
"You know, if I'm to become a kishin to show that stupid witch of yours, you can't get attached to the fodder, you know." Rigor muttered under her breath. She seemed annoyed that the rabbit was so concentrated on not killing anything. "I let you have the bouncer as it is. PLUS, if this all goes like it should, we shouldn't have to kill anyone, the demons that own the place'll be doing it for us." She laughed, "Nothing like sitting back and watching everything get done for us."
-
Daamon and Kaiya quickly and silently made their way down to the next floor under them, killing guards silently as they did. The top floor was lavish with a lot of open spaces and rooms, like it was designed for various social gatherings, but no one around except for guards. "Something's not right. During a time like this, demons would be in the social areas mingling while their victims are being prepared. Unless..." In the third room that they entered, flood lights then turned on, temporarily blinding Daamon. A voice came from the shining gleam to finish his sentence, "...we were expecting you." Immediately, several demons jumped Daamon, pinning him to the ground. "I thought this was too organized. So you must be the witch behind this, aren't you? I'm going to have to charge the city more for this." The voice in the background laugh, "As if you can actually stand a chance against me! You can't even handle my men on top of you!" Suddenly, the flood lights shattered and were destroyed. "What the hell is going on!?" Taking advantage of the distraction, Daamon forced himself up and threw the demons off of him, the last one going out the window, falling a good 4 stories and a loud crash into a car in the front drive. He looked forward to where the voice had come from. There, floating over the flood lights was a young girl in a tight, green spandex suit with a black cloak. "Young and ignorant, I see. You should know that a Rogue Meister has a partner. However, despite your age, I still have to kill you, and the rest of the contingent you have here, for every soul you have all removed from this world."
-
As Jefty and Emily left the stadium, they were stopped at the school grounds by several of the upper-classmen, all wearing "Hall Monitor" armbands. "Jefty, Emily, the headmistress wishes to see you in her office as soon as possible. You will be excused from today's classes when you arrive." Emily turned her right forearm into a blade and pointed it at them. "I refuse to do whatever that old hag wants, I will not take orders from another weapon, even if she is a Death Scythe!" Jefty face-taloned himself as the Hall monitors' partners appeared and changed into their weapon states. Why does she keep doing this?!
-
Reno's food got there after a short while. As the waitress sat it down the guard that was flung out the window hit the car setting off it's alarm. It attracted the attention of a couple sitting near a window, who saw the body and proceeded to freak out. That in turn caused a panic amongst the rest of the guests as "He's dead!" echoed around. The staff of the roomed pulled out weapons, including the waitress giving Reno his food. "Shut the hell up everyone!" said one of the waiters. A few of the guests began to fall dead onto the ground from their poisoned meals. Guards in the rest of them mansion also began to move, though most headed upstairs to deal with the Daamon. Another 30 or so men in black suits rushed in with various weapons. The rabbit waitress pulled a gun dagger from her apron and pointed it at Reno. Reno jumped and put his hands in the air. "Move kid." she demanded. So he did, he slid out of the booth and stood in front of the waitress. As he was doing this he noticed the rest of the staff executing the guests. "Time to die." she said, raising her dagger. "Sorry...I don't enjoy hitting women..." Reno sighed. The waitress cut Reno across the arm, her expression changed as she saw the black blood dripping from the wound. "You hurt me first...I have every right now...That makes this easier. It really does." said Reno, still as if he didn't want to do it. "Bloody Needle..." he said. The blood oozing from his cut shot out as a needle and impaled the waitress through the chest, leaving a shocked expression on her face. As the spike receded the rest of the staff that had finished off the guests turned to him. "Get that guy!" one shouted, prompting them all to run in Reno's direction. "I guess we fight."
-
"And you didn't get that when the woman you wanted to flirt with pulled a weapon out on you?" Rigor laughed as her form oozed out of the palm of his hand and reformed into and axe. "Just be sure to leave no one standing, or I'll make sure to beat the crap out of you until even your mother doesn't recognize you." The axe's mouth opened, grinning, the tongue slobbering all over Reno just to annoy him. "Now get going."
-
The young witch shrieked angrily as her mouth seemed to widen up to her ears, opening up to that point. Several more guards came running in through the stairs and other rooms, looking more burly than the last ones Daamon's killed so far. Kaiya stood by him, surveying those coming in from behind Daamon, her mouth watering, though her face was still very emotionless, "Finally, I've been starving." The two of them fought the on-coming guards hand-to-hand. Daamon's slim figure allowed him to maneuver swiftly between their blows, snapping necks and breaking limbs. Kaiya, on the other hand, merely transformed her left arm into a blade and sliced through her side much quicker and grabbed their souls as she killed continued her little reign of massacre. The witch jumped down from her perch and glowed a bright pink as she released rays of light that pierced right through the floor, destroying it. Daamon and Kaiya both fell as the 2 floors below also crumbled, sending them down to the first floor where all the victims were being slaughtered. Kaiya quickly wolfed down the souls she got her hands on and yelled over to Daamon before transforming, "Grab on! And this time, wait for me to change, you perv!" Her figure slunk into a shadow and re-emerged as a dai-katana. Daamon quickly grabbed her and used her to hook onto the grand chandelier, 4 feet out of his own reach. Kaiaya's mouth formed at the back of the blade. "Ok, we can drop down now! You're hurting my back with your weight!" Daamon released Kaiya and dropped down, landing softly onto the rubble filled, carpeted floor. Kaiya reformed into her normal self and landed next to him, but the two had to break off really quickly as a concentrated beam was aimed right at them, causing an explosion on contact.
-
Since Emily was in no real danger, and she neglected to tell Jefty she needed his help, Jefty just stood there as she got held down by one of the hall monitors and another just kept slapping her with the flat side of their partner's blade. When they finally got off her, Jefty used his right arm as her 'floor' as she sat on his shoulder. They stopped at a bathroom so she could wash her face, elbows, and also straighten out her hair. The hall monitors let her get away with the delay since it was not only trivial, but Jefty was admitedly much more difficult to deal with than his partner.
When they arrived at the headmistress' office, Jefty kneeled down so Emily could step down. The entire display of a student dressed like a prisoner letting down someone dressed in BDSM-esque clothes only irked the headmistress further as she got up and glanced from Jefty to Emily. "It has come to my attention that at least one of you lacks the discipline to make this relationship work. So, as of today, you two are to be assigned to different partners. You have the rest of the day to find out who else you could work with. If neither of you can find a possible subsitute: Jefty will be my partner while you, Emily, will be transferred to another school."
-
When Rigor had licked Reno he let out loud "Eeeeeeewww!" As he was wiping some of it off he heard the ceiling above him creak, instantly he bolted before the door just in time to avoid being crushed by the ceiling. The ceiling gave way and crushed everyone else in the room. As the smoke cleared Reno walked into the room, which looked like it had just been bombed. There was debris everywhere. Along with souls of humans and demons alike. "Well...I didn't have to kill them at least. I suppose we should just take them now." Reno lifted Rigor into the air, with the mouth end of the blade facing the souls in the room. "Go ahead..."
-
Rigor transformed back to her organic form, looming over Reno's figure as she licked her maw hungrily and began to consume both human and Kishin egg souls alike, taking in the success of sitting back and watching the victory come to her. It was her favorite kind of victory, though fighting usually provided good entertainment as it was. She was practically beaming when she finished, but it was cut short when she noticed the other figures, and upon looking upward, a witch. "Reno, you ought to get your guard up, we're not exactly done yet," she growled, grabbing one of his ears and yanking him close to her face. "Remember, there's not supposed to be anyone standing unless you want me to follow through on the promise I made you." She grinned menacingly again, slobber dripping out of her mouth and onto Reno's head, then slapped him across the face. "Get your head in the game and stop worrying about who you have to kill and just do it. We can't afford hesitation." Before Reno could react, she dropped behind him and formed again as a weapon in his palm.
-
The young witch pursued Daamon and Kaiya, and they split up again, doing their best to catch her off guard one way or another. Daamon paid no mind to the others, but Kaiya was a bit upset at missing out on a good meal to that axe. Kaiya threw a few stones of rubble at the axe, trying to get some in its mouth before continuing her pincer movement with Daamon to get the witch. The witch glowed with the same piercing light as before and shot it in all directions. Kaiya had no problem dodging them to get out of the way, especially since she can transform quickly from fox to sword and back again, but Daamon, being one size only, had to work a bit harder. Just before a beam managed to hit his head, Daamon quickly whipped the chains from his jeans and knocked it away. He sighed in relief as he landed, "Phew! Thank god for those ordained chains."
-
When Rigor pulled on Reno's ear he let out an "Ow". Along with the slap that followed. When she drooled on his head he shook it to try and get it off. "Eeeeeww! Do you even need their souls? Isn't there some order you have to follow?" He didn't bother using her as a weapon at the time, he wasn't really in any hurry to head into a fight. He figured the witch would be able to handle the weapon and her meister. Really it would be just a show, whoever won Rigor would get a soul. "I hope she stops drooling on me...I don't like to shower with her..." he thought, moaning out loud.
-
When Reno didn't budge, Rigor almost blew a gasket. "Are you really just going to stand there and watch?!" The axe growled, wriggling around in Reno's hand, visibly upset. "She threw rocks at me, we ought to tear her arms off and beat her with them! Or better yet, force feed her her own organs after we cut them out!" She felt the overwhelming urge to beat Reno up, but knowing he still wasn't going to move, she shifted back to her other form scooping up a hand full of rocks, noticeably larger than the ones that were thrown at her, and began relentlessly throwing them at both the silver fox and her partner.
-
Kaiya sighed at the rocks coming around, and the fact that Daamon was barely trying. "Come on, you lazy ass! Stop trying to conserve your energy and just do this properly!" "But we do have another rogue and his weapon on the side throwing rocks at us. If I don't conserve my energy, then they might just come and kill us and eat our souls." "OH SHUT UP AND DIE!", shouted the witch, not liking being treated like she didn't matter or even exist. She bit her thumb and drew a symbol on the back of her hand and summoned a light which formed into 5 dragons. Daamon sighed in frustration, "Fine." Daamon pushed hard off the ground, as did Kaiya, both circling around the witch and not caring about the rocks. Daamon and Kaiya closed in and a shroud seemed to close in around, covering the three figures from view. Onlookers would just see Kaiya transform before utter darkness consumed the area. There was a shriek just before silence. As the darkness cleared, Daamon and Kaiya stood in the center, the pink tail of the witch's soul disappearing into Kaiya's mouth as she swallowed.
-
"H-Hey! Stop that, Rigor! What if they try to fight us?! Man..." Reno whined. "Ugh...I take it you want those two's souls? I guess we can kill them...I don't know...I don't want to kill another girl...I don't like hurting girls...Especially one's so-..." He stopped, blushing a bit and looking away. "Uhm-Let's just kill the witch. And get a witch soul. How does that sound? A witch soul? Does Rigor want a witch soul? Huh?" He didn't realize he sounded like he was talking to a pet before it was too late. He just braced himself for whatever punishment Rigor would most likely dish out.
-
"You idiot, they ate the witch soul!" She growled, restraining the urge to want to yank on his ears until they popped off. "Who cares what she looks like, she just took my meal!" She was obviously irritated with him. "Why did I get stuck with such a wimp? You don't even have a spine, anyone who has a pair of boobs can practically boss you around!" Rigor was poking his head as she spoke, getting increasingly harder with her poke as her level of irritation rose. "You better get to fighting, or I won't let you sleep." She began to pull on his ears despite the restraint she had earlier, "I'll transform when you quit being a baby, it's a miracle we can even resonate with one another." The dragon chameleon tugged increasingly harder, hell bent on not stopping until he agreed to fight.
-
Daamon sighed at the joke of a couple that was in front of them, while Kaiya just eyed Rigor, "YOUR meal!? I worked my ass off to get a banquet of demon souls, but some axe that I won't label, has stolen MY meal from me. So don't go prattling along like a spoiled brat!" Daamon grabbed Kaiya's arm as she was about to move forward to give Rigor a piece of her mind. "They're not worth the energy. Besides, with the way they're fighting now, it'd be no contest, and an easy victory. Come on. Let's get our payment and leave this god-forsaken village. You know I despise the smell of humans, especially since this is one of the few that are purely inhabited by them." Kaiya grumbled her disapproval, but did as she was told. The two of them turned their backs to Rigor and Reno and walked out through one of the wholes in the walls made by the witch. The two seemed to disappear into the darkness of the night, even despite the bright moon being out.
-
When Rigor started pulling on Reno's ears he started shouting to make her stop. He also ran towards Daamon and Kaiya as they were leaving. He chased them outside to find that they vanished. He looked around not seeing them anywhere. "Aww maaan...." Unknown to him there were a few demons still alive, which were following him out. He turned to see them and pointed at them. "Look! We can kill them! How would you like that?! Just stop pullin' on my ears!"
-
She stopped pulling on his ears momentarily, but crossed her arms, "You lost 'em, good job." She wasn't very satisfied with the demons, but they were better than nothing, "We can kill them, but you're still not going to sleep." She growled, "They insulted us then took off the cowards!" Her form broke down and she found herself in Reno's palm as an Axe.
-
The mayor of Crags nervously counted stacks of money with 2 of his advisers and then tied the stacks together, handing them to Kaiya. They weren't as much afraid of Kaiya as they were of Daamon, who was standing at the window, peering between the curtains, edgy and wanting to leave, but what really made everyone nervous was his anger that was emanating across the whole atmosphere. "Thank you for your business. Please understand that we had to double the charge because there was a witch pulling the strings, more than what was originally planned. I speak for Lych, too, when I say it was a pleasure to do business with you all." Kaiya picked up the money and opened up the window, leaping out with Daamon. "Dammit, Kaiya. You know I despise humans, and particularly how much they stink." "Oh, shut up, Daamon. This is only one of a few human cities in the world, stop bitching. Besides, they pay more than what we charge for a clearing job. Just be happy that we got more out of this. It wouldn't hurt you to open up a little."
-
In the hours that passed, Jefty and Emily had spent their time doing just as they were told: finding 'temporary' partners. It was a tad difficult in the prospect that not only were there a small population of weaponless Meisters and Meister-less weapons, and that their appearances tended to ruin first impressions before even the first word was said. When the bell rang for the end of the day, Emily was the closest to getting a partner, but the moment she showed her usual self is when her potential partner went for the hills.
Upon arriving back at the headmistress' office "empty-handed", a scowl crossed the Death scythe's face. "Figures that only people who could put up with either of you, is eachother..." She strutted over to Emily, and stared her down disapprovingly. "Just because your mother is my sister does not give you an excuse to act up, Emelia. A spoiled princess is a liability in any situation, especially with you mistreating my-" "Jefty can't do anything on his own, he won't even feed himself if I don't tell him to!!" Emily angrily replied as she turned her arm into a blade again and rushed at the Headmistress with a slash to the mid-section.
In a few seconds Emily was on the ground and heavily bruised, holding onto her blade-arm as she hissed through her teeth in pain. Jefty started to walk over to Emily, but the Headmistress just got in the way. "I'd rather it not come to this, Jefforson, but I cannot just stand idly by while you throw your future away for some brat in a leather dress."
For the first time since he got to school, Jefty adopted a fighting stance and his eyes lit up with a desire to fight...
-
Reno ran at the demons and chopped them down one at a time. After they were all dead he let Rigor eat their souls and walked away. He didn't say anything, but he was heading back to their witch. After a long walk they made it back. Walking inside of the house Reno closed the door behind him. "Miss Samantha, we're back..." he said walking in farther. He walked up some stairs and down a hallway, as he did so a woman appeared in front of him. "Soo...How many souls did you get?" "Uhm...A-A few...There was this other meister and weapon there...They kinda interfered..." "I see...Did you kill them?" "N-No...They escape before I could..." "Was it fast enough? What went wrong?" "It...?" "Your weapon. Whatever it's name was..." "Oh...Rigor...She was fine..." "Mhmm...Well rest up...I have something for you to do in the morning..." Reno nodded and went off to his room, the warning Rigor told him popped into his mind. "Man...I'm tired...Ugh...I'd think of showerin' but I don't like doin' that here...Not to mention Rigor..." Feeling like he could do nothing else he went for his bed.
-
Rigor scowled at the witch silently, but she was sure Reno could feel her anger. She refused to talk to the witch and when she was around her she generally didn't come out. "I hope you're not planning on sleeping, buddy boy." Rigor said playfully. "Because you have a long night ahead of you." Once Reno lied down, she manifested, her body around the top of his head, her tail wrapped around his torso. She was staring at him, grinning. "I dare you to fall asleep on me."
-
Daamon watched the area as Kaiya slept that night. She didn't like the fact that he never sleeps because he looks more and more like the undead each day, but at the same time, it was because of that, that the people ended up calling him "Lych." Kaiya yawned after waking up, stretching like it was a long night, "So where to after we deposit the money?" Daamon sighed as he thought for a second, "Well, you can do with another outfit. I don't see why you have to stick with that dirty old outfit." Kaiya's cold stare grew deadly at the mention of her uniform. "Well, at least get it replaced. How about that?" Kaiya thought a second and then examined her clothes, her face finally going back to her emotionless, cold stare, "I guess you're right. I would rather not have to learn to sew or have to patch this up... Fine... we'll go see the tailor after that. Make sure you keep a little extra this time, I also feel like a meaty lunch. Buffet." Daamon shook his head, "And I thought I have an eating problem. I swear. You eat more steaks than you do souls."

The headmistress made the first move as her hair turned into drills that went straight for Jefty. He jumped back just as they were within inches of boring him, and then lept over the drills while charging up his wavelength for a palm-strike. She threw up her arms in defense, but it only mitigated the damage as the soul attack reverberated through her body and almost made her fall to her knees. "Someone with so much promise as a Meister, wasted on a girl like that! This is why I cannot let you waste your life by playing second to this self-proclaimed princess!"
-
Reno looked up at Rigor as he was lying there, an annoyed, tired and sad look on his face. After a moment a slightly devilish grin popped onto his face. "Your tail...It's cold, it feels nice wrapped around my body like that." "Oh god she's going to kill me...Can't stop now!" His expression changed to that of a gleeful child, a warm smile, starry eyes, blushing a little looking right at Rigor just as happy as can be. "What are we going to do tonight, Rigor? Please be gentle...Maybe...If you want...We could take a bath. I scrub your back, you scrub my back. How does that sound? Or...Maybe we could just lay here all night...Together. Just like this." "Oh god! She's going to kill me for sure! Or worse yet actually agree, this was a stupid idea...AUGH I WANT TO GO BACK!!"
Meanwhile at DWMA East...
As Jefty was the headmistress a black garbed figure burs through the window. His arm turned into chains and bound both Jefty and Emily, a blade at the end of the chain positioned at Jefty's throat. "I apologize for the intrusion...But I come with a message from Central. A request really...There has been reports of a rogue meister and weapon in the city of Gusto, a wolf and fox. Not many details as of yet but they have been stirring up trouble...Killing human and demons alike. The city can't seem to rid themselves of the problem. But as you should know...We don't exactly have the manpower to send someone from the front lines...So this is where East Academy comes in...It was also requested that Emelia be sent on this mission. And whomever her current partner may be..." The feline eyed all the people in the room leaving a silence lingering. The only thing other than black robes that shown on him was his head, which looked like a tiger. He stood up from his hunched over position and looked at Jefty then the headmistress. "You should keep your hands to yourself, kid." he said. After that he retracted the chains and turned his arm back to normal, hidden under his robes. "Anyway...Ciao!~" he said jumping backwards out of the window. Once he reached outside he burnt up into a black fire and vanished into thin air.
-
Rigor's eyes grew wide at his statement. He was trying to get at her and she wasn't going to let him. "Oh, does my tail feel good around you, lover boy?" She asked tightening its grip around him, almost squeezing the breath out of him. "If I want a bath, I'll get a bath, I don't need your permission. All I have to do is.. Squeeze a little harder to get you to do what I want." She looked around, "But yes, a bath sounds nice so long as I can divide myself from yours." She stood up, all of her being separated but her tail that was cursed to stay permanently wrapped around his torso. She stood him up as well, looking him over.

Daamon had to wear a shirt whenever they were out during the day, along with a green baseball cap. Anyone who has ever seen his face would never recognize him since he's well known for the scars on his eyes and the fact he never wears head coverings and a shirt, but he endured it for the sake of being incognito. There was a low growl in the back of his throat, extremely hating the restriction he feels from the shirt and the cap, both physically and visually. Kaiya was drawing up plans with the tailor and slapped quite a bit of money onto the table so that the tailor would have it done in a couple hours with Daamon's pants as well. After paying, Kaiya went over to Daamon and dragged him off to go eat at the other end of the shopping plaza. There, Kaiya caught a lot of men's attention, gorging herself and literally several pounds of steak that was stacked high on her plate. However, every time a guy would try to come by and talk with her or just to say "hi", Daamon would eye them for a second, and they would quickly turn around and walk the other way. After eating, they went back to pick up their clothes. The two of them went in separate dressing rooms and got into their new clothes. Kaiya's uniform looked brand new, like she was going to the first day of school, while Daamon just pretty much looked the same, save the fact that his pants weren't torn anymore.
Kaiya sauntered over to him and grabbed his arm as they exited the tailor. As they walked down the plaza, they bought various trinkets here and there. Despite not having an emotion on her face, Kaiya turned pretty much the eye of everyone they walked by. "How about we get some sweets, too? I hear Italian Ice is world famous. Since we're here, we might as well, huh?" Just then, the area around them seemed to freeze into ice, a voice echoing around them, "Well, allow me to accommodate you!" Daamon sighed, "Get out of here, you DWMA dog. We have no quarrel with you." A face reflected off the surfaces, revealing a terrier's face, "Hey! I resent that!" "Try ridding yourself of that stench of yours, and the Academy's, and you'd be able to sneak up on people better. I already know where you are."
-
Jefty, rather shocked at being caught so quickly before being released, followed his feet to Emily and picked her up from the floor. "Where do you think you're going? You're my partner now..." Jefty faced the headmistress, then glanced at the tired Emily. "You want me for my strength, not for me..." He calmy walked out of her office and took Emily to the nurse. As she lay on the bed, she started to 'wake up' and lazily turned to Jefty. "Pet, where is my bed?"
-
Reno gasped slightly for air when Rigor had tightened her tail around him. It did actually squeeze the air out of him. To make matters worse when she agreed to a bath he got a nosebleed, from being nervous and getting the life rung out of him. When she stood him up he was about to pass out as it was, and that seemed to throw him passed his limits. He fell limp in her tail. She held him up with her tail wrapped around him as he was just lying there like a rag doll.
-
When he went limp in her tail, she couldn't help but snicker. He was weak, but eventually he'd learn how to get over her nature to toy with him. She honestly wasn't squeezing full force, but either way, she was going to shower. She stepped down from the bed, dragging him along the floor behind her and leaving him outside of the stall with her tail when she showered. When she finished, she grabbed a wet cloth and wiped her tail down, then wiped Reno's nose, dragging him back to the bed, his clothes getting the small trail of blood that was left behind from the first time she dragged him with the nosebleed. She then proceeded to curl up in his bed with him in the floor, getting comfortable for the night.
-
The terrier scoffed at Daamon's threat, "Nice bluff, buddy, but I'm well hidden from you." Daamon sighed and placed a hand on Kaiya, who then warped into her weapon form into his hand. Daamon then threw the sword right into the second floor of the tower next to him, running right through the ice. A few drips of blood ran down the blade as the ice all around them shattered, evaporating instantly. The terrier, holding a pair of guns, fell from the second floor, hitting the ground. Kaiya formed back to her original self and got out of the way before they made it to the ground, and walked back over to Daamon. "You were saying, you half-assed mutt? Underestimating your opponent will get you killed, Day 1 of class. Now get the hell out before I kill you." "Take your own advice, asshole!" The terrier charged towards Kaiya and Daamon, the two merely side-stepping to get out of the way, and he turned, firing rapidly. Daamon pulled the chains on his pants and they seemed to flow and protect him from each shot, Kaiya merely jumped in past the chains, forming into the sword again and into Daamon's hand. Daamon advanced with a single lean, as they all became enveloped in darkness. As the darkness faded, Daamon and Kaiya stood over the Terrier's dead body, and guns hopping away in a hurry. "You twins are a bit smarter, but find a more competent partner next time. You'll live longer."
-
Morning came and Reno found himself on the floor, his head hurt tremendously which was usually led on by sleeping on the floor. He got up and saw Rigor in his bed. "...What happened last night...? Hmm...Got home...That's when I tried to mess with Rigor and-...Wait, she mentioned shower! Oh God did she-" he checked himself over frantically. "I'm still a mess...She probably didn't do anything...Anything? Ugh...Date rape!" calming down he looked at his clothes, noticing the blood. He then looked at Rigor who was still sleeping. "Hey..You got blood on my suit." He leaned in to poke her in attempts to get her up, that's when the thought of her snatching him up and squeezing him like a teddy bear as she slept crossed his mind. After poking her he began to stand back up, hoping she didn't wake up yet so he wasn't used as a stuffed animal.
-
Her eyes opened, and she was sure that he could probably see she was irritated about it. She hadn't been sleeping, but she had been relaxing. "What do you want me to do about it?" she asked condescendingly. "You're a big boy, do something about it." Her ears layed downward on her skull, and she jumped on his back, turning black and returning back inside of his body.
-
After the commotion was over, people peered from alleyways and behind carts and window sills, but no one wanted to come out. "Don't worry about it, people, the fight is over. Who's the one who owns this broken stand?" A man's arm came up from behind a barrel not too far away. Kaiya walked up to him and placed a stack of bills into the hand. "That should more than cover the cost." Daamon sighed to himself, These people are just plain pathetic. He then pulled out a small stack of his own and pulled out ten bills, holding them up into the air, "I'll offer a thousand Zeny for the first person who removes this body from my sight." A couple people hesitated, but one teenager jumped in from inside a window and started dragging the body away. As he did, Daamon walked up and placed the bills into the kid's pocket and walked off. Daamon and Kaiya both left the village, Daamon ripping off his shirt and throwing the cap away. "Looks like the Academy is targeting us. Must have been that damned kid from the mansion." Kaiya thought about it for a second, "No, it wasn't him. The kid was still green behind the ears, and he seemed more rogue. He didn't wear a uniform or anything. You know that anyone from the Academy always wears a uniform. But still, I'm surprised that they would waste the resource to track us down considering how this war is continually escalating." Daamon thought about what Kaiya just said, stopping in his tracks, "That's a good thought. Being rogue for so long, I guess I forgot that the war was still going on. Still, curious..."
-
After packing their few belongings, Emily got onto Jefty's shoulders and they started walking down the hall of the dorms. Jefty's ball and chain dragged against the asphalt while they made their way to a train station. "So, where are we going Pet?" "We're going to the last location where another student was sent, and see where that trail goes..."
-
Reno didn't say anything in response to Rigor. Just as she went back into his body Samantha appeared by the door. "Reno, I need you to head over to Gusto." Reno turned to the withc, listening to her. "Gusto...That's...South of DWMA East, right?" "Yes, it is. There is a witch somewhere in that town...She rivals my power. I need you to bring me her soul." "Her...Soul?" questioned Reno, raising an eyebrow. "Yes, I want it for myself. I should warn you, there is a rogue weapon and meister safeguarding her. You can probably get her whereabouts from them. Also...Her powers...Well, what fun would it be to spoil the surprise!? I've already arranged for your train to take you there. It leaves in..." she paused, to look at her wrist as if she were looking at a watch which clearly wasn't there. "Twelve minutes." "Twelve minutes?!" he exclaimed a bit shocked. "Have a safe trip~!" she cackled before vanishing. Reno did a few panicked circles around the room. "AUGH! What do I bring?! I don't have time to pack! Or shower! Bollocks!" Quickly he ran to his drawers and pulled out a change of clothes. In which he changed in to. Throwing off his old clothes and hastily putting on his clean ones, all while running to the bathroom to clean his face and self a little bit. After that he ran out of his room, down the stairs, tripping half way for some reason, and out the front door. Outside he ran wildly into the city to the train station.
-
"Whoopsie," Rigor giggled as Reno tripped while running out the door, "She almost likes to have as much fun with you as I do." The last part didn't sound quite as enthused about it, but she continued nonetheless. "You know what we should do? We should eat that soul.. I should have it for myself and screw that old bat." Her hands slithered from out from behind his head and grabbed onto its skull, shaking it. "We ought to help that other witch and spit in her face... Something. I can't stand SAMANTHA, THAT LYING SACK OF CRAP."
-
Daamon sighed as the afternoon sun began sinking to the horizon, "Come on, K. We've been walking all day. How much longer to Guster?" Kaiya snapped at him, "That's Gusto, and the clients there are paying big money if we rid them of this witch. I hear she's hired her own rogue pair as well, as protection. I heard a rumor that it might be Max and Lira." Daamon scoffed, "You mean those wannabes that tried to sully our name as 'The wolf/fox couple'? Please." Kaiya gave him another stern look, "Oh, please. Last time you two fought back at DWMA, he kicked your ass." Daamon chuckled, "Yea, because you thought it was more important to sleep in that day while he had his partner with him. All I had to protect me was hand-to-hand combat and my chains. Not exactly much for any pair in class A to overpower. Don't forget, in terms of scores and performance, they were only number 5 where we were number 1." Kaiya blushed a bit at remembering that day, "Just don't underestimate them, alright?"
-
As Jefty and Emily reached the station, Jefty read the slip of paper that detailed the last location of the other student-soldier. He asked for a map and then opened it up for both him and Emily to see. "So here is where the last signal came from, and if I understand the situation right, they either failed to keep a bead on him or died in confrontation." "Rogue weapons either cause trouble or do mercenary work, and as there has been little talk of slaughtered villagers or razed towns..." "Its safe to assume that this is the mercenary kind, which means they probably are going either on foot or by vehicle wh-" Jefty staggered a bit as Emily whacked him across the head. "Who is the Master around here, I'll put two and two together!!" After a few moments of awkward silence, she sighed and wrapped her arms under his jaw. "You have permission to continue speaking..." The silence continued as she let go of his head, and she could feel herself rise as he shrugged his shoulders. "By the time we reach the location, they'll be long gone. So we'll hop on the first train thats heading towards the general area and hope our luck holds out." "What time will said train arrive?" Jefty folds up the map and looks up at the listings for today's trains. "In about ten or twelve minutes..."
-
As Reno ran into the city he spoke to Rigor. "She may lie. And cheat. And I think she watched me shower once. She also can't cook. And she scares me a lot. And she bosses me around. She's kinda mean...But well...In a sense she made me who I am." Upon running through the city gate he heard the train whistle blowing, the train was coming into the city. "Crap! It's here!" Running faster he eventually made it to the station. Being relieved that the train was there he slowed down to catch his breath. He hobbled over to the ticket booth, out of breath he talked to the person behind the window. "Uhm...Tw-...Er...There should be something for me. My name is Reno...Anything?" "Hold on..." The guy behind the window searched through some files. Looking back up he spoke. "Ah, yes, there is something here." He slid an envelope out of the hole and Reno took it, opened it and found a note. "What?! She didn't buy me a ticket?! Man..." Reno took out his wallet and bought a ticket before getting onto the train. Passing a couple as he went inside, who were wearing DWMA insignias. "Those two are from the academy...I bett- Who's that girl with him? No. Shut up, Reno. Focus. Avoid them." He boarded and sat in an empty booth near the back.
-
"She's so good to you, isn't she?" Rigor said bitterly after sitting on the train. "At least she got you a ticket when she barked orders at us, amirite?" Her tone seemed almost rhythmically happy to the point of satire. She was obviously still not pleased that Reno had defended the witch despite horrible treatment. "I still think you only listen to her because she has a pair of boobs." Rigor saw the two through Reno, and wondered what they could be doing. "I still say we shouldn't do anything for that bitch."
-
Daamon and Kaiya arrived in Gusto at sunset and headed straight for the town hall. There, they met with the mayor, an exceptionally large pig who had a lot of chins, not knowing where it starts. Daamon and Kaiya stood there, waiting for him to get off the phone. Like usual, Kaiya did all the talking, "So I wanted to make sure that you are still going to pay the amount that you originally told us." The pig snorted his answer while he pulled out a pen, "Ok, but do you accept checks?" Daamon, leaning against the doorway, arms crossed, and head down, turned to the pig and gave him a death glare that made even the hairs on the back of Kaiya's neck stand up. "We've had issues with that before, and the price of a bounced check doubles what you owe us and he'll torture you. Trust me, last guy who gave us a bounced check was kept awake and alive for 15 days, enduring slow, painful skin removal and nails being pulled and much more. Lych's ability to torture is unparalleled. I suggest cash be done. We'll be back no later than sunup."
-
Jefty had gotten two tickets using the betting money from today's duel, and was waiting for the train to arrive. As it arrived he waited for everyone to get in before he walked in at the last reasonable moment and also went straight to the back. Emily slid off his shoulders as they took a booth right next to a rabbit and some other reptile that seemed to escape Jefty's list of species names. "Why are we not sitting first class?!" Jefty laid his body along the cusions on his side of the booth and looked up at the empty nettings and cubbords. "Two good reasons: we need money for food and water, and we're still considered unsupervised minors in terms of commuting." "The second reason doesn't make sense... in terms of commuting?" "Do you honestly think we're dressed for a formal affair, or even for a semi-formal dinner?!" "Are you insulting my taste in clothes, dragon?!" "No, the railroad buisness is..."
-
As Rigor was messing with him Reno noticed the pair from the academy sit on the other side of the train. Which made him turn his attention to Rigor. "I don't know...What else would we do? I mean...Who else would take us? I would think other-...Ya know...Would rather kill us than take us in. But then again...We don't really have to work with anyone...We can just wander around...Doing what we do." he said unenthusiastically. He avoided saying anything that would give them away, since they were sitting across from their enemy who could have been listening.
Soon the train pulled off from the station and started it's journey to Gusto. However, it was still a couple hours away.
-
"Well, we could do that." She looked somewhat grumpy as she sat there, looking around aimlessly. Or we could side with that other witch and pin her against ours. Then watch and get all the souls we want, she thought to herself. "I hate trains." she murmured, fidgeting at this point, looking out the window, doing all but sitting still. Finally she settled and looked at the two students again. That girl is a brat. I already hate her, I hope I don't have to hear her mouth the whole ride. Her eyes narrowed to slits, and she looked as if she were thinking about eating them, then she turned back to the window watching blurred figures pass as the train chugged on its way.
-
Daamon and Kaiya went to search the whole metropolitan area. It was huge, the largest city they were ever hired for. Daamon was rather impatient, as always and nearly twitched with every step, "Do you have any leads yet, Kaiya? A place like this has to be swarming with demons that we can get to tell us where the witch is." Kaiya sighed, "Oh, shut up. A place this big makes it a lot harder to track them. Their scent is all over the place and mixed in with the normal folk. And from what everyone tells me, there's no isolated area where everything's happening. It's everywhere."
-
Jefty looked at the couple that he and Emily were sitting across from, and his right hand tightened into a fist as he stared at the dragon-like reptile that was staring out the window. I have a job that I have to do, but I can't shake that feeling of hostility. What am I getting so tense over?! He was so focused on the reptile that he was surprised at feeling Emily's head on his shoulder. The hostility melted away as he turned to her and pulled her closer as she quickly went to sleep. At least I still have her...
-
As Reno sat there resting his head on his paw he looked over to the two across from them, seeing the girl rest her head on the guy. A small smirk drifted onto his face. He then looked over to Rigor for a moment then back to the two somewhat jealous. "Like that would ever happen to me. Rigor would destroy me...And any other person I'd try to get close to." he thought, letting out a sigh. The thought crossed his mind to lean on Rigor but the last time he tried something like that he was squeezed until he passed out. Instead he sat there, trying to get some sleep until the train would finally get to it's destination.
-
If Rigor could have gotten up to pace, she surely would have done it at this point in time. She was feeling somewhat stir crazy sitting on the train as it ventured onward. Looking out the windows made her restless. "How far away is this place?" Rigor questioned, nudging Reno to get him to respond as he was starting to fall asleep. This time she looked more aggravated than generally grumpy.
-
Daamon growled in frustration as they spent a whole hour searching with no success. However, it was now around 8pm, and some places were already closing down, and people were a bit more scarce. Kaiya was getting frustrated with Daamon's attitude and pointed at a bistro that was still open, "Look, that looks like a decent restaurant. I know it won't be much, but you're not as impatient when you've eaten. Come on, before the crowds get in. I can hear the last inbound train." The track ran parallel with where they were walking, and the station was further away than the bistro. However, Kaiya's eye caught the sight of two particular passengers, but then she decided to wave it off. No, that can't be. It'd be one hell of a coincidence to see those two again, not 2 jobs in a row...
-
Jefty glanced at the window, and noticed the subtle feeling of a vehicle slowing down. He ruffled Emily's hair and she automatically bit his hand before waking up. "Why did you have to mess with my fur, it takes an hour to get it just right!" She had taken her jaws off his hand to say this, and Jefty stood up and put his hand on the handle for the booth door. "We're about to get off, so I ruffled up your hair before the wind could." Her reply was a sigh as she looked at her nails, occasionally turning them into metal blades to practice partial transformation.
-
"Hmm? Uhm...How am I supposed to know." Reno said in response to Rigor nudging him. The rest of the ride was silent for the couple hours it took for the train to arrive. Reno didn't get any planned sleep due to an unnamed grumpy lizard. When the train finally screeched to a stop they got off the train, Reno stretched a bit in the fresh air. "So what are we going to do? I mean...Yeah we have to find the witch...But after that?" he asked as he began to leave the station. The city had an older look to it, with it's cobblestone roads and Gothic architecture. He turned right down the road in front of him, which unknown to him was the direction of the bistro in which Daamon and Kaiya were heading to. "Come to think of it, weren't those one guys a fox and wolf team? The ones we saw at the mansion. Think they could be who we're after?"
-
"I think we ought to beat them up since we owe them one." Rigor growled disapprovingly. "As for the other witch, I think we ought to use her to kill ours. Then we don't have to answer to anyone, and hey, free soul to boot." Rigor receded back into Reno as they were out of view to where she seemed as if she was looming over him from his back. "Should I go behind you, in weapon form? I mean, what the hell should I be doing around here?" she asked Reno.
-
Daamon ate in anger, but calmed down a bit as he ingested more food. Kaiya cut her meat up and ate civilized for once, "There, now. Don't you feel a lot better?" Daamon grumbled as he ate, "You want me to cheer up, give me someone to kill." Kaiya sighed and shook her head, "You really need to calm the (censored) down." Just then, Kaiya's eyes caught sight of Reno outside the glass doors. "Well, it seems that you might get that chance, after all."
-
When Jefty and Emily got off the train, Jefty surveyed the area for any immedeat sign of the rogues. He caught sight of a couple of equally peculiar size and contrast to him and Emily, and pulled out a pair of photos from his pants pocket. The tiger that 'attacked' them had the photos delivered while Emily was still in the clinic, and they showed the mugs of the supposed rogue Meister and Weapon. "Emily... get ready for a fight." He leaned to whisper that into her ear before slowly approaching the two...
-
"I guess we could do that...But we have to find her first." he said walking towards the doors of the bistro."Uhm...Just...I don't know...I was going to try something..." he continued, stopping outside the doors of the bistro. He pushed them open and walked inside standing a bit in front of the doorway. Looking around he only saw those two in the dining room area. "That makes this a little easier..." Reno walked towards the two where they sat slowly. He nervously avoided looking at the woman knowing it would ruin the moment. "Uhm...Hate to interrupt your meal like this...But we need to find your witch." He stopped a few tables from them, his head and arms dangling infront of himself. "Concentrate...On...Not concentrating...Lose yourself...Let...The madness take over..." A silence ensued, before long Reno's head looked up sharply at Daamon and Kaiya. He chuckled and put on a goofy grin. "We won't be taking no for an answer now either." he said extending his right hand to the side. He had Rigor transform and after licking his lips Reno darted towards the two into an over head swing at Kaiya.
-
Rigor wiggled with excitement in his hand, "Now this is what I'm talking about." She seemed almost giddy to be in action again, even more giddy to be getting at the two that had made fun of the both them at their previous engagement. "Let's slice and dice 'em."
-
Kaiya smirked, "We don't have a witch, but we are going to go kill one." When Reno came in with an attack, Daamon picked up the table and threw it in Reno's path. Even if Reno does destroy it, it'll slow down the kid's momentum. Kaiya, taking the moment in, transformed into her sword form into Daamon's hand. When the table shattered, Daamon swung Kaiya and a grisly smile appeared on his face, It's been quite a while since I fought another rogue. It may not be Max and Lira, but I guess the kid's got to have something if he's a rogue.
-
Jefty continued to make his way over until the two from earlier appeared and already started attacking. He was able to keep calm however, since it was Emily that was getting riled up. "Those two just stole our target!!" she said quietly but with much emotion. "I heard something like:'The third dog will get the meal', so I figure we should wait for the fight to end and finish off the last one. But if it gets too out of hand I guess we'll have to intervene..."
-
By the time Kaiya had said anything Reno was long since gone. He allowed his madness to overwhelm him so he could fight fully without letting his softer emotions hinder him. Mainly because he was fighting a woman. The last time he got like this rigor had to snap him out of it, which wasn't usually too hard to do. When the table came at him he smashed through it, slowing him down a small bit. He met Daamon's blade after smashing through the table. Due to the table he wasn't able to give the strike significant force that would have won the deadlock that ensued. However Reno pushed himself back and spun around into a strong swing using the momentum of the spin.
-
"Hmph..." Daamon wasn't affected by Reno's show of strength and leaped up, landing on top of Rigor as Reno swung her, using his momentum. As he did, Kaiya transformed back to her old self and heel-dropped on Reno's head, while Daamon's weight pushed Rigor and Reno's arms to the ground. "Not bad, kid." He then jumped off of Rigor and put some distance between them.
-
Reno felt the kick, but merely moved his head down from the force of it. He chuckled at the pain and when Daamon jumped away from them he pursued. Charging at him Reno slid across a table top, hooking a wooden chair on his foot and flinging it as he slid off the table at Daamon and followed behind the chair into a horizontal swing hoping to catch him off guard.
-
Daamon merely smirked and chuckled to himself. Amateur. Daamon gripped the chains on his pants and backhanded the chair, shattering it. At the same time, the chains created a barrier that stopped even Rigor from making contact. In the split second of the contact, Kaiya used that moment and came in, hitting Reno from the side and knocking him across the room through several tables. She landed cleanly on her feet before hitting the ground and stood next to Daamon. "You have to remember that a Meister always has a partner, kid. They may be weapons, but they may not always be so. The two you're looking for definitely fight as both two and one, like we do. However, they'll be a lot easier than us. They never were the best, but they'd kill you in a matter of seconds if you fight them like you're trying to fight us."
-
Reno clambered out of the pile of debris that was several tables and stood up. He couldn't hear what Kaiya had said due to his altered state. With a chuckle and grin he brought Rigor up. "Soul resonance. Post Mortem Cleave." he said without any tone. The axe began to glow, the debris and other stuff around shook and blew around. The axe grew larger and looked more menacing than usual, the handle extended a bit and Reno took it in both hands. He then charged at the pair, swinging wide at them in a horizontal blow again. The attack stretched to the walls of the building, cutting through the bricks it was made of like a knife through butter. The attack would be impossible to block and just as hard to dodge due to the enclosed area.
-
Rigor began to cackle at the soul resonance, enjoying the power as her body grew larger and more menacing, she was practically beaming when Reno took the horizontal swipe at the two. When he reared back, she couldn't help but taunt with a "Step on me, will you?"
-
Daamon wasn't fazed by the display of their Soul Resonance as Kaiya transformed back into a sword into his hand, Soul Resonance: Shadow Slash. A shadow came from behind Daamon as he charged in to meet Reno. The shadow then enveloped them both, the sound of metal clashing was all that could be heard. Not even the sparks could be seen by anyone. When the shadow cleared, both combatants were still standing, the first time that ever happened when Daamon used his Soul Resonance. The two had their backs to each other, when a 1-inch gash opened up on his hip. Daamon merely scoffed as he gripped it, Kaiya scolding him quietly, "How could you let that little kid hit you?" "There's something about him. He has the potential to be stronger than Max and Lira. It'd be a shame to kill him now, but those shallow cuts should be enough to give him an idea of what he's dealing with."
-
After the clash of the two a silence ensued. Before long the building began to rumble and pieces of the ceiling began to fall. Reno had several marks on him, only in a couple spots was he bleeding. The black blood in him clotted his blood quickly to prevent almost any loss of blood. But the number of cuts was great so he still had blood on him that had dripped down from his wounds. However, he was still in his madness induced state and still wanted to fight. Even though the building was coming down around him. Rigor would have to snap him out of it like she did once before. A chunk of the building fell in front of Reno as he began to run towards the two again. It stopped him from doing so, making him jumped back to avoid being crushed.
-
Rigor transformed from the weapon to looming over him. "Alright nimrod, it's time to pack up, this place is about to come down!" She growled digging her claws into his shoulders. She knew it wouldn't really do her any good doing that, so she slobbered on him and reared back, reaching into what looked like the back of his head. "C'mon now, take it!" In Reno's mind, Reno was caught in the madness like a raging ocean, and he'd have to take her hand to get out of it. "Grab it, damnit. We can't wait around all day!" Her eyes shot to the other two, giving them a stern look. She knew they had sustained injuries as well, but she was waiting on them to try something in the state that Reno was in. She would not hesitate to fight them alone while she was trying to pull Reno out of the madness.
-
As the building was coming down, Daamon wasn't all too worried, nor was Kaiya. "He reminds you of your old self, doesn't he? Relying on a berserker state to fight and gain power. You want to see where he takes his journey, too, don't you?" Daamon let out a small smirk, "I guess you can say that. I need someone worthy to fight. As much as I enjoy this luxurious living, I do tire of daily routine. If this kid has the potential I feel from our battle, then it'll make it worth it, even if he's the one to kill me." The two exchanged their words soft enough that the rumbling of the collapsing restaurant covered all hint of their conversation. "But it looks like he's dying to fight some more. He's stuck in his berserker." Daamon sighed as his face returned to its original state, void of anything. He then turned and rushed towards Reno and Rigor, seeming to be a blur of black shadow. Daamon expected Rigor to be defensive, so he whipped around falling debris and got behind the two. He then removed the chains from his pants for the first time outside of changing to new pants, and they circled around Reno and Rigor, with himself on the outside. Daamon shouted through the loud noise as debris were destroyed and crumbled safely away from the two, "This is a holy embued chain. Give it to the little one when he comes to. It is indestructible and protects its user for a short period of time. There's a wait time of 5 minutes after each use, so be sparing. We'll meet again soon enough." In anyone's point of view, Daamon's figure was seemed to be crushed by a large, falling piece of ceiling. However, Daamon merely had dashed out, weaving through continually falling debris, running his hardest to remain just a faint blur. Once outside, Daamon and Kaiya stood over the roof of one of the single-story buildings nearby. "So should I tell the mayor to cancel?" Daamon shook his head, "No. I'll still take on Lira and Max if they are the rumored guards, but we will leave the witch to those two. We'll watch the fight and just take the witch's artifact." Kaiya poked at Daamon's face with a very instigating look on her face, "Or are you worried about him?" Daamon scoffed and began looking around on where they haven't searched yet, "I can give less of a damn about that kid."
-
Reno was floating around in his ocean of madness, being thrashed about in the raging currents and waves. That's when he saw Rigor's claw reach through the sky somehow. Grabbing it he was pulled out of the black water and into the light. That's when he snapped back to reality and looked at the crumbling building around him. "Woah, what happened? Did we win?" He then examined some chains that fell limp in his extended paw. "What are these from?" Looking around he felt he should not discuss things here. To reassure him of that he moved away from a bit of falling debris. "Uhm...Let's get going!" After that Reno bolted out of the bistro as it collapsed. Outside he saw the couple from the train, as well as a crowd of other people and police officers. Reno didn't stop for them and just kept running, figuring he was up to no good the police chased him. "I didn't do nothin'! It was those two!" he said pointing the Jefty and Emily. "They're terrorists!" The police were too busy chasing Reno to care what he was saying, but the citizens however moved closer to the two. You could hear their angered responses. "Hey that was my favorite place to eat!" "We we're going on out for our anniversary here!" "I think I left my wallet inside!" It was too dark to see they were from the DWMA, and they probably wouldn't listen to them either due to their frustration and anger. Later on down the road Reno eventually lost the police. He rested in a dark alley catching his breath. "Phew...That was crazy...Thank you...Rigor..."
-
"No problem, bunny boy, but we're not out of the fire yet." She looked behind them to see the police following, "The chains are from the guy you were fighting. Something about they're holy and can protect you for a short amount of time. We'll worry about that later, for right now, we need to lose our tail." A grin was plastered across Rigor's face as her scales rippled and herself and Reno camouflaged, disappearing into what seemed like thin air.
-
Since a lot of people were going towards the commotion at the bistro, the smell the common-folk seemed to thin out, making it easier to find concentrations of demon scents. "Follow me, I'm on a trail." "No need to slow down, I already smell it, too." The two of them made haste and headed straight north, just past the mayor's office. "Who'd have thunk it? They were right under our noses the whole time, controlling the city."
-
Jefty watched the fight go on, then seemed a little annoyed with being called a terrorist before the crowed started to close in. He held Emily close and slowly started making his way through the crowd. One idiot actually tried to pull Emily by the hair away from Jefty, and he knocked him away with the back of his hand. "Touch her again, everyone dies..." he said aloud, and then picked up Emily before walking off from the parting crowd. "Another delay?" "Another delay, target is still here though..."
-
Reno looked at himself when he was made invisible, it tingled a bit. "I'll never get used to that..." he thought beginning to tiptoe out of the alleyway passed the police. He snickered as he made his way passed. The lead unit turned and asked what was so funny. Reno couldn't help but change his tone and respond. "Your toupee looks funny." and quickly leave. "I thought you said you liked it!" the officer said as Reno exited. He continued down the road, invisible and walking like he was invincible. "I'm glad I don't have to take my clothes off for this sort of thing." he chuckled. "Thanks for that too. Oh, did we find out where the witch is? We won that fight, right?" He would have examined himself to see his injuries but he was invisible.
-
Once she was sure they were away from view, she rippled her scales and Reno came back into view. "We didn't win, but we didn't lose, either, they shouldn't be pushing us around anymore, that's for sure." she muttered. "You need to heal up or hope that witch will take us in. I'm still not sure where she is, didn't our witch tell you where to go, Reno?" She crossed her arms, somewhat frustrated. "Otherwise I'm still not sure, we could be way off track. Can't you sense her or something?"
-
Daamon and Kaiya reached City Hall and the smell of blood was horrendously strong, "Looks like the witch caught on to what the mayor was doing. I hope she didn't kill him, or else we won't have any money for this." Daamon spotted the mayor just then, being dragged out to the small building behind City Hall. "Well, if we hurry, we might be able to yet." The pig of a mayor struggled as the six demons in full form struggled to carry him. Before any of them knew what was going on, Daamon came down with Kaiya, in sword form, and decapitated them from behind. Their bodies fell, dropping the mayor. "Get out of here quick, or else they'll come back for you. And we do need that money, after all."
-
"No...She didn't tell me." Reno said a bit defeated with his head hung low. "I can't sense her either...I'm not a sensory type...We'll just have to find the right fox and wolf team. Beat them, get the info and go confront the witch. That's probably when we should decide what we're going to do with her." he said as they continued their walk. He noticed he could see himself again, taking note of his wounds. "I think we should find a hotel room and order some pizza. I found a wallet in the diner, it's got a nice stack of cash in it." he said holding the wallet up examining it. He took out his wallet and began to transfer the money into it. "Do you eat normal food? Or do you just like...Eat strictly souls, small children and puppies?" he joked, intentionally trying to get a rise out of Rigor.
-
When Reno pulled out the wallet, Rigor patted him on the back over-enthusiastically, "Atta boy, Reno, I didn't know you had it in you!" She didn't much care to respond on how they were going to handle the witch, even though she was in disagreement. She somewhat wondered what was making Reno come around, she assumed it was his plunge into madness. "Well, if you don't have any puppies or children, I guess pizza will have to do." She ate more than just souls, though it wasn't really required. She was more or less enthusiastic that he was seemingly warping to her favor.
-
No sooner did the mayor scamper off, did more demons seem to come out of the little building. "Looks like a literal underground setup." There were a large number of demons coming out of the building. "Think you can take them on your own?" Kaiya's arms turned into blades as the demons rushed in. In a quick motion, she weaved into the oncoming crowd, slicing up demons as she swiped past them. Daamon cracked his knuckles, "I'm the Lych. You know for damned sure I can." When the first one came up that didn't get cut up, Daamon rushed it and threw a strong punch, breaking the demon's teeth and creating an almost clothesline effect, the demon's feet continuing to go forward and then up as its head stopped in mid-air. Without skipping a beat, Daamon followed through with the punch and rotated his body, elbowing the next demon in the chest with the other arm and came back to the next one, striking its neck, collapsing its throat.
-
Reno smirked a little at the comments Rigor had given him, even more so when she didn't bite him or something for that joke. They eventually made it to a hotel. It was large, looking like a castle actually from the architecture. He walked inside and up to the counter, he got a room and had some pizza to be delivered to his room. It was a half hour wait for the pizza so Reno went to check out his room. He took and elevator to the third floor, he took a left not too sure on which way to go. Luckily he found his room on his first try. He went inside and looked around as he closed and locked the door behind him. It was a fairly fancy room, there was a couch and big screen TV in the front room where they walked in. To his right was another room, which he saw contained a king size bed after poking his head in. Continuing his look around he saw a couple nightstands next to the bed, a dresser on the far wall, window over looking the parking lot and another smaller TV suspended from the ceiling in the corner. He left the bedroom and wandered across the room and found the bathroom, the first thing he noticed was the large tub. "Woah! You could swim in that thing!" he exclaimed, surprised at it's size. There was a sink and toilet in the room he noticed as he left. He went back into the front room, noticing a bar, behind it a stove and fridge and other kitchen utensils. "This place has everything!" he said, making his way to the couch. He plopped down on it and reached for the remote. "We should use this as like...A base of operations until we can find our witch." he said, turning the TV on. It was on the news, there was a report talking about the bistro and how the criminals who caused the damage were still at large. However there wasn't any good descriptions of Reno and Rigor, one of the witnesses' statements that caught Reno's eye was that the pair who caused the damage was a squirrel and godzilla. "I didn't think you looked that bad, Rigor." Reno said sincerely, joking a little.
-
"Godzilla's a compliment as far as I'm concerned." She pulled back outward, her full body revealing itself. She plopped on the other side of the couch, crossing her feet on Reno's lap. "I don't know what a squirrel says about you, though, if I can get every asian within a ten mile radius running and fearing for their lives." She chuckled. "This place seems good. Makes going rogue seem like something that could be doable. The only reason why we need that witch's help anyway is for her soul." Rigor's mouth watered, and she began to drool, noticeably, her tongue moving excitedly out of her mouth and wrapping around her nose horn.
-
Daamon and Kaiya stood over the bodies of the demons that were on the verge of death. The rest of the demons disappeared slowly into dust as their souls floated above their quickly decomposing corpses. When Kaiya saw that there were no more coming at the moment, she swept by the souls and consumed them as she grabbed them. When she had eaten them all, she transformed her arm and killed off each of the dying, eating their souls as she killed each of them. Not too long after, one of the walls broke open, revealing another couple, but the two people that Daamon and Kiaya had been expecting. "Max and Lira, the two biggest wannabes that DWMA has ever had to offer."
-
Reno chuckled slightly at the comment of going rogue. "I think I'm going to shower after we eat. If nothing happens I think I might go shopping for a change of clothes since I couldn't pack before we left." he said examining his clothing, they were dirty, not to mention cut up from Daamon and Kaiya's attack. "I could use a new pair, I guess that fight got the best of me." Reno then stretched out his arms to lay on the back of the couch, not thinking anything of having one behind Rigor as she sat there. Not too much longer a knock came on the door. "Room service!" sounded a female voice from outside the door. "Come in!" said Reno loudly. "I bet she has a key." No sooner did Reno think it the door opened and a female feline entered wheeling in a cart. "The door was locked, so I used a key." "Swish." "That's fine." said Reno standing up, looking at the food. He was so hungry he almost forgot he was talking to a female. That's when he noticed her features. She was a gray and white furred tabby looking to be in her mid 20's, wearing similar clothing to his own. Black dressy pants, white long sleeve button up shirt and a red tie with a company logo on it. She was of an average size, though more on the skinny side. She also had noticeably sized breasts. He practically feinted at the sight, he enjoyed formal wear, even more so on females. It was something he was in to. "I-...Uhm...Hi..." he said shyly. She giggled at Reno in response. "Well hello, sir. We got your pizza, three large meat supremes, with extra meat." "I-...Uhm...Thank you, miss..." he said, again nervously. "How are you?" he continued. "I'm fine, thanks for asking. Is there anything I can get you?" Reno couldn't form anymore words, rather he just stood there gawking at her like a dopey idiot.
-
"We're lost, arn't we?" "No, we are not!" "Then why have we not found them yet?" "I'm looking around for any blood or dead bodies with cutting wounds." "Okay, until then, we're lost." "Ugh, yes Mistress, we are lost. Not like you have a better idea on how to find them." this bickering was not rare, but it was usually not over something as trivial as definition for the word 'lost'.
-
When the room service lady made herself apparent, Rigor stayed on the couch, only getting up when she realized she had to so Reno could get the food. Her drooling had stopped momentarily, and her tongue snaked back inside of her mouth as her whole demeanor changed when the girl entered the room. She didn't like the girl, she could already tell Reno was going to be shy and flirty since she had sizable breasts. When she asked if she needed anything else, Rigor couldn't help but interject herself and flatly push Reno back by his face as she stepped forward. "Yeah, you can get us a 'do not disturb' sign and hang it up on your way out." Her tone came off as being rather hostile to the cat, and it was enough to at least unease the tabby enough to creep toward the door.
-
Max stood pretty short next to Lira, being such a small, orange fox. Lira stood almost as high as Daamon, being more slim of a white wolf. Max and Lira didn't even bother to make small talk and they attacked. Max transformed into a large claymore, landing into Lira's hand. Lira brought the large weapon down onto Daamon. Kaiya jumped into the way, transforming into her weapon form in Daamon's hands, blocking the attack. "Pretty low that you would take the hire of a witch, when you can earn more money killing them." "It's not always about the money, Daamon. It's about who you know and what you do." Daamon swung hard and pushed Lira back. She landed on all fours, Max reverting to himself and landing lightly on her back. Daamon then threw Kaiya at them as he rushed forward. Max jumped up to dodge, Kaiya reverting to herself and pushing off the ground to attack from behind. Lira quickly turned and blocked Kaiya's blade arm with her plated forearm guard. Daamon came up behind and jumped for a kick. Max, while in midair, transformed his arm into a blade and ran it into the ground, blocking Daamon's attack.
-
Reno managed to keep on his feet having been pushed back by his face. When he heard Rigor's request he got a bloody nose. The first thing that shot through his mind was the reason people would get such signs; couples who wanted to be left alone while they...Got close. The tabby backed up slowly towards the door, giving a nervous chuckle as she went. "U-Uhm...Sure thing. I'll uhm...Get right on that. I will make sure no one interrupts what ever it is you two do in here. Aheh....Bye!" she said, exiting the room. "W-...A-....Uhm...A do not disturb sign, Rigor?" Reno asked, wiping the blood from his nose. He walked up beside her, standing next to the cart that had the pizza on it. "What do we plan on doing in here?"
-
"Getting big boobed kitty cats to leave us the hell alone." Rigor grumbled, taking a large slice of pizza and downing it, without hardly chewing. "Not to mention if this is going to be our base of operations, we don't need people snooping in here, you dolt. The last thing we need is that little kitty you were drooling over to get in the way of what we have to do. If you were to get involved, there's no telling what information a soft head like you would divulge. All she'd have to do is bounce her boobs on your face a couple of good times." Rigor's mood seemed to be spiraling downward, but the pizza was making up for it. "Do you have any idea where we should look for this witch? Like at all...? Is there any way of getting in touch with our witch?"
-
The two partners broke off from each other, Daamon and Kaiya on the outside with Max and Lira in the middle. "Word has it that a couple of rogues were hired by a witch to kill our client. Seeing you two here, you're a bit hypocritical, no?" Kaiya stood up straight and fixed her hair, "You must be more retarded since leaving DWMA. We were hired by the city, not some dumbass witch. I would eat one the second I see it, whether it's her soul, or her body included. The two you're referring to are lost somewhere in the city. We're just here to clean out the trash." Kaiya reverted her arm and pulled out a satchel that she had on her belt and threw it at Max and Lira's feet, "Take it and leave, or don't leave. In which case, we will take the money back and kick your asses harder than we ever had, and leave you to the hospital bill on top of that." Lira picked up the satchel and looked inside, scoffing as she tossed it back, "You can take back your horse shit bribe. We've gotten a league stronger since you last fought us." Kaiya sighed as she put the money back on her belt, "Fine. Daamon, let's end this." The two of the ran in quick blur-like circles around Max and Lira, a shadow building around them. Max quickly transformed into a claymore again into Lira's hand, Soul Resonance: Needle of Light Max glowed brightly as Lira wound up, needles seeming to protrude from them. The dark shadow closed in as the light reached its climax and burst. The mingle of darkness and light mingled in a large burst and caused a large explosion, rumbling the earth and creating a large cloud of dust. When the dust cleared, Kaiya and Daamon stood over Max and Lira's bodies, which were riddled with cuts and blood. "Amateurs will always be amateurs. You weren't the only ones who got stronger, idiots. We did, too, and it seems the gap's just gotten bigger." Lira let out a low growl as she groaned from the pain, "Why not kill us?" Kaiya scoffed as she grabbed Daamon's arm to walk away, "You were the only people who talked big and made the top 5 when were there together. Daamon's got a new pet, and he wants you to live to test him when the kid gets stronger. Until then, we'll send an ambulance to pick your sorry asses up." Kaiya picked up her cell and dialed the local services to pick up the two. As the ambulance made its way to hospitalize the couple, Daamon and Kaiya went back to the bistro to sniff out Reno and Rigor. Upon ending the trail at the hotel, Kaiya inquired about the two at the desk while Daamon waited impatiently outside. "I'm sorry, ma'am, but they do not wish to be disturbed." "Just make sure they get this message." Kaiya handed the receptionist a folded note, which the receptionist got a bellhop to drop off at the room. It read, "If you all couldn't feel that explosion on this side of town, the witch is hiding underneath the maintenance building behind City Hall."
-
Reno took one of the boxes of pizza and set it on the table in front of the couch. Sitting down he grabbed a slice. He ate the slice in silence, again he was disappointed with how Samantha had treated them and didn't want to say anything on the matter. Moments later an explosion sounded, which shook the room slightly. "What was that?" Reno asked, with a mouthful of pizza. He quickly chewed and swallowed and then looked around. "You heard that, right?" He didn't notice a note slip under the door however, being caught up with eating and the explosion.
-
Rigor had returned to her position with her legs across Reno, eating pizza with him out of the other box. When the place shook a little she continued eating her pizza, not really being effected by the sound or the shake. When Reno asked, she continued eating her pizza, eating a long string of cheese that stretched from one of the pizzas. "Yep, I heard it, but no, I don't care." She patted her belly, leaving half of her pizza in the box and yawning. "As far as I'm concerned, we've had enough action for today, and whatever it is can wait."
-
Daamon and Kaiya sat on the roof of the hotel to wait and check on Reno and Rigor to see when they would go and get the witch. Kaiya looked over at Daamon, who was more agitated than ever before. "Now what the hell is your problem?" "It's just the fact that I've let two opponents live today. First that kid, and now Max and Lira. If this keeps happening, I'm going to lose my touch." "Not exactly. Think about it this way. You're skill's transcended from a normal killer to one that can fully control the sword and kill at will, and cause as much damage as he wants to without effort. I think, if anything, it proves that you're stronger than ever." Daamon sighed in more disgruntleness, "Jeez, how long you been waiting to crack THAT cliche of a joke?"
-
Reno shrugged at Rigor's response, eating another slice. After his fourth slice he decided to call it quits. "Mmm...Good pizza. Anyway, It's getting late, I think I'm ready for my shower..." He gently moved her legs off of him and stood up. He figured she would start following or go back inside of him at this point so he began walking. On his way to the bathroom he began to unbutton his shirt, once in the bathroom he threw it at a towel rack on the wall. As he did that he kicked the door behind him closed. He then reached into the tub and turned on the shower, afterward he looked in the mirror by the sink. Reno didn't have a toothbrush with him so he couldn't brush his teeth as he normally did before a shower. Instead he took off the rest of his clothes and got into the shower. The cuts by now had already healed, Rigor's abilities natural or otherwise seemed to affect Reno. This time her ability to regenerate herself worked on him, though in a much smaller scale. He wasn't aware of the healing ability, however, considering he didn't know much about Rigor in the first place. He did enjoy being able to go invisible, it made him feel cool. After his awkward feeling shower he got out, toweled off and put his pants on. Normally he would just fall asleep in his towel, but with Rigor around he felt he should cover himself up a bit. "We can go get me some new clothes in the morning, then we can go find the witch..." he said heading out of the bathroom and into the bedroom. He plopped down on the bed, sprawling out on it still not able to reach the edges of it with it being so large. "Oh man...This bed is awesome!" He turned on a light on the nightstand, got up and turned off the room light and got back into bed. He didn't bother covering up, he was too hot at the moment and the room was a comfortable temperature. "Ah...Well...Night, Rigor." he said, turning off the lamp on the nightstand.
-
Rigor went back inside Reno as he prepared for his shower. She seemed to go into a dormant state as he did so, becoming lost in her own world until it was evident he was through. She eventually came back out as he laid on the bed, jamming him over to where he hardly had any room, her hind claws digging into his back, her feet pressing outward to keep space between them. "You're right, this bed is nice." She pushed further and further until he eventually fell off.
-
Daamon sighed, "That brat ain't gonna go for it, is he?" Kaiya shook her head, "Looks like it. Guess they really are using the traditional 'Do Not Disturb' sign after all. Still, kind of creepy. How anyone would find that disgusting axe girl attractive is beyond me. But the creepiest thing, I think, is the fact that the rabbit looked like he's quite a bit underage for something like THAT." Daamon thought a minute and pushed the mental image out of his head. "Well, let's set up a room. What was there's again? We'll set up next door and keep tabs. Max and Lira won't even be able to eat on their own for at least a week, anyways."
-
Reno was just about to fall asleep when Rigor had kicked him off the bed. He didn't even mind her claws being dug into his back, it didn't hinder his sleep any. He stood back up and glared at her as she laid there. Part of him wanted to just jump on her and do something she wouldn't expect, the other part of him just wanted to let her have the bed and be a gentleman. But he really wanted the bed..."Rigor...Are you ticklish?" he said with a devious grin. What he was about to end up doing would probably end with him in pain, but he felt it didn't matter. That's when he pounced on her and began to try and tickle her ribs. His plan was to just annoy her, however, it would probably turn into a wrestling match.
-
Rigor's eyes popped open when he asked if she was ticklish. And in all honesty, she wasn't, so she sat there for a few moments with Reno tickling her to no avail until she grew tired of it. Then she pulled in her foot and pushed it on his face with it, knocking him off the bed again. She returned to her comfortable position on the bed laying in her side so that Reno could lay in the floor, grumbling, "Now go to sleep."
-
Reno laid on the floor for a few moments after being shoved off. He felt like giving up, he probably should but he wanted to try one last thing before he just slept on the floor. Slowly he crawled up, his arms seeming to hold him up on the side of the bed. He wasn't all the way on the bed, kinda peeking over it with his chin rested on it. "Rigor...Why do you do this to me? You know...I...Love you." At this point he was shining puppy dog eyes, seeming on the verge of tears. "Just...So much. I can't hide it anymore. Couples lay in the same bed, so why must I be kicked to the floor?" he continued, pouting at the end. His eyes gleamed, like those big anime eyes as he looked at her, with her back facing him. Reno slowly crept onto the bed and put his body to hers tenderly. His plan was to annoy her, or at the very least prevent her from sleeping like she did to him. All he could do now at this point was hope and wait.
-
Rigor rolled over, grabbing the pillow and jabbing it into Reno's face hard enough to knock him away from her. "I love sleep so much I can't hide it," she growled. "Just because your stupid witch doesn't know how to take care of you doesn't mean you can go all puppy eyes on me and think that I'll care. I got stuck with you because of her, and if it were up to me, I'd snap her neck like a twig before she could even cast a spell, or at the very least see if we can get separated." Rigor was thoroughly irritated with him trying to cuddle with her. She didn't like affection, or at least not that kind. She curled up in a ball on the opposite side of the bed pitting a pillow between them, her tail lying under it, "If you're gonna cry about it get on the bed, but stay away from me or I'll knock your ass off again." She seemed to be curled up tightly in her small ball, hugging the pillow partially under her shoulder under her head and partially in her claws, her knees almost under her chin. She wasn't as relaxed anymore.
-
Reno took the pillow and laid on the bed to fall asleep. He was happy at the fact he got to sleep in the bed, but he felt like he lost some of his dignity. He fell asleep quickly. Morning came around before he knew it. He was sleeping in however, it was a long time since he had actually gotten to sleep in a bed. Normally he'd sleep on the floor due to Rigor being a bed hog. Rigor would probably have to be the one to wake him to get going, though not like she would have any lack of ideas.
-
Eventually, she fell asleep. She usually didn't sleep, but she was somewhat tired and feeling lazy from eating the pizza. When she woke, she sat up, seeing that Reno was still sleeping. She looked over to the cart where the pizza boxes still were, her stomach rumbling at the thought of its stuffed crust. Eating was also something she didn't have to do, but her stomach craved more pizza because she knew it was there, rather than actually being hungry. Human food for her was a guilty pleasure for her since it wasn't necessary. The dragon chameleon looked back to Reno, resentful that they weren't separated because she'd have to wake him up to get to the pizza, which, in her book was more trouble than it was worth. A scowl plastered her features, irritated that there was no instant gratification for her situation.
Carefully, she leaned over him, inspecting him as he slept, merely a couple of inches from his face. He looked peaceful for once in his life. Again, she wished that she was separated from him or that she was one of the demons that had been gifted with telekinesis. She wanted to wake him up as rudely as possible, and she chuckled at the thought of putting shaving cream on his hand and bothering his whiskers as he slept to make him rub it all over his face. She pushed up on of his lips with her claw, pulling it back in case he would wake, but to her luck, he hadn't. He just turned his head uneasily and rubbed at his face.
Quickly, she started to shout and bounce on the bed, "HOLY CRAP, RENO, THE HOTEL IN ON FIRE, WAKE UP!"
-
Daamon awoke before dawn and started some morning exercises. Kaiya awoke not too much longer after that, but she didn't really wake up until she heard the commotion next door with Rigor waking Reno up by saying that the hotel was on fire. "Those kid sound like they've been married for several years." "Yea, that girl sounds like she really hates him."
-
Reno woke up to screaming of the hotel being on fire. He jumped out of bed and onto the floor, crawling under the nearest surface. Unfortunately it looked like he got the wrong message, acting as if the ceiling was going to collapse from an earthquake. After about a minute he crawled out from under the bed an looked at Rigor who was standing there. "...There's no earthquake..." He stood up an brushed himself off, wiping a bit of drool from his face. "You suck..." he continued to mumble, he was still waking up a little. He went out of the room to go reheat some pizza. As he walked he saw a note under the door. He went to go grab it. After picking it up Reno went over to the pizza and grabbed a few slices to throw in the microwave. Slowly he opened the note up and began reading it. "...I think we found our first lead."
-
"Well, that's good. But I'm hungry," she said looking to the microwave longingly. "Hurry up with your pizza so I can make mine." Rigor absorbed herself into Reno until she was hunched over him, half of her torso coming out from Reno's back. She didn't feel like having to scurry around or keep up with him walking, and it was more comfortable this way that way they wouldn't be tripping over one another. "Are we going shopping before we bother or is this a time sensitive offer?"
-
Daamon got into the shower as Kaiya had just gotten out. "So I'm guessing the kid's decided to take action?" Daamon sighed as he let out a low growl, "He's gonna delay it a bit with food. I swear, with this kid's attitude, he should be dead by all accounts. Laid back attitude never gets the job done on time and results in little to no pay." Kaiya shook her head, "Count on you to always be the bum run. You know you like to take your sweet little time when it comes to missions, too. Though, to you, that's a minute. Still..."
-
"I don't think the with will be going anywhere anytime soon. She won't mind I'm sure. We will go shopping quickly and then go to city hall and deal with her." Reno said, taking his pizza out of the microwave. "So do we have a plan or are we just going to wing it?" the thought of winging it made him sigh. He enjoyed having a plan of some sort before doing something so dangerous. "I wish I was better supplied...Sometimes I detest Samantha...She is...Useless at times." Once done moping at how he was treated he began to eat his pizza. "We'll leave when you're ready."
-
Rigor threw her pizza in the microwave as soon as Reno removed his. She pressed her face against the microwave, momentarily entertained by the cheese bubbling on the pizza. "I don't have a plan, do you have a plan? I mean, I'm still thinking we ought to pin her against Samantha and reap the benefits. I mean, geeze, at least she might be more useful than her." Her brows furrowed as she watched the pizza rotate around until the microwave dinged, the thought of Samantha making her temper rise. She opened the door, taking out the pizza and eating it slowly in order to enjoy the flavor. "I mean what's so special about Samantha, what has she ever done for you?"
-
Reno and Rigor's conversation had gotten to the point where even Kaiya started rolling her eyes, like Daamon usually does. Now I see what he means. But then again, these kids are thinking about joining forces with this witch. In which case, I hope we don't have to kill them. Daamon might be forced to disable these guys, too. But with a witch at their side, he might have no choice but to kill them. Everything started going through Kaiya's head until a realization came and she face pawed. Oh yea, we'll be in the shadows watching. Coup de tah, end of story.
-
"I don't know...She kinda created us...Good or bad as it is." Reno said as he ate. He was standing there eating while she got her food. "As for a plan, I'm not sure. I don't have the proper intel to make one. We'll probably have to wing it, considering I don't have proper supplies either. As much as I don't like to wing it..." "I wonder what surprises will be in store for us when we get there..." Reno flashed back to when they were leaving yesterday, Samantha telling them something. She didn't tell them something to spoil a surprise. As much as he formulated, a witch could be capable of anything.
-
"I didn't come from her." Rigor said through bites. "You didn't come from her. The only thing she did was stick us together, and she sure as hell isn't making me into a kishin like she agreed. So as far as I'm concerned anything that happens to her is fair at this point. I'll never understand why you protect her, even after she stuck you with me, and we all know that wasn't anything beneficial for either of us. Not to mention how she treats you. All I do is stay away from the bitch." Rigor finished up her pizza, downing the last couple of slices in a hurried fashion since she was now starting to get impatient with just laying around since there was something at stake now. "And of course we have to wing it. We know nothing except a location."
-
Kaiya continued to listen in and thought for a second before walking over to the little night stand next to the bed and wrote on the little notepad that's next to the lamp and phone. On it, she wrote, "The witch's guards are no more, so you will have no problem getting to it. However, be advised that if you don't kill it, someone else will." Kaiya folded the note neatly and poked her head into the bathroom. "I'm gonna head downstairs and get some soda. Meet me in the back of the lobby, I'll be in the game room so that I don't get spotted." When she left the room, she slid the note under the door and disappeared down the staircase.
-
Reno didn't say anything, instead he went back into the bathroom to get his shirt and tie. After getting dressed the rest of the way he went to the door. "Alright, I guess we can go now." As he made it to the door a note slipped under it. He picked it up and read it. "Lots goin' on with this witch. I wonder what makes her so popular." He opened the door and left, leaving the note behind. He looked around to see if he could spot the person who left it but didn't see anything. Shrugging Reno went downstairs and left the lobby. He went off in a random direction since he didn't know where he was going anyway. After awhile of walking he came to a store. He started to look around for a replacement set of clothes, soon he found it. He grabbed a shirt and found a pair of pants to go with it. He purchased the clothes an went into the dressing room to get changed. After changing he left the store and stood on the sidewalk looking around. "Now we need to find City Hall..."
-
Rigor had retreated inside of Reno to keep suspicion from arising, "What is with these notes? We ought to keep an eye out, if someone's giving us leads, someone has to be following us. I mean, how smart is it to take something from a stranger? What if it's a trap?" She was speaking mentally with Reno. "They have to be watching us to begin with since they knew what room we were in. If we go, we ought to cloak while we're snooping. That sounds like a plan enough."
-
Daamon finished his shower and went downstairs, avoiding Reno and Rigor's sight as he made his way to the game room and met up with Kaiya, who was sitting in the driver's seat in the Initial D racing game. "They're probably headed for shopping still, huh?" Daamon nodded, "Yes, and that's what bothers me so much. As a rogue, he's still wanted by DWMA. That kid is so careless, I'm starting to wonder if I should just kill him now and get it over with."
-
"That works, now we just have to find the place..." Reno thought to Rigor. Just then someone tapped him on the shoulder from behind. Reno turned to see a police officer. "Looking for city hall, kids?" he asked. "Uhm...Yeah actually..." replied Reno a tad nervous. He was curious as to how he knew, figuring something was off. "It's just down this road behind me. If you take a left at the end of the street, go to the end of that one, which is a dead end, go through the alley on your right and directly on the other side of it is city hall." said the officer. "Thanks..." Reno said cautiously. He then walked passed him down the road. Continuing on passed the random bystanders walking passed him. Then it hit him. "He said "kids"...Plural...I was alone..." he said softly then turned around. To his surprise, no one was there. Not the officer, or any other person that was there a second ago. Reno then turned back around, this time the people in front of him were gone. "That is just creepy...Be ready for anything, Rigor. I'm getting a bad feeling." he said, continuing to walk. He rounded the corner going left and eventually made it to the alleyway, still not seeing anyone. "Here goes..." he said before walking into the alley. He went cautiously, however he made it to the other side to his surprise with no incident. Just like the police officer had said, there was city hall, right across the street. Reno crossed the street and entered the building. As he opened the glass door he felt a breeze rush passed him going inside. He played it off as the wind. When the doors closed he heard a click on them, he also spotted a security guard at the desk in front of him. "No weapons, food, drink, cellphones beyond this point." "Did you lock the doors?" "Yes, it's for your security." Reno turned to look at the doors as the guard continued speaking. "They are made of a reinforced glass, it's magically enhanced by her. Nothing short of a nuke would penetrate it. All the glass is like that." Reno turned back around, hearing the guard speak like that, only to see that he was gone. "Her? Did he mean the witch? Could that have been a demon?"
-
"Reno, I don't like this." Rigor growled. "You should have let us cloak before we came in here. Now we're locked in here and they can do whatever they want with us unless we pull some unclaimed charisma out of our ass. We don't even know if we're gonna kill her or if we're gonna team up with her because we never decided." She was still speaking internally to Reno as he stood there. "I mean, I'm all for getting ready to hurt someone, but this is a trap. Has to be since we followed the leads like a lost dog looking for food. This was a bad idea." Rigor was starting to grow impatient. She wished whatever trap they were in would spring so they could react. Anticipation always made her antsy.
-
Daamon and Kaiya trailed Reno and Rigor as they tried to find their way to City Hall. When they disappeared into the alleyway, the two of them went over and across to the devastated building not too far further where the fight with Max and Lira took place, just behind City Hall. "Extremely green around the ears." Kaiya chuckled a little as they made their way down the other entrance, "And quite large ones they are, to boot. I guess that makes him quite the larger idiot."
-
Reno shrugged at Rigor's anger and frustration of falling for a trap, walking towards the metal detectors. "They only locked the doors. That just means we've found the witch. The guard said the glass in the building was magically infused by "Her". She is probably in the building, we just have to find her. She made it easier on us." he said, somewhat smug. He decided to climbed over the metal detector. Upon reaching the other side he almost fell. He walked forward to an empty intersection of hallway. The city's emblem on the floor below their feet. The silence seemed to echo as he stood there, only able to hear his breathing. That's when he heard a noise down the right corridor, footsteps. Then down the left corridor. The number of footsteps gave the impression there were a lot of people coming. "Well it looks like the welcoming committee has arrived. Get ready." Reno said, extending his right hand for Rigor to transform into weapon form.
-
"Well it's kind of obvious at this point," Rigor replied, exasperated with waiting. Within a few moments, she was in Reno's palm in axe form. "We're gonna hope this is the welcoming committee because if it isn't, then we're gonna have one angry city on our hands." Her tongue whipped out and danced along the edges of her mouth, then returned back with a cackle. "Either way, I'm gonna be having a good meal and some fun."
-
Daamon and Kaiya lurked through the shadows as they navigated around, finding their ways. After a few short minutes, they found Reno and Rigor walking along, and stayed in the shadows up in the support beams, almost clinging to the ceiling, away from sight. The two kept voices to a very minimum where no sound could be heard by anyone else. "Looks like we'll be able to see how he does without relying on his little berserker state."
-
As the sounds got closer Reno took Rigor in both hands, preparing to defend himself. Several security guards came down the right and left corridors, they all encircled the two. They themselves brandished batons of sorts, a few of them crackling with electricity at the tips. Their eyes were also glowing a bright red. "Come on ya demons, make yer first move!" taunted Reno. One of them did charge them after he said that. He cocked Rigor back in his hands readying a swing, which he let loose. It cut the guard in half at the midsection, spraying blood all over. Two more guards rushed in, Reno ran at them running up the first one jumping into the air and down onto the second, cleaving him in half down the middle; again spraying blood. From there he delivered a sweep kick to one of them and finished him with a downward attack to his midsection. He ripped Rigor from him, making blood fly through the air. One came behind him and grabbed him as another came to strike him with a stun baton. However he kicked off his chest using the momentum to roll over the other an get behind him. He then butted him in the back of the head with Rigor's handle. He stumbled forward into the other guard and Reno swiftly ended them. After a few minutes of battle Reno had finally killed them all, breathing heavily he had looked over what he had done. The bodies didn't turn into dust, however, rather sit there and bleed. Reno himself was covered in blood and you couldn't step on the floor without being in it. Soon blue souls floated upwards, hovering over the individual bodies. "...Those weren't demons...Were they..." After standing there shortly, he spoke again. "Their eyes...They had to be demons...Why else would they have attacked?"
-
"I'm not entirely sure, but a meal's a meal." she said transforming, perched on Reno's shoulders, licking her maw. It was also bloodstained from battle given her mouth was where the blade was. She scooped up the souls, devouring them as quickly as she could, almost gleefully. "Something fishy is going on. Maybe the witch is possessing them or something. We need to keep on our toes. Too bad we're covered in blood or I'd say now was the perfect time to disappear." She crossed her arms, dissatisfied with what was going on. It seemed to be her default look in this situation. Grumpy as usual with a hint of suspicion, her arms crossed as she was irritated with the tricks. "Usually I'm the one pulling all the tricks around here. This witch is starting to piss me off." She inhaled growling lowly, then roared angrily. "Enough with the pawns, I want the queen!" She was sure Reno would be angry at her for drawing attention to herself, but she was certain the witch already knew where they were anyway given the attacks.
-
Daamon watched with quite the unhappy demeanor, "He's got quite a lot more to learn if he plans on living on outside of the DWMA." Kaiya remained emotionless but did give Daamon a slight puch, "If you're so (censored) worried about the kid, then why don't you go help him?" Daamon shook his head, "No. If I were to help him, then he wasn't worthy of my attention or the chains that I gave him. Max, Lira, you, me, Kuro, Hannya... All of us learned and ascended in strength on our own, learning to survive on our own, without help. If he can't learn it, he isn't fit to live."
-
Reno walked on, down the right corridor not really thinking on where he was going. He wasn't really used to killing humans, the thought of them being possessed made it someone easier to cope, using it as an excuse. In his disarray he had Rigor turn back into weapon form, he wasn't thinking clearly but he at least knew he was in enemy territory and had to be ready for anything. He walked for awhile, the eerie silence returning as he rounded a few corners. He stopped when he saw someone at the end of the hall standing in front of a door. Reno continued to approach, eventually seeing that the person was a rather large man. The man held two large clubs, one in each hand. Another noticeable feature was a DWMA emblem on his coat. "You're with the DWMA...? Why are you-" The man's eyes were glowing red as the others were. "You will have to get passed this one if you wish to see me, Reno." said the man. "What? How did you know my name?" "I know everything about you, Reno..." said a female voice in Reno's head. His left eye began to glow a bit red, it caused a sharp pain in the eye making Reno press his left paw against it to try to relieve some pain. "Who-..." Reno turned around, looking for the source of the voice, only seeing several guards blocking the path behind him. "I know why you want to see me." "Get...Out of my head!" Reno shouted aloud. Inside Reno's mind there was a figure of a woman, however there were no other features, just a blackened image of a woman. Rigor, being linked with his mind would be able to see and hear her. Though Reno couldn't see her in his head, rather just hear her. He didn't know it but the man was walking towards him from behind, raising a club to strike. Suddenly the pain in his eye stopped and Reno was able to sense a sudden danger, he immediately surmised it was the man. He rolled right, just in time to dodge a downward strike.
-
Rigor took notice of the presence, stepping between him and the shadowed figure within the confines of his mind. "Look Reno, get your head together!" She grabbed him and started to shake him. "She's gonna toy with you if you give her the attention, just ignore her unless you want to be clobbered by the guy you're fighting." Rigor continued to stand in front of Reno, between them in his mind, her back facing the figure as she completely ignored her. It was hard to devote such energy to being split between his mind and fighting for her, but she was going to damned well attempt it so she wouldn't be on the receiving end of a beat down. In all honesty, she wanted to turn around and throttle the figure that had interjected into his mind, but if she gave in to allowing the witch just a small amount of attention, she would be prone to subjecting to the witch's control.
-
Daamon and Kaiya merely sat in the shadows and continued to watch Reno and Rigor with intrigue. As the events unfolded, particularly with Reno's mind ensnared, they paid closer attention. Kaiya was about to make a move when Daamon stopped her, "No. Getting taken down will be a learning experience. We'll only jump in if his life is really in danger. Plus, the witch hasn't exposed herself except to them, so we must remain cautious."
-
Reno got to his feet after his dodge, having been able to think clearly again. However before he could think, the man followed up his downward strike with a horizontal one from his other hand. He rolled backwards to avoid it, as his back was on the ground the club passed over him while he continue into a back flip landing back on his feet. The man was going into a spin with both his clubs extend, the left one just passed, leaving the right one to come around. Reno jumped up to dodge this one, letting it pass under his feet. Seeing as the man's back was exposed he went in for a strike. Though the right club came around in time to block it. It put the axe and club into a deadlock until the club in the left hand collided with the other giving it a sudden force to knock Reno back. He kept his footing and didn't fall, however. "Damnit, this guy is quick and bulky!" Reno pondered at a way to take him down as he kept up his guard. The man just stood there, seeming to wait for Reno's next move.
-
Soul Resonance? Rigor questioned within Reno's mind. She wanted to, but she felt as if it might be dangerous because she would have to put all her energy into the attack, possibly leaving Reno vulnerable to the witch. Either that or just cut him up... Strike his arms, something, play dirty. It was hard for her to communicate without the witch tuning in, but she was able to leave the witch thinking they were going to do something stupid.
-
Reno darted straight for the man and jumped into the air for an attack. However, it was blocked and Reno was thrown into a wall. Again he ran and jumped at him to the same effect. The next time Reno ran he feinted his jump, making the man block even though Reno didn't jump. Instead Reno slid under him and got behind him, as he rose to his feet he brought the axe up and cut into the man's left, disarming him. He came around with his right and Reno rolled under it. However he reversed his swing and came back at him while he was on the ground. Reno barely managed to block with Rigor and was sent rolling across the floor. He quickly got up and charged at him again, he was able to break through his block this time and get a cut across his chest. Quickly the man booted Reno away and retook his other club. "Soul resonance!" he bellowed. It was a last ditch effort on his half. Reno stood up holding Rigor in front of him. "Soul resonance, lets go! This is it!" Rigor's handle extended into Reno's other hand and her blade grew and became more menacing looking. The axe glowed as Reno cocked her back readying for a swing. They both then rushed at each other. "Twin fang!" "Post mortem cleave!" The two attacks collided and made a bright flash of light. When the light faded Reno was behind the man both of their backs facing each other. The man fell forward onto his face, blood beginning to pool under him. His weapons transformed back into their human forms and stood over him. It was a male and female, dressed very similar. It was fairly apparent they were related, like twins. After seeing that their meister was dead they fell to their knees, looking at Reno. "With our meister dead we have no reason to live. Finish us." they said in unison. "What? No...Just go home. I won't kill you." said Reno walking over to the man. He was allowing Rigor to eat his soul that had began to float up. The two then drew small swords and plunged them into their own chests killing them. It was shocking to Reno, but he couldn't react in time to stop them. "Damnit..."
-
Rigor stayed in axe form, scooping up the soul with her long tongue and guiding it into her mouth, the tail disappearing down her throat. She felt mentally exhausted from doing her soul resonance and staying in Reno's mind to keep the witch from him. She had buckled once, completely disappearing from the room during the attack, but thankfully the witch had not made a move by the time she had returned back into his mind and stood between them. Rigor seemed to be panting, "Alright Reno, I don't know how long I can keep this up." She said. She ignored the twins' actions as they collapsed. Weak idiots.. She growled mentally. "Let's get this over with."
-
Daamon merely silently applauded as he watched the results of the fight, "Looks like he didn't even need to resort to the chains for this. But then again, that guy was weak as hell. Too many pompous players who think having two partners makes you more powerful." Kaiya agreed, "Yea, but you do have to admit that the power output is higher and the soul resonance, if mastered, can be almost as destructive as ours."
-
"Well...If what that guy said was true...We should be just about done with this." Reno said. He was breathing heavier than normal as he walked to the door the man was guarding. Halfway he turned to look at the guards behind him, who were still just standing there making sure he couldn't leave. After that he went through the door, on the other side were some descending stairs he went down. They spiraled downward, and seemed like the went on forever. As he walked the pain in his eye came back. Reno clenched his eye in pain, which caused him to fall down the stairs. Luckily there wasn't too many left and he soon tumbled all the way to the bottom. "Reeenooo...." called the witch in his mind. With his hand still over his eye he started getting to his feet, noticing another door in front of him. He slowly opened it with his free hand and stumbled inside. Passed the door was a long hallway which he stumbled down. "You are so close, Reno...Almost there..." she continued in his mind. "That voice...I-..." just then Reno's knees buckled, making him fall onto all fours. "Why...Am I so weak? Is it her?" He staggered to his feet and continued on until he reached the door. He fell through it as it opened, barely managing to keep his balance as he stood there, looking at the witch who was sitting on a throne in the middle of the room. "R-...Rio...? You're a-..." The tan furred fox that was the witch sat there and chuckled. She was in a tight fitting pair of white sequined pants, as well as a white jacket over a black shirt. "Mmm...Reno, you made it. Come over here, let me get a good look at you." she said, teasing. Reno couldn't help but to take a step towards her, hesitantly he kept going. He didn't want to, but Rio was forcing him to.
-
"Reno! Get your shit together!" Rigor cursed from his hand. "The more you acknowledge and give in the more power she's going to have over you." She growled, already feeling a distaste for the witch. Rigor was staying in weapon form to keep on the safe side, but she assumed it would be useless if Reno was so easy to will around. She could tell that Reno was already being pushed around mentally by the witch despite her standing between them within his mind. In his mind, she grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him. "Focus on what we're here to do. Focus on our objective." She glanced over her shoulder catching a glimpse of the witch's figure, her eye turning red in response. Rigor scowled, still staring at the witch in his mind, pushing her out of her own head. Rigor's eye returned to its regular yellow. "I'm not as much of a push over as he is."
-
After Reno began his little journey down the stairs, Daamon looked at Kaiya, who nodded, and then both jumped down from the ceiling. The ones at the door were then surprised at the sudden appearance and ran straight for them, screaming. Daamon had already closed the door, so no one downstairs would be able to hear. Kaiya transformed her right arm into a blade and rushed in to meet the oncoming annoyances, staying pretty low to the ground, and cut their legs from under them. She quickly jumped backwards without turning around and landed her blade right into one's heart, while Daamon had also jumped, and landed on, crushing the other's head. Kaiya then pulled out her blade arm and it reverted back to her own. The two then walked around, looking for the proper ventilation and went in, heading down. When they reached the end, the two of them could hear the commotion going on. Just past the vent, Daamon and Kaiya could see the witch and Reno and Rigor in the dim light, and slowly removed the vent, surveying from the ceiling again, so as not to be seen.
-
Reno eventually made it to Rio in her chair. She forced him to fall onto her and wrap his arms around her waist as she sat there. "Aww....Did you miss me, Reno?" she teased again. "R-Rio..." stuttered Reno. He was trying to resist the control, only barely able to. Rio patted him on his head and softly pushed him off her and onto the floor. "So...You came here to ask me something?" "I-..." "Go on...Tell me." Reno sat there in silence, he was having difficulty speaking. He had a problem speaking to women, Rio most of all. "You wanted me to kill your witch, right? That hag Samantha." Reno merely nodded nervously. Rio stood up from her throne and walked towards him. "I've seen how she treats my poor...Little...Reno..." she said, kneeling down next to him. She put her hand up to his face. "You're covered in blood...Let me fix that..." Rio stood up and took a step back. She extended her hand and snapped her finger, making all the blood on Reno vanish. "I'll kill her for you...On one condition..." she said seductively. Reno began to blush, he already knew what she wanted. Rio saw his reaction and could tell he knew. "So do we have a deal?"
-
Rigor transformed back to herself, having enough of the witch, standing between the both of them. "We sure the hell don't." She crossed her arms looking displeased. "I don't give a damn what you do to Samantha, but I'm sure as hell not going to let you push Reno around like Samantha has. There's only one person that gets to push his ass around and that's me." She was thoroughly irritated at this point, using her tail to lift Reno up to his feet. "We'll kill Samantha ourselves before we'll get help from you." The dragon chameleon defiantly poked Rio in the nose hard enough to make her stumble backward from the both of them, spitting the word "you" out as if it were venom in her mouth. "All you witches are the same." Rigor jerked Reno hard by his torso, forcing him to follow her to the stairs.
-
Daamon was surprised a bit at what he heard, "So he's a Bound One. That explains a lot. But it seems that they want to kill their witch, so there's still a chance we won't have to kill them and watch them grow." "Yea, but if this witch breaks him, they're useless. That rabbit boy's mind is too weak. There's no way in hell that he'll make it." "If he breaks, we'll kill him. Simple as that."
-
Rio stepped back from being poked in the nose, however she just chuckled. "I see you trained your weapon well, Reno. Someone has to stand up for you." she said, insulting a bit. "I can stand up for myself, thank you!" he said nervously. He was still blushing, the thought of two girls fighting over him was a little much. He was surprised his nose wasn't bleeding from it. "Don't fool yourself, Reno." Rio said, strutting her way back to her throne. Once sat down she looked at the two, leaning on her hand. "Well, I have a couple pups to deal with. They're getting troublesome. You go ahead and kill her yourselves. If you can't handle it, Reno...Just call my name...I'll be there to help. Just remember the price." she chuckled deviously. Reno just stood there, not really sure what to do at this point.
-
"You would know about training, wouldn't you?" Rigor shot back. "No one has trained me, I simply do what benefits me." Rigor growled, turning her snout up melodramatically at the witch. "We're not above handling our own witch. The only reason why we haven't is because stupid here has some twisted sense of attachment for her. Personally, she could rot in hell for going back on a deal she made with me." Rigor again proceeded to walk away, taking Reno with her by his torso. She was mad, mainly because of what the witch had asked in return. As much as she wanted to pin the witches against one another it seemed as if she was going to have to do her own dirty work concerning Samantha. She was also irritated because she figured the two might destroy one another, and that was just two less witches to deal with in her mind.
-
At Rio's mention of two pups, Kaiya already transformed into her sword form, ready for a fight if the witch so chose to do. Mind-jackers. My favorite type of witch. They depend so much on diving into people's minds, and using them on weaker-willed people. So much easier to kill than any other. Daamon held his position in the shadows of the support beams against the ceiling until there's sign of action.

Reno went along with Rigor, whether he liked it or not. Upon exiting the room he spoke. "We're going to kill her? Samantha?" he asked as they walked up the stairs. Rio remained sitting on her throne, leaning on her hand. "Humph...It's going to be boring now...Well...At least I can entertain my guests." she said with a devious smile at the end. She snapped her fingers making openings in the floor that brought up several people, all with their eyes glowing red. A few police, several security guards and other people. Notably the police were brandishing pistols and shotguns. "Alright, let's get the party started!" she said, standing up from her throne. With another snap of her finger strobe lights light up the room and loud techno music began to play. The people with guns opened fire at Daamon and Kaiya who were up near the ceiling. As that was going on Rio strutted over behind her throne, again snapping her finger making a secret passage open up. She went through letting it close behind her.
-
"Yes. Yes we are." Rigor again expressed her dissatisfaction through the expression on her face. "We.. Well, I had intended on pinning one witch against the other, but I'd rather blow my head off than deal with what she wants in return. I guess we'll have to do the dirty work. WE." She glared at Reno. "You nodded to Rio when she asked you if you wanted Samantha dead, why the sudden change in heart?"
-
Daamon's arm glowed a bit as Kaiya took over for a quick couple seconds, deflecting the bullets that came too close as Daamon ran down the wall and kept low, running the border of the room. He then threw Kaiya through one of the suspended lights and it crashed on top of one of the cops. Daamon then ran harder, as the firing continued to concentrate on him. Kaiya then transformed back and landed amongst the crowd, shaping both her arms and twirled around, killing most of them in one fell swoop. Daamon then took advantage of the brief surprise to them, and Kaiya jumped towards him, transforming fully in midair. He got a grip on her handle as the darkness emerged from behind him and consumed the whole room. The darkness dissipated soon after and Daamon stood there over diced bodies, souls hanging over them all. Kaiya reverted to herself and picked up souls to consume them.

"Yeah...Kinda..." Reno mumbled. "She's never done anything for me. And she lied to you and stuck you inside me. She...You're right...I mean...She has never done anything good for me...Or nice...And she's mean to me. It's like she doesn't care." he kinda ranted. At this point he was walking for himself rather then being pulled. They made it to the top of the stairs and went through the door. All the guards that were there had vanished, the eerie silence had returned. "So...How do we want to do it? Poison? Frontal assault? Blow up her house?" Reno was sounding a little eager as he listed off various ideas while they walked the halls.
-
"I had a little slicing and dicing in mind. We could probably catch her off guard if we play pet while we're there and catch her by surprise." Rigor rubbed her chin in thought. "One precisely timed Post Mortem Cleave would do it, just slice her in half." Rigor stopped walking and perched on Reno's shoulders as she usually did, allowing him to do the walking. "I'm somewhat disappointed with this last witch. We should have just killed her or something. What if she's actually in with Samantha?"
-
Daamon checked the wall where the secret passage was and found it closed up. Kaiya then came over and examined it, "Yea, it's not THAT thick. Gattoutsu. It'll be enough." Daamon took a couple steps back and held out his hand, Kaiya jumping into it while transforming into a sword. Daamon took the stance and attacked the wall with the powerful thrust technique. "It was still pretty thick, my arm's tingling. That must have been about a foot of stone." "Oh stop whining you little bitch. That was MY head."

Reno continued on out of the building the way he had entered. To his surprise it was unlocked and walked right out. "I guess we should go home then...Well...To Samantha's house." He walked down the road, following the path he came all the way to the train station. No one was around still, at least until they got to the train station. The man inside the booth was the only one he could see. Walking up to him he was about to order the tickets when the man slid out two tickets. "She's expecting you." "Oh crap..." Reno thought. He grabbed the tickets with dismay and proceeded onto the train. Reno went into one of the rooms and went to go sit down. At that instant Rio appeared behind him making him sit on her lap. She then threw her arms around him to prevent him from getting away. "Why hello, Reno. So happy to see you." she whispered in his ear. Reno tried to get free from her grip but couldn't. He could have, but he was distracted with being nervous and not wanting to hurt her in his attempts. However, when she started biting his ear he broke from her grip and sat opposite her. "R-R-Rio! When did you-" he stopped to check his nose, his face lit up like a Christmas tree.
-
"I don't see why we can't go back to that hotel." Rigor grumbled, going back into Reno as they stepped out the door. When the loaded up on the train, there really was no convincing Reno otherwise. It was then that they were approached by Rio. As quickly as Reno had broken away from her, Rigor shot out of his chest, growling. "What do you want with us, we don't need your damned help. Our business with you was done when we left."

Daamon and Kaiya stopped by the mayor's office and collected half of the money for their bounty, saying that they'd taken longer than usual. When they left, Kaiya sniffed around and followed Reno's scent as they talked, "Good thing we can always BS our way out since witches never return when they leave their lairs. Anyways, it seems the witch is following your boy." Daamon heightened his haste and Kaiya sped up to stay in front of him. The train was already leaving when they arrived, so they ran off to the side away from the station and too the track, jumping atop the train.
