Ok so it seems now amoung the "newer members" that there is just a lack of respect. Idk it just seems that they use more vulgarer language then the older members, maybe because the rules were stricter not to long ago. It just seems that some (not all) just span randomly, idk why they just feel like they should post for no good reason, aka spam. This was my first forum I ever joined the reason I believe that I love it so much, is because of the community, form the irc ruler tweak, to the always watching mod Zeph. Almost every one here is positive, and is always there to offer advice, and for the most part, when there is a dispute between members, it always seemes to be nothing but the past in the end. What I'm trying to say is, this place was and still is a good place, full of friendly people.
I was a "noob" if you will, once, I didn't not know how to rp to well, so I went to the fun rp, because serious should be left to the serious rpers. I gradually grew better, and tried to join a serious rp, I messed up and didn't know about ooc, gabag ask me to remove my post, and I did and apologized. But I didn't just spam randomly, if a mod told me to get back on topic I didn't just make so smart remark undermining them. I was a noob once, but I still showed respect, it just seems with a lot of the new people, they have no respect. I remember when I first joined we all rped in the fun because we all were noobs, but we kept to the topic, we didn't just randomly decide to start ranting there or spam nonsense. It got so bad I remeber Zeph having to actually close and fun rp, a fun on I mean honestly? Or in a ooc are you honesly going to act childish if someone states something. Or what got to me a lot, why are you going to post in the "rant and advice" negative things, you are suppose to give ADVICE, if you can't use your head, then don't post!
Don't get me wrong there are some new members that I became quite found of, so its not an attack on anyone for being new, I think we could use new members all the time. My main thing is that, just because you are new (or old can work both ways) gives you no right to just spam as you please, and not follow the rules.
And I know I'm not even closet to being an old member.

I like to think its more they dont read the "about the insert forum page here board" topic. Its the reason why we have so many boards is so we dont get too off topic in any one.
-
I admit, I didn't not read any of those pages, the only thing I ever read was the rules in the serious rp, so I wouldn't think that is the problem, but common sense, isn't a common as it use to be.
-
"Newbies" are not the problem, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't rant about them as if they were. We often have issues with older members as well. The staff does what we can to minimize these issues, and if there's a problem, you just need to talk to us.
There are also plenty of both older members and newbies who fit into the community just fine.
-
In my last paragraph I sated that it wasn't meant to be an attack on noobies, and that I have no problem with new people, and that it also counts for old people.
-
Lol when I first joined a year and a half ago I read the forum rules top to bottom a couple times. And whenever I do break the rules accidentally I personally feel bad about it like I did something unforgivable. I don't know why I get that way, but I see where you are coming from. It's like some of the newer folk don't really read the rules before they start posting.
-
Yea, when I mess up I'm like "noooooooooo!!!! Forgive me D: :'(" lol
-
Yeah.. I kinda see what you mean, but I also agree with Zeph abit..
Well, for myself, when I joined, I used to actually hold back with talking bout some things that I now know is just fine to talk about, such as more 'extreme' stuff.. Even tho I even back then knew it wasn't against the rules hehe.. It was mostly because I was abit shy and also slightly scared that you'd think I'd be some sorta freak XD
-
Seriously, I think that the forum is better off than it was.
-
In what manner? That was a little vague
-
haha as a "not so new" member i feel old now.... :S
-
Oh, just the people around. Sorry, that WAS a bit vague. xD
They're just more... Fun I guess. :)
-
This isn't a hate on them, I'm just saying SOME lack respect, not ALL of them, as I said I'm quite found of some
-
what lack of respect? I respect the rules and members equally
-
Hey, I'm a noob here.. And I absolutely love this place!! If I've spammed or showed a lack of respect, I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise and ask the mods and older members to pm me and imform me if and when I'm out of line.. This place is amazing and I wouldn't want to upset anyone!!
Much love

Drake come on man... what was the point of that, there where no fingers pointed, so people when people act like that I typically say the same thing, hey guilty conscience
Minxkitty, again not all new members are bad and not all old all good, I haven't seen any random spamming from you, so you seem fine ;), so ill take that moment yo welcome you to the board

ask the mods and older members to pm me and imform me if and when I'm out of line..
We always do when there's a need for it. If you don't hear from us, you're fine.
And that goes for everyone. As I said before, there are plenty of new members around here that are just fine. We were all newbies once. I really don't want to make new members feel shut out by accusing them of something they haven't even done, so I think it's about time to end this thread.
