There's alot of games where you slay dragons but what are some games where you play AS the dragon? The only one I can think of is Spyro the Dragon (which I loved the origional trilogy) but does anyone know any others? :D

You can play as Tweak the dragon in Fur Fighters on Dreamcast :3

There's Dragon Rage, but it's a terrible, terrible game. I bought it out of curiosity and because it was cheap, but I don't recommend it.
In Drakengard, you play as the dragon half the time, and you play as the warrior/dragon rider the other half of the time. The rider still sits on the dragon's back when you control her, but for for all practical purposes you're playing as the dragon.
You play as a dragon in the Reign of Fire game for at least part of the time if not all of it... I own the game but have hardly played it yet, so I don't know much about it.
There's Spyro, of course.
Pretty sure controlling dragons is a big part of Lair, but never played that one either.
I believe you can control the dragon in the Eragon game, but I've never played it myself and have no idea what it's like.
This is a bit of a stretch, but in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, there are characters that are your allies who can transform into dragons. But it's a strategy game, so it's more like you just move them around a map and watch the battles play out without actually controlling them.
Others that I've heard of but never played:
- Panzer Dragoon Orta
- Drakan: The Ancient Gates
- How to Train Your Dragon

in I of the dragon youre always a dragon... not sure bout quality tho.

I actually read the Eragon series and enjoyed it but heard that the movie and game were terrible so have avoided them with great haste! But these are some good recommendations and I'll have to play some of them! Thanks for info and if anyone else has any other ideas, I'm all ears

And Radiant Dawn gives you both of those dragons at once, plus the dragon prince and another dragon, all playable at the same time. You have a point though on the whole strategy game thing.
As for games where you are the dragon... the American Dragon Jake Long games are always an option. Dragon type Pokemon too :3

Don't they all die/turn evil in the end?
I'm not sure it matters, but I saw this one game at a pawn shop called Scaler, which I know nothing about other than the fact that the main character is a dragon, or at least the box-art made it look like that. From the cover, it looked to me like a crappy Spyro ripoff, but since I've never played it or know anyone who has, I can't say how bad or good it is.
There's this Dungeons and Dragons game for the NES where you can play as a bronze, silver, or gold dragon.
Then a Namco game named Dragon Spirit (or something like that) where you can play as a dragon, but it's pretty average. ...Better than the Dungeons and Dragons game, though.
The Shining Soul series has anthro dragons as playable characters if those count.
There's also a Japanese game named Emerald Dragon where you START OUT as a dragon, but soon turn into a boring human 10 minutes into the game. Not sure if it's worth a mention.
That's all I know for now.
Edit: Apparently, Scaler DOES have a fanbase, so I guess it's not all that bad, but unfortunately the game just stares a lizard, not a dragon, so it doesn't really count, I guess.

They're not evil, they're just very stubborn :3
You're forced to kill the Dragon King, but the playable ones stay with you, and not that many dragons die... unless you kill them.
I stumbled onto the name of a game somewhere else and decided to look it up. It's called Trickster Online, and it has a playable dragon class if you're still looking.
