Yeah the title is self explanatory. But I'm getting really sick of it, it takes it 20 million years for it to load a picture or something and sometimes its like derp duh der not going to open for you. I'm getting really sick of this old piece of junk, it's slow and clunky and I can't seem to get onto MSN, it's really irritating me and I have no idea how to get it to work. I need to get rid of some stuff that I don't need. I'm a tech nerd and I hate it when my tech craps out on me.

get a baseball bat and vent your anger on it. then buy computer parts to make your own. I made a computer that runs pretty spanking good for about 300$

Sounds good to me.

I know your situation... I've had a $1428 laptop (sony vaio... overpriced crap in my opinion) I got for chistmas 3 years ago.. It srsly takes 5-10 seconds each time I try to open the quickest softwares... Google Chrome for example...and a bootup can take 2 minutes. It was running Windows 7 64-bit and had 4GB of RAM and a 2.2GHz Intel Core Duo CPU... not to mention a single rather lightweight first person shooter game (CoD: MW2) which lagged at 1280x720 resolution with lowest possible graphical settings... for comparison, I finally got myself a 10x better gaming rig for about the same price...
I guess you could try re-format the harddrive if you havn't already.. otherwise, the best option would be to just get something better, there are plenty of manufacturers that makes laptops that actually perform good for a decent price... However, if your out for a real good performance at good prices, I'd agree with Macid that a home made desktop rig is potentionally the best performance for the price if you get the right parts, of couse.

your laptop may just hate you.......maybe it feeds on your anger........(http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/1156/demotivationalpostersco.th.jpg) (http://img822.imageshack.us/i/demotivationalpostersco.jpg/)........i think macid's option would be the funest tho.

I feel you.
My laptop fell and the only thing that broke was the Cd drive.

It can't read Cds so no Dvds.

I used my old laptop's screen as a golfball.
Shattered it into a million pieces all over the lawn. Best thing I've done in a while.

Well, it could just be your internet card :/
Personally I have found designing a simpler OS and installing it into an older computer after a complete wipe is an amazing way to rival modern equipment. I did that to my old computer, you can even find a good setup of pre-written coding so all you have to do is finish it up with the C coding, I mean, its not only a great way to keep costs low, but it is also a great activity when you have some free time.
P.S. Be careful with your bootloader....
