Ok first, I wouldn't say spoiler alert, I haven't beat the game, but I do want to say some thing about the changes, just a heads up.
Ok first, omg I can't belive this game, its so fun!
Anyways, it is a lot harder then the 3rd, like with computer hax, and even just stander killing, I was wondering if I was going crazy, or every one else noticed this to

I play it too and I have to agree with you on that. Hacking is a lot harder than it used to be and the enemies are tougher, I mean come on...death claws that hunt in groups now? I have a lot of fun on this game and I enjoy it alot.

Wow I didn't know that -_-, I been avoiding them, I haven't got the best guns yet, the one thing that is killing me, is the freezes

The melee and unarmed skills have been vastly upgraded and are much more useful in my oppinion...
although new vegas is much much more glitchy than fallout 3...
currently i am a level 18 melee weapons specialist traveling the wastes, scavenging for materials and the truth....with only my companions rex and grandma lily.....
oh and Mr. house's real form scared the hell out of me O____________________________________O

i found out fallout new vegas has a nudity mod!!
it also lets you make your females more unique.

I just bought it today for PC with an old gift card for Gamestop I never used, I should have it on Tuesday.

In fallout 3, if I got the shiskabab <- sp, I pwned for life, in the new one they get around me better, I get killed by some noob rad scorpion

Shiskebab is the flaming sword weapon right? I also remember there was that Vampire's Edge or whatever that one vampire leader was wielding that was on fire when he took it out in Fallout 3. I hate those big radscorpions because you can't keep backing up to avoid them forever while shooting unless you jump on a rock or some sort of non-sloped elevated location. Is it true that ammo now has a weight to it and you can only carry so much?

a realism mode has been introduced, it gives ammo weight, and requires your character to sleep,eat and drink or you die. o.o

Oh forget that, I want to have fun, not strangle myself till my gun explodes in my hands.

That's only in hardcore mode, I can't wait till I beat it to try hardcore mode, the thing I like about the new one, sometimes, is that everything can be useful, like in number 3 barter was the most useless skill, but in the new one, it can be a nit more usefull

Personally I follow whatever is the best "starting levels" because if you put them in a certain way, you'll get all 10's or probably more in this new game as far as I know >_>

energy weapons,sneak and explosives have been badly nerfed
now even with silent running enemies still notice you D:
oh and survival is lame past 50 points >_<

I know sneak isn't as good as it was, and I never used gun skills, untill I got the addons in number 3, still won'tuse them untill I get the mains to 80

That may be because the shiskebob doesn't have enough of a punch to bypass the Rad Scorpions Damage Threshold, I found the best way to take them out it to put bleak venom on a spear (doing that I took down a giant one at level 2)

I love the game too. I haven't completed it yet, I've mostly been doing side quests and generally wreaking havoc. I'm still looking forward to the future DLC for this game as well. The stuff they hinted towards in Dead Money makes it sound interesting, like the supposedly epic battle between you and another courier "bearing the flag of the old world on his back" at the Great Divide and the possibility of finally coming across the Burning Man.
