It was just your typical Saturday morning. Shannon was coming home from school. However Zed at the junkyard let his beasties loose. And they were barreling straight towards her. Thinking quick she bolted in the direction of her home, jumping the fence and slamming her door shut.
Locking it and secure from the really angry rotwilliers, she jumped on the TV and turned on some Comedy Central. She was in the middle of some Super Troopers when the broadcast was interupted.
"YOUR KIDDING!?" she yelled as she bolted from her lazy stance on the couch. Her favorite movie was now playing an emergency news broadcast. Wait emergency?
Sitting back down, she listened intently to the Broadcast.
"All over the West Coast, mobs of rioters have begun attacking other civilians in an angry storm of blood and bodies."
The anchorman stopped talking over a b-roll of a giant wave of people running away from another even larger wave of peope, with some on the ground and being mobbed by large groups of the sickly mob.
"Breaking news. This morning, we were the victims of a biological bombing attack in California. Victims of the initial bombings soon died, and reanimated into appears to be zombies. I repeat those are zombies! at this rate, the Central states and soon the Eastern states will be victims of a zombie assault. All citizens are recommended to evacuate their homes and head to the nearest Army Support Center. The military has mobilized in an effort to try and hold off the zombies."
It didn't just happen in the U.S. All over the world, at precisely 7:00 A.M. Biologicial missiles were launched from an unknown source. These missiles streaked towards their intended impacts and exploded in air, releasing their deadly contagions upon the unsuspecting populace below them. Those lucky enough to just die from the virus just died. The unlucky ones were reanimated into zombies, empty soulless husks, moving towards their prey in an everlasting hunger. This virus has been penned as Solanum, and there is no cure known.
Shannon turned off her T.V. Zombie invasion? That was the silliest idea she ever heard. That was until she heard her front window smash open.

*Looking at his gun, Max dusted off the barrel of his revolver wiping it with a towel he looked around by the broken down honda civic crashed into a fire hydrant long since dried up of its watery resources, he leaned against the hood of the car looking up at the broken glass of the skyscrapers, the emptied streets, and trashed sidewalks that seemed attached to an eerie gust of wind that blew trash and the smell of rotting corpses along its course* "Ah the good ol city life, funny I find it more interesting this way." *He held onto the kick of the revolver and opened the cartridge to make sure his Smith and Wesson was full* "Can't ever remember some days if I reloaded due to the high intensity of suspense around these parts, always have to assume the worst and avoid certain places, one of which should be this city. Though without any food I have little choice, this is probably the best place to find a working vehicle." *He shut the cartridge back into the gun and got up and started walking towards the intersections*

"I guess we all have a little captain in us, HAHAHHAAHAH!!!" Nasial said as she threw her empty bottle of Captain Morgun in the air. "Retched pigs taking my loot..." Nasial was now out of her boos for the day, so she deiced to go watch some toons, as she turned the tv on she saw some reported, and every channel she flipped to had it, she finally gave in and watched it.
"Like hell zombies exist, I know I've drank today, but I haven't had that much." she heard some loud noises coming from out side, she picked up her empty bottle of jack and steeped out of the wear house, she saw two guys beating up some other guy, "Hey you little craps get off him" she yelled as she threw the bottle. It smashed into one of the guys head and they both turned, the has blood dripping form there palms, and some kind of organs falling from there mouth. She felt a cold sweat come across her face, as she took a step back the two guys bursted into a sprint at her, "O crap!" she managed as she lunged for the door slammed it shut, and locked it. "what the hell..." she could fell the guys beat on the door, 'I need to get out of here' she thought to her self as she tried to make sure the door stayed shut.

"Slow day today, not a customer for hours," Bill said as he continued to sweep the floor around his deli counter. "2 hours and not a single person has even come by this place. Oh well, 'least I'm gettin' paid." After doing a check of his work, he decided to take his break since it was obvious that no-one was gonna come in any time soon. Grabbing a Rueben and some water from the soda machine, he began to eat his lunch quietly in one of the booths near the corner of the store. Halfway through his sandwich, he heard a familiar noise, "ding-aling." "Great, not even 5 minutes in my break and the only customer in 5 miles comes in," mutters Bill as he wipes his face of saurkraut. "Welcome to Hans' Deli Ma'am, be right with you." The women only gargled in response, as her lower jaw had been blown off, her tongue hanging down her neck, wriggling. "Uh, you alright, Ma'am?" said Bill, but before he could ask anymore, she lunged at him! Arms outstreched, she grabbed Bill and tried to gnaw at his face, but was unable to do serious harm, due to her missing jaw. Lying on the ground, Bill fought to keep the crazed lady back with all his might, and managed to wrestle himself free. Clambering up, he bolted for the counter where his knives were to defend himself. Knowing the lady was right behind him, he grabbed the first knife he found, spun around, and slashed the lady's eyes. Reeling back from the loss of her sight, the crazed lady began thrashing about in front of her, trying to get to Bill, but to no avail. Bill climbed over the deli counter and ran out into the streets, trying to find a cop he could tell about the lady with the missing jaw who attacked him.

Sam took another drag from his cigarette as he leaned back in his seat.
"Look, if there's a bills somewhere that says the government shouldn't do that, I'll sign it but what Im not gonna do is play ball. If you think I'm gonna help pay the rent you're in for a big surprise." Sam looked across at Pink and just laughed. Joe walked back from paying the bill for the men's breakfast. He picked up the dollar bills from off the table and began to count. "...Hey we're a buck short. Who didn't throw in?" Sam puffed out smoke. "Pink." Joe looked across over at Pink who was straigtening his tie. They all wore the same suits.
"Why the hell not?" Joe asked.
"He don't believe in it."
"Whadda mean ya don't believe in it?"
"He said he-"
"Shuddup." Joe cut Sam off.
Before Pink could answer there was a shrill scream from behind the counter. Joe and his 6 men all turned to see the waitress getting her head bitten off by the head chef. All of Joe's men reached for their pistols and drew. Gunfire tore up the small diner. The chef wasn't the only one crazy for blood. More and more patrons began to jump the tables. Sam picked up his chair and smashed it through the window behind them, resulting in the flying chair hitting a small child off his bicycle on the sidewalk. "C'MON! Let's get the hell outta here!" He yelled.

The whirling blades of the helicopter dulled the screams below as Entaru watched the carnage unfold from above. "My, my...quite a rapid contagion." Scribbling some notes down on his notepad, he didn't see his guards behind him shaking their heads in disgust.
"Would you listen to this guy...whole world goes nuts and he's giving the virus a compliment."
"Dumbass scientists wouldn't know the end of the world to the edge of a petri dish."
"A what?"
"Nevermind..."
Entaru ignored the soldier's comments as he continued taking notes. Buffoons...when they get themselves bitten I will be a lot happier. Worthless grunts. Suddenly something caught his eye. "Look there! Do you see that?!" He pointed to a mob of zombies below, slowly circling a small building.
"Yeah, so?"
"Don't you see what they're doing?" Frustration built in Entaru's voice.
"They're walking in circles...so what?"
"They're doing more than that, you simpleton! They're looking for a way in! Rather than smashing randomly, they're looking for a weak point to focus on."
"They're zombies...they're dead and brainless. That requires at least some smarts."
Entaru smirked. "Apparently not, since the military does it so well." The soldier growled in response as his partner shook his head. Entaru chuckled a bit before continuing. "They're dead...you were right about that. It's the brainless part I'm not so sure of."

Shannon nearly leapt out of her skin as her window caved in. Someone or Somezombie was in her house. Remembering what her father told her if this ever happened, she opened up the vase and pulled out the 9MM Beretta inside it. Breathing deeply, she loaded the clip into the gun and went to investigate.
When she arrived in the lobby, she found pieces of glass everywhere, some stained with blood. In the middle of the glass shards was a limp form, unmoving.
Slowly and surely however, it got to it's feet, a monotonous moan issuing from it's lips. Almost screaming, Shannon slammed back on the trigger, sending a slug into the tile in front of the zombie. Breathing deeply she steadied her aim and fired again, hitting the zombie in the heart. The bullet did little to slow the zombie, with it's shattered leg, was now shambling towards her with food on the mind. Steadying her aim once again, she pulled the trigger, and the zombie's brains blew out of the back of it's head.
Seeing the bits of gray matter fly everywhere, Shannon dropped her gun to cover her mouth from the stench. It smelt worse then a crap filled toliet, opening the front door caughing, she looked on with horror. The entire town was in chaos, people running, some trying to fight back and a relentless mob of undead creatures shambling forth.

*Out of the corner of his eye a couple of what seemed like ordinary people emerged from a car looking dazed with vacant expressions, but upon their glance into Max's direction, the look in their bloodshot eyes turned to that of a sinister one, bearing their teeth they came running with blood pouring from their maws* "Come to daddy." *Click click; the first adversary fell before it got past a few cars some 50 yards away, the second having only been shot in the arm still running forward*
"...Go down easy." *Click; a headshot was made upon the perpetrator and their eyes kept staring as they started moving towards the pavement and eventually kissed the ground in a red bath* ~Phhhooo~ *The wanderer blew the smoke from his gun and quickly opened the cartridge taking two more .45 bullets from his belt and loading them into the gun and closing it again* "Can never be too careful in these parts, there will more than likely..." *He stopped as he saw some moving objects coming closer in the distance* "Time to go."

"Curse me, curse me, crap what am I suppose to do" Nasial yelled, as she felt the pounding on the door. She looked around the room, there where some paintings, a stack of 'feel good pills', and there was here Lil baby. She rushed over to the car, and she pulled the sheet off, it was a orange 350 Z, she pressed the garage door thing, and grabbed four bottles of, feel good pills. She jumped in the car, and revved the engine, as she looked forward, she saw a number of zombies in front of her, "makes mama shine", she screamed as she floored the car running over the zombies.

As Bill ran out of the deli to find a police officer, he slowed to a stop to take in his surroundings. "What the heck?" he thought as he saw zombies feeding on victims, still alive and screaming in pain. It was clear to him that if he found an officer, he'd be a zombie too. He quickly hid in a shop door to think about his situation. "Okay, calm down. Don't panic. That's the first rule of survival. Alright, now, I just ate, so food isn't a priority at the moment. This knife won't do me any good if the zombies are anything like that lady. Boy what a lucky swipe that was. I should find something more durable like a bat. Hey wait! There's a sporting goods store not too far from here. Maybe If I move quietly, they wont notice me and I can sneak by." Bill slowly came out of the doorway and made his way down the street to the sporting goods store 3 blocks away.

They were all making a run for their cars. Sam didn't look back for anything, not even his boss. People were sprinting in all directions for reasons unknown. Sam ran out to his truck, a Blue 2006 Dodge Ram complete with his cousin's favorite 1 foot lift and monster tires and snorkel exaust pipes. "Why the hell am I driving this thing?" Sam quickly asked himself. He asked for a getaway car, not a hick's idea of a tank. It was probably the most assuming vehicle for a man of his class especially one for a bank heist but the job today was most certainly cancelled. Sam jumped onto the truck and tore the cab door open. White and Pink were right behind him. "SAM! We're riding with you. We'll meet up with Joe later!" Pink yelled before sprinting around to the other passenger side with White. Sam didn't care who was with him or where he was going but he was getting out of that city. Sam fiddled with all the keys on the ring looking for the one that belonged to the truck. He felt something pulling at his leg. He looked down at a zombified child tugging at his dress pants. He didn't like kids. He didn't like zombies even more. With this reasoning, he put a good size 10 dress shoe print into the kid's forehead. Sam climbed into the seat next to Pink and White and started up the engine. The large V8 roared to life and Sam slammed the door closed before speeding off.
"What the hell was that!? What the hell just happened back there!?" Pink asked looking back at the chaos.
"I think we're having a zombie apocalypse." White said.
"Thats the stupidest thing I ever heard." Pink said.
"I think he's right." Sam said before running over something big...hopefully not a person. "...Oops."
"Look, can we please just get the hell outta here?"
"What do ya think I'm trying to do here, Pink?"
"How many bullets we got left?"
"Considering I unloaded into fats and our un-tip worthy waitress...I got none."
"I still got 4 clips left."
"Good. I got a couple myself."
"Where we goin?"
"Dunno. Keep driving."

Entaru covered his ears as one of the soldiers fired the helicopter's minigun into a crowd of zombies. Smacking the soldier with a notepad he tried to shout over the noise.
"WHAT IN SAM HELL ARE YOU DOING?!! WE WERE SENT TO RETRIEVE SPECIMENS, NOT EXTERMINATE THEM!!!"
The soldier stopped firing. "What?!"
Entaru pulled the soldier off the gun. "I said to stop shooting, you fool! You're destroying valuable resouces!"
"They're zombies! You have plenty to choose from." The soldier shrugged off Entaru and continued firing.
"CEASE FIRE!! CEASE FIRE!! THAT'S AN ORDER!!" Entaru grabbed the soldier's arm and tried to push him off the gun. He succeeded...
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" The soldier fell from the helicopter and down to the zombie ridden street. The zombies were quick to devour the twitching body as the helicopter circled away.
"Oops..." Entaru's voice never wavered as he watched the zombies devour the man. "Well...at least he'll give them indigestion."
"INDIGESTION!! Holy **** man! You just killed him!" The soldier could only stare at Entaru in horror as they flew from the scene.
"He knew the risks when he signed up...and he disobeyed a direct order from his acting superior. Consider it his court marshall." Entaru's face was dead serious as he spoke. He took out his notpad again and began scribbling down more data as he looked on at the carnage below.
"Holy ****...."

As the survivor's various trucks and vehicles drove over zombies, they had to stop and vacate the vehicles. The roads were all blocked with abondended cars who were trying to escape, but failed.
Entaru's helicopter touched down for it's mission and the soldier and Entaru went to find a specimen, but whole they were gone, a zombie boarded their chopper and killed the pilot.

*The zombies came running behind him as he ran through wrecked cars and scattered fires with dead gunmen in the midst* "Crap, I'm apparently not the first to have a throw down with these freaks!" *He kept running and eventually came upon a small convenience store with barred windows and a locked glass door* "Hmm..." *He aimed at the lock with his revolver and turned his head away as he shot it off, shattering some of the glass* "Time to get out of the street." *He quickly opened it and moved inside, heaving one of the display shelves over in front of the door and then getting down to hide under the view of the windows*
*After everything got eerily quiet again he looked up outside the barred windows to check for the zombies, quickly seeing them randomly wandering about, almost looking like real people in the way they emulated their former selves* "That could be easily tricky from a distance." *He turned around looking at the dark unlit shelves and aisles of the mini mart* "I hope there's some twinkies."

"Ok, so sneaking around zombies doesn't work. At least they're slow,"Bill said to himself as the zombies stumbled closer. He'd only made it 1 block before he was noticed by the zombies and had to start jogging to keep out of range. Luckily, it was only 2 blocks to the sporting goods store and had little debris on this road, so it wasn't long before he made it to Sports Authority. Looking about the store, Bill noticed that there were only a few zombies in here, wearing uniforms and munching on corpses. "They seem preoccupied with their meals right now, maybe if I'm quiet, I can gear up before they notice me." Being careful not to bump into anything, Bill made his way to the baseball section. Eyeing the bats on the rack, he carefully picked up an aluminum bat. It was a nice bat, with a rubber grip and weighed about 10 pounds. Bill noticed on the display rack as well some under armor, tight fitting clothes that helped keep in heat. He could use them instead of his deli coat, which flapped in the wind so much it looked more like a cape. "If those zombies come for me while I'm getting dressed, that's the end. I'd better end them first." Bill swung his bat over his shoulder as he approached the first zombie munching on a customer's body. He brung the bat up, and brought the bat down hard on its head, cracking its head like a melon. It lay lifeless on the ground, "At least they're fragile." Taking out the other zombies in the store, Bill was now alone and free to gear up without immediate fear of zombies, for now. On his way back to the baseball section, Bill picked up a duffel bag to carry supplies in. He proceeded to remove his clothes, replacing them with under armor, grabbing a second bat, and a batting helmet to protect his head. Moving to football, he donned some shoulder pads to protect his neck area. In camping, he found a pair of hiking boots, a wind up radio station and flashlight, and a small hatchet. *Crash* He heard the front window shatter and the sounds of moaning in the front of the store. "Come on, I wasn't done yet," Bill said as he looked to the front of the store to see how many there were. There was at least 20 of them, too much for a bat to take down. "Guess its time to go out back. If its alarmed though, that'll draw them here. Better run for it." Bill made his way to the rear fire exit and prepared himself for what was behind it. Kicking it open, siren blaring, he ran outside with his bat ready to take down any zombie that got in his way. Next stop, Hospital.

Nasial was flying past a giant horde of zombies when she remembered that she had a mix cd in the car. She bent down and tried to pull it from the other side of the car, but when she pulled up, she saw that there was a giant road block in her way, she tried to swerve out of its way, but as she was turning she hut a rouge zombie. The car fliped and she slamed her head against the steering weal, as the car proceed with its flips. The car slew into a near by shop, and the glass shattered every where. Nasial would of been out cold from her head slam, but she had this deathly pain in her left shoulder. As she tired to regain focus she tired to move her left arm, only to scream in agony as the pain became exasterbated.

Having left the helicopter behind, Entaru and his armed escort moved silently through the streets. The soldier was armed with a mancatcher and a high voltage cattle prod, as well as his standard M-16...just in case. Entaru took the lead with a flare gun and a 22. pistol, a rubbish weapon unless aimed at the head...and the zombies gave him little choice as to where to aim.
"Now be careful...according to my theory, it will only take one to know we're here. And then we'll have a whole hoarde on our hands. So no gunfire unless absolutely nessecary. Agreed?"
Silence...
"Agreed? Well, do you agree or..." Entaru turned around to see his armed escort on the ground, being devoured silently as his voicebox was torn out.
"...not. Stealthy little buggers." Entaru looked around as the zombies gathered. He sighed lightly, straightened out his labcoat, and ran like a bat out of hell up a telephone pole. "Well...this is bad. Maybe I can..." Entaru looked out to where the helicopter was, only to see a crowd of zombies around it. "...great. How the hell did this happen? They were supposed to be prepared for all of this! And how the hell did I climb up this thing? I can't climb...I'm afraid of....oh great." Entaru wrapped his arms tightly around the pole as he shut his eyes, remembering his horrible fear of heights.
"HELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
-
Out of nowhere, the massive blue truck filled with thugs crashed into a drug store...but not before plowing though the hoard of zombies that were about to eat a helpless scientist clinging to a pole. Sam, Pink, and White opened the doors in a state of delirum. "Jesus, Sam, you had the whole road to drive through!" He said while picking shards of bloody glass out of his foerhead. "Well then maybe you shoulda drove you bafoon." Sam retorted. Pink caught sight of the scientist clinging to the pole. "Who's this guy?" He asked, rubbing his head and looking over at him. The three sharp dressed men stood and looked at him. "Hey!...What the hell are you doin'!? Sam yelled over at him. White was straightening his tie while one could see that his white dress shirt had been stained in his own blood. "We don't have time for this crap. Let's go." White began to walk away down the street. Pink looked at Sam, then at White, then at the scientist, then back at Sam. "C'mon man, we have to find Joe." He said before jogging off after White. Sam just looked at the scientist. "Yeah..." He said before walking off after Pink. He looked back at the scientist clinging to the pole one more time. "You coming?"

Shannon cautiously advanced down the street, ducking in alleyways when there was a zombie in the street, and trying not to make too much sound.
Good thing she read the Zombie Survival Guide very thoroughly. She was a fanatic for zombie fictions, but now that its happening, all the fun of a zombie invasion was blwon out of the water.
When she went to duck down in the alleyway, there were surprisingly zombies, so instead she advanced to the roadblock that automatically rose at certain points in the day. Scanning the littered vehicles for any living people, she saw one possible. A smashed storefront with a van inside, and a woman seeming to be in a lot of pain.
The zombie survival guide warned against this kind of risky behavior, but she couldn't just let someone die. Jogging over she knelt down and noticed the woman (self sain) was indeed alive, albeit bleeding.
"I dont know how... but i'm gonna get you out"
-
Seth Hid in a dark alley, he had watched the news, heard about the zombies, and he crouched there thinkin of his escape plan, he was in the middle of a thought when a girl ducked into the same alley as him, she hadn't seen him yet as he was farther back, He couldn't risk revealing him self just yet so he stayed back and decided to trail her, see if he could trust her and then group up, possibly work together to escape.
-
*Investigating further he found a couple corpses in the maintainance closet with scrawls on the walls of vertical lines and crosses diagonal through each set of four vertical lines* "Hmm... if they stayed in here it wouldn't make sense for them to be dead without the supplies already being out." *He looked at a darkened brown stain on the wall and a couple of shell casings on the floor along with a 9mm handgun in the hands of one of the dead bodies* "Suicide." *He started to reach for the gun until he noticed something strange about one of the bodies* "Crap." *He backed away noticing that one of the bodies was reanimating* *He gripped the hammer on his gun as he held it now and looked around, quickly grabbing a 2 liter bottle of soda and dumping it onto the floor, tossed the lid aside and put the compareably oversized bottle onto the barrel of his gun and aiming for the head of the undead opponent now moaning unintelligible words* "That's probably a cry for help, better end this quickly. A self-improvised silencer, it won't be enough to quiet the shot completely, but it will help better than nothing." *He fired twice, making a hole on the other end of the bottle and causing it to fly off into the closet with the body struggling for a moment and then going limp again, he closed the door and left the dead to rest*
*He looked out the window and saw that there were only a couple of zombies as far as he could tell and then grunted as he picked up the shelf and set it down quietly out of the way of the entrance door, making sure to quietly open the door and look both ways before exiting, and made his way down the sidewalk trying not to attract to much attention to himself by moving slow* "Maybe some Shaun of the Dead tactics will work here to blend in?" *At least Max Strider had hoped as he cautiously made his way to another area of the city, while trying to stay towards city limits incase an escape was needed*
-
Nasial tired to see if she could pull out some glass, she bit her lips as she pulled a large piece out, then she saw something in the coroner of her eyes and let out a loud scream. Then she realised it was just a girl, "sorry... umm, you see that knob on the door, twist it, the door should pop right off" she said as she undid her seat belt.
-
"Oh god, oh god, this was a bad idea," puffed Bill as he slowed to a jog out into the streets. He had forgotten how much he was carrying before he started to run, making him wheeze for breath very quickly. Luckily, the alarm was attracting most of the zombies instead of him so he had little resistance to work against. Clumsily swinging his bat at those that grabbed at him, it did little to stop their assault on him. Wrestling with the zombies on him, he found their strength, even with him weakened by fatigue, to be quite strong. One of them went for his neck, as a vampire would, but luckily his shoulder guards he was wearing protected his neck from their gnawing teeth. Being extremely exausted from keeping them back, he was about to give up, when he saw about a block away, a man walking slowly across the intersection (White Wolf). "Hey! Hey you! Help me!" He hoped the man heard him, and hoped even more that he would help.
-
"Uh, yes...just a moment!" Entaru began to scale his way down the pole. It was slow going but at least it was progress. At around the halfway point he heard a resounding crunch from inside the pole. He felt the wood in his grip suddenly come free from the pole and gulped in fear as he felt gravity shift from his feet to his back.
"Oh ****...." Entaru fell to the corpse littered ground with a crunch of his own. From the sound, he could have sworn he had broken his ribs....until he realized that he had landed on somone else's ribs. 'Something' to be exact. Removing himself from his zombie landing pad, Entaru sprinted to the group who had..."saved" him.
"Thank you very much for that...I hate heights."
-
A smile crossed Sam's face. "Yeah, no problem." He'd crashed the truck on purpose to help him out. But he didn't think anyone would ever find out. Sam may have been a man of violence, but he was also a man of decency. Both Mister White and Pink looked back at the scientist with distrust and concern. Neither of them said a word to the one in the labcoat but all four of them walked. The streets seemed quiet now. The screaming had died down and the people disappeared. For now, it was only the shard dressed and the scientist. After a few minutes of walking Sam finally broke the silence. "What's your name anyway?" He asked, looking back at the labcoat walking after them.

"Well i would, but your door caved in quite a bit, I don't think it would budge."
Shannon took some time to think,, and glanced at the back of the van, the trunk may be intact. Going over, she inspected it with a good once over, and found it was still intact. With a good tug, she opened the trunk up and crawled inside the wrecked van and offered her hand to the bleeding woman.
-
Seth finally noticed that the girl he had been trailing was trying to help out a woman, bleeding, in her crashed car. He decided these people were no threat and it would be better if they all stuck together. Out of a dark alley a zombie ran towards the van, the girl hadn't noticed.
"H-hey!"
Seth sprinted forward, his years as a thief allowing him to intercept the zombie, he pulled out his big hunting knife and sliced the zombie's chest. Seth stepped backwards, expecting the zombie to fall, but when it came back at him he was ready,
It's a zombie Duh, course it wont die form a little cut like that.
Remembering the many zombie movies he had seen Seth sidestepped and stabbed the zombie in the neck, twisting the blade then pushing it backwards, severing the head from the body. He turned around towards the girl in the van "Uhm... My names Seth"
-
*Spinning around with two revolvers in each hand firing towards the zombie crowd, Max blew some minds as the zombies went from undead to dead, falling to the ground in a brain mess, until only a few were left and his guns were empty* "14 shots... come on GET UP!" *He yelled across the street* "That guy just put me in a lot of trouble, destroying my perfect disguise, now I have to finish what he started and get out of here, because now this whole place is going to be covered in undead from the noise that I just HAD to make in just a few minutes. Better be worth my time."
*The gunman kept his distance just in case the other survivor couldn't handle the last couple of zombies*
-
Nasial looked as the girl came in, but then the guy caught her attention, 'i need to get the hell out of here', she thought to her self. She grabbed her feel good pills, and started to make her way out of the van. She popped in some pills, grinding them down as she served the area.

With the immediate zombies taken care of by the stranger, Bill got to his feet as quickly as he could, hoping his adrenaline would last just a bit longer. Removing his second bat from his bag, he swung at the closest zombie's head, knocking it clean off its shoulders, and proceeded to bash the rest of them into the pavement. Feeling his arms getting tired, he sat down on the curb, breathing heavily. He looked over to the stranger and waved him over. Anyone who can pick off zombies like that is worth having around, or at least befriending. "Hey! Thanks! Would you mind helping me up? My adrenaline rush wore off."

The dragon chameleon had been in the institution when the plague had broken out. There wasn't much she could do, though, as she was stuck inside her white room with no way of getting out. One of the nurses, in a desperate attempt to save some of the patients, had began unlocking the doors until the other nurses and the head doctor had pulled a mutiny against her, claiming that most the people here were criminals. She had been stopped one door previous to Rigor's. She cursed under her breath, being deprived of the freedom she needed to survive. The corridors had long since fallen silent, everyone pretty much scattering, leaving most patients to fend for themselves unless they had been let out by the crazed nurse's antics. Rigor slid down the wall of her cell and sat against the wall adjacent to the door. At this point there wasn't really anything she could do. The windows were reinforced, so as much as she had tried to break them with her little white dresser, it did little damage to the window itself. There wasn't very much in her room; they had taken out practically anything that she could hurt anyone with due to past experiences with other patients. She was growing more and more frustrated as the hours passed, knowing the keys had been dropped one door down. Practically two feet away from where she now set if there were some magical way to take away the walls. As much as she hated people, she needed someone's help.

"Dr. Entaru Korin, I'm a medical examiner. I was brought in from a nearby hospital to help with casualties of the virus. Unfortunately, the morgue I was working in was overrun very quickly, as you can imagine." He was lying of course...and it was a good lie. The government set up his backstory perfectly if he was ever caught. Even the hospital had phony records of him, just in case. "What about you?"
-
"I'm Sam. That there's Mr. White, and Mr. Pink." He said, pointing at the other two thugs ahead of him. "Why don't you tell him we rob banks for God's sake!? Pink exclaimed. "Hell, why don't you tell him our real names while your at it!" White turned around and slapped Pink upside the head. "Shuddup." He said, lighting up a cigarette. They walked the empty streets while sirens and screaming blared in the distance. "I don't like d'is." White said, stopping to look around. He was old for someone like him, his hair white with age and wrinkles around his eyes but he was a man in his late 50s and planned for this to be his last job. White placed his hands on his hips and stared down at the pavement. Suddenly he picked up a suitcase from off the floor and thre it through the nearest window in a fit of rage. "Dammit!!!" He screamed. "How the hell could this have happened!?" He yelled. Pink walked over to the police cruiser from which White had thrown the suitcase through. Static fuzzed over the radio from inside the car while the cop with his throat torn out held it in his palm. Pink reached inside and took hold of the shotgun from between the seats. He was careful about it though, as if not to wake the dead police officer. He inspected the weapon and counted the shells. Suddenly, the police officer's body came to life in a fit of rage, lashing out at Pink from inside the car. "AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! *BAM!* The cop's head was blown clean off where the body came to rest again in the seat. Smoke billowed from the end of Pink's shotgun. White and sam looked over in slight horror. Pink looked back at them. "DID YOU SEE THAT!?"
White looked back at Pink with frustration. "Enough! We have to keep moving or we're dead. You understand?" At the same time, blood continued to drip from White's forehead. He dabbed it with his hand. Sam finally spoke. "You need to get yourself cleaned up." Sam looked across the street to a big building with a hospital like symbol on it. "Maybe we can find something in there. Pink looked at him like he was stupid. "Are you nuts!? That's a crazy house you idiot! That ain't a hospital!" White took a drag from his cigarette. "Sam's right. I'm going blind as it is. C'mon it's worth a shot...and maybe Doctor Korin here can help me out." He said to Entaru. Pink was shaking his head and Sam was already on his way into the building.
Once inside, the crew of four looked around. The halls were quiet and it looked deserted. "Look for anything useful. We don't got all day." Pink scanned the place with his eyes. "This place gives me the creeps. There's probably crazies in here now!" Sam sighed. "Well maybe they can point you in the right direction then, Pink, you panzi." "Shuddup!" White yelled. "Doc, you come with me. Sam and Pink, you two split up and we'll meet back here in 5 minutes. If you aint here you're on your own." Pink nodded while Sam lit up a cigarette before turning away.
Sam picked his hallway of choice and made his way down it. It looked like a cell block. The big heavy doors from which he entered were unlocked and left open. He casually walked while he smoked. Every once in a while peering into the cells to see if there really were crazies in there. He kept on his way when he felt something crunch under his foot. He looked down to see a set of keys on the floor.
-
Nasial looked as the girl came in, but then the guy caught her attention, 'i need to get the hell out of here', she thought to her self. She grabbed her feel good pills, and started to make her way out of the van. She popped in some pills, grinding them down as she served the area.
The girl with the pills stumbled, and almost collapsed from the sudden jolt from leaving the van. Shannon ran forward and caught her, underneath one arm. But then she saw the boy dispatch the zombie in a rather messy fashion.
"Careful lady, you're bleeding a lot and there's a hospital nearby, just please don't randomly freak out until we have you bandaged up" she said, hefting the woman's weight.
"Well Seth, this isn't exactly a great place to meet and greet,, too many walking corpses around. How about we talk at the hospital and after we bandage this woman up?" she offered, then began to move Nasial and herself in the direction of Cantemore Hospital.
-
Seth scanned around and saw the hospital the woman had mentioned. "Ah, ok." He helped carry the injured woman and walked to the hospital, searching everywhere for zombies.
-
*Hesitating for a moment the silent Max walked over while looking around many times with with one pistol and a free hand to grab Bill's hand* "Let's go, we're compromised and soon we'll be undead if we don't get out of here, I'd rather be dead in that case. The name's Cpt. Strider by the way sir." *After getting Bill up he quickly moved towards the opening through some wrecked cars towards the city limits* "We're going to be swarmed in a few minutes, best thing to do is go to the countryside, less chance of confrontation with the undead as they tend to stay in urban places as it is best for them to survive. You can do as you wish." *He thought to himself as he turned around to keep walking* "It's dangerous to be alone, but the city is proving to be too much of a risk. This civilian can hold his own though in case he's planning on trying his luck here."
-
Nasial felt dizzy she could fell her self slipping, 'dang not good' she just hoped they make it to the hospital soon
-
Picking up his other bat that he dropped he yelled after the Captain, "Hey! Wait for me!" He began to walk after the captian, not having recovered fully from his attack. This was a golden opportunity here, a Military Captain is bound to know how to survive 'behind enemy lines'. "Thanks again for saving me Captain. My names Bill. Would you mind if I tagged along with you sir? Ill let you use my 2nd bat?"
-
Rigor's ears perked when she heard footsteps, then the crunching noise nearby. It sounded like they keys. She stood up after what seemed like ages and peered outside the small square slot that was on her door to see a fox. She knew he might notice her, so she remained silent, merely watching the keys. Her vision eventually crept to the fox himself. She was sure to make sure did not look like the others outside. But even so, had he been like those that were attacking, he wouldn't have noticed the keys, or been very quiet when he came in.
-
Entaru followed Mr. White cautiously. "We should try to find the storage area. It'll have valuable medicine we can use, as well as barter with. You'd be surprised what people would give up for a small bottle of morphine and a syringe." Entaru began checking doors and rooms to find the storage area. He figured he could at least find something strong enough to knock out his 'companions' should they decide to turn on him.
"Ah, here we go. Medical Storage!" Entaru tried the handle. It was locked. "Blast it...Mr. White, would you mind taking care of this for me?"
-
White looked at Entaru. "Sure thing, Doc. Stand back." he drew his pistol from the inside of his jacket. He aimed and fired at the lock on the door. The sound of the gunshot resinated off the walls in the hallway. The door hung loose from it's hinges. White reholstered his weapon with a smile.
Meanwhile, Pink whipped around to hear the sound of the gunshot. He pointed his shotgun in the direction of the sound. "White!?...Sam!?" He ran down the hall in the direction of the gunfire. "I'm coming guys!!!"
Sam looked back when the gunshot reached his ears. He chuckled and shook his head before reaching into his pocket and lighting up another cigarette. When he snapped his lighter shut, he took the first drag and looked around the hallway. His eyes wandered as they scanned the halls for something interesting. Nothing was there. Sam knew it. He exhaled a cloud into the air above him and looked back down at the keys before bending down and picking them up. He took a step forward and froze. His glance quickly turned to the cell next to him. He could have sworn he saw a pair of eyes. He didn't say anyting, he only narrowed his eyes and took another drag from his smoke. With his hand on his pistol, he took a step closer. "Hey...someone in there?" He asked, looking at the slit in the doorway.
-
With Seth's help, Shannon dragged the wounded woman to the hospital without getting assaulted by zombies. Raiding the medicial closets, she eventually managed to find some bandaging and some painkillers.
"Well this isnt gonna be a perfect job, but it should stop the bleeding and pain."
-
Seth stood by the door, sticking his head out to examine the hallways. "This appears to be a psychiatric ward or something, a crazy house." Suddenly there was noise, so faint Seth thought he imagined it. "I think someone or something's out there... I heard a noise...."
-
*Max Strider eyed the bat for a moment, apparently some thought going through the back of his mind* " No thanks. I use pistols and when in doubt..." *He slapped his hand on his back* "..the rifle comes in handy, but I let Smith and Wesson do most of the talking. Nice to meet you Bill, now I want to go over this just once. If you are bitten, I will not hesitate to kill you, I'll give you an hour if you are infected and I'll make it quick. The same goes for me, in which case you'll need this for that occasion." *He handed the survivor a revolver with 7 bullets already loaded* "Save one bullet if you are in an inevitable situation or for me in case of infection. I hope you will not betray me though, I am quick on my trigger finger." *He turned around and kept walking forward on the cramped exit highway out of the city*
-
"Th-" she didn't exactally know what to say, "thanks" she finally said. Between the fell good pills, and the bandages that the girl applied, she was feeling a lot better, she attempted to stand on her own, but between the feel good pills, irony she thought to her self, a d blood losses she was dizzy, she sat back down. "Umm... my name is Nasial"
-
Bill eyed the gun the captain had just given to him. He had never held a gun before and wasn't quite sure how to use it. He put it into his duffel bag anyway as he had no pockets to put it in. "Thanks for the gun Captain. The feelings mutual by the way, but dont you think we should stay in the city in case someone comes for us? I do have a radio we can use to listen for any rescue broadcasts."
-
"Yeah. How's about putting those keys to use?" she hissed. She had grown tired of being in the cell. More than usual, probably because there wasn't anyone else around. She again paced the room and returned to the slit, peering out at the fox. "Believe it or not there's a window in here. I don't want to be a happy meal for one of those things." She was becoming increasingly irritated that he hadn't already jammed the keys in the door, but she soothed herself with the pacing.
-
Entaru stood unphased as Mr. White blasted the door open. "A little crude...but effective. Thank you Mr. White." Walking in, he immediately began rummaging through the cabinents and pocketing prescriptions passively. After stuffing a few syringes into his coat he turned to Mr. White with a slight smile. "That should do it...let's meet back up with the-" Entaru's face dropped at the same time as his sentence as he quickly pulled out his pistol and aimed at the zombie behind Mr White.
"MOVE!"
-
Without hesitation, White dove to the cover of the floor and threw his hands over his head.
Meanwhile, Mr. Pink was having an issue of his own. he got himself lost in the long hallways. "Guys!!!???"
Sam flinched and fell against the wall opposite to the cell door. "Holy Jesus!...What the hell, you trying to scare everyone that passes by here or something?" He moved forward to pick up the keys from off the floor. He fumbled with them in his fingers and took a stab at which key belonged to the lock. The lock clicked when he turned the key.
-
Seth continued to hear noises. His ear perked up as he listened. "It... sounds.... english?" Seth looked back at the two. "Stay here for a moment, I'm going to see whats going on. If im not back in a while, just move on without me." Seth poked his head out from the doorway and looked in both directions, he slipped out and moved slowly left, his big knife in his hand, his history as a thief making his footsteps silent.
-
*He turned around abruptly to give a blank expression to Bill* "I think you as well as me should know that playing hero is a very bad idea when we have less of a bullet count than the undead among us. I was going to try approaching the city from another side, it's a mess already and the zombies will now be in the area we are leaving, that's also kind of why it's not safe to keep talking about this." *He moved a bit faster towrads the road* "I just hope they don't get any brilliant ideas like coming out of the city. I read that one Zombie Survival Guide book awhile back, supposedly these freaks should stay in urban locations. Are you going to stay here then?"
-
"Wait don't leave" Nasial stretched out her arm, causing her to squint in the pain, "crap", she looked around the room, she didn't know what to do know. "Hey I'm going to call my firend to see if he is at his place, we could probably get some weapons there" she said to the other girl. She used a hospital phone, which ironically still worked, "Dang no answer, but that also means that the place might not of been raided"
-
"Heck no!" said Bill. "All I meant was that, ugh nevermind, forget I said anything." Bill wasn't in the mood to argue with the man who saved his life and had a gun. Bill swung at a nearby zombie in frustration, making a sickening crunch sound as the bat connected with its head. Bill decided he'd better charge up the radio/flashlight now just in case. Pulling it out of the backpack, he put away his bat, ready to pull it out at any time.
-
"One can dream." The dragoness muttered, indifferent of whether or not the fox heard her. As soon as the door unlocked, she flung it open, happy to be out. Her clothing suggested a patient, not a doctor tricked into the cell. She wore a loose white T-shirt and a pair of white shorts with numerous hospital bands hanging around her wrists. There had to be at least 15 between both of her arms. She looked the fox over one more time. "Thanks. Now what's going on out there?"
-
Entaru fired and the bullet flew true between the zombie's eyes. Mr. White felt the bullet barely brush against the tips of the fur on his hands as he dropped. The zombie hit the ground, limp, almost exactly at the moment Mr. White was fully crouched.
"Sorry about that...I'm surprised I actually hit the bugger."
-
White looked up at Entaru then back at the zombie that lay behind him. "Thanks, Doc! That was a close one." He got up and dusted himself off and straightened his necktie. At that moment, Pink slid into the doorway. "Oh thank God I found you guys." He looked down at the dead zombie that Entaru had destroyed. "Oh my God, you guys alright?" White looked at him. "We're super. C'mon we got what we need. Where's Sam?"
Meanwhile, Sam looked at the dragoness who was now free of her cell. "The end of the world." He replied. "C'mon stick with me. We got to meet back with the others." He took a final look down the hall and nodded at the patient before turning around and jogging off down the hallway.
-
Shannon began to protest as the two left her, but they were already gone. Sighing she went back into the medical closet and adhered some gloves and a mask. Who knows what she would have to poke through, and there was a stench of rotten meat, and the surgical mask helped deter it, to a degree.
Looking around she took a left from the lobby, hearing moans and seeing a bodylittered hallway. Backing away slowly she ran behind the reception counter and nearly threw up.
-
Seth peeked behind a corner, there was a big white cell door open, this was where he had heard the noises. "Probably some maniac out of his his cell" Seth muttered Cant have a loon with us, who knows what they might do. He thought. He jogged his way back to the supply closet with no regard for stealth anymore, his shoes clattering on the smooth floor and doing his best to ignore the moans and the smell.
-
"Good now I can start moving a lot faster, hopefully you like moving fast. The plan is that we circle around the city by taking this highway and cutting across the open area until we get to a more appropriate entrance to this area since the zombies should be distracted to the urban zone we were just in. Though you never know if you'll find wandering zombies out here, be very careful Bill and watch for anywhere these abominations could hide like even nearby cars. I have yet to meet some more intelligent ones, but there is always the possibility that they could learn to use conventional weapons since they take a fancy to emulating their previous selves." *As he talked he found what he considered a safe distance from the city perhaps about a mile outside the city limits and started walking towards a distant entrance highway exit that was perhaps 10 or so more miles*
-
"I'm going to go look for that guy, so we can leave to go look to see if my friends wear house is still open" She said as she grabbed a needel, not knowing what she could do with it, she just focused on what she could do with it. She started to run, but then felt aa little quesy, untill turning the corner, and bumbed into some one and falling down.
-
"You know what they say Captain, Zombies hate fast food," he chuckeled at his own joke. Figuring his radio was sufficiently charged, he stowed it back in his bag and withdrew both bats. Keeping his eyes open for hiding zombies, he followed closely behind the captain.
-
Rigor seemed caught off guard at the fox's comment... "Others?" She uttered, following closely behind him, her eyes shifting. Although she was moving at a quick pace, she seemed like a ghost, hardly making noise as she walked. She wondered if the fox may have felt it odd that she seemed to respond more strongly at the suggestion of others rather than the fact that the world was ending. As far as she was concerned it always had been. Others meant trouble... Mainly greed, instability, and she couldn't have that... But curiosity gripped her.
-
"There he is!" Entaru pointed down the hallway to the jogging Sam. Then movement behind him caught his eye. He couldn't see quite what it was but it seemed to be chasing him. "And it looks like he has company!" Entaru fired a round at the chaser's direction, not realizing it to be another survivor.
-
Sam flinched and jumped to the floor when he saw Entaru pull the gun. He was even more frightened when he heard him fire it. He couldn't believe it. It took him a while to realize he hadn't been shot. "What the hell are you doing!? Stop shooting!!! He screamed from the ground. "She's with me!" He yelled to his crew. He was talking about Rigor. He was worried to look back on the ground. He was almost certain Entaru had shot her.
"What the hell was that!?" Mr. Pink yelled to Entaru. He was about as confused as Entaru was. Even Pink was about to blow Rigor away.
-
Seath heard a gunshot. "what in the..." He ran towards the noise, Yelling was emanating from down the hall. "Hey?! whos there?!"
-
*The wolf stopped at another entrance highway peering inside, not seeing any moving targets as of yet, he talked low to Bill, but not low enough to be a whisper* "Okay since I can do distance attacks, we can use your close up tactics to an advantage. My plan is that if there is any zombies, you carefully enter first and if there are actually undead present they will probably reveal themselves rather quickly, so you would then attack what you could without compromising yourself Bill and then run out here into the open and I'll use my ammo on them. Don't get too confident, but if you don't want to approach first I will instead. If the situation here is too packed, we try another location until we get inside the city. Deal, no deal?" *He kept his eye on the entrance while he was talking then checked both of his revolvers to double-check that they were full* "I knew they were, but I can be forgetful, best not be a fatal error."
-
When she looked up, she screamed as she went to her feet and started to run away, it looked like a zombie, but there was something off about it, she just hoped it couldn't run faster then her.
-
Bill looked down the highway, there were a lot of hiding places for zombies down there. Max could double cross him and shoot him by "accident", but if he wanted him dead, he wouldn't have saved him earlier. "Alright. Don't be afraid to yell if you see one sneaking up on me." Bill slowly walked into the fray, both bats drawn, ready to strike at any moment.
-
The dragoness ducked when she noticed Sam doing the same, being startled after hearing a gunshot go off, but the bullet had been faster and tagged her in the shoulder. "Goddamnit!" she growled, her arm instantly taking to her shoulder. "This is one reason why I don't like guns..." she continued to growl, dropping down and digging into the wound with her claw. "That's all we need are a bunch of paranoid trigger-happy idiots with an arsenal bigger than the damn sky is blue." She wasn't quite thinking about everyone else's feelings, but she didn't think she had to given one of them has just shot her. She found the bullet and quickly tossed it to the floor as if it were the plague of the world.
-
"Sorry about that....can't be too careful you know. Just be glad I twitched to the right." Entaru lowered his gun and walked over to the dragoness. Kneeling down, he looked at her shoulder. "Ah...you should be fine. I can suture it if you want...I would suggest you take the offer. Any infected blood gets in there and you'll wish I hadn't missed.
-
White facepalmed. "Dammit, Sam! Eevrytime you go off alone you always seem to come back with another person. What the hell?" Sam looked back at him and narrowed his eyes. "Well I couldn't just leave her here you old bastard." Pink had his hand over his face in frustration. "Okay guys, so we've got more people to slow us down with. What's next?" White tossed a cigarette away. "We find Joe over by the mall across town."
-
Seth gave up on chasing the noise and decided to go back to the little room where the injured woman was.
-
*After a long wait later, the captain checked up on Bill* "Anything out there besides you? Way is clear, zombie horde imminent, isolated citizens?" *He tapped his foot impatiently for a response* "I don't like standing in one spot for very long, life these days is more like a videogame with how long you'll last standing still for too long ingame."
-
Shannon stepped out from behind the counter, hand on her chest, and still feeling sick. She moved to where she saw Seth went and begin to look for him.
"Seth? Seth where are you" she called out, but then she heard moans and the shuffling of feet. a few zombie nurses, their bodies scarred beyond belief with exposed spinal cords and femurs, and their flesh looking unusually decayed, or was it torn apart?
Shannon willed herself to run, but her feet remained anchored in place.
"Why can't I move!?" she thought to herself, so she did the only thing that could possible save her.
She screamed for help.
-
"The cars are piled up too much down the road. We can't get through." Bill walked back through the mess. "It's strange though. There was no zombies. No bodies either. This ramp is completely deserted." Bill sat down on the trunk of a nearby car. He sighed as the thought about the day. Zombies. He never thought it'd actually happen. "Now what'll we do?"
-
"It's okay..." She said, still holding her shoulder eying the man with some skepticism. She never liked doctors due to her current predicament, especially when they had needles or syringes. Her striped purple tongue slipped out of her mouth and licked around her finger, depositing a little bit of greenish drool. She rubbed it onto the wound and it started to slowly close up. "You can still wrap it, however." She said, still not liking the fact that she had to allow him to do that. She'd do it herself, but she was sure her wrappings would be crude and not as sufficient. "I know I want a weapon." She said, looking them all over. She looked around the room looking for something she could use. "I'm not partial to guns unless I have something that sprays like a shotgun. My aim is no good."
-
Entaru wrapped the wound, somewhat disgusted but intrigued at the strange regeneration. "How interesting...when we get to safety I'll have to figure out how you did that. As for weapons..." Entaru looked to Sam and the others. "...I suggest you talk to them. All I have other than the pistol is a flare gun...pretty much worthless."
-
Pink quickly tossed the dragoness the police shotgun he'd stolen ealier. "Take mine. Damn thing gets heavy after a while. Watch it though, you only got 5 shells left." White bent down and pulled out a .38 Special revolver from his ankle holster before tossing it to Pink. "Here. Take my side. Conserve the ammo, these are the only weapons we got." Sam's ears pricked upward. "You guys hear that?" Faint screaming echoed in the hallway.
-
Seth turned the corner at the same time of the scream, only to see Shannon, frozen in place with mangled zombies heading for her. Seth stood there in shock for a moment, then took out his big knives and quietly sneaked up behind the zombies, who had not seen him since their backs were turned. Suddenly he let loos his blade upon the first one's neck, slicing it clean off. The zombies had heard this by now, but Seth moved quickly to dispatch the next one before it could fully turn. Their heads were easy to remove, his serrated blade and their weakened and decayed vertebrae made this and easy kill. the last one stood their, fully alerted of his presence. Seth took out his knife and poised it, ready to strike. " Shannon! You ok?!"
-
"It would seem the coast is clear, thanks for checking it out for me Bill. Now what would you like to do? There's several roads we could take and several buildings we could check, but some probably more wise a choice than others, your call on this one since I seem to have a knack for finding bad luck." *He retrogressed back upon the base he had left behind for a moment in thought* "There's the road on the left, right, and forward. A radio control tower, an apartment complex, and a small grocery store. Personally I would avoid the apartment complex, there's bound to be plenty of stragglers of zombies just waiting for a nice treat to come waltzing in."
-
Bill thought the options over. Since the apartments were out of the question, his two best choices were food or call for help. "I say we head to the grocery store. Any help that would come via the radio is probably turned anyway. Besides, we can't survive forever without food." Bill noticed a large group of zombies heading their way from the street on the right. "Oh great. Let's get moving before they get here." Bill motioned to the group at Max.
-
Rigor awkwardly held the gun, her ears twitching as she heard the scream. She had indeed heard it, but she didn't want to admit to it. Like they needed more people in their little group... She desperately wanted to play it off as if she hadn't heard anything, but judging by the attitude of them being so accepting to her presence, she was sure they wouldn't go along with leaving whoever was screaming. She was actually somewhat surprised they hadn't been uneasy of her yet given the fact they had just broken her out of a mental ward. In her mind, one more person meant having to share supplies, risk getting attacked to save whoever it is, possibly having to deal with them being infected, the list went on. She had a scowl on her face, in response to Sam's question.
-
ittle did he know, but Entaru was agreeing with Rigor in his mind. The fact that he was traveling with this group of hooligans was bad enough, but they seemed determined to save everyone they found. Sure there was strength in numbers, but that strength quickly turns to vunerability when most don't know how to defend themselves. His only plan was to get back to base as quickly as possible with a specimen.
I can't very well get a specimen if they shoot every zombie that comes close...or can I? Entaru felt a grin begin to grow on his face, which he quickly hid. As Dr. Seuss put it...if he couldn't find a one, he'd make one instead.
"It came from down here! C'mon!"
-
shannon was frozen in place for a few seconds then collapsed to the ground.
Why had she frozen up in fear? She'd seen zombies before hasn't she?
"No... those are just movie zombies... these are real" she thought to herself as she tried to fight the rising in her throat.
-
Sam, Pink and White had all followed after Entaru. White was getting upset that their plan to meet up with their boss was constantly being stalled or interrupted. Yet, he trusted in his men despite Pink's unusual behaviour. Sam was usually calm and composed...from what he could tell atleast. He couln't understand why Sam was so moral and ethic based. He'd only known him since he was chosen for the job which really made him wonder why Joe would pick someone who had a problem with killing bystanders - or saving them.
-
Seth Sidestepped the other one and decapitated it with his knife, which he twisted around in the process. Seth grabbed Shannon and shook her just a little. "Hey? You ok?" Seth asked, Shannon stared in silence. "Oh man..." Seth picked up Shannon and tried to carry her, he could move, but he moved slowly. His eyes flicked around the room, looking for danger.
-
"Sounds good to me, that mini mart from earlier had nothing good except a bunch of overpriced preservative food..." "Not that the price matters now, just glad I don't have to buy those $5 four packs of AA batteries anymore." "..anyways let's go quickly." *He loaded up both of his pistols resisting to shoot and ask questions later, Max ran quickly in the opposite direction* "We need to make sure those zombies don't see us get in that store Bill otherwise we won't be able to stay there for very long." "Also perhaps a fatal ending to this increasingly lengthened venture."
-
Bill ran behind Max, his bat at the ready for any resistance. He ate a while ago, but he was starting to get hungry again. All this running and zombie killing must have worked up his appetite. "How do you propose we get in unseen? I've tried just walking like one of them, but that doesn't work. I was thinking just burst inside and grab what we can." Zombies were now lurching in their direction from all sides. Bill stopped to swing at a few, spraying blood everywhere from his blows. He began to jog again towards the grocery store. "Hey, at least this is a great stress reliever right?"
-
Although she didn't agree, she followed them anyway. She tailed them, keeping an eye out behind them, ready for just about anything. She didn't really fear the zombies so much as the desperation of the people. She had already been shot once and there was no telling what this new person was capable of.
-
Alexei opened the back door of the building, hoping to find a shortcut through the streets.
He found himself in a large grocery store with much of the merchandise still on the shelves.
"Jackpot" He said to himself with a smile.
He had been travelling for quite a while now and he could already feel the hunger pangs setting in.
Laying down his crowbar, he headed to the nearest shelf and begain looking for non-parishable food items when he heard voices coming from the front of the store.
Expecting looters, he grabbed his weapon and begain to make his way to the front of the store.
-
Entaru led the group down the hall, trying to find the source of the scream. If he was lucky, the person would already be dead and walking. Just as long as he got behind the group before anything bit him. With another turn he found himself lost...with no clue as to where the scream came from. "Ummm...heh heh. I can't tell where the scream came from anymore."
-
White groaned. "We don't have time for this crap. We got to go. Entaru," He said looking in his direction. "Can we get out of here?" He asked looking around the maze of hallways. He turned in Rigor's direction. "You, you're familiar with this place, yeah? Where's the exit?"
Sam was uneasy. The bloodstained walls and the war torn environment was starting to get to him. He stayed quiet however and looked at both Rigor and Entaru as if for an answer.
-
Seth looked at his options, there was a exit down the hall, upstairs was out of the question, and a hallway branched off to the left from the hall. Seth carefully staggered through the hall, eyes flicking at every sound and shadow. At last he reached the door and was on the sidewalk, there were several cars abandoned on the street. "Good thing I can hotwire Seth said to himself. He went up to the nearest car, a green minivan still with personal belongings inside. He set Shannon down gently against the tire and picked the lock. Luckily no zombies spotted him as he entered the car and started it up. Shannon was still unconscious in the passenger seat, seat belted in. Seth slowly drove forward, unsure of what to do or where to go now.

*The wolf stopped suddenly at the cash registers of the abandoned grocery store* "Quiet Bill." *He scanned the expanse of the store* "It looks empty... wait a minute." *He heard what sounded like footsteps coming closer then whispered to his companion* "Let's stay right here until we know whether or not we aren't the only people here, from what I hear there's at least one visitor besides us to this location... *Max then thought to himself* It's hopefully not another zombie, since it seems uncommon for them to travel alone since their chances of survival are greatly lessened in that manner."
-
How does he know if there's another person here? Bill then heard the footsteps coming from the aisles. Oh, that's how. Bill knelt down, being careful not to let his bats touch anything, lest they alert whoever, or whatever is here to their position. He watched for any would be attackers that were coming from their back, ready to alert Max to any danger.
-
Alexei reached the front of the store and froze, he saw two men standing there, two men that could easilly beat him up and rob him.
On the other hand they didn't look like looters, perhaps they could help him.
He gripped his crowbar tightly and called out to them. "Who are you?"
-
Rigor shrugged when she noticed Sam looking at her, but pointed to the good doctor and began to follow him cautiously. Something about him made her uneasy.. Probably the fact that he was a doctor. She glanced down at her hospital bracelets then back up the doctor as she walked, her grip tightening on the trigger. If he was going to try anything funny, she would not hesitate to blow his head off. She knew the feeling was mutual.
-
Entaru could feel the atomsphere become uneasy as he tried to find the way to the exit. It was obvious that everyone realized that they knew nothing about eachother and their motives. Putting the issue in the back of his mind, he began following the various exit signs around the hospital knowing they would help him triangulate a way out. As he moved, he spoke to Sam and the others without looking at them. "She's not probably here by her will. If she saw the exit, it was probably because they wheeled her through it on the way in." He glanced back at Rigor slightly as if to say "Go ahead...prove me wrong"

"I never should have became a doctor...it is getting harder and harder to keep up with all patients going in and and not coming out..." Lukus was stationed in a temporary military outpost stationed out of some god-forsaken city. Lukus overheard one of the marines he was stationed with, "The superiors have been speaking of sending out a scouting team and scavenging for supplies and it looks like they are rounding people up right now." "Hey! You there! Lukus is it? Looks like you are going on a scouting mission," "Seems like they want you to hit up the local grocery store and the hospital for supplies." Lukus sighed, he wasn't meant for combat..."How many men are coming with me?" Lukus said. "Four men and you are their medic." The marine replied, "and it looks like you are shipping out now." Just as he said that several ragtag marine jogged on by motioned Lukus to them. A few minutes later the team found themselves in the middle of the city, however the street seemed empty of the undead. Lukus and the marines headed towards the grocery store with great caution.

Dark shadows played across Byu's face as she sat cross legged on a small mattress in her equally small room, the only light there was stemming from her laptop, propped open in front of her. The house had no electricity, which made sense as it wasn't hers to begin with. She was squatting there. Being a wanted woman, Byu had no way to formally do anything without raising red flags with the law. Even her laptop ran on battery packs. Currently, scrolling across the screen in bright green letters: Byu's DNA code. She studied it every day....she had to know what was wrong with her...what her father had done to her. On face value she was no different than any other human. The Chinese government had not pressured her after her short hospitalization. She had never sprouted wings or gained weirdo superpowers. She simply had one hell of a scewed up DNA pattern, with one DNA sequence that popped up very often between the usual CATs and TAGs....CYMK. Sometimes it would be broken up- CYAMK. But it was there.........Suddenly, something new popped up on her screen, interrupting Byu's obsessive studying of her own biology. An e-mail from an unknown client, first name Julie...the target in question, first name Entaru.

Shannon blinked, her vision fuzzy and shaky, but then her vision went back to normal, and she went to sit up, but then her insides disagreed with her again and her head was killing her. All she could feel was the bumps of the car just making it worse.
"Stop the (censored) car!" she yelled, her head feeling like it was being split open. She looked at the driver and saw it was Seth and regretted her rude shouting.
"Sorry, but my head is killing me! Just need a moment" she said, putting a hand to her forehead.
-
Seth started when Shannon suddenly awoke. "Oh good your ok!" Seth slowly pulled into a alley, out of sight. "What happened back there?"
-
"Not dead, how about yourself?" *He called out to the person in the shadows* "I suggest you also come closer so you don't have to speak loudly, there's plenty of things outside that could hear us if we are not careful." *He turned to Bill and said lowly* "I think we're safe for now... much better to increase our numbers." *He turned back in the direction of voice and waited for a reply*
-
Bill nodded to Max. He didn't necessarily like having more people around, but he owed Max for saving his life, so he went along with his plan. Turning back to the front of the store, he noticed that a few zombies were moving towards them, about 4 to be precise. "Uh Max, I don't think we should stay here much longer. They're starting to get closer."
-
She nodded in response to Entaru. "I've been in that room for a while, they don't let me out to play with the others. About the closest thing I know about finding an exit is what your friend is doing here," she said flatly, only realizing what she said until afterward. She continued to follow Entaru, hoping that they didn't take it as a motive for distrust, but she knew at some point it was going to happen if it hadn't already. They had already handed her a gun, after all. "The last nurse that was in here had let out everyone in the hall but me," she said, growling. Ahead was a stairwell. She looked above the door way of it, the exit sign above it, and the lights in the stairwell itself eerily flickering. "We going down there?" she said arching a brow and pointing at it with her gun.
-
Edit:
He didn't want to pass up the opportunity of having some people to help protect him so he approached the two.
"I suppose we're just going to have to wait to get food."
The zombies had slowly made their way inside the store and were closing in on them, he got in position next to the older looking one.
Raising his crowbar he struck the nearest zombie in the head sending it sprawling to the ground, he stood over it and swung at it's head one more time just to be sure.
He glanced over at the other two, eager to see how they handled themselves.

(alexi modify your post. No making Whie and Macid do anything they dont actually post. And since they didnt go combat ninja on the zombies, your post is invalid)
-
Entaru walked through the doorway. "I see no reason why we shouldn't." Entaru looked down the stairwell briefly before turning back around to the group. "Nevermind...scratch that thought and RUN!!!" Entaru bolted down the hallway as the stairwell began to echo with the wails of the undead coming up the stairs.
-
Lukus and the crew he was assigned to arrived at the grocery store with barely any walkers around which was odd for this size of city.
"Hold on you oafs, I think I hear talking ahead! Could be survivors." Lukus exclaimed
"Hey who are you to give us orders!" One of the soldiers said.
"I said shut it! It sounds as if they are in trouble. We had better get there quick!" Lukus said as he ran towards the store.
-
Byu prepares to leave to nab this target, this Entaru, not once feeling sure of the contractor's motives. This person, Julie, had apparently been close to Entaru for awhile, maybe he was her superior. She only claimed fear as a reason to ask for his murder....she feared something he was trying to do. Research, most likely, that needed to be put to an end....or maybe it could have been jealousy. Whatever the reason, Byu had gotten just enough information on her new target to pin down his very general location. She leaves her safe home, her borrowed home, and heads for her car, an almost family-model SUV. Yet.....something in the air seems wrong to her, and Byu stops for a moment to take a look around.
-
Seth kept waiting there in the dark, but then there was a noise from behind, it was a type of scratching. He looked behind and saw a zombie gnawing on the trunk of the car. He stepped on the pedal, out of the alley and into the street
-
"Friggin A, I don't need this crap right now." *Max put his gun away* "They aren't even worth my bullets." *He grabbed a few bags of potato chips and candy bars from a stand nearby himself and Bill* "Let's get the hell out of here." *He started running towards the exit and not really paying attention to what happened behind him* "They can stay and fight, but in this enclosed environment to fight a horde would be suicide, outside you can always keep moving, but in a store it could easily be a mouse trap."
