There's a documentary called "American Furry" in post production right now! It looks pretty great!
I don't know about you all, but i'm pretty excited for a documentary that doesn't create a negative stereotype of furries *cough* (MTV Sex2k) *cough*
-
what else do we know about it?
edit: http://rabbitholefilms.com/amfur/index.html link to film website

-
I'm interested as well, I like to watch documentaries. I hope this one sticks it to the media :P

cool cool. Something i'd watch. Not quite into doctumentaries and all. But I could use a break from criminal minds. it's like all i watch lately, so yeah. My mom wants something to wash the serial killer outta my head O_O. *reccomends movie to mom*

MTV did something about it?! O:
-LEGASP.-
-Google.-

if its on MTV it would be stupidity bias and stereotyped
but i havent heard of any thing about this yet
-
I am most definitely looking forward to this!!

FINALLY!!!! Maybe now we can start reversing all the negative perceptions society has of us. I was planning on bringing it up in my next novel, but I'm glad someone beat me to the punch in such spectacular fashion. While the written word is my chosen art form, this documentary will bring the issue to a much wider audience than a small little subplot in a novel.
-
It's not much of an issue. I feel it's like ke$ha,s music. Overdramitized.
-
then agein this might make us main stream and when most thing become main stream you get to may fakes that do it to be popular. do we really want that?
-
If furry became mainstream i'd abandon the fandom till it becamew unmainstream.
Mainstream stuff spits out too many spin off products and utter crap.
-
Going mainstream would be better than being mocked and reviled everywhere we go. (Slight exaggeration)
I guess I'm a bit more passionate about this because I recently discovered one of my friends was viciously anti furry.
-
My best friend started disliking me cause i'm furry. And a couple other issues =_="
if a person won't hang out with you cause of what you like then they aren't real friends. I mean, bleh. Mainstream is everything i viciously strive not to be :3
except in music. In music i'm all over dat.
-
*eye twitch* MUST SEE WHEN FILMED
-
If furry becomes mainstream, I'll just become closet furry. :P
But I WISH THEY'D HURRY UP ALREADY!!! xD
-
i have told pepole iam a furry and most dont know what one is, so i explain it to them. i havent worn my tail to school becuse i cant. but if this dose become main stream i wouldnt be good for us the fandom provide an escape from reality. be side if it dose become main strem we would have fake furs who know nothing else about the fandom rather then this is popular so they say iam a furry. then you have the real one who know what the fandom is and are real furrys.
