Ok so first this may contain religious nonsense, I am a battiest. Ok, so I'm all for freedom of religion, and I personally think Christan people are some of the worst in the world. There is some church or w/e that has announced the burning of a kuran. The Muslim bible if you will. I think that that is straight f'ed up and I think that if the Muslim population retaliated, they would be more then in titled to. Now if this was a bible, every one and there mom would of steeped in and stopped it, is that equality, is that noty racism, and discrimination...o and the best part is that friday is the start of a Muslim holiday.

And that is why I pretty much avoid any talk or anything with religion involved. Because there are those who will try to shove their religion down your throat and there are those that will destroy symbols of another religion just because it's not what they follow so they think it's wrong.

Religious extremists in general bug me. I am Christian, but I certainly don't go around shoving it down people's throats. Why not build a mosque in New York? Why burn the Kuran? It's sad to think how many ignorant people live in America.

the actual issue of the mosque thing is that their going to build it by the site of 9/11 that's why people detest it... And it is sad how many blatantly ignorant people live in this country...

I generally dislike these people to, another horrible Church is the Westboro Baptist Church, they're the crazy anti-gay ones. What's even worse is that they're ignoring their own holy books, they completely forget things like the Good Samaritan story and the second greatest commandment (The love everyone as yourself one).
Also I have no idea where the specific hate towards Muslims is either, they don't seem to be doing anything, a few insane fundies just went out and started hating them, and the arguments I hear from some of these people are utterly ridiculous.

As much as we detest it, the only reason these super extremist religious people can do as they do is BECAUSE of AMERICA
we gave EVERYONE the right to freedom of speech and religion.
Not that I like what those people are doing, but i tolerate it because its part of the Constitution we live by
now Hate crimes like slashing and publicly going violently against Muslims I cannot stand, trust me, I hate it too.
But dont think it's just Christrians doing this
every religion does this, its a simple part of Human Nature.
Also Christianity and Islam did not get along in the past before

Well one of the slightly more plausible but still totally dumb things I hear from the intolerant bigots is that in Islamic countries, the country is seriously ruled by the religion. The authorities will stone you for going against the religion, in fact they even do it when the Qu'ran says not to. Even though Islam says you have to maintain peace with everyone unless they go about trying to condemn you for your beliefs, some of the people over there come to the conclusion that after they ask you to convert if you don't then the people who reject Islam are against it, and they think they have permission to attack.
But like I said, it usually goes against the Qu'ran and it's not a good defense for the hateful people.

I'm no bigot, but Religion, no matter which is a powerful motivator to get the people to follow some leader or some other.

It is their freedom of speech, but just because you CAN say something dosn't mean that you SHOULD.
If that's what he want's to do, then he better be prepared for the backlash.

I'm christian, I beleive in god and all that. But I think killing someone or burning, stealing, or destroying the possesions they have, such as religious figures, is rong. And I do not go to church, but I do prey.

What I hate is that the government thinks they can settle complex international issues by sending a bunch of patriots to kill the patriots of another country which is doing likewise.

I agree DatFox. I may not agree with the causes of a war, and I may not agree with war itself, but people who are coragous enough to put themselves in harms way for their country, I really admire that, so... Yea.
