My ADHD is really severe and it is interfering with all of my life, I can't do anything without zoning out or thinking of something different. It makes me fail in grades and I am probably not going to get a good job...
it is making me really depressed.
to top that off I think My family found out I'm a furry, and my mother is an anti-fur
I'm starting to think about suicide...
-
*grabs Dats face* Suicide is NEVER the answer!!!! and I believe there is medicine for ADHD is there not? Give up the forums if your afraid of your mom finding out... But suicide is NEVER the answer!!!

Oh dear, dealing with any mental illness can be tough. D:
Have you seen a doctor about your ADHD? Even if it's your normal-everyday-doctor (as in not a therapist or what not) it might be wise to ask what's wrong.
They could probably help you, and lead you to help.
Also, if you are currently contemplating suicide, CALL a Crisis Center. They are private, and you don't even have to tell them your name if you don't wish too.
For the US:
1-800-273-8255
(If you don't live in the US, check this site for one in your country. http://www.befrienders.org/support/helplines.asp I would search and post the numbers myself for major countries but I'm not too sure how the phone numbers are formatted.)
911 (or your country's/state's local emergency number also works if you are SERIOUSLY going to do it. D:)
Also, if you want to rant out my inbox, it's always open ok? D: *huggles*

I used to be like you, i don't have ADHD but i have some problem where i am ALWAYS hyper.
My solution was just talk to a doctor, about suicide and ADHD. They have really good advice, surprisingly.
If you ever want to talk cause we have *Almost* the same problem my MSN is on my profile and my PM box could use a bit more messages.
I am always here Dat, Suicide never solves anything. ;)

See a doctor. As soon as possible. Try to get some councilling, talk to someone. I'm sure that your school should have someone in that line. On the line of furry, I hate to say this, but if your mum is against furries, she should be much more mature about her tolerances. Don't hide your furry stuff or whatever, if she starts asking - and she openly admits that she dislikes them - ask why, don't be afraid to voice your own opinion on the subject or question anothers, I mean, if they're questioning yours, isn't it only fair you get to ask them why they dislike?
That's really all I can say, try to detach yourself, try something new, something along those lines, but whatever you do, make sure you try to talk to a doctor about what's going on - any professional advice center will do, just try.
-
forgot to say, yesterday I asked her if she knew what a furry was, and she had no freakin clue XD
-
Well really, that's the point behind these things: trapping people behind mental walls where they can't say anything else will often clear them of an unjustified, uneducated opinion of something unless they're too stubborn.

First off, dude, seriously, don't do suicide.
Secondly, yes, doctor can help with this stuff, and psychiatrists.
I don't have ADD, but I do have a short attention span, the doctors thought I had it but I don't have the real disorder, but yeah, I have problems focusing, I find it's good to try to convince yourself that the things you need to focus on are really important, like for example school, if you keep looking at it like something you are doing compulsorily and think of it as a professor droning on boringly for an hour you're going to lose focus, but if you change your perspective to realize that it's learning and that this is something that will help you get better and become more skilled instead of just learning it for tests and forgetting you learn better.
And the fact that not so many people know what furries are is good.
I'm sure most people here on TFF will be happy to help you feel better. ^_^

I know a couple of people with ADHD and they are really fun people to be around. You just have to realize that everything has its good sides. That's why I don't call anything a "disorder". But yes, there are medicines that will help the part that keeps you from focusing and stuff. But don't try to change who you are as a person, or think life isn't worth it, because it is.
It's probably good that your mom hadn't been told by anyone yet what a furry is from their perspective, that way her first impression can be what you tell her it is. (If you don't tell her something, she'll probably look it up to find out, and run across some hate site.)
If you need to vent or talk about anything, my pm is always open too. *hugs*
