Title: And just when I thought there weren't any homophobes left...
Post by: Packedsnack on August 01, 2010, 06:52:10 AM
You know the type. The type of people who thumb through marvel comics to find pictures of ample bosomed female superheroes. The type that blame their own flambouyant farts on the nearest genuinely cool person. And most importantly, the type who you just can't argue with.

Last time I checked, we had wiped all the homophobes out with our lithium awesomeness bomb, but here they are again, still clumping in large groups and swearing uncreatively. This particular specimen was a tiny, skinny little boy I would usually encourage or help up to high places. But he threw away his humanity by clinging to larger homophobes and being the loudest of the lot. I don't much appreciate being called a "groddy ****" after he proudly breaks wind and points the finger at me as though he still goes to kindergarten, particularly when he pumps his head up enough to call me gay, to which I reply "Bisexual" and him and his cronies actually PHYSICALLY recoil.

So, in typical childish habits of making fun, they proceed to ask if I find each of them in any way attractive. So it was pretty much "no" to most of them, and "He's all right" to a particularly unoffensive one. So of course, to them this means I want to rape the person. What they completely fail to grasp is, there is a difference between being gay and bisexual, and there is also a difference between being gay and being a rapist. In their eyes, my loving relationship with my Kitty is just a way to "cover up" the fact that I'm actually gay. And I can't comprehend how that would be a problem for me either.

When you can't argue with them, what can you do? I can't avoid them either, given that I'm forced into their company for an hour every day.

With aching fists,

Snacks

Not much you can do except endure or just not associate with them. That's not a  good group x.x

It's people like that (rude people in general) thar are the complete reason why I don't associate with the rest of the human population...

best advice i can give is since you can remove yourself from the group, to try and get through it as fast as possible. people that associate rapist with bisexual so quickly are very difficult if even possible, to change.

I'd Insult them back quite honestly, Or just play around with them (Psychology style YO!)
And don't worry if you get beaten down. You can always run? And trust me If you run you arent a coward, Just strategic
Because if you get beaten down. That means that you have enemies, and ig you have enemies It just means you stood up for yourself.

Its not like those people would actaully dare to kill you...

oh and as a comeback say "60% of people who are homophobic are actually closet homosexuals themselves"

i have no idea if the statement is true, but like horror said "psychology style!"

I'm Straight but have nothing against how others live their lives, and my advice is to simply laugh it off, it works with most insulters if you give a big genuine laugh people tend to see that you can roll with the punches(hopefully not literally) and that you are a stronger person than them. If this fails, no sweat just report them that's right what their doing is technically harassment (it's not a weak choice. But hey that's just works for me.(also what age group of pest are we talking about? that could change my answer)

Hope I could help some!

At the risk of sounding repetitive, I'll say that avoidance is probably the best policy.  If you're forced into a situation where you need to associate with them, simply ignore the barbed comments and biting remarks.

I empathize, everyone has dealt with a jerk like that at some point.

I always just agree with someone when they say something about me.  They usually go away and leave me alone.

Depending on my mood I do what either philiy says, horror, or I go and scare them like "yea I'm a fag... I'm that creeper that waits for you to fall asleep... the one that makes you wake uo in a cold sweat... the one that will get you (can't put it all do to forum rules)" and I'm told I look scary (not ugly scary just like "o shiz don't mess with him") so it works.

If you don't like any of those idead you can just do the othere thing I do, listine to music (if posible), and when they come up to you give them:
A) death stair
B) wtf do you want look
C) lol I'm oging to kill you later
D) ignore them all togther and walk away (not fast there like dogs >> don't let them fool them self into them thinking your scared.)

But my fave is being the creeper, and Idk if you can come uo with stuff on the spot but if you can, head movment helps, but body can be a little much.

And are you a fighter? You might want to be on the safe side if not

I'm not so much a fighter as a punishment absorber. And my Kitty gets worried when I do get into fights :S

Unfortunately, these people are the sort of gelatinous globs that creeping out doesnt work on, they just try to laugh at you for that too, as though they're some kind of single function robot that simply repeats everything you say and laughs o.-

Anyway, I saw the lead homophobe (The one that stands about two feet tall) on his lonesome, and I was with Kitty, so we sat down next to him, making it obvious that we were holding hands, and discussed Adam Lambert's music, making the analogy that "he's gay, making him automatically awesome"

I passed him in My Element (the art block) and he gave me the customary homophobe's look (you know the one) So I laughed at him, loudly, and walked past him. It was fun :3

So the laughing idea helped?

<Sigh> Apparently not. Next time I'm forced into their company, it's the same series of uncreative insults all over again.

It's interesting though, considering the amount of homosexually perverse activities they decide I engage in (the sort of thing no true queer would consider, bless their innocence) one would think they think about men more than I do. Clearly the little %#$! is desperately trying to impress his larger freinds.

Something else I notice is, they referred to the fact that I'm "ugly". Their jealousy is beginning to show. I'm no Kianou Reeves (<3) but I'm certainly better looking than their lot o.-

Similarly oddly, I apparently have a "gay deep voice" (something I developed from fifteen years of not being kicked in the data banks) but last time I checked deep voices were sought after...

On your last post I'm sure it's the "I can't get it so it isn't good thing" they decide that everything they don't have that you do is bad because in their own egotistical world they are better than you. Just remain unaffected, I don't know how long idiotic perseverance lasts but I doubt they can use the same things over and over whilst knowing that you don't care whatsoever for that much longer, although I've always underestimated how dumb society can be....
