eh, I just thought of this, I just wanted to know why people picked there fursona or came upon it.
-
My first fursona was a fennec fox. I liked foxes and the standard red fox just didn't fit me.
It also fit my style of drawing slender furrs and I was starting to draw foxes with big ears so it made sense.
I later changed to a red panda. I'm not sure why entirely though.
-
Typically 'Cybercat' is a Caracal but with a long time. There were too many puma / cougars already and I love the cute tuffted ears. It's also a warm climate cat and I hate the cold. And as many people have told me, I rather look like a cat anyway irl. :-[
-
My first fursona was a generic wolf. I don't know why, perhaps because my friend and I would always type "aroo" for some reason and it morphed into howling. I went through a phase where I represented myself as a winged white tiger thingy (ah, the teenage uber-fur stage...). Then I grew up and was drawn to wolves again. One day, I saw a picture of a red wolf and my heart leaped. I did a little research and from then on I was a red wolf :)

For me i've always loved Wolves, ever since I was young. I often had dreams about being a werewolf and such and loved to run around at daycare or not and pretend I was. For couple of years when I first realised what I was and about the furry community I was a dragon, then I decided I was a mix of both. Now i'm back to just a wolf though, eventually i'll have a silverybluish fur but I will still sport the blue hair. <3 blue hair xD. Though I have different versions of Larc too, one is a bull version (Inspired by WoW xD love Taurens) and another is the dragon. Each of 'em have different last names that kind of correspond with their race..But my wolf side is who I truly am :)
-
I've always loved wolves when I was little and big dogs. I would always have stuffed dog or wolf toys and loved to learn about them, then I kinda went into a horse stage (I dont know why). When I discovered imvu it was back to wolves, but then I started to learn about coyotes and loved them for their small size and adaptation. Then of course there became my big cat stage (Still in love with Lions though) finally I just began to stick with my true animals ,Lioness and wolfess.
-
I started off as an Artic Fox, because I though it was cool ^-^ but after switching to a silver wolf for awhile I realised I'm much more Feral in nature and became my current fursona, a White domesticated house cat >w>
-
-Strokes chin.- That's a good question. Well, since I/m strongely a feline type, and being a leo, I started out as a ligress (couldn't find any lion skins then) but as time went by, of course new and better skins came to mind so I went and changed into an orange tabby cat then moved to blue which I didn't like to much. I then thought about being a Calico cat but didn't like it. Now that a lion skin was out, I was thinking on being a lioness but the look didn't fit me so finaly I became a white tigress! I didn't see much white tigress around much but I think I'm finally comfortable in my own fur. ^_^V

i pick arctic fox coz i luv foxes there so cute and im in to winter so arctic fox kinnda popped in my head :snicker:
-
hmmm very interesting
-
The cheetah has been my favorite animal when I was 7. My dad liked them and he coached my soccer team so he decided to call us the cheetahs. I was curious about them and he explained that they were very fast cats. I already loved cats and I loved speed - I wanted to be fast. So that animal has stuck with me since.
Like I said I love cats, but it's funny because I used to hate them (when I was like 5 and 6). I hated them so much that I tore the cat card from don't wake daddy into little pieces (I remember the card being covered with scotch tape because my parents put it back together). I can't remember why I hated them or why I started liking them again...*shrug* I still find the card thing funny...hehe.
-
hmm I used to not like mammals o.o
-
I chose a zorse becouse Ive always liked horses, and always wanted to own a zorse.
-
Why the Midnight wolf? well, I was always a wolf with dark fur. right from birth. as for the... other influences. That's due to influences in my life. I still stay dominant wolf and I pick up traits from other species.
Fox allows me to better understand the things around me, and expand upon my ninja skills...
Panther gave me a long tail and the ability to purr and land on my feet always.
Dragon gave me wings and the ability to process scents better.
Then I have a few other mixed canine traits...
All of this meshes with my wolf for a balanced form that has all the uniqueness of an every day individual.
-
I dunno actually. I've liked dragons since I was very young... Plus my father was a dragon freak.... Collecting everything scaley. Eventually, after using and drawing my black dragoness fursona, someone at school pointed out that I was a furry last year in November. Being the curious dragoness I am, I looked up what a furry was and decided that a furry is what I'll remain. Though, after discovering a cute little rodent called a sugar glider, I'm finding that I fit their traits better than I do a dragon's. I'm sort of leaning toward a fursona change, but I highly doubt it. Dragons will always have their talons in my heart. :3
-
Well, I'm not sure why i chose the Arctic fox, i have only recently discovered my furry side, but i have a feeling if i was an animal, thats what I'd be.
Maybe it's because Arctic foxes have to live in a harsh environment, and i portray this environment as the world we live in...
-
hmmmm....-rubs neck- To be honust, it took me awhile to choose Wolf. But i always felt connected to all types of dog. But one day i looked in the sky (i was tired and i think a lot wehn i'm tired) and i saw a cloud that looked like a wolf. So i thought of it as a sign and i also like to howl when i'm with my friends^^". But,my master is trying to throw me against a wall that turns me into a dryeenolf. :twitch:
-
Hmmm well i chose Arctic fox because in gerneral i love foxes however the Arctic fox seems to fit me a lot better. one of the smallese foxes (im a small person XD ), and my general actual personality fits it almost exact lol so i am closest to the fox then any other animal.
-
I have alot of Forms, but my Kistune it my faborite, It was the coolest looking and reminded me of wolfs, I have always loved wolves so, I guess you can say I love My fursona, Thats why my fursona,..=]
-
Simply really. My Fursona is very much a representation of myself. A bit off her rocker but friendly, loving and well...a pyro. I chose a bear because everyone and their grandmother has a fox, wolf or big cat of some nature. I like to be different.
-
Ive loved Canines, Huskys in paticular my whole life
I signed up here and decided to be my favorite animal, and my favorite breed of that animal
Besides, Im sexy hahahahahah, thats funny, not really, im hungry
well thats why
-
Why, huh? Well, kind of... Not sure. I knew I was a furry after I researched them a little online and saw some of the forums and the like. I'd drawn anthro art since I was very small and I used to pretend I was a cat all the time. I have a very feline nature, partially because the Jaguar is my life totem. But a jaguar fursona didn't fit me. the Jaguar may walk with me, but I am not it.
When I joined the furry community proper, I felt a little weird about not having a fursona. Everyone else could say "I'm a _____" and show off pictures and the like... I wanted to be able to do that as well. So I tried to design myself a fursona for a while. It didn't work in the slightest. I got some wonderful characters out of it, but nothing really resonated with me. Eventually, I gave up on it.
About two days after I gave up, I read Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass in the space of an afternoon. The Cheshire Cat grabbed me. I drew a picture of a saucy Cheshire I dubbed Alcide in my English book shortly after. That drawing evolved not into a fursona just yet, but into a character. As soon as I had Alcide's sheet written up, it hit me that *this* was *it*. So I never really picked my fursona species so much as I fell into it by accident. Finally, though, I'm comfy in my fur. :3
I guess I should say why the Cheshire, too... Well, they're philosophical, zany, impossible, fundamentally catlike and sentient, playful, confusing and just about everything else that describes me. I love that they're sort of an intermediate between animals and people as it is... They're both wild and civilised. Bottom line is that Cheshire Cats are felines with an intrinsic twist towards the pleasantly insane. It suits me well. : )

Mine's basically represents how I feel I'd be portrayed if someone had created it for me based on my personality.
-
Since I was little, I always had imagined myself of an animal, mainly wolf or lion. I always wanted to be an animal, and often had crazy daydreams while sitting in class[I think it was 2nd grade] that me and my classmates were a pack of wolves. x]
Anyway, so in 6th grade, I started drawing a lot of anthro-morphic people, mainly my friends. By the time I got to 7th grade, I had established a fursona as a gray wolf named Icisis.
8th grade stayed the same, but I then got an obsession with dragons, so I had altered my fursona into a half-wolf, half-dragoness.
Now I'm a freshman and I have stuck with my new fursona, Synyster, for almost a year. In case any of you don't know, she is wolfox/blood garou.
^^; Whew.. sorry about the life story, guys!

Red Fox.... Always knew I was a canine, but not a wolf. Not enough grace (no offence wolves). I didn't pick a fox because they're trendy, or popular, but rather, because it's me. And the red fox because I enjoy temperate climates, and they're common. I'm the same.
-
I originally chose a red fox because when I was little I really liked disneys robin hood and he was the first example I thought of when I found out about the fandom. I eventually found out about the different furry species and I liked the Idea of a wolf. But I didn't choose the wolf until I took a quiz to see what type of furry I should be.I got the result of wolf and the description pretty much nailed my personality perfectly so I've been a wolf ever since.
"You are creative, passionate and resourceful. You can be distant at times but you always enjoy the company of your carefully selected packmates"
I also like the picture that came with it (the quiz and the result is on my homepage if anyones interested.)
-
well i have always loved dragons even before being furry and so it was pretty easy for me..... no reaserch or nothing. when i found out what a furry is i found i was one and have never looked back ^.-.^
-
I actually have two forms, a winged black wolf, and my snow tiger. My snow tiger form is my favorite though. I have always been drawn more to cats then dogs, and have a tendency to act very cat like.
-
well for me it was always a toss up between a cat and a dragon.
I finally chose dragon because a fire breathing furry that can fly seemed more appealing to me than...
HAIRBALLS!

Well... mine is a two-tailed metallic-white wolf... it's kinda hard to explain it all, but I'll try to. About two years ago, I started chatting on a Forum site that dealt with anime/RPing... I initially made the character known as "Vosur" ther. As time progressed, they made an item for their avatars... simple to think about it, but it was a wolf-tail. I was a lucky one and came across it... when I did, I liked it so much that I added some plausibility to the persona of "Vosur", giving him a more in-depth storyline. Before this time on this site, I was noted to be swift, resourceful, very vicious at certain times, and loyal to my friends... all of which I still show today. Pictures of how it it progressed...

(http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/fox71484/Akitsukiswork.jpg) (Had to have something during the winter-time)
As time progressed, so I wanted to make a 'full-wolf' form for him... so thinking of one that wasn't commonly used during that time was this:
Time continued on and ideas still came... Then when I eventually was introduced to IMVU, I found more to work with. So I came up with what you see below.

well, I have always been fascinated by Kitsune lore and mythology, in actuallity, Kitsune itself means Fox, but in Japan, the fox is seen as more then just a fox. After reading and learning as much as I can about the foxes in Japanese lore, i felt what many would call, a connection, and thus I came up with my fursona, a 9-tailed arctic fox named Zero :)
