I've already seen it twice, and it is... an amazing movie. Christopher Nolan has done it again. :)
-
I agree; I've seen it twice already too. I loved the ending, and the concept of the movie itself. I think all the actors outdid themselves.
-
Aww man I wanna see this movie! I heard its good, I hope to see it tomorrow :P

******************SPOILERS***************************
wait so....at the end was he in the dream or not?
because i spotted loads of characters in places they shouldn't have been and i suspect they were projections...
and then the thingie keeps spinning at the end and is about to fall over but never does....

It just... wasn't that great.
Now, I loved the movie, it was really good and that line 'You've got to dream a little bigger, darling' was perfect; but a friend of mine left the theater like he'd seen the messiah, and I just don't know what the big deal is. That and Avatar, I don't understand this idea of 'OMGbest movie EVAR!'
Some people need to see more good movies.
-
wasn't avatar like 2 hours of smurfs getting shot?

Well, it wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but it certainly was the best I've seen recently. The general concept, the acting, the ambiguous ending, it just appealed to me.
As to Avatar... it was beautiful but shallow. The world Cameron created was wonderful, but the story felt like an afterthought. And really, unobtainium?
-
I saw it today, it's among my new favorites, coming in second after my foremost favorite The Matrix: Reloaded. It was just that good to me, I love the ideology behind it all and the originality of the scenes was fantastic.
-
avatar is THREE hours of smurfs gettin shot :3 actually they a lot taller than humans but WUTEVER ;)
-
Personally, I like suspense / thrillers, so I naturally loved the movie. Sekoshi, you might want to warn your post has spoilers; I mean, some people haven't seen the movie, haha. As for my take on that, the ending was supposed to be ambiguous; up to the watcher, really.
-
edited in some spoiler warnings....
but yeah....inception was an emotional thrillride with awesome actions sequences and a gritty understory which keeps you watching till the end ^_^
-
Gawd, I'm such a downer - everyone go see Memento. In fact, go see A LOT MORE MOVIES, before you say this is the best thing HollyWood has ever produced
I'm with you in that this is a great movie, but it's not THAT good, come one guys, take a moment to consider first before jumping onto the fanboy bandwagon
-
Hey, what wrong with being a fanboy? ^_^
And I don't believe anyone said it was "the best in Hollywood," they're just saying that they enjoyed the movie.
-
OMG A DOWNER! *pulls out an AR15*
-
i saw it once and i loved it
-
the storyline was deep, emotional and complex...
one of the best movies i have seen in a while ^_^
-

Fun Fact: Memento was ALSO written and directed by Christopher Nolan. :P
I think a large part of the love that Inception gets is because it's a shockingly original work in an age where every other movie that comes out is a remake, sequel, or adaptation. I have a few small gripes with Inception, but if I had to really concentrate on my personal top ten list, it would make the cut for sure. For a variety of reasons.
And I watch movies like a crack addict smokes crack. :P
-
i would have this on my top ten along with the matrix. but i did kind of feel like both the matrix and inception both had the same feel to them.

Yeah, I can see that. The whole "What is reality" angle. I gotta say, I loved the effects in Inception. I've been wondering for a while what Christopher Nolan could really do with CGI, since he uses as little of it as possible in all his movies, and Inception did not disappoint in that regard. The man is a Master.
