... The Amber sun rose behind the Emerald mountain's that circles around Loch Ness. The water was still and clear, the breeze that blew from the south had a hint of Mediterranean warmth that was picked up along the way. To the foot of the mountain, a small village started their fires, smoke rose form the chimney.
Emrelda opened her eyes, the bright sunlight woke her up from a less than pleasant sleep. she yawed and uncoiling herself. she stretched yawing again, this time letting out her growl. she blinked sleepily, she looked over at her friend Shiro which was cooking this Mornings breakfast of bumpy oatmeal.
ugh...Human Food she though as she watched with uninterest, this morning she didn't bother to say good morning to her friend, but instead started to stare out the entrance to her crystal cave...

Shiro flicked his ear in interest. "And a hearty good morning to you too." he said not even turning his head in the dragon's direction. His oatmeal was finished and he picked up the bowl and leaned against the wall eating.
"So, looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the stone floor this morning... something trouble you? Bad dream?" he said smirking.

She eyed Shiro moodily "No... just somebody decided to have a running dream and kicked me several times in the night"

Shiro looked down at his feet. "So that is why my paws are sore... no matter, your too small when curled up to hit. I don't know how i could have hit you.'

Emrelda rolled her eyes, she stood up, she did a cat like stretch before she walked out her cave, she opened her wings to let the sun warm them. she folded them back to her body as she elegantly laid down again. she didn't feel hungry this morning, with an Ebony talon she began to draw a pentagram

"Maybe it was because you slept to close to me...I pushed you away three times last night..." she wiped away the pentegram

Shiro held his paws up defensively. "Hey, my patch is over here, yours is over there. If my body moves over there at night, i am kind of asleep, so just scoot me back."

Her laughed ringed like sweet bells. her mood was becoming more pleasant, "Maybe I should steal a bed from the village so that you can sleep there and not have to roll around in my cave" she teased, her eyes lit up with humor

Shiro grinned. "Nah, you should leave their beds. They need them more than i do." he walked over to the wall where he had been enscribing runes and spells.
"Hunh..."

Emrelda got up an walked over to the runes, she studied them for a moment...
"Its an Omen...and not a very good one " she looked over at Shiro "You should look into that"

Shiro raised an eeybrow to the dragon.
"Really? I would never have thought of that. Thank you captain obvious." he said grinning widely.

Emrelda eyes went from a soft amber to a dark color. she gave him a very irritated look...
"Don't tease me fox, this is serious" she looked at the runes again...she watched as the started to move around "its getting worse"

Shiro stood there studying it. His brow furrowed in concentration.
"What do you reckon it is? Whatever it is it's big..."

"The Runes, Storm, War, Blood, Innocent and God are forming...it reads 'the storm is a approaching, innocent blood shed and Gods will war...but the Rune for god is also the same rune for protector..." Emrelda watched as another rune appeared "This rune is Earth...and the Protectors of the Earth will rise again"
Emrelda looked at Shiro " either this is true or someone is messing with us..."

"I like the someone is messing with us bit more than the other... maybe i should go down to the village and see if they have lore on this... you find out what you can." he said, hefting up his backpack full of books.

Emrelda laid down in front of the wall, with her talon she engraved some more runes. "Be careful" was all she said

"Like always" he said, grinning, as he stepped out of the cave on the path down to the village.
The trek was uneventful, and he had to slip on his doctor's mask (the old plague doctor ones) in order to blend more with the populace. He didn't think that they wanted to see his rotting head or body at all. He made his way to the library and sat down with some books, delving into them for information on the Protectors of the Earth.

Xavier stood up and wiped a paw across his face. Man that sun was hot already, and it was making his already tedious job more annoying. He had stopped to help a farmer fix a broken wheel on his cart... and before long there were quite a few people lined up to take advantage of his generosity. Everyone wanted something fixed, and the mage was only a mediocre handyman. His eyes caught something strange in the crowd. Unnatural. He tried to blink it away but there it was again. It seemed to be focused around a fellow walking by, keeping to himself. The hybrid excused himself from the crowd, which he had been about to do anyways, and walked off after the man.
Typically things that showed up in his secondary vision were magical in nature, but he had seen other things before. Ghosts, undead., or large disturbances on nearby planes of reality. It was hard to distinguish between them from just a glance, but they normally meant trouble.... especially when innocent people were around.
The hybrid managed to tail him to the library, waiting just long enough to see what books he looked into before stepping into plain sight from around a doorway. His left paw released the bangles from his right wrist, allowing them to chime together again from where he had been keeping them quiet. Now that he had a clear look at him, he was some sort of dead thing. What kind he could not decipher. "Walking dead normally spell bad news." He spoke up, loud enough to be heard, brows furrowing slightly.

Emrelda was irritated that the runes gave her no more messages. she looked out the hole of of her cave, she was going to get bored waiting for Shiro...she didn't wait. with a flash of green light her once small dragon self became a beautiful Tall red haired women, she was recognizable as an Amazon warrior women from the Ancient times. she smoothed the skirt of her dress before she flashed into the town. she held her breath as the horrid smell of human and sewage swarmed around her. she strode towards the library, occasionally receiving awed looks from fellow villagers. entering the library she could smells Shiro's smell of death. quietly she walked past old shelfs of different sized books, for a moment, she was surprised that this place was dirtier than her cave.
"Shiro?" she called out

"Over here... i haven't been able to find anything yet..." he said perched on a stack of books that he was looking through. His mask hid his rotting flesh, but he did notice the aura of power that was unfamiliar to him pass by in a crowd, and had been tracking him. He looked around the bookshelves, brushing his tail when a spider fell apon it.

Emrelda smiled and sat down...she began to drum her fingernails in an open book. "Try looking in the ones that looks like they will turn into dust if you touch it" she picked up a book and began to flip through it..." what book are you looking for?" she gazed outside, through the dust she could make out the villagers doing their daily duties, her hands reached up to touch the small river stone that strung around her neck

"i don't know what i am looking for... just that I will know when I see it..." he said, hefting another big volume off of the shelf and checking the index.
"No... no... nothing..."

Emrelda watched in amusement, a book caught her eye on the way top shelf "Shiro..try the big black book up there on the top shelf to the right"

"Well, it's worth a shot..." the book flew to his hand, and he flipped through the pages. 10 minutes later he looked up.
"Well, looks like you have an intuition for this stuff... it seems that they are some sort of war machine... or warrior, or something. The details in this book are pretty vague, but it says that they sleep until the goddess... i am guessing Gaea... needs them. Something about snakes too." shiro said, moving his pawfinger down the lines.
"Okay, i can barely make head or tail of this... you got anything?"

Emrelda held out her hand "let me look at the book, it must be written in some ancient language you must not understand quite yet" she sat up in her seat as she braced herself for the heavy looking book.

Shiro looked for another book.
"Hey, ur the dragon. You deal with the ancient languages." he said grinning

Emrelda snatched the book from Shiro's hand. she began to read it, a deep sense of dread flowed through her
"Shiro it says here that the Protectors of the Earth are giant snakes of each natural element...Fire, Water, Earth, Air and Spirit... if they are awaken and taken over as machines for war...Gaea intentionally locked them away in their element, never to be found...she will use them to help her when her life in threatened... but if they are used for war...the world will come to a tragic and brutal end...no life will survive"

Chrono stood in a forest, not having any recollection of where he traveled to arrive there, or even knowing where 'there' is. He slid his spear out as he heard and felt a giant 'rumble' resonate around him, and it never ended until there were four serpents around him. One of them cleared the trees as the other three just seemed to give him a once-over. They started speaking to eachother in a language that was unlike any he had heard in Europe, and they looked back down at him after conversing. Suddenly, two of them lashed out at him by spewing flame and throwing boulders; Chrono dodged the rocks and parted the flame with a swing of his spear.
Wake up...
Chrono stabbed the spear into the ground and pole-vaulted onto the nearest snake, and tried to inflict at least some form of injury. Thats when a gust of wind knocked him off his feet, and a sphere of water held his entire body suspended in the air.
Chrono... wake up...
The spear lodged in snake, flew out and landed back in Chrono's grasp and its power dispersd the water and he landed in a tree to buffet his downward velocity and then stop. He got out of the tree just in time to get surrounded by the same four serpents, but they were much more around his size and had limbs that one used to seize him by the neck. Before he could even use his spear, a 'map' was seared into his mind, with four marked points all in random location. He hoped the pain would make his pass out, but the only thing that seemed to go through his head was the thought that did not belong to Chrono.
Chrono, wake up, we're here...
He suddenly 'pulled' from the forest and sat upright from where he was sleeping, his spear wrapped within a leather-like cloth and bound together by flax cord. He got up and took the spear in hand as he got off the ship and walked into town...

"Deep. So... we are talking about huge snakes here? Ooookay." he said, rubbing his temples for any recollection of something like this in his travels.
There had been myths of huge serpents, or people on quests for war machines that were extremely powerful, but the information didn't link up. He needed time to collect his thoughts.
"I'll be down in the basement... i don't want to be disturbed. I'll contact you if i find something." he said, hefting his bag downstairs and putting up a protection seal on the door to make sure he wouldn't be interrupted. He moved to the center of the bare underbelly of the library, pulling out chalk as he went. For the next ten minutes he drew a complex circle into which he sat in the middle of. Arcane symbols danced and flickered around the undead fox merrily, but the necromancer kept a stern, concentrating look to his face. As well as the symbols, the books and journals from his backpack jumped out and flew about him so that he could see their contents and link together past myths, legends, and stories.
"This.... is going to take a while..." shiro muttered to himself, his voice crackling with power.

Emrelda decided to go through some more books to see if there was any information besides that one page on that book. secretly she tore the page from the book and put it in her dress pocket. she slowly moved further to the back of the library, slowly running her fingers along the dusty books. she could sense nothing would help in these books so she didn't touch them. she clenched her jaw in irritation, this god forsaken library wasn't going to help at all. A jolt of pure energy shot through her body, she froze in place. she looked down at the sword at her hip, she never mentioned to anyone that this sword was valuable. the sword began to vibrate and the smell of electricity filled the air around her.
"This is new" she said to herself. she touched the hilt, the humming subsided. but she felt the power flood up her arm and flow through her body. this power was hers...
Focus, the last thing you need is to recognize sacred power she thought to herself, her eyes traveled outside again. her gut lurched, something was telling her to go outside. quickly she left the dusty library and stepped outside in the sunshine, her gut tightened even more...

Chrono kept walking with his covered spear until he walked into an alleyway. As he entered it, he met up with one of his contractor's informants; nothing was said, but a map was handed to Chrono with the entire area of scotland. He obviously thought that the 'C' was where he was right now, and then he saw the 'F' and assumed it was the creature he was ment to put down. You know, this has been on my mind for a few months... why are you still killing? the 'spear' said in his mind as he set off towards the woods. I need the money... he could feel the demon's annoyance as it spoke back to him; You have enough money to be considered "Lord Chrono", you're not the person whos motivated by greed alone... I'm looking for a wife, but so far all I've been killing is male monsters or males possesed by monsters. Hopefully a forest spirit is going to be a fine lady, hopefully a size-difference isn't an issue...

Shiro sifted through the knowlege, but found nothing...
"This is taking too long! Ugh... where oh where could she have gone too..." he muttered to himself.
just then, a spirit flew up out of the earth and sat cross legged in front of him.
"You Called?" it said, pushing back her long silver hair
"Bout time you showed up. I have been waiting. Can you make any sense of this, Eliza?"

A small cat sauntered through the busy town, paws padding across the cobbled street. Crowds of people seemed to part either side of the feline, though perhaps it was just a trick of the light. The cat stopped beside a stall laden with fish, sitting on its hind legs it mewed at the stall keeper. The owner looked down at the cat and stooped down to pick up a stone... "Shoo! Mangy Cat..."
The cat gave a mewl of annoyance, before setting off at a run, thrown stone missing as the feline dissapeared among the crowds of people. Later that day the angry owner of the stall died mysteriously, and messily. The cat took a fresh trout as people tried to help the dying stall owner, and the Cat sauntered away with the fish in its mouth, looking rather happy with itself... The cat was walking in the direction of the library, and it seemed to be looking for someone....

Emrelda was irritated, Shiro was taking to long and the sudden gut feeling that she thought was a bad thing, was actually telling her that she didn't eat breakfast this morning. her stomach grumbled. she began to realize that the roasted pig in the mansion was smelling really good to her. even though she wasn't much for cooked food on those rare occasions she will eat it.
if I remain in human form for much longer if I don't eat...things can get messy...its time to hunt Emrelda sniffed the air, there was a rabbits nest near by...and down wind was a lone buck. Emrelda decided to go to the rabbits nest for food. see that Shiro might be done soon....
The hunt was quick, easy and oh so delicious. she ate all three, feeling rather full but not sleepy she made her way back to the library. she regained her human form when she walked through the town. she hated walking through humans. they stared at her in wonder, sometimes lust but none approached her. she could hear the villagers speak quietly among themselves.
she is too beautiful to exist...

is she married?
Emrelda knew that taking this form was a bad idea...but it was too late. the women was the last amazonian...she was rather intrigued with this womans grace and power. she shook away that memory as she walked into the library, she felt magic and power swirling in the air...her hair stood on end, she sensed that Shiro was summoning a very powerful being, hopefully whoever it was can help. this situation was very important and books are not going to help very much.
what if I can dream search... she thought to herself...

The small cat was still sauntering through the town, and it had almost finished the fish. The cat stopped, sniffing the air. It could smell several scents nearby that interested it, though one more so than the others... Satisfied it was going the right way, the cat continued to wend through the large crowds.
The cat´s arrival was heralded by the head librarians shouts of "No animals in the library... SHOO!" The cat gave an innocent purr, and slunk between his legs, a fast blur of striped black fur. Finally it found the source of the scent, and jumped up onto the table beside Shiro... The cat dropped the fish from its mouth, looked between the masked ´Alchemist´ and the spirit and proudly announced "You... are a necromancer..."
The Head Librarian, who had only just caught up with the cat, stopped dead in his tracks.. It seemed he could not decide what was worse, the fact someone in his Library was a necromancer, or that the pronouncer of such news was a talking cat. Using the moment of stunned silence that followed to his advantage, the white-haired Librarian sidled away between two shelves of books... The cat however, gave a triumphant mew, and gulped down the rest of his fish...

Chrono's spear started to get bone-chilling cold as he got a flash of his previous dream. The 'dream' vanished as quick as it came, but the spear was still cold and was now pulling itself towards a library that a rather large human just walked right into...
Powerful... passed over us... this way

He took reign over the spear and made his way to the library as that was where his spear had been tugging him towards.

Nothing...nothing at all. Emrelda was infuriated that her dream search didn't help in the least bit. she let out a dry of frustration as she pounded the table, breaking one of the weak legs. in the mirror across from her she could see that her eyes were dark red wine color. she couldn't let her irritation stray her away, she sat down on the chair again and tried again. she began to chant in an ancient language, dreams swirled around her...she again began to pick out anything that had to do with the subject at hand...again nothing. she stopped knowing that it was useless. she eased back into the chair...she needed to fly, she escaped the library and ran into the woods, she launched herself into the air, regaining her dragon form, she flew over the loch ness, the tip of her wing skimming the water, she let out a flute like cry
"Long ago... her mothers voice echoed in her head
"our Earth Mother...Gaea created these powerful beasts called the Oonagi...great like snakes that were meant to protect and care for our home...each one represented the five elements...Fire, Water, Earth, Air and Spirit...
she whirled around she had to tell Shiro

Chrono spun around once again as the human ran out, and then shortly after, the same flash and sudden burst of cold occoured again. He ran outside and saw a dragon fly off from the woods and dip back down towards the ground again. Finally, a female target!! he cheered inwardly as he tied his spear to his back and ran into the woods, only expending some of his magical energy to speed up his momentum by launching himself from one earthen platform to another...
However, his magic stopped working halfway towards his target's destination, and he was sent rolling along the grass, and bumped into a tree rather roughly. His vision cleared as he saw a green serpentine woman crouch in front of him. She 'smiled' at him before getting up and lightly strutting over to a seemingly sculpted rock and then literally vanishing into the grass below her feet. Chrono, my powers are being locked, you'll have to go on foot until we get out of this area... Chrono nodded in response to the demon in the spear, but he actually walked towards where the rock was instead of trying to leave the area. He ran his hand over the moss covered rock, then started scraping off the moss before trying to understand why the snake stopped here before vanishing...

Shiro looked over his shoulder from his scribblings and his personal gheist that floated over on his left to the table that the cat sat on. At first he was a little confused. Why was there a cat in the Library, and why was it talking to him? Then he noticed the power in it's words.
"No offense, but after traveling a loooooong way around this planet, your the first free magic spirit that hasn't tried to eat me when i so much as looked at it. Come on down from the table." he said, motioning the cat to join him in front of the circle he was using to process information. The Gheist, Eliza, the apperation of his one and only apprentice who had killed herself in an experiment gone wrong, whispered into Shiro's ear. He looked at the rotting ghost and frowned. He shook his head and then turned his attention back to the cat.
"So... what brings your ilk here to such a small town in the Scottish Highlands?"

Emrelda decided to fly faster, her small, agile body made her able to dodge objects while maintaining her speed. she could only smile inside at the thought of past dragon hunters failing in chasing her...speed, grace, the ability to turn on a dime and stop abruptly made her feel smug briefly before she concentrated on her task, she ;anded in the forest, this time she wanted to test her running skills. not many dragons have the ability to run just as fast on the ground as they can in the air. but she developed that skill when she was young when she was...tortured. she blazed through the thick forest, she knew every crook and cranny of this place. nothing now was going to stand in her way to give shiro her memory, anyone who did was going to regret it...

Chrono finished clearing off the rock of moss, and then felt his hand being guided to certain markings, the voice of the spear all but gone. Runes started to glow where his talon had tapped, and vines started to snake around his legs with a subtle touch that can only be replicated by only the most expert of pick-pockets. His hand was finally guided to the center, where a sharp pain snapped him out of the trance and he yanked his hand away to find that all of his limbs were locked by vines that had grown around him.
The entity in the spear could only watch through Chrono's eyes as the rock in front had glown a bright green, then suddenly burst into a multitude of green blips that reformed back into the snake-ess from before. His heart skipped a beat as she wrapped her arms around his midsection and held him in a rather affectionate hug. Then everything went white before Chrono stood there with his arms outstretched and the vines, rock, and snake woman gone. He was also not in the same location, as he had appeared in another section of the woods, and then felt something come his way. He drew his spear and turned to see that the dragoness from earlier was now running headlong into him...

The cat smiled, a very strange thing to watch that very few would ever see. It licked one paw, bright amber eyes watching Shiro intently.
"You are not stupid... That is good, even for somthing so long dead as you..."
The cat finished grooming itself, small pink tongue bright amongst its black fur. With a lazy jump, it landed beside Shiro, though it did not enter the circle with so much as a single claw...
"Why should a Free magic creature not want to visit such a... colourful... little town?" The cat smirked, sitting down with a flick of the tail "But as to why i am really here... That is somthing much more important..." A smile spread again across his lips, for it was most definitely a male cat, and he licked his now very prominent white incisors.

Emrelda barely had time to stop when she saw a half dragon breed appear in front of her. she let out a cry of surprise before she skidded to a stop. the half breed was slightly taller than Shiro, black scales, she stared at him. she noticed power oozing from him, she glanced at the dark spear that he held. his smelled of a mixture of forest, city and snake. she bared her teeth and let out a savage growl, she crouched low the the ground and began to circle him like a jungle cat. she eyed his weapon, she didn't like the power that it gave off. she stopped, still coiled, her tail twitched...Dragon Hunter... she thought in irritation, just what she needed
"lets make this battle quick, I've got other things to do besides fight your kind" her voice was calm with a hint of a threating tone, digging her ebony talons into the earth, crouched low ready to pounce, her once golden eyes changed into a deep maroon. she made no effort to show off her pearl white teeth, she was ready for a battle on which she hoped it would be quick...

Chrono couldn't help but flash a grin when she said 'your kind'. "I believe I'm looking at my kind right now... and the locals apparently glorify you as 'forest spirit', which made it a rather nice surprise that I wasn't contracted to fight another womanizing monster." He said before literally throwing his spear in her direction, then putting both hands to the ground. He expected a chain-like structure to shoot out of the ground and wrap around her in a crude 'net', but instead he felt someone else's hands on top of his own as the ground instead erupted with barb-covered vines that instantly wrapped around the dragoness, but yanked her too far down to be harmed by the spear. Plant control... since when did my magic get that powerful? he mused before holding out his right hand and recalled the spear in a sheathe of magical flame, then kept his left hand on the dragoness to maintain the focus on the vines while bringing up the spear to strike her down. "Any regrets or requests from a lady of your caliber?"

Emrelda had to be impressed when she was wrapped around by the sharp vines that brought her to the ground. she spear landed near her. slowly she began to relax, she watched as she recaptured his spear again and aimed it at her.
"I have no regrets..." she sighed
she began to transform into human form, she escaped the vines as they burned off of her as she bursted with celestial power, she drew her sword and pointed the tip of the deadly blade at his throat
"But a request however, that we should settle this the human way" she said with a sly grin "Because the usual way gets tiring"

"'human' way, like how my master tried to take my power from me when I surpassed him?" the moment he let go of the spear, it started moving on its own and whacked the sword away and gave Chrono enough space to swing his left foot and send a burst of fire right at her gut. The overall fire was nowhere near as strong as his current earth power, but it was enough to leave a burn and throw her off.
He made an effort to regain control as he grabbed the spear, and tried to keep her off balance by bashing at her sword with the pole of the spear instead of the blade. He then tripped her with a spin at the ankle before holding the blade to her neck. He seemed to think about a few situations that just happened, but kept his edge at her neck. "However, the 'human' way I would agree to is a 'trade-off'. Instead of your life, I'll just take a horn, in return... I'll need any books you have on a red, white, blue, and green elemental snakes. I suppose this is a decent comprimise, is it not?"

Emrelda looked at the burn at her stomach, she felt the rune on her shoulder sting a little, slowly the burn faded away, leaving her upper human body exposed, she didn't bother to cover herself. she hated being defeated but this guy had guts. but a book on elemental snakes...wait, did he know about the Oonagi? to sacrifice her horn wouldn't be an issue she would grow another one in about two days. she walked over and retrieved her sword.
"I'll give you my horn, thats not an issue" she said as she put away the magical sword, she turned twords him, her firey amber eyes got a good look at him, he was half black dragon from somewhere in Europe, not her favorite breed.
"But books on elemental snakes however is going to be...if you want to know more about them, I have it all in my brain..." she tapped her temple, she sat down cross legged
"I will give you my horn, but you must tell no one about the rune on my shoulder AND I want to know how you know about the Oonagi? thats the only thinf I know aboout elemental snakes"
she gave his spear a glare "put that possesd thing away and lets do this in a civilized way"

Chrono let go of the spear, and it wrapped itself up in a black leather-like garb before attaching to the back of his clothes.
"Oonagi, is that what she was?" he mumbled while looking away for a moment, then back at tha dragoness before him. It took him a few moments to take in everything she said, but then his spear whispered the idea that she mistook him for a half-breed, but it was a common mistake among of his targets until the angered him.
"I promise to not speak of your rune, as well as explain my encounters; but you need to get one thing straight, since the non-dragons have spread their territory and influence, my parents had me practice bipedal walking and how to hide my wings, so I would appreciate you stop looking at me as if I'm not a real dragon."

Emrelda wasn't all that surprised...she only smiled "pardon my misunderstanding, lets get acquainted before we being this discussion... Emrelda is my name that I received from my father" she stared at him for a long moment...she sensed something clinging to him, like a passionate lover. it wasn't his spear.
"Something has been haunting you, your dreams lately are troubling you" she stood up and walked up to him, she reached out with her human hand, touching his forehead she extracted a sliver whisp. she extracted the dream that was troubling him...she wanted to see what it was.
"Don't worry, I'll give your dream back"
the silver whisp swirled around her hand, it was hot and cold at the same time, inside her mind she saw four elemental snakes, each one seeking something, all of them speaking in an ancient language that was unfamiliar to her. the image changed as a green serpentine woman came into view. her eyes showed an emotion that she had only seen in humans...Lust, her eyes stared directly at her. Lust transformed into jealousy,
"he is MINE!" she raged, she lunged at her, Emrelda pushed away the dream back to the dragon hunter. she noticed that her nose began to bleed, her breathing ragged "you have issues that I need to discuss with you, but first lets work out our deal" her vision blurred slightly before she came to. she bit her lip to keep from passing out, that dream was out of control she thought I need to get over with this fast before he decides that now would be a good time to kill her while she was at her weakest state...

Chrono was getting somewhat concerned at her bleeding nose, and sifted through his memories until he remembered a minor healing spell ment to fix 'internal' injuries like a nose bleed. He concentrated the spell into his two side talons, and held them under her nose as the spell reversed and stopped the bleeding. "Does that mean I get the horn first... or do I tell you about my encounter?"

Emrelda licked the blood that touched her lips, she felt her strength coming back to her. she was rather surprised that this Dragon Hunter actually healed her...she couldn't help but feel grateful to him
"Encounter then the horn" she said seriously

"Well, since you read my dream, I'll just tell you my latest encounter. I was on the way to chasing you into the lake, then the earth platforms I used to catapult myself had suddenly stopped working. I managed to roll into a tree where I, upon regaining my senses, encountered a rather attractive green scaled snake-woman. She helped me get upright and then walked over to some ornate stone before vanishing into the ground. The next thing I knew, I walked right up to the stone, pressed a few symbols and suddenly the same woman hugs me, and doesn't let go until I re-appear right where were are now." He then took a few breaths before looking up at her, expecting her to give the horn as evidence of her "demise".

Emrelda stares...well this went well she thought to herself, she sighed as she didn't pay attention to her clothes reforming onto her body, she still didn't have the strength to transform back into a dragon.
"Well, consiering the fact that I am still in human form and that when I read your dream it almost killed me because I think that serpetine woman has a sexual desire for you since she grew jealous by the fact that I am sitting here with you" she closed her eyes, from her red hair appeared two of her horns, she didn't feel anything when she took it off. she still held onto them, she stared him.
" here is my horn, but I want you to do this, as thanks to spareing my life..." she tore off the sleeve of her dress, revealing the rune "you see this, this rune is the most powerful healing spell you can possibly get to...don't ask how I got it because its none of your buisness..." she looked at him again, her tone serious and calm "now the spell as become one with my body, if you grind up the horn and mix it with water and drink it it will taste foul but you will have my ability,I am one of only two who has this ability to be immune to everything and be able to survive from certian death, I guess you know why I am a pain in the neck to kill" she said with a amused grin. Emrelda wrapped up the smaller horn in the silk sleeve, then gave both horns to the Dragon Hunter..."Somehow" she said knowingly "I sense that you and I will meet again..." she got up, straightend her dress "farewell...Chrono and do not abuse the gift I have given you" mist swirled around Emrelda and she dissapeared with the wind.

Chrono looked at where she was, then at the horns before putting one away and finding water to do just as she said. He would essentially become un-killable if he followed her directions, but he couldn't give this to the person he was paid by, to keep the horn's ability from being abused. He came to Loch Ness by sheer chance, and raised some water out of the lake with what minimal expertise he had with the water element. He literally ground the horn in his hands, letting the powder fall into the orb and mix about. He then 'held' the orb to his mouth and started drinking it until the taste made him lose concentration, yet the orb stayed in place as there was yet another snake woman, this time with navy-blue scales and a fish-like tail, holding up the orb with apparently a single finger as the green-scaled one proped him back up, although she seemed reluctant to have him drink until the blue one shot her a look that seemed to tell her otherwise.
After he finished drinking he felt a mix of exhaustion and satisfaction as Taea, the apparently English version of her name, lay with him as he went to a rather blissful sleep.
Looks like your previous hunts are paying off with more than just combat experience... I would be jealous if I had a real physical body

Shiro gave the cat a look at the "dead as long as you" comment, but didn't want to completly ruin relations with the creature, so he didn't act apon it.
"Well then, pray tell me why you have come here? I haven't seen many of your ilk around, even in all of my wanderings. Why are you..." suddenly, a flash of green light blazed over his eyes as he saw in quick succession the events between Emrelda and a new halfdragon.
"Pardon me..." he said, pulling the circle between his pawfingers. "A friend of mine is... or should i say, was, in grave peril. It has past, but i do believe i owe the agressor a little visit... do you wish to tag along? As a "Free" magic, you can follow me..."

The Cat watched with his head cocked to one side, amber eyes watching Shiro´s intently. He gave a devious little smile, bright white fangs glinting "Yes... You will do nicely...."
He jumped down beside Shiro, sniffing carefully at the spot where the circle had been moments before, before looking up at him "I shall indeed... ´Tag Along´ ... I have all the time in the world to complete my task." Again he gave a wicked grin, the kind you would expect mice to have nightmares from...

Shiro grinned back, liking this free magic cat.
"Very well, let us be off." he stood up and strode to the door, holding it open for the cat, and giving the librarian a look to keep her mouth shut. She was quite happy to comply.
He walked through the crowd with his mask on, making a little path behind himself where the cat could follow. Once he made it to the outskirts of the town, where no villager would see him, he waved his pawfingers in different shapes and patterns, a green light drawing a symbol in the air. As he did so, a rumble was heard and a skeletal horse formed in front of him. Completely armored, it looked at Shiro, then the cat, and lowered itself. Shiro hopped on and rode off into the woods.

The cat followed, sticking his little pink tongue out at the librarian and sauntering out after Shiro. When they reached the outskirts, the cat looked up at Shiro, and out at the vast expanses of forest and woodlands... "I suppose you do have a plan as to finding your betrothed companion... For while i can be many things, this form does not enjoy walking for miles upon miles..."
He stopped, as the Horse pulled itself together, bones digging themselves out of the sodden earth and armoured plates forming from flickering green fire. The cat tasted the air, purring... "Hmn... Not bad work if i dont say so myself.... I may have underestimated your skill..." He shrugged, jumping up onto the horse in a leap much longer and more languid than any normal cat. He sat between Shiro and the horses neck, and curled up... "Wake me if anything interesting should happen... Or if you find me a fish..." And with that, he slept...

Shiro laughed. "Very well... i will. But we are going to take a quick detour first to see if my friend is okay." he gallopped up the side of the hill, dashing through the trees with agility. The horse climbed up the side of the rocks with ease and made it to the cavernous door, to see if the dragon was in there.

The cat did not reply, already asleep. His paws twitched slightly, as if chasing a mouse in some dream. Around his neck, the small collar of black leather shone with twisting marks, and a small bell swung with the gait of the horse... I did not ring however. For the metal was caked in dried blood, dark red against his black fur.
Underneath the blood and metal, more marks crawled, ready to burst forth into life... All they needed was a single action to be fulfilled, a pact made... The cat slep, smiling in his sleep at the twisted magic´s impatience... The time would come... soon...

Emrelda's last bit of energy that she gathered was used up when she basically teleported about 100 feet away from where she battled with Chrono. She mentally gave him the finger before she passed out. instead of darkness, she was surrounded by white light. her head was throbbing.
"Emrelda...My daughter, wake up"
she knew that voice well. she sat up, her head pounding slowly going away. even though she gave some of her power to Chrono, it will take centuries to get to her level...she forgot to mention the side effects that happenhe will be experiencing killer migraines for a while... she smiled at the thought. payback time. she looked up at the dragon she called father. he was huge, his body glowed as his thousand Angels stood by his side.
Someday...I HAVE to look like him she dreaded the day when she would have cults worship her and Angels swarming her like bee's... but this is what you get for being Celestial. not to mention her father was dream keeper and one of the three kings. she hated being Royal.
"Father" she lowered her head in a respectful gesture. she was back in dragon form. "what brings you to see me on my better days" her voice dripped with sarcasm. her father, gave her an eyebrow.
" Sinsherogosa..." his voice was deep and musical, Emrelda winced, she hated when her father used her celestial name, he only used it when was basically pissed. "You have two mistakes today. One, giving a dark, powerful dragon your healing power and Second, getting involved with something that is beyond your skill"
Emrelda rested her head on her knuckles, she stared up into those blazing gold eyes she inherited "And?"
"you have only several choices to chose from" he was suddenly surrounded by golden mist. then reappered into a tall, unbelievably handsome man with jet black hair and wearing emerald robes. Emrelda also transformed, her red hair, Ivory human skin and elegant woman body made her look like she belonged in heaven in the dream world. two chairs appeared along with a table and two silver goblets that were filled with golden nectar. she sat down when her father did.
"Emrelda, the messenger has sent you the message of the Oonagi I presume" his voice was strained and filled with dread. Emrelda nodded as she swirled the nectar around in her goblet. she raised the goblet her her human lips.
" Your friend, Chrono Blackwyng is in serious trouble" he said sharply. Emrelda nearly choked on her drink, Blackwyng...she knew that name well, a member of that tribe was after her...for what?
"He had other intentions then just killing you daughter, but anyways he is in serious trouble that Taea has taken a sexual interest in him, we cannot let him be captivated by her seductive spell"
Emrelda was suddenly curious "what does she want?"
"his gene so that she may create spawn" he continued to look at her " his power is strong and rare, not that you have inhanced it, she wants him more"
Emrelda rolled her eyes "and why do I care?"
her fathers eyes grew narrow "because their spawn will kill every single life form without any sense of love and mercy, just like Oonagi. Gaea has lost control of her protectors and now they want to kill us all so they can take the world for themselves, Taea will pleasure and fulfill his every desire until she finds someone else that is interesting then will cast him aside as if he didn't exist"
Emrelda snorted, she watched as a dream floated by. "what do you want me to do?" she asked "Kill Taea?" her father shook his head "she is powerful, you will be killed...I want you to do something else more tricky"
Emrelda dreaded what the plan was going to be, she leaned back into her chair, staring at her father with an intense glare. "What is it?"
her father sighed "Make Chrono...fall hopelessly and madly in love with you"
Emrelda's mouth dropped. she leaned in over the table "two words father, HELL NO!" she yelled the last two words.
"it's the only way my child..." a soft, motherly voice spoke, Emrelda's body went cold. at the table appeared Gaea herself. Emrelda's heart was filled with so much love that she was going to cry.
"Daughter of Dreams, remember...the human heart you posses from all those years ago when you switched heart essence, you are a nineteen year old woman trapped inside a dragons body. besides you could even love him in return" her voice was gentle. Emrelda crossed her arms.
"Hell no" she repeated. Gaea sighed, she looked at her father. He nodded
"Emrelda, what if I gave Isobel back to you...but reincarnated as your own child?" Emrelda almost fainted. they were willing to give her Isobel if she did this to Chrono...she sighed as she debated inwardly. her head fell into her hands. tears threaten to spill over "fine...I'll do it, for Isobel" damn my human heart, mind and soul she thought

Shiro sniffed around the area, looking for traces of magic. The fight lead away from there. He could sense the magic. He lept onto his horse and followed the trail. There she was, layed out and sprawled on the ground. Shiro looked with awe, wonder, then outrage and fire. His fur started to spike up, and green fire shot out of his nostrils and eyes.
"Okay... where is this son of a" at this the fire was too much for him to speak any more.

The small cat woke up, the free magic in the air causing the bell on his collar to hum in response. He licked the air, looking from Shiro to the figure on the forest floor. He cocked his head, tail flicking "I do believe you have found your betrothed sweetheart... Now while i am no expert on mortals, i do believe she should be breathing a little more than that..." The cat jumped down from the horse, stretching languidly "I see you have yet to find me a fish however..."

her healing powers were healing every little problem that was on her body. she felt her strength renewed. but she still continued to lay there, motionless. how was she going to tell Shiro about the only solution from becoming destroyed by spawn that will desire blood of life and the need to destroy everything in their path. she had no idea how she was going to make Chrono of all people to like her, then possibly make him love her. it was very improbable, Dragons don't mate for life. and when a pair does its extremely rare. even though in return for her task she will have Isobel back... she hated the plan. she wanted to find some other way to get Chrono away from Taea. but her father and Gaea told her that if she strayed from the plan, she will get nothing and die.
What good is this plan going to do when Taea has a powerful hold on him...and over protection and jealousy will get me killed if I even think about him
she mentally cursed her father for such an idiotic plan. but even Gaea agreed to it. Emrelda began to wonder what would happen if she succeeded. she dreaded the results
But one things for sure....I know nothing about Romance, the whole plan is gonna fail anyway, might as well not get my hopes up.
she opened her eyes. she was weighed down by angry, dark power. she recognized it as Shiro's. she sat up slowly, she caught eye of a cat staring straight at her.

Chrono started to regain consiousness, his spear had acted on its own, pinning Taea to the ground and apparently suppressing her power. Shes only interested in your power you idiot, get aw- Taea screamed loudly as the spear flew off and far from Chrono's sight. He felt her touching him again, but it was a possessive hold and too unnerving to let her keep hold. his arm suddenly burst into flame and she hissed in pain before letting go, and Chrono made a run of it, feeling his spear slowly return to him. His earth control was locked up again as vines caught his feet and he hit the floor. More vines started wrapping around him, and thats when he lost his focus and control. wind had become strong enough to tear a section of vine into shreds, followed by one part suffering from spontaneous combustion, and it ended with a segment of vine suddenly shrivling up as all the liquids inside it were suddenly pulled out. This kept repeating until all the vines were gone and Taea was no longer plaguing his mind.
She had not given up however, for the sudden display of power actually attracted the attention of the other snakes that put their locations in his mind; but he did not attract the snake of spirit since he showed no real control over that element. Now it went from one elemental snake falling for him, to all four now clamoring for his power. By the time all four snakes had his location, his spear was back in his hand and he was just recovering from his sudden elemental explosion. It usually wasn't that scary for the touch... If that spell is truly of the healing type, it probably buffeted the emotional control of her presence; that is how I could tell her attentions had no real interest in your well-being. What about Emrelda? Shes probably the safest bet since she not only has no attraction to you, but probably saved you from making a really idiotic decision with the help of that horn. Chrono was somehow at the mountains by the time the spirit in his spear had finished 'speaking'. She won't mind if I hide out here and suppress my power before I get spotted, will she? he came to a cave and walked in before his spear 'said' anything; She might not even know you're here...

Emrelda was distracted when she sensed a struggle. she got up and looked down at the cat. she sniffed the nasty Shiro smell. he wasn't far...he was looking for whoever hut her. she tensed when she realized it was Chrono. she sniffed the air again. he wasn't far. he escaped Taea. she had to warn him about angry Shiro. she transformed and bolted through the forest. following his scent. she found him in her cave! she climbed up the cliff she pounced and pinned him down.
"A friend of mine is looking for you...he isn't happy" she looked eastward. then back at Chrono "why are you still here in my cave?"

Shiro flew along the forest following the energy. There was a demonic presence here to boot. Not fun. Whoever this thing was, it is going to be a dark day for them.
It is time for payback... spirits started to form around him as he rode. Warriors, Celts, villagers, brigands... people from previous lifetimes buried in the forest. They gathered and drummed into rhythm.
"Come out come out, wherever you are..."

The cat sighed, licking one paw... "People are always in such a hurry these days..." The small bell on his collar hummed angrily, the marks in the leather and metal squirming in frustration. The cat sighed again, compelled by his binding to follow Shiro, to complete the final acts... The cat broke into a run, much faster than any normal cat could. The bell on his collar hummed happily now, for soon its deed would be done...

Chrono remained in his submissive position, not wanting to anger the only possible help he could get. "The horn you told me to grind and drink, it took the drug out of Taea's hold. So, I ran to get away from her, and she tried to capture me again, and after my powers went kind-of haywire I managed to get more than one snake interested in me. I was hoping I could hide out here while clamping down on the strength I give out." his eyes were unusually big for his skull as he passivly pleaded for Emrelda to hide him.

Emrelda growled, a little voice that didn't belong to her was telling her to keep him hidden. she sighed as she unpinned him. she looked out side, it was getting dark, the sun was setting. she walked over to her sleeping spot and laid down.
"First he wants to kill me, now he wants my help.." she said to herself. she stared at Chrono through the fading light. Dragons can see perfectly at anytime of day,
"Fine you can stay here" she curled up her small body. as a runt dragon she was only as a tall as a large horse. "I want to know why people are trying to kill me when I am only doing good..." she lifted her head and stared at him intently "I don't raid villages, I don't eat humans, I certainly don't eat livestock, and I don't want anything to do with world domination" her insides were heating up in anger. anger was a human emotion, dragons only felt irritation...but since was wasn't really a dragon anymore, she felt all human emotions. she rested her head down again. hiding her face behind her tail.
"I hate being misjudged all the time" a single silver tear of frustration slid from her amber eyes. she hated showing her emotions but today has been stressful, she began to hope that this was all just a dream.

Chrono got up only to sit back down again by Emrelda's head, and decided to add his two pence, despite being 'protected' by her good grace. "Not all demons destroy cities or ruin lives, but they're still hunted due to association, the same with dragons and any spirit that isn't declared 'holy'. You're either feared, hated, loved, or ignored by those around or "below" you." he smiles at Emrelda and his partially predatorial features seem to melt away when looking at her. "To be honest, you're one of the few dragons I actually know of beyond the face, most run at the mention of 'Blackwyng' and never tell me why..."

Shiro was plain pissed off. He followed the magic like a hound...
...right to Emrelda's cave.
The flames around Shiro's eyes flickered and sorta poofed, then toned down. What was this? Was Emrelda protecting him now? He walked his horse in, many confused spirits floating around the room, unseeable to the human eye. He noticed the two talking.
"Oooookay.... what did i miss... cause for all i know, last i saw you, you were scratched to hell..."

Emrelda looked at Shiro "you done now, lets talk", she looked back at Chrono "You name does not fear me, nor am I scared of you. I see good in you somewhere beyond your demonic exterior" she gave him a grin. she sighed heavily
"I guess I have no choice, since your both here...might as well tell you something" she sat up cat like. its time the Shiro and even Chrono should know of her lineage.
"Emrelda is my chosen name, my birth name is Sinsherogosa...my daddy kins up in heaven is famously know as Kamal, Keeper of Dreams and one of the three kings of Heaven..." she laid back down again and rested her head on her tail and closed her eyes. "now you know that you are under Celestial protection" she opened one eye and looked at Chrono "Taea won't find you here, even if she did she can't come in" but I am still worried about the other...four, only the three other elemental Oonagi know of Chrono and want him...but does the fifth one know? but also I am curious, are all the Oonagi female? she thought to herself.
Remember Daughter of Dreams...the plan is still in action, the first steps are already beginning in his Heart that voice wasn't Gaea's, Not her fathers. but the voice was a womans, soft, beautiful with a hint of passion. a lovers voice. Liar... she replied, the voice chuckled Suit yourself Child
Emrelda was beginning to feel very irritated by all the gods and goddesses speaking to her about 'the plan' It's not going to work, he will figure it out by the end of this month

The cat followed behind Shiro, twining between his legs it mewed "So... This is the one you cam all this way to save..." He smirked, looking up at Shiro "How very... Galant... Especially for a dead necromancer..." He walked past Shiro, keeping far enough away from everyone to feel safe... In truth it was they who where in the most danger, though that would only be the case if he where released from his bonds... The cat smiled, licking his lips... Oh what a good day it would turn out to be, if one of them could just slip his collar off...
He sighed, sitting up and wrapping his tail around him... Until then he would just have to finish the vows... This necromancer would do just fine, he just had to wait for the right moment...

Shiro looked down at the cat, listening to it's remarks. He glared a little, and noticed the collar around its neck with ((i believe it's)) a miniature Saraneth around it.
"Wait a second... you aren't free. Your bound to someone... who is your master?"

Chrono actually showed some surprise, but then it went away when it made sense that only the celestial would have such a healing ability instilled in them. "Well, then I guess I feel like an idiot for thinking I could take on a child of the stars... although I imagined a celestial dragon would be more white or gold-ish. Unless, thats all just hype and the color really doesn't make a decent cover for surprise attacks."

When did that dragon become more of an imporance than the words of whom had taught you power and given you a purpose when your greedy master tried to end us both?!
Chrono looked like he was trying to bite his lower lip, and he wordlessly excused himself from the company of the others before looking for a part of the cave and putting his spear across from him and on a rock before letting it speak again...

She gave a hairy eyebrow at Chrono. but she sensed something strange coming from the spear, she suddenly became curious and wanted to know more, but she leared from her travles that it was best not to poke around...trouble might not be to far away.

The cat smiled up at Shiro, cocking his head to one side "Oh you are a clever one arent you... Yes, i am bound by saraneth, forever to serve the will of a necromancer..." He smiled again, showing bright white teeth "As for who my master is now?" He bared his throat at Shiro, showing the bell so that he could see the dark red stains that coated the metal "Shall we say... My last master was... Undesirable...."
The cat got up, walking a little closer to Shiro "You on the other hand... You are a powerfull one... I could feel your footprint upon the earth from miles away... And now i come before you, with a request...." The cat shifted, dark shadows twining around it as it grew in size... Within seconds a completely balck puma stood before Shiro, head bowed "I need a master, or else the binding is not done... I need a master, or else i forever stalk the lands with no purpose... You... Could be that master..."

Shiro looked shocked.
"I would never have thought a free magic spirit would ASK someone to be their master... what an odd turn of fate."
he mulled it over in his head a while before saying.
"I accept."

The puma looked up at Shiro, its eyes ablaze with silver fires as the corrosive tang of Free magic filled the small cave... It licked its lips, a smell of burnt flesh rolling off a long tongue of dark nothing. It smiled, a hideous grin that grew wider than any normal animal should be able "Oh... I do not ASK for your dominion out of free will... But i must have a master, or else the binding prods and pokes... It burns and it itches... Until i find one... Any would do, but they have all been so.... weeeaak...."
The creatures smile grew even wider, as it changed again, growing taller and thinner until a figure of pure darkness and roiling flame stood before Shiro. The same silver fires burned in its eyes, as it unhooked the bell from its collar.
The bell hummed and vibrated, as with the other hand, the creature reached for Shiro "For a hundred years i have been enslaved... By necromancers, young and old... I place my allegiance under your hand, so that i may be rid of this constant pain..."
It slashed for his throat, so sudden and fast it was barely visible. There was no mark on Shiro's dead flesh, yet on the creatures hand dripped a coating of bright blood. It let a single drop fall onto the bell, and as it did so a faint chiming sound emanated from the metal. The blackened coating faded away, showing silver metal again, as the creature hooked the bell back onto its collar.
The chime grew louder and louder, echoeing through the stone of the cave, and then in a bright flash of free magic it was gone. In its place, stood a small black cat, licking its paw. It looked up at Shiro and mewed "Good choice...."

Emrelda's day went from stressful to just weird, the free magic spirit just attacked Shiro, she knew of them, but never wanted to get to know one. she leaped back, letting out her flute like roar. she crouched low to the ground, her tail twitching. she looked at Shiro than back at the black cat. if she had feathers, she would be ruffled. hey eye color varied from a dark maroon to a bright gold. she wanted to attack, but she knew she would be killed in the process. she back away to the corner of the cave. she hated showing fear, she bared her pearly whites. slowly she told her self to calm down. almost like a crawl, she approached Shiro, nudging him in a friendly like gesture.
"Shiro...?" she asked softly, she gave a cautious glance at his new so called 'servant' "can we talk now"

Chrono was waiting for quite a while before his spear started to give off a magical glow, then expanded into a more humanoid shape before finally becoming a robed figure that pulled back the hood to reveal a king-cobra like head. "I don't think we had a formal introduction all the years I spent as your mentor, protector, and companion, I am the Spirit Oonagi. Your summoning skills augmented by your bloodline and natural magic reserves were the first to attract my attention, the second was your age and lack of fear towards something of my caliber. Please do not fear me though, long after I bound myself to you for the remainder of your now-immortal life I had seen a mentality in you that is rare in those with the amount of power you possess, and that is exactly why I cannot act as a demon any longer and must confess..." She wraps her arms around him as phantasmal tears fell off her face "I wish to be your first... although I will accept second if you perfer your first to be able to have young."
Chrono stood there while she confessed, and firmly yet calmly pushed her off before brushing the mane that grew of the back of her neck-flap. "I believe second is the least I owe you for what you gave; but you will be my first if Emrelda perfers another." he nearly whispered, only to have her nod quietly and changing back to a spear, already wrapped in the same cloth she appeared before him in...

Shiro leaned down and picked up the cat, stroking the back of its neck.
"Yes we can talk now. Don't worry, i didn't even feel a thing." he grinned and walked over. he looked at the cat.
"I am sorry, but i didn't catch your name? You will find my employment a little different then others."

The cat smiled, purring quietly as Shiro stroked his neck . He pondered the question for a moment, licking his lips before finally speaking "Hmn... You may call me, Kitt..." He smiled, the bell on his collar ringing softly "Yes, why not? It has been a long time... And i feel in a good mood, without the constant pain to distract me..."
He looked up at Emrelda, cocking his head to one side "A dragon scared of little old me? I am most flattered, but unless your friend here instructed me to, i wont lay a claw on you..." He smiled again, showing bright white teeth, and the slightest hint of silver flames deep in his throat...

Emrelda sat cat like and nodded. she gave Shiro a grave look, she suddenly felt an intense pulsing. like a heart beat, coming from Chrono's Direction. she looked out of the corner of her eye. she didn't look at Chrono though, she was staring right at the spear. like a curious cat, she walked over to the spear, past Chrono. she sniffed it and inspected it. she knew it was possessed...but by what? that she couldn't tell but she didn't like it. it made her feel uneasy and...protective of Chrono, she gave him a wary look but she backed away, knowing that right now was not the best time to cause trouble.
"Know...everyone pay attention, its time we talked about things" she laid down in a comfortable position, knowing that it was going to be a while

Shiro giggled to himself.
"The time has come, said the walrus, to talk of many things... of ships and soles and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings." he muttered under his breath. Then he looked at the cat.
"Don't worry, she is a friend. Also roomate for the time being. You'll get used to her eventually.."

The cat looked up, giving a strange sound halfway between a cough and a mewl. He jumped down out of Shiro's grip, landing lightly "I almost forgot... Though if i do not give it to you, the binding will continue to prod and poke... Really rather irksome..." He gave another cough, and a small metal object fell from his mouth to roll across the cave floor with a quiet ringing sound. It was a ring, made of black obsidian, with a single green emerald set into it. Twisted runes and marks crawled across its surface, marks for binding and burning, marks for servitude and constraint. The cat looked up at Shiro, giving a wide grin "You will know what the ring is for, when the time comes..."

"oh i have some idea..." he said and put the ring in his pocket.
"By the way, i am not going to put any language constraints on you. just try not to get me killed with your words, okay?"

Chrono sat down next to Emrelda, with his spear suddenly appearing on his back with little to no magic involved. He looked up at her with eagerly focused eyes, wanting to know more from the one he quickly found an interest in beyond simple knowledge. The snake spirit inside the spear wanted to comment on how she never got that look from him when she taught him, but then realized that she never left her spear form since she found it much easier to teach him by simply tapping into his mind and using his own words to simplify the explanation; so she stayed her 'tongue' and was just happy that he had not treated her with any visible or hinted distrust since she showed who she really was and her motives for staying with him beyond their life-bind.

she gave Shiro a sarcastic smile, that cat better get used to her, she knew what free spirits could do, and she wasn't about to go down that road. she gave her audience a quick once over
"now...first off, this whole Oonagi thing needs to be confirmed, now..." she gave Chrono a quick glance

Chrono cocked his head, then guessed she wanted him to explain his side. "Four of the five elemental snakes are currently searching for me, apparently they called out to me in a dream I had while I was on a boat heading for the port just a little walk from here. Right now the snake of earth, Taea, apparently has the ability to bend others to her will by simply touching her, I only managed to escape because a gift of life given to me by Miss Emrelda and nothing short of that would have probably worked. The snakes also have the ability to lock a person's element, but I'm not sure if its limited to that person, or if its possible to lock multiple spell-casters at once. Right now I have a 'contract' with Taea that boosts my earth abilities tenfold, but right now she has them on lockdown since I can now resist her seduction magic. What I would like to know is why I'm being sexually desired by four ancient beings of elemental power."

Chrono followed Emrelda's head, and instead of just wondering what the entity was, he was starting to listen to a certain ancient instinct that seemed to only kick in just now. His eyes turned completely crimson and his hands formed black spheres that contained an energy that only existed when every other element was removed, essentially making it the fabled 'anti-element' that only a few of the truly ancient those texts mention. However, his spear was shifting about on his back so the spheres would fly away from the mist and simply put holes in the stone they flew into.

"Ah yes... dad. Chrono... i think that is your name... it would be a bad idea to piss him off. Just warning you." he knelt down and sat in the lotus position watching the mist continue to grow, and petted the cat.

The cat purred, as cats do, allowing Shiro to scratch below his chin. He purred louder, as Shiro's fingers reached the collar, snagging ever so slightly on the dark leather "Hmn... If you wouldnt mind, perhaps you could remove my collar necromancer?" The cat looked up, as Shiro's two fingers stayed slightly snagged on the very edge of the binding "It does get ever so... itchy.... I mean, it has been over a thousand years since i had it off..." The cat smirked, licking his bright white teeth...

"Calm yourself Chrono Blackwyng, Emrelda will not be harmed..." the mist grew bigger untill it took on a form, a flash of light until a tall, dark haired man took his place, his amber eyes twinkled with amusement, he gazed up at his daughter with a loving and playful gaze. he took out his pipe.
"As I was saying, if you and and an Oonagi mate, your spawn will be pure evil" he took a puff of his smoke " they will never know the difference between parent and innocent life. thats what they feed on, your life will end if you take on that path...Oonagi have no sense of love, at least thats what the Elemental ones feel" he blew smoke rings into the air. Emrelda gave Shiro a look as if to say "don't you dare remove that collar". as Kamal continued
"You must destroy the Elemental Oonagi soon...Taea has escaped Scotland, she is spreading the word about you my daughter...I believe they are planning to destroy you because you are in they way" through mind speech he continued to only Emrelda to hear.
they know of Chrono's Attraction to you... Emrelda stiffened. Kamal waved a hand an a world map appeared with four dots. Emrelda peered at the floating map...she knew each place well
"Looks like the Fire one is in Egypt and Air is in Russia, Water is in Venice Italy...Taea is somewhere in that direction" Emrelda said "they are just all over the place"

Chrono began to calm down, but he was now aware of the 'new' power he could tap into. He shook his head at the maps, and tapped on Greenland, and it reflected the map in his head perfectly. "Taea is only informing them of what occoured, they can't do anything about it until all their locks are opened. Taea's release is my fault, but the other snakes 'told' me where their locks are so I could release them as well." He rapidly tapped the lock locations on the map, and crossed out Taea's lock before putting his hand back down. "What I'm saying is, that Taea is the only one right now that has at least half of her power back, the rest are on par with regular mages."

"Russia..." shudder "foooond memories of there..." he continued petting, but slightly shook head at the cat softly.
"Well... lets go there first... deal with that one."

Emrelda frowned, she never really like Russia part from the below freezing temperature. the culture and politics there were very...very weird. but she agreed with Shiro

A shiver went down his spine as he felt someone pet his hair while another hand ran down his right shoulder, he spun around and he saw snake woman wearing flamboyant red clithes that seemed to burn her body but leave no mark or sign of pain. Next to her was Taea, who winked at him before floating closer. "Get away from me!!" he yelled as he grabbed and swung his spear in their direction, and they vanished the moment the spear came close. He was in a cold sweat as he was on the floor and looking at Emrelda, then Shrio. "Please don't tell me that you didn't see that...."

Emrelda couldn't believe that she was doing this but she transformed into human form. cupping his face with her hands, her amber eyes looked deep into his. "I didn't see them, nor felt them but I believe you Chrono...they are going to be a pain in the butt if we don't get rid of them soon" she gave him a compassionate smile. "Everything will be okay" she wiped the sweat from his brow then stood up. to her full human height of 5'11.
"We should set out at dawn, the sooner the better" she turned to her father "dad, we need to to do a dream guard so none of them cannot invade their minds as they sleep" Kamal nodded "that can be arranged" a cool grin began to spread across his face. Emrelda nodded "now if you excuse me... I need to have some private female time before the trip" she pulled her flowing red hair up into a bun. she walked through the cave wall to a secret passageway only Emrelda knew, she enchanted the cave so none would follow her here, she walked down the steps she built until she saw the crystal clear pond that sparkled, natural crystals gave off their own color of green, blue and purple soft light. she knelt down by the edge. a knife magically appeared in her hand. with a swift movement, her hair went from long to shoulder length(good for traveling). she stood up again as she removed her dress.
"Time to Regain some energy" she told herself as her human female self stepped into the sweet-smelling water. she began to swim in the cold water, occasionally diving under water
"Enjoying yourself?" a voice echoed. Emrelda snapped her head in that direction. then she groaned in frustration, as a tear jerking beautiful Raven Haired woman stared down at her with piercing green eyes floated barely above the water. "what do you want?" Emrelda snapped, sinking lower into the water. the woman smiled gently
"let talk about your fate shall we?", Emrelda crossed her arms "Fine...Aphrodite"
Kamal gave one last glance to Chrono...inside he thought to himself "that boy is in serious trouble...I must have Aphrodite speak with both Chrono and Emrelda tonight, with Shiro on the other hand, I need to speak with him when the time is right..."

Chrono calmed himself before getting up with his spear in hand, and walked around the cave until ending up in a library-like room filled with books. That was when the spirit in his spear oozed out of his hand to take her 'physical' form a few yards in front of him. Her look said her entire opinion on the room, but she noticed he was too busy marveling at the shelves to be even looking at her.
"I know what you're thinking, but you seriously think it would be that easy to read through the books in a dragon's cave?". He looked right at her, then broke out a dumb grin before saying:
"Theres only one way to find out, right?!".
He made his way over to the books he could sense energy from, and started there, but quickly realized the danger when he opened a book, and all four of the elemental snakes had appeared again, and knocked him to the floor. The spirit snake made her way to the book and shut it, dispelling the illusion Chrono put himself under. She lifted up the book and couldn't help but grin as she handed him the book.
"The first book you pick has 'Tome of Horrors' written on the front cover, how about we get Emrelda show you the ones that don't mess with the reader's mind?" Chrono reluctantly nodded, and Emrelda looked at the exit of the cave chamber for a few moments before changing back. Chrono took hold of 'her' and walked out the library.
I'll lead you to her location, shouldn't be that far away. He followed the tendril of red energy to a wall, and saw it go right through. He put his hand on the rock, but it didn't go through like he thought it would.
Care to explain why your tracker went through a rock? He thought before he thought the whole situation through.
Maybe theres a wa- he spun around to hear where the giggling was coming from, then he was pulled back through the presumbably solid rock wall and fell down the stairs to meet the floor below face-first.
Whatever happened after that was lost on him since he blacked out on impact.

The small cat jumped out of Shiro's grasp, stretching in the middle of the cave floor. He yawned, looking out of the cave entrance, and then back to his new master "Well... You have still failed to procure a fish... I shall go find one myself..." And with that he walked out, black tail flicking behind him as he went "Oh, and if you need me... Just call my name... I shall get try to get to you in the fastest way possible... "

Emrelda's jaw ticked when she heard the tumbling body, Chrono laid in a heap by the base of the stairs. didn't she make it clear that she wanted to be alone. Aphrodite decided to vanish, Emrelda pulled her body out of the water and summoned her clothes back on. she walked over to him and knelt beside him. "you know, you are really starting to piss me off" she said in a low voice. she eyes darted to the Spear. again that same, uneasy feeling washed through her.
"And you..." she spoke to the spear, her eyes narrowing "I find you untrustworthy" her sword, Fang appeared in her hand. it caught her off guard because the sword was pulsing with raw power...something you only felt rarely. the sword glowed softly with silver light. the pulsing grew stronger the closer it got to the spear.
Long time since I last saw her... the sword spoke in her head the voice was deep and masculine, but it was an older males voice It Irritates me that she got away from my seal..Dear Zoraida, but to trap herself into the spear to get closer to him the voice scoffed she can do better then that, since she is the eldest of the four sisters Emrelda stared at her sword "who are you?" she asked. the voice chuckled MY name Sinsherogosa...is Io, Creator of Dragonkind
Emrelda almost dropped the sword in shock and fear. here in her hand, all this time was her faithful sword...possesed by Io, creator of her kind. I think you should know about that spear...but let Chrono tell you when he is ready the voice vanished, but the raw power was still there. her hand shook, she couldn't let anyone know... not even Shiro who possesed her sword. Io wasn't the most powerful thing out there but his power was ANCIENT to have him close to her was blessing and a curse. she put away the sword and bent down next to Chrono, giving one last look at the spear, she shook Chrono.
"Wake up you idiot" she growled, she picked him up and turn him over, his body rested in her lap. she listened to see if he was breathing. she set him down. sighed then sat lotus style. lightly she began to play with his face. even when he was knocked out, she would never admit out loud that he was attractive for a dragon. she began slapping his cheek "hey wake up sleeping beauty" inside she found it entertaining to play with his face. nothing. she sighed and got up, thats when she summoned a ball of water and plopped it right onto his face (she made sure it was ice cold)

Chrono slowly woke up, although his vision followed the shaking Emrelda put him through and his speech was less than intelligible. However, before he could show how groggy his mind was, his spear left his hand and rolled off before changing into the robed form of Zoraida. "I said we should ask for your assistance in finding books that don't attack the reader, since he opened the 'Tome of Horror' that was in your library."

Shiro was watching Chrono, and laughing his head off.
"Wow... really? Come on!" he went over and took the book.
"Sheesh..." he opened it and the illusions reappeared and stabbed Shiro through the head and torso. He shook it off and the illusions vanished.
"You just need to know how to talk to spirits" he said grinning, and handed the book back open.

Emrelda raised an eyebrow. the spear transformed into a female...something, she wasn't human lets put it at that. she was beautiful though. she looked down at the unconscious Chrono. she felt irritated that he went through her library without permission. with her unnatural strength, she picked up Chrono bridal style. she knew they looked funny a human woman carrying a dragon looking man. she walked past Zoraida, eyeing her with molten amber eyes that met the maroon irises that stared darkly at her.
"Come on now...can you walk or should I carry you too?"
Careful Emrelda... Io's voice spoke in her mind from the sword. she could still feel the faint pulsing of raw power at her hip. it was not unusual to see a weapon take on its true form, during her traveling days she has seen worse. she walked up the stairs that would lead her to the library. once entered she carefully set down Chrono in a chair. she looked at the book Shiro had. she then sighed. "oh...that book, that was a gift from a Sultan in Sudan" she walked closer to Shiro "its not a book to take lightly, lucky here that Chrono survived" she looked back at her roommate "anything yet Shiro?" she asked "personally I think that book should be burned and left forgotten"
a violent pulse of Io's raw power shot painfully up her side. she didn't flinch though, just gritted her teeth.

Zoraida kneeled next to Chronin, and held a hand over his head as black-red energy covered his forehead, and then vanished as she took her hand away. She then lifted him up before sitting in the chair and cradling his head next to her face, nuzzling his face with pure concern, then shot a look in Emrelda's direction, but her sight was more focused on the blade she had nearby. He saved me from your prison, and treated me like I have something other than power to offer. Fate be damned if Gaea, Aphrodite, Taea, or any of my other sisters dares to touch a single thought in my Evrin's head!! she 'growled' at Io before re-directing her attention back to her now recovering 'owner'. He opened one eye, then groaned as he got up and looked right into Zoradia's eyes before she wrapped her arms around him.
"Malj'nahal, what happened?"
"You only bumped your head, nothing truly serious..." she said while still holding onto him.

Emrelda looked out the corner of her eye, Zoraida was holding Chrono like a passionate lover. then something clicked, she had seen Taea hold Chrono like that, it was identical. but she wasn't any of the elemental ones...it was the Spirit Oonagi. Io's voice chuckled in her head your very sharp Emrelda, I am pleased Io stopped and said something to Zoraida but Emrelda could hear him You were never prisoner my beloved...In case you were wondering, I a also sealed in this sword because this is the Dragoness I've been waiting for...you have seen her in previous visions before you have ever met Chrono yet you are wise not to attack the one who can bring you to your Destiny Io's voice was smooth yet fatherly. Emrelda looked confused What do you mean I'm the one to bring her to her Destiny?! Io sighed In time Emrelda...in time his voice faded. what he said sounded insane but the Spirit one who sat just a few feet away.
I'll let you go this time Zoraida, for now...but if you lay a violent finger on anyone, ecpessially Shiro, it will be your blood that will be shed
"Nice name...Malj'naha "Demon Striker" kind of a misplaced name for a spirit possessed spear" Emrelda gave Chrono a sympathetic smile "you had quiet a tumble when you fell down that flight of stairs, lucky for you that book also didn't decapitate you either" she walked over to the self since Shiro still had the book that she hated. she pulled out a scroll and opened it. she smiled in satisfaction.
"hey Shiro, listen to this...Zoraida, Taea, Ursala, Haanuna and Sita, the five diamonds of the Earth, Daughters of Io and Gaea...are the sisters that kept the balance with the world, Zoraida other wise know as 'Spirit' was betrayed by her closest sister Taea, who was suddenly blinded by the powefrul demon Lust...as for the other three, their tale is unknown"
Betrayal huh...I know exactly how you feel sistershe thought to herself.

Chrono was a bit lost when her 'name' was mentioned and translated for him, and then he looked right at her with shocked eyes. "Demon striker?" she looked at the ground for a moment while trying to remember the reason, then looks right back up at him. "It was supposed to mean Demonic striker, but our language isn't as varied as yours." she pushed her sleeves together as her hood hid her lightly glowing features. She then turned to look at Emrelda, and had a spark of worry in her eyes before she calmed herself down. "Fire and Water were at war with eachother for the simple reason that each was a great threat to the other. Earth might know what happened to Wind, but she will be difficult to rest-." she stopped for a moment as Chrono got up and held his arm around her shoulder. He then just realized Emrelda was in the room, and suddenly pulled back his arm, and got off the chair before gripping his forehead and walking out of the room, mumbling to himself all along the way.
He ends up at the spot where Zoraida confessed, and sat on the rock with both hands on his head. He constantly fought over the pros, cons, and experiences he had, and his attraction was completely even on both sides. "Zora. Emrelda. Zora. Emrelda. Why can't I have both and just spare myself the heartache?!" his question was more like a plea, since he doubted that Emrelda would willingly be with him and Zoraida...

"they are still sealed I believed." she handed the scroll to Shiro "try to find a hidden map or something" she strolled over to Chrono. she sighed, calmly and quietly she spoke
"Listen...I am somewhat attracted to you, but unlike Zora over there, I don't know anything about love or romantic attraction...its new" she gave a wary glance at the entrance, she knew Zora was listening she sighed "I have no idea what you like about me? its weird to have someone like you to feel some amount of attraction to..." she hated the word 'runt' but she was going to use it anyway "a Runt Dragoness that has some serious issues..." she smiled, then turned around to leave, she began to regret what she told him...she was EXTREMELY attracted to him...not somewhat...this was getting out of hand
do you want to know why Chrono likes you? Io asked, humor laced his voice. Emrelda rolled her eyes as she walked into the Library. but her curiosity took over why?
he laughed Simple, you are extremely beautiful, you can make any man feel proud and also you posses a human heart which is all the more desirable in you he chuckled thats just what I think
Emrelda walked back over to shiro I am not beautiful Io, besides how much does he really know about me? who would want a dragon with a human heart? Io let out a belly laugh. the sword pulsed in rythem with his laugh Maybe more than you think...Emrelda you are beautiful she had the sudden urge to throw her sword across the world as his voice faded with the last word.
she pulled back her now shoulder length hair. tied it into a tiny bun, gracefully she climbed a latter that reached a top shelf.
"Shiro, off topic but I have a gift for you...its a journal I found in Japan, might be useful" she grabbed the small black leather journal and threw it on the desk next to him. she shook her head, her mind was needing to be cleared. "why and how does chrono like me?" she said in a low whisper that was only barely audio able for her to hear. Right now the most important thing is that we figure this case to see what it actually going to happen...

Zoraida walked over to Chrono and sat down on the ground in the fetal position, not making eye contact in fear of keeping him from speaking his mind.
"Is there a problem with my name since you didn't say it all?" He looked down at her and chuckled a 'bit at the question, finding it somewhat humorous that the same entity that tried to pass itself off as a demon was now acting so conservative about her image.
"Zoraida fits someone who is of royalty or high social standing, but you look more like a 'Zora' since you never seem to be on a high-horse, or insists that her needs come first."
"So where does Emrelda figure into your fifty-fifty mentalty?" He was visibly shocked at how quickly she changed the subject, but tried to recall all the reasons why he liked her.
"The first impression I got of her was someone that didn't need the help of others to defend her own honor, then she also came across as strong since she could break out of my enhanced bind spell. Shes also very kind for telling me about her horn, which told me that I shouldn't give it away for some foolish notion like money since I already have a horde that rivaled England's wealth." Zoraida yanked on his tail since she could tell he was beating around the bush.
"She could be all that, but you would have already gotten rid of the horn if she wasn't beautiful, right?" Chrono was next to enter the fetal position, muffling his mouth and covering his face with his knees.
"Yes..."
"I didn't catch that, you said 'no'?" she couldn't help but smirk as he pulled his mouth away from his knees to almost yell his answer.
"I said yes, she is beautiful!" Zoraida got up and wrapped her arms around his chest while leaning her head on his shoulder.
Just remember, I'm fine with playing second to my Half-sister, I'm just relieved you actually find me attractive even though my robe covers so much of my body.

Shiro looked up from the book that Emrelda tossed at him.
"Well thanks... if its from japan then i don't know if i can read it... russian maybe, but.... OH." his eyes widened."It s using Morgan's runes... THAAT i can read..."
"Well... this wizard was a caster of sealing magic. He wrote down the formulas for his spells in here. It looks like a major seal for something extremely powerful. Almost godlike powerful."
he pored over it for a few minutes.
"Hm.... well i know where it is and how to open it, but not what is in it... it refers to the target as the giant Wyrm. Not worm, but Wyrm, like a giant...." he paused.
"Like a giant snake..."

Emrelda froze. she was beginning to wonder how she acquired all this stuff about this particular topic, intuition she guessed. Emrelda moved some of the ancient books and scrolls around. suddenly she heard a loud CRACK and Emrelda barely dodged a trap. the pointed stick landed on the other side of the wall and landed clumsily on the ground. she shook her head, she climbed down the stairs of the latter
"Chrono,Malj'naha ! if you are going to be here, might as well help out please" she called out,she gestured Shiro to wait as she escaped the library and into the treasure room. her treasure room though was not filled with gold coins and jewels...she hated those things. her gold a jewel chest is small and she only opens the tiny chest it when she is going somwhere...which he last time she went somewhere was 100 years ago. she walked straight over to her grand prize, the shelf that had scrolls from the library of Alexandria from her scholar days. lets just say...her treasure was knowledge. she wouldn't care if someone came in and took her useless gold and jewels chest. however on the other hand...knowledge was the one thing she did want. (for a dragon she is odd) nothing there. she looked around. something caught her eye that moved. it rolled around under the single Persian rug she had. she lifted it up. there laying under the rug with a bag that jingled with the sound of coins...was a funny looking gnome. the gnome opened his eyes and let out a high pitched shrieked. before he could run away Emrelda grabbed him by the collar of his dirty shirt.
"someone like here doing in a Dragons cave is pretty stupid" she said. he dangled there. squirming to get away from her grip. "SO!" he spat. "So what if I like to live on the high side of life" Emrelda let out a loud, bell like laugh. she was laughing so hard that she began to cry.

Chrono heard Emrelda, then nodded to Zora as she turned back to her spear form. He followed Zoraida's tracker to the treasure room, and resisted oogling at the books before heading over to the gnome that Emrelda held in her hands. "Oh, I know of a good recipie of gnome fillet, I just need to conjure up the spices with earth magic... that I currently can't access."

Emrelda was still laughing, the gnome had his arms crossed and stuck his tongue out at him "Emrelda wouldn't eat gnomes, were too greasy for her taste" he grumbled. Emrelda now giggling, covered her mouth. "And besides" the gnome gave Chrono a mischievous grin " if you eat me, I wont tell you the details of some of the things I have seen" he wiggled his bushy eye brows in a perverted way. Emrelda stopped laughing and began to squeeze him in a death like grip "and just how long have you been here" Emrelda's voice was now low and deadly. the gnome gasped a nervous laugh "about a year or two" a nervous smile played at his chapped lips.
"The Gnome fillet doesn't sound too bad now" her voice still low and deadly. the gnome lifted a finger "do know by any chance know how seductive you look right now Emrelda?" she only rolled her eyes, disgusting, why do all men have to act like this...she dropped the gnome on the table, but with her elegant index finger. she held him down.
"Anything else you wish to tell" he shut his trap and shook his head, stubbornly lifted his chin.

Chrono thought this entire situation was something out of a satire, and held up his spear, Zora could tell what she was supposed to do, and turned into a burning mythril sword, and let Emrelda drop the gnome into his left hand as he took grip of the 'demi-human's legs. "Miss Emrelda, in my pack there is three small bags, the red one has the spices." He said as he put Zora down and slid the pack off then picked up Zora again.

Emrelda knelt down next to the pouch, the gnome shouted in terror. "Wait, wait!" he pleaded "what id I over heard something from one of my gnome friends" Emrelda ignored him and she found the red spice bag, she opened it and took a sniff. nodding in approval "High quality" she gave Chrono a wink "seems like you have been to Middle East..." she sniffed again "Nutmeg, Tumeric, Allspice...a hint of Cinnamon and..OH! sea salt and black pepper" she walked back next to him "By the way, don't call me Miss" she shuddered "its to Formal, the servants in the heaven palace call me that, drives me nuts"
"Emrelda.." the gnome reasoned "you need to know something before I before your delicacy" Emrelda didn't look at him as she, put her thumb and index finger into the bag "and what is that?" she replied. the gnome sighed "what if there was a threat coming" Emrelda snorted "what is it then?" she dusted him lightly with the spice. he began to snap his fingers "it starts with an V...umm." he snapped his fingers again "Vakeed! thats his name, a powerful sorcerer!"
Emrelda's blood ran cold, her eyes grew so wide they bulged. Gnomes were cursed to tell the truth...she set down the spice bag. she bit her lip to keep from shaking...Vakeed was not only a sorcerer...but also a demonic dragon that was after her, she gulped "who is he?"

Chrono raised an eyebrow at Emrelda then tossed and cutting the gnome in mid-air. He handed the fillet to Emrelda on a plate, then handed her a drink of water. "Zora, extract the gnomes spirit if you will?" he heard her gumble in his mind, then the gnome's after-image appeared before Emrelda. He seemed rather startled that he was standing next to his cooked remains, but still able to see Emrelda. "Obviously he is a powerful sorcerer, and from the name I can only guess he is of draconic origin. You can ask the gnome anything you want before we send him on his merry way."

Emrelda glanced at the plate. she started to tremble, she couldn't beat around the bush on this one "I know Vakeed...he has a habit of collecting things... especially females, he has been after me for centuries...I know what he does to our sex, it gruesome, violent and horrible" she had to choke down vomit. if anything, a dragon should feel hatred towards him, not fear. her violently shaking hands raised and clutched the river stone around her neck. the gnome bowed his head " my friend did mention something about an Emerald Lady...I am supposing he is talking about you"
after all these years of peace, now she had two problems to deal with,
One: Oonagi and world Destruction
Two: A demonic dragon who wants her for his bed for an eternity
the gnome tipped his hat "well, I must say...your stunning beauty will catch any male eye"
a tear streamed down her face, he didn't just do anything horrible to her...that monster killed Emrelda's one, precious treasure out of jealousy...Isobel. the child's face appeared in her mind, she lowered her head to hide her tears...she didn't want to show weakness.

Chrono thought about the name and description of Vakeed, then remembered such an individual as he was working with that person for nearly more than half his assignments. "Vakeed, been about six months since I last saw him, he was a bit of a womanizer, but he said he was saving himself for a 'special green gal'. He wasn't really all that powerful when we ran our jobs. Then again, my view of 'powerful' is a tad bit different from most monster killers."

Emrelda let out a an agonized whimper. "he's a murderer...I don't know what is sooo special about me, and why that man wants me, but he did something that was unforgivable" she fell to the floor on her knees. she didn't notice that her trembling hand began to clutch Chrono's robe. angry, stricken with greif and scared "I should of killed him when I had the chance..." she felt so pitiful, weak... thats when she started to lose her consciousness

What did Vakeed do to you Emrelda? Io's voice asked, concern in his voice. Emrelda's body still trembled "I can-" slowly her vision faded into nothingness

Chrono looked about, then ate the gnome fillet before picking up Emrelda and taking her down to the hidden cave, laying her down by the water before changing Zora back into a spear. Father, Evrin and I will deal with Vakeed, please get Emrelda awake before then... was all that was said before Chrono rushed back up the stairs and out of the cave, keeping his own elemental strength down to that of a mortal with no magical ability. Zora encased him in an aura of spirit energy, and they both floated high above the cave and farther out.
Chrono knew Vakeed loved to swoop down on his targets, so he would have to 'join' him in the air...

Emrelda...Emrelda, wake up Emrelda opened her eyes, she let out a cry of agony as the image of the murdered Isobel laid in front of her cave
"SHIRO!" she cried. she needed him, her only friend who would understand that pain. Io let out a sympathetic sigh. Chrono and Zora are taking care of him... Emrelda didn't move. Zoraida, Emrelda is awake...I think we have hit an emotional trigger in the Dream Daughter, find out from Vakeed who this...Isobel was and what Vakeed plans to do with Emrelda, Emrelda won't tell
Emrelda got up and began to rush back to the library, Shiro was still here, she needed to get to him before Vakeed did, hopefully Chrono will hold him off, but if Vakeed found out about Shiro...hell will break loose
"SHIRO! SHIRO!" she continued to call, she ran into the library and grabbed his shoulders "come with me!"

Chrono floated in the sky as he could feel Vakeed approach. He could tell Vakeed had changed in the six month absence, as he was giving off an overkill of elemental energy. A combat-ready mage would never display their full power when travelling, so he knew something had upset him. But, he could also tell from the trajectory that he wasn't even being registered in Vakeed's "threat radar". So, Chrono only uncloaked his powers for a few seconds before re-cloaking them.
Vakeed changed his flight path from Emrelda's cave and went right for Chrono. He stopped right within ten yards of Chrono, then pointed a talon at him as if demanding something. "They told me you hold knowledge of the locks, tell me!" Vakeed demanded, obviously not in the mood for pleasantries.
"Six months and not even a single hello." He floated around Vakeed with an air of calm about him, even though his questions were demanding.
"Is Taea the one who found you and convinced you to find me?"
"Do not speak of her so casually, Mistress Earth is far more powerful than either of us!" Chrono had a cheeky smile as he poined at a green earring Taea had him wear when he undid her seal.
"Vakeed, this is my contract to her, if you wish to address her as 'Mistress', then I am your Master since I have her power linked to me." This only seemed to enrage the mage as he threw a rather large fireball at Chrono.
"You betrayed her love and her trust, you have no link to her!!"

Zoraida was the only one who could contact anyone while being so far away from anyone helpful. So, she made sure to keep her father informed of who Vakeed was. Vakeed never mentiond anyone of important named Isobel during his time with Evrin, but right now hes under Taea's influence. So, his priority is not Emrelda or Shiro.
"Very well, you shall test your power against mine, but all I ask is one question asked truthfully." Vakeed regained his composure, but was still furious at Chrono's outright defiance towards his 'Mistress'.
"You may ask, but Mistress Earth knows more than I."
"Who is Isobel?"
"I-Isobe-" Taea's influence seemed to wane at the question.
"What about Emrelda for that matter?!"
"E-Enough, that forest green wench means nothing to me!! Now die for your impudence!" Chrono held out his hand before firing an indigo beam right through Vakeed's shoulder.
"I liked it better when you talked after fighting... now leave before I put another hole in your body." Vakeed didn't budge from where he got shot, in fact he straightened himself out as a green glow emenated from the hole before sealing back up.
"Mistress gave me eternal life for my service, something that your contract alone cannot provide." Chrono sighed as his former friend was not only mind-controlled by Taea, but has flipped his personality to be at the beck and call of those he used to think so little of.
"She also made you into her *****, but I guess you could have just lost interest in getting a harem." Chrono was getting good at taunting his enemies, something he rarely did due to the danger of not being able to simply run away if it got too hairy...

Io's voice sighed looks like we are in trouble...Vakeed has been poisoned and won't talk...you wont talk... Emrelda sighed Isobel is not of your concern
now she is...who is SHE!? the voice was demamding, Emrelda sighed in defeat Isobel was my adoptive human daughter

Chrono had fired several anti-elemental beams through Vakeed, which seemed to actually knock some of Taea's influence out as he looked at Chrono differently.
"Brother, I truly do not wish to raise my blade, but my Mist-gaack!!" Chrono cut him off by firing right through his mouth, stopping his train of though and also disrupting her control over him.
"Since when did you let a woman order you around, especially when she likes me more than you?" That last statement seemed to bring Vakeed completely out of the 'poison', but the problom was for how long...
"Isobel, you said? Yes, I killed her, although more out of necessity than preference. Emrelda, my dear... I trouble you no more!" Chrono considered this a rant, but regained his focus when he noticed Vakeed raising his staff at him.
"Come 'brother', let us have a grand battle for I am still bound to that cursed witch's will!!" Chrono nodded with a small smile as both knew how this fight was going to end...

Shiro looked up at the rumblings outside the Library.
"Of all the confounded..." he stepped up to the doorway, his coyote paws stepping lightly on the cold floor. Eliza, his companion spirit, issued forth.
"Master, there is a fierce struggle ahead... i suggest you prepare yourself."
"Fine with.... Me" his eyes flared up with green fire.
He opened the door into the chamber and saw the fights. Fire lept up around the chamber and souls appeared around in silent vigil.
"WHAT is going ON in HERE?" he shouted

Emrelda followed shiro to where the struggle was. Chrono and Vakeed floated several feet in the air, she glared at the one person who ruined her life. when she heard the his words her body roared with rage "why did you do it Vakeed, why? Isobel did not harm you! she was just a child!"

Shiro looked up as he stepped outside, seeing the dragons fighting.
"Ugh... why does it always have to be dragons who fight..." he waved his paws in patterns, whistling under his breath a couple of tones, and drawing a symbol with burning green fire into the air. He made another gesture, and the spirits that had followed them outside gathered into a swarm, dove into the earth, and was silent.
Then a huge hand made of bones and spirits flew out of the Earth and wrapped itself around Vakeed, covering first his mouth, then his claws, then dragging him down to earth, sealing him in a coffin made of bone. He appeared in front of the cage and slammed his fist into the cage, and a huge Charter Magic seal appeared, holding the bones in place.
"That probably wont last very long... it was only designed to be sealed for a short amount of time. The amount of power he has is too great. I need a more powerful entity to seal this."
Eliza appeared, all ghosty in front of him.
"Find me Kitt, we will need him" Shiro said, and the spirit bowed and disappeared.

Chrono had felt it was justify to at least knock off Shiro's head, since he had basically knew that Vakeed had no real intention of living under the finger of Taea. Chrono 'flew' back down and whacked the blunt end of his spear into Shiro before putting a hand on the coffin to break the seal. "He wants to die by my hand, not stuffed into a box for the rest of his forced existance!!" He yelled before breaking the seal and shattering the bone-coffin. Vakeed had lain there for a few moments before brushing the bone chips off and flying back up, wanting one last fight before Taea finds him again. Chrono followed him, then they started trading blows once again, but Chrono had the advantage since his weapon was not only the same length, but also capable of inflicting deep wounds.
It was only a few more minutes before Vakeed slipped up and Chrono ran his spear right through him. Zora's presence in the spear became more pronounced as it had a white glow that covered Vakeed, and they both floated there for a moment before Vakeed's body slipped off the spear and plummeted to the rock below, but his spirit was preserved in the spear so he could speak with Emrelda when Chrono went back down to the cave...

She looked at Shiro and clutched his shoulder.a wave of relief and anger swept through her. she began to wonder...."How did Taea get ahold of him of all people" she looked at Shiro of an answer. Because he was desperate... no man can resist a seductive spell from a extremely beautiful woman...you are very seductive I might add Io spoke, I AM NOT SEDUCTIVE!
I must tell you this though...I think, maybe I am mistaken but Zora has taken quiet a liking to you Emrelda fumed don't change the subject, Zora is keeping herself from getting rid of me because...Chrono likes me and I can tell that she cares about him Io sighed You and Zora are alike in many ways... temperamental,to honest for your own good and sarcastic..but also both of you have a kind heart. but I must say this Emrelda, ever since your birth you have always been the compassionate, kind one Emrelda snorted That almost got me killed he laughed but its what makes you strong Emrelda, you may be different from all the rest of the dragons in the world but you know...its who you are....
Emrelda thought about that for a moment. the sentence 'who you are' repeated over and over in her head. maybe...but right now, Revenge is on my mind

As if one cue, the small cat appeared in front of Shiro. Blink, and you would have missed it. But he was there... "You called, master?" The cat coughed, a charred and blackened fish-bone falling out onto the floor... He smirked, looking around "I see that i have left for a few minutes, and suddenly dragons are dueling.... I say it doesnt seem as if you have everything under control here... master" He said the last word with extreme emphasis, and a little bow of his head.

Shiro looked down at the hole through his stomach.
"Thank you Kitt." he bent down and petted the cat. "Looks like you weren't needed after all. If you haven't found a fish yet, i'll go get you one. Just let me speek to emrelda first."
He turned to the dragon. "I think that voice in your head has already told you the answer." he grinned and pointed to the sword at Emrelda's hip. "You have to be more careful of how loud your conversations are.'

She didn't hit Shiro on the shoulder hard, she expressed how embarressed she was "Dont listen then" she bit her bottom lip as she felt a blush begin to paint her human cheeks, she fiddled with her pale, sweaty hands... she eyed the cat " there is a near by pond full of fish..." she nodded to the cat "you can check there" she looked up at the darkened sky. stars were now beginning to litter the dark cloak of night. in the distance she began to see hints of moonlight. she watched Chrono fly back to her cave. she preferred if she took out Vakeed...but she knew how disturbing that would be. she gave Shiro a gentle, apologetic squeeze before entering her cave, she entered in the hidden door way that led down to her secret cave, she wanted some privacy for only a moment. the cave was lit up with the beautiful lights that came off the blue, green, white and purple crystals. the lights seemed to dance off the water. this was probably the most beautiful thing she has ever seen. she sat down cross legged by the waters edge. she opened her hands, palms face up. she wanted to try something she hasn't done in a long time. she breathed in and out. slowly a small sapphire and silver ball of mist formed in between her hands, a voice whispered a long forgotten language.the air grew uncomfortably heavy with celestial power, the ball of mist grew bigger until it shape shifted with a beautiful metallic sound into a ball sized sphere, mist swirled around the ball and herself. on her body she began to see the familiar body tattoo's of a full celestial. what she was doing now was the most powerful celestial spell...a spell with no name, only it was known as 'The Pearl', only the Celestials knew what it can do. a small smirk touched her lips "this will help me to bring this whole Oonagi case to an end" with a clap of her hand, the pearl evaporated with a loud, thunderous clap. the air still heavy with celestial power, but her tattoo's began to slowly go away.

Chrono went over to the library, and waited for Emrelda to show up before he gives Vakeed a chance to explain himself. Zoraida however, had slid out of Chrono's hand, and carried Vakeed's spirit over to where Chrono's pack was. She opened it up and took out a bag filled with crystals, and put Zakeed into a black crystal before handing him to Chrono and sitting on the couch. Chrono joined her soon after as he felt that since she was his only weapon, she needed to be close to him at all times...

Still covered in the Celestial tattoo's, she walked into the library. she sat in the comfortable throne like chair. she saw the crystal and extended her hand. she noticed she still smelled of heavy Celestial power. "Lets talk now Vakeed" Io's voice chuckled Yes...lets, tell me how is my second eldest daughter doing? Emrelda eased back into her comfy chair "Tell me, whats gotten into you? along with the previous questions I asked earlier" her voice came out dark and...seductive though it was unintended she knew that this trick will work quiet well. Io sighed in content, he was proud of his wielder.

Shiro watched the pearl with minor curiosity.
"Well if you don't want people to listen, don't shout about it." he grinned.
"Come on Kitt, lets go get you a fish." he said and put the cat on his shoulders.

annoyed, she glared at Shiro "There is a lake down the hall, where I keep some of the most exotic and tasty fish, just don't over feed because I eat fish too" she noticed slightly burn marks from the pearl she casted earlier. "and also you shouldn't eves drop into my mind, the only person who is allowed to do that is myself" she stuck out her tongue in a child like notion, blowing a raspberry.

Shiro looked back and stuck out his own tongue. At the lake, he made quite an attempt to grab the fish, ending in his landing on his tail with a huge fish in his arms squirming around.
"This big enough Kitt?"

The burn marks on her hand were gone with a blink of an eye, she turned to face the black Crystal, her eyes narrowed but had a gleam of triumph and element of disturbing amusement "So...how does it feel to be dead?" she chuckled "If I were the one to kill you, you would of been slowly and horrific"

Chrono held the crystal up, and it flashed for an insant before Vakeed stood before Emrelda as an apparition. Guilt was evident on his face as his mortal body could no longer distract him with earthly desires.
"I know you don't want to hear this Emrelda... but I kept quiet for your sake only." He looked at Chrono with a hint of fear, but Chrono nodded his head for him to continue.
"Isobela, was already at death's door when you adopted her... I killed her to spare you the guilt of having her die in your arms. I doubt I'll have a pleasant existance for the crime I did, but I know it was the only thing I could do beyond letting her go to sleep and never awaken."

Emrelda trembled in sadness, her heart began to ache for the loss of her adoptive daughter "I would rather she rather died in my arms than be slaughtered as though she were a pig... why did you care anyway...I have seen what you have done to women, why am I so special?"
because you are pure Sinsherogosa she growled "shut up Io, I am anything but pure" tears streamed from her eyes, made the amber color sparkle. her face fell into her hands. "And also why is Taea soo...interested in Chrono?"

Vakeed put a hand behind his ethereal head as he tried to come up with a decent way of saying it.
"'Brother' is the only one who can exert dominion over her, and he is also the only one who was given knowledge of where the locks were and how to unlock them. My 'Mistress' thought that if 'Brother' died by my hands, I would be considered more worthy of the knowledge and she would then use me to free her sisters. But you have already seen what he is capable of without elemental strength, so Taea has all but given up on seducing him." Chrono put a hand up to get Vakeed's attention, then cleared his throat.
"What do you mean I can 'exert dominion' over Taea?!"

Exert Dominion...oh yes, she knew that well " It means that you must take over her, use her as if she were a slave...other wise also known as political rule" she lifted her head from her hands "you did some history studying haven't you?" she got up and picked out a book " year 413 through 512, I hope you were alive that year, when Empress Keiri Brygthwing was in power over Europe and half of Asia?"

Chrono nodded, even though it was usually Zoraida who told him about history. He tried to recall his lessons, and was able to remember the basics of invoking contracts.
Do not fear the power you call, the purpose of the contract is an alliance between the elemental and contractor.
He raised out his arms, and the looked at Emrelda with some nervousness before going through the summoning rites of the 'contract'. "Taea, gem of the earth, jewel of the Black Forest, and treasure of Gaea's earthen might: I summon thee!" Taea appeared the next second after he finished the rites, expecting him to have called her out in hopes of reconciling. However, she was in for a surprise when Chrono raised an arm and green circles appeared on her neck, wrists, and ankles. "Kneel before your master, Taea..." "Evrin, is that really ne-" Taea did as he commanded but anyone could tell she was fighting his dominion over her. Chrono lowered the hand and Taea quickly got up and lunged at him, but Chrono only whispered four words and she had vanished as quickly as she appeared. "I dismiss thee, Taea."
The next few moments, it seemed Chrono had put himself in a trance during the summoning as he shook his head and then stared around in confusion. That was when the realization kicked in and he felt guilt about his command. "Man, I really hope I don't have to do that again..."

Emrelda blinked before she burst out laughing, she stood up and placed a hand on his head, she leaned in close so they met eye to eye " good job, now you have one down and three more to go" she gave him a pleased smile, her hand trailed from his head to caress his cheek "Now, tomorrow, we shall set out to go get them, hopefully Taea will be of use" Io's voice popped up this is a good opprotunity for him, a beautiful wo- Emrelda cut him off not now Io she pulled away, her fingertips lightly trailed his cheek "Now, I think we should all get some sleep, its been a long day..." she walked out of the Library down to her now 'not so hidden cave' "you may sleep in this cave, its big enough to hold a village" she traveled down the steps and into the beautiful cave...sleep never sounded better. she founded a spot, she deided not to go into her dragon form, she would have to transform back anyway 'if' they ever did set out on a quest to deal with the other ones. she rested her head on a rock.
you know...I think you need a lesson in romance Io's voice called, Emrelda groaned "not now, sleep first" suddenly the sword glowed, shifted, to her horror, he took on the form of Chrono.
"Is this better?" Emrelda's hand transformed into her talon, she swiped at him, he dodged easily "your not funny Io, go away" she rolled over, not looking at him. she felt a hand snake around her waist and pulled her back to face him "GO AWA-" she was cut off by a kiss, her eyes buldged and after a moment of shock, she pushed him away with such angry force. "get away from me!" rubbing her mouth she curled up again. "you liked it" she didn't reply but fell asleep. she needed all the energy she could get for tomorrow.

Chrono could hear Zoraida laughing in his head since she didn't want Vakeed to hear her.

I couldn't help it, she was standing over the couch, otherwise I would be taller than her human state and could have resisted! She game him a look of doubt before Chrono released Vakeed's spirit from the crystal so he may ascend or decend to the place he truly belongs in. Chrono then fell to the floor as controlling something of that power did indeed take energy that he needed to stay awake. Luckily, he had Zora by his side to help him down the stairs, where they both slept by the water, Chrono resting upon Zoraida's soft-metal body.

Emrelda fell into a world surrounded by blue...she looked around as stars began to dance around her in a spiral dance, she spun around in place. suddenlt stopped as a pair of powerful arms, wrapped themselves around her waist...pulling her close to a body, she didn't look. she suddenly began to feel secure, safe and loved. she closed her eyes and rested her head on its shoulders.
"I am here for you my beloved" the male voice was new yet completely familiar...she opened her eyes "who are you" the voice chuckled as he hugged tighter "you know me my sweet, you know me very well" suddenly a feeling of pure sharp pain was shot through her. she looked down as she saw a long, blood coated...spear poked out of her torso. she staggered away, the spear was gone, but blood still oozed freely from her wound. she watched in horror as she saw herself not heal but continue to bleed. the being that stabbed her was still in darkness but she recognized the figure through her watery vision "why are you doing this?" she realized she couldn't say his name. he gave a sad sigh "because I was told too from behind the figure came four giant, cobra like snakes , all laughing triumphantly while one with sad and disappointed eyes stared at her with sympathy...
Emrelda woke up with loud gasp that echoed loudly in the cave. her body shook violently, she got up and dove into the clear water...accidentally splashing the sleeping Chrono and Zora. she dove deep into the water, she needed to clear her head as she recalled the dream...

The small cat sauntered around Shiro, inspecting the fish as it squirmed "Quite a catch... It will do..." He slashed one paw across its throat, a line of white fire tracing its route and cutting the fish's throat clean open. It fell still, flopping to the floor to be devoured by the black cat. He bit into its flesh, silvery white fangs gleaming as he talked between mouthfulls "I might have forgotten to tell you this... But i dont really need to eat, i just do so for pleasure..." He smirked, taking another large bite. Around the bite marks on the fish, its flesh was charred and blackened as if by intense heat or fire...

The moment Chrono got hit with water, he suddenly rose up, then tumbled into the water as he lost his balance. Zoraida woke up a 'tad slower, and was able to see her Evrin fall into the water rather rediculously. He rose back out of the water, soaked under the scales as he flopped against the edge of the water. "I say, this is rather embarassing." he mumbled before Zoraida lifted him up, and put a hand to Chrono's spine as she tapped into his fire magic to dry him off.

Shiro laughed a deep throaty laugh.
"Well you and I are in the same boat then. What use is food to the undead!" he sat down next to the cat as it devoured the fish.
"So, what's your story? You can't have just up and ran away from your master and found me."

The cat stopped eating for a moment, eyes wandering over Shiro. He shrugged, taking another bite from the fish "My old master was weak... A necromancer who believed he had all the power in the world... Arrogant fool..."
The cat smirked, taking another savage bite from the fish "He bound me to his will, rather clumsily I may add, in a belief that way i could not usurp him... He really was stupid... For if i have survived this long, with a binding as ancient as the earth is old upon me, what Is a small charter-spell of binding and mastery to me?"
The cat looked up, dark blood from the fish dripping down his chin "It is nothing to me... This pathetic charter... That pathetic master... He died... Quite horribly if i may add..." He paused, licking the blood from his paw "But the binding upon me will not allow me to be master-less... I must have an owner, or else the spell prods and pokes... It jabs and it itches until i find someone... You..."

after a little bit Emrelda resurfaced, this time as her true form, she walked out of the water, she gave Chrono an amusing smile when she saw Zora dry him off.
"I wouldn't sleep to close to the water if I were you" like a dog, she shook the water out of her scales and wings. she always thought that this water in particular gave her a rather shiny gloss to her emerald scales. she found another spot and curled up. the dream flashed back into her mind...those eyes. she opened one eye and looked at weapon and master...she silently gasped as Zora shared the same eye color as the ones who stared at her. she shook her head and closed her eyes. lifting her head, she let out a dragon yawn. resting her head on her tail, she began to purr.
"So Chrono" she asked "what do you look like with four legs instead of two?" even though she already knew that she would be tiny as always

Chrono waited for Zoraida to finish drying him off, then went up the stairs before looking back at Emrelda. He kept standing there, then decided it was probably better to tell her than give away his location. "If my parents knew what they were doing, I would be about two-thirds the mountain when on four legs. But since there is almost no place where such a size could exist quietly, I'd perfer to be two legs."

Emrelda was suddenly grateful for being small "the only place you would live comfortable in that size is in heaven or hell...entirely your choice though" she got up, stretched like a cat, transformed back into a human and quickly passed Chrono and into the library. she didn't stay long though, she decided that it was time for a snack.. she approached the pond, she looked around, and smiled as she caught sight of a colorful fish, like lightning, she caught the fish. she held the squirming being in her hands, brought it to a table and cut off it head. slit open its belly and removed the unneeded organs, after she scaled it, she snapped her fingers and a flame appeared. she dressed the fish with a special garlic sauce, some spices and put it on the hot pan that hovered above the flame. the fish sizzled, after a while, the yummy smell of cooked fish told her that it was ready. the pan and flame vanished and the cooked fish plopped onto a plate. cooked fish will always be her favorite

Chrono watched as she dashed off to go eat, which only seemed to drain him further as he headed back to Zoraida. Her eyes looked rather knowing, but also unnerving when she saw him sit down by the water and sat down with him.
"So, which one of is going first?" she asked as she leaned on his shoulder, and also caused him to shift a bit.
"Don't you think you're pushing it, I mean only five hours ago I discovered you were the opposite gender!"
"Yes, but I also kept my 'urges' suppressed until just five hours ago!! Come on, you're the only living male here!"
"Which means you'll get it when I decide to give it!" They argued like this for a good thirty minutes, then both went to sleep in almost the same position as before.

"Quite a history. Well you'll find that i am no such master. I would release you, however the last one i did that too promised profusely to not harm me or any other soul, so much so she swore on everything he loved and knew. Yet when her collar was released, I found myself in pieces and a nearby town destroyed. I had to follow the scar of destruction and put her down. She wasn't herself..." he shuddered at all the souls he had had to pass into the next world.
"No offense to you, but that is not a risk i want to take twice."

Emrelda finished eating and the plate dissapeared. belly full, she felt sleepy, she said good night to Shiro and went back down to the cave, she sighed heavily she laid down close to them. she fell asleep instantly.
Another Dream...only this time is wasn't violent. the area cleared until she realized that she was at a masquerade ball. she looked down at herself, she was wearing a emerald ball gown along with a matching mask...someone in silver swept her to the dance floor. the mans face was hidden behind a beaked mask. then let her go to be swept up by a dancer in gold, then black, then white. she looked around, looking for someone familiar. a lady in sapphire caught her eye. from the mask, she could see that her eyes were like a snakes. she let go of her dance partner and followed the blue lady. she opened her mouth and shouted
"Ursala!" the lady in blue only stopped for a moment, she grinned.
"Isn't this beautiful Emrelda..." she whispered, then sighed "If only he could see what I can give him..." she then looked at me "after I get rid of you" suddenly her gloved hand became claws, she dashed towards Emrelda, hand raised high. Emrelda tried to dodge but her body was too slow, the womans claws wrapped around her neck "Time for you to go home sweetheart"
Emrelda woke up. she was still laying down but her heart beated faster than usual...what the hell... she thought to her self, slowly she sat up, then froze. she suddenly saw how seriously close she was to the sleeping Chrono and Zora, practically onto oh the poor guy. she jumped back, then she heard a ripping sound. her dress got caught on something of his and ripped vertically all the way up her leg. she swore under her breath and sat down. a needle and thread appeared, she began to sew the long rip in her dress. she was a dragon yes but she gotta show some modesty (unlike the others she has met) she looked at the lake to see how it looked. her throat was covered in hand like bruises. she touched them lightly, they began to fade until it was normal. she shook her head...this has really got to stop she resumed sewing her ripped dress. her eyes caught sight of some of the dress that was caught on his silver button, she groaned when she realized how big of a piece was ripped off. she shook her head as she resumed sewing.

The small cat smirked, scratching at his collar "Well... You are not as stupid as most necromancers it seems.... If you did unbind me, make no mistake in that i would kill you and every other necromancer i could in a bloody path of revenge... ack..." The cat coughed, stopping mid-sentence... He sighed, grumbling to himself "Stupid binding, forces me to tell the truth to you...."
The cat took another moody bite from the fish, swallowing what was left whole... He smirked, moodiness gone "Mmm... Nice fish, trout if im not mistaken...."

Shiro laughed.
"Its okay, then i'll make sure to take care of you as much as i can so that your life in servitude is not hell." he scratched behind the cat's ears. He rose to a satanding postition, and turned.
"Its getting late. I know you don't sleep, so i will see you in the morning. Don't kill anyone, okay?" he said grinning

The small cat smiled, bright amber eyes flashing with ethereal flame as he turned and disappeared into the rapidly darkening night... "No need to worry... I wont kill anyone Important ..."
The cat walked a little way from the cave, and paused under the cover of a tree. A cold wind started to blow, and ice formed across the grass around the black cat. With a blink of the eye, it disappeared, leaving a small ring of ice. There was only one place the cat could have travelled to in such a way... The realm of the Dead....
In death, the light was fuzzy and grey, glinting eerily across the splashing and eternal river. The spirit known as Kitt strode through the water, great gouts of steam bursting up from where its boiling nothing-flesh met liquid. It stopped, looking down into the first gate, a waterfall that fell away into mist. It smiled, mouth stretching wider than humanly possible. It brought its two taloned hands up, and clapped them together once. The sound rippled through the water, and an answering ripple spread upwards in return...
Another spirit, darker and taller even than the first rose up from the river, parting the water like a veil. It opened its mouth, a single scream emanating from deep within along with a roiling wave of flame and stench of rotten flesh "I AM RELEEEASED!

Shiro sat there, and contemplated all that had happened this day. It was surely an odd one. Kitt arriving, Chrono attacking, Oonagi... sheesh! There was just so much stuff to take in. He walked back into the cave, throwing up his usual protection marks, and went in to see Emrelda. She was asleep. He sighed and moved to the door of the antechamber she was in and curled up on the ground. He dreamed a dreamless sleep...
until... a coldness washed over him. He dreamed of a tall dark figure. It was only for a second, then it was gone. He shivered in his sheets, made a mental note, and went on sleeping.

Emrelda focused all over attention on the rip in her dress, making sure that each stitch was perfect and sturdy. she began to replay the event in her head...by the gods...so stressful! she thought to herself I want to get this over with so my cave will be quiet again!

The cat reappeared into the living world with a flash and a freezing cold wind. He flicked his tail, shivering off a light dusting ice... Just as he was about to walk away, a clawed hand reached out from thin air, a hand made of roiling flame-flesh, accompanied by the sound of a roaring river of ice-cold water. The hand caught the cat by his collar, holding him momentarily in place as a voice of roaring fury accompanied the limb "REeMembEr OuR dEal We HAve FrEE MaGic SpiriT.... I dO nOt FaRE weLL WitH BetrayeRs..."
THe cat gave a sharp mewl, breaking free from the clawed hand "You need not worry... The people here are fools, and I have been growing stronger every day.... Our time shall come... Until then remember your portion of the deal as well, for i could still finish you off in your pathetic state Mara'Kesh!" The clawed hand recoiled, a pair of snapping fiery jaws bursting into being "hOw dO YoU kNow ThaT nAmE!?" The cat smirked, already slinking away into the dark "I know a lot more than people would give me credit for....Now Begone!...The plan is already set in motion..."

Chrono's dream, the one he had on the ship, had gotten back to the point where it was him against the four snakes. However, the story took a different turn as he reached out to the green snake, and then moved his hand towards the blue snake, a maroon glow emintated from the snakes eyes as it attacked the snake it was next to, leaving the red and white snakes as the only ones left to take down.
He lept towards the red one, but a gust from the white snake threw him off balance and the red snake knocked him back down with a swing of its head. He 'woke' up as soon as his body hit the dirt, and noticed he was in a bed with both Zora and Emrelda on both sides. In the new dream, the Oonagi were simply superstition and he was somehow mated to both of his love interests. Sadly, that was also cut short when everything stopped and turned a dark red.
You may have Taea around your finger, but fire and wind are not that easy to control, runt... he heard someone hiss as he finally woke up by the water and on top of Zoraida.
The idea of leaving the cave was beggining to be less appealing now that another snake had her claws on his mind.

Emrelda noticed that Chrono was awake. she didn't bother to look up though "Hello there, sleep well?" she continued to sew. by this time she was about to her knee. she gave a satisfied look to her work. "You looked like you had problems in those dreams of yours" she grinned. she glanced at the chunk of cloth the was wrapped around the silver button on his coat, she quickly reached over and snatched it.
"So, since you have Earth and Spirit under your control, what are going to do about Water, Air and Fire? Ursala is getting bold"

Chrono slowly got up, and spent a few minutes just trying to get over what just happened during his sleep.
"I know this sounds crazy, but I think the locks are the only way I can get control over them. But, the amount of power I can currently exert can only dominate one snake at a time. We don't have to put locks, just let me dominate them long enough to either drain their powers or-"
"When did you get that other earring?" Zora mumbled as she climbed onto him and tugged at the red earring that was right next to Taea's.
"W-what do you mean 'other earring'?!" Chrono said as he rushed over to the water, and saw all four earrings on his left frill.
"Talk about powerful, they managed to form a pact already?" She made it sound petty as she huffed and smirked at him.
"Lot of good that'll do since their power is locked up..." Her words didn't keep Chrono from bugging out as one snake appeared in front of him, another one next to Zoraida, one between Emrelda and Chrono, and one at the exit.
"You can't keep hiding forever, we'll just send more thralls until you decide to return our love... Evrin Blackwyng" they all left, and Chrono had passed out from a mix of stress and fear.

Emrelda was starting to get annoyed...very annoyed. all four just appeared and disappeared. a low growl rippled from her human throat. she rubbed her temples, keeping herself from saying something she shouldn't. when she heard the name Ervin, thats when everything sort of just...meshed together. Ervin Blackwyng...her father would talk about him rarely but he would say in a angry tone.
"Ervin...Blackwyng" she said slowly and coldly. she pushed her shoulder length hair out of her face and sighed heavily boy, that name used to be feared for centuries...you must of heard of him due to your father Io's voice was low and thick. and also I must say...my daughters are getting desperate for him Emrelda growled why couldn't you just have Zora instead of the other three? Io chuckled nervously you sometimes just can't refuse such a lovely opportunity Emrelda knew what he meant, she growled in frustration. "Men are so frustrating" she mumbled out loud, she then chuckled "but then again, they find me a pain to be around" she said sadly. Emrelda will never admit it but...after all, the life of a hermit comes with a price of loneliness to pay.
"Shall we get moving before they decide to destroy my cave?" she asked the pair in front of her "or shall I go out of my way to clean this up myself?"

The small cat sauntered through the forest, nearing the cave entrance... As he walked, the cat hummed under its breath. Although there was no one nearby, if they had been close enough to hear, the cat was humming a funeral march....

Once again, Chrono was slapped around by Zora until he woke up, and she whispered into his ear before she got off him and turned into a spear.
"Siberia is first, then Egypt, then... Venice?" He couldn't remember where the water Oonagi was, but he figured it was somewhere that was abundant with water. He started up the stairs, then stopped halfway before looking at Emrelda, then at the sword she had.
"Before you question my former name, why don't you ask Io why the Blackwyng exist?" he yelled before leaving the cave and went outside...

Io let out a booming laugh be glad to little man he said in a dark, teasing tone. Since I created your race for a reason that is now lost Emrelda suddenly became curious. Io sighed and began After the Seven Years of War...I created Ervin's grandfather, Seiji and his Grandmother Kana. their job was to destroy all the races that needed to be exterminated. they did the job perfectly, but I did not realize that they were plotting against me since they also wanted to be Celestials like us...I figured out their plan. and I cursed them

Aye, the curse was that by the fourth generation...they could never reproduce with his own kind again Emrelda though for a moment Is Chrono...I mean Ervin the Fourth Generation? Io sighed heavily he is...thats why he is franticly searching for someone, and this is where you come in
Emrelda groaned, angrily she threw a large stone, it hit the wall and burst into small chunks Okay then, then why is Zora here, we can all see obviously that she loves him, I barely even know him, much less want to help birth his kids, I just want my Isobel back thats all
Io sighed, the sword glowed white and took in a form of an older male. wearing golden robes. his purple eyes showed sadness "Zora is Dying Emrelda..."
she blinked, with a lowered voice "why?" she asked "She is still so powerful...Ervin and her have been together for who knows how long"
Io nodded gravely"Yes...I know,she can never have the choice to be with him because either she shall die...or she will live but must return to the spirit world"
"Tragic" Emrelda muttered "Kinda like what Happened with Shiro...he can't be with anyone because he is dead" Io gave Emrelda a pleased smile "Their stories are tragic my daughter...but if anything, you have gone through something far different then they can imagine" his smile faded "I can't imagine what it must of been like switching hearts"
the brief memory of the unbelievable pain shot through he mind. her chest clenched, she grunted. "Try to imagine every possible painful thing combined all at once and spread through out your body" Io winced. "Does Shiro know?" Emrelda shook her head "no...I can't bare to lean on others for support"
"Tell him, I will not speak a word to Blackwyng about this conversation, I know for a fact that if he finds out, he will not be pleased"
"Why would he care? whats so scary about a dragon having a human heart and soul?"
he boomed a laugh " you know how to weave your way into peoples hearts with your oh so charming personality"
Emrelda was tempted to bite him but a cold feeling of dread washed through her "say...Io, do you trust that free spirit that Shiro has now" Io's face grew hard "Shiro is in for something more than he bargained for...we all are"

The lump of fur on the ground in a corner rustled. Hearing the commotion, Shiro stuck his head up out of the bundle of torn and patched blankets he had. He had been offered better ones, but he preferred his used ones. He looked around, yawning sleepily, seeing how he had to try very hard to actually fall asleep. He stood up, lost his footing, and held himself up on one of the walls.
"Ooooh..." he murmured to himself, putting his paw on his forehead.
He moved over to his little backpack and pulled out a kettle. Shiro drew out a charter mark of fire, and set the kettle on, warming himself to the steam coming out of it.

The small black cat walked over to Shiro, watching as he warmed the kettle with a charter mark for fire and heat. The feline purred in response to the small flare of magic, tasting the air with his bright pink tongue. He smirked, looking up at Shiro with a strange mixture of affection and hilarity "A necromancer who drinks tea? My, my... You are a novelty arent you..." The cat shook himself, a light dusting of ice falling off his fur like shimmering snowfall. The bell on his collar let out a ringing peal, echoing throughout the cave far longer than any natural sound should. The cat started grooming his fur, just like a real feline, rather than a creature of elemental free magic and flame...

Emrelda decided to leave the free spirit out of her mind for now. she returned her focus to Io
Zora, she must feel so heartbroken that she has to die...how long does she have?
Io ran his fingers through his hair if she does not return to the spirit world where she belongs...within the next two months, she shall die. slowly she will show signs of weakness untill her power has completely escaped her...there is nothing that can stop it, not even love he sighed again First...her sisters will attack once they sense weakness, then they will go after you
being dragged into the mess that was so called 'Destiny' was not her cup of tea. Ervin isn't showing that he likes me, I am not convinced at all Io and you know well that I do not handle Trickery well
Io nodded "Zora knows but she refuses to believe it...but soon, very soon it will begin" he transformed back into a sword shall we get moving?
Emrelda retrieved the sword, sheathed him. her dress transformed into comfortable, pants, boots, a tunic, with a belt and a green corset over the tunic. she walked up the stairs, through the library towards the entrance of the cave.
flying? Io asked. Emrelda chuckled, "Nope" she brought her pointer finger and thumb to her lips. a loud, shrill whistle escaped, it echoed through out the forest. then she waited. she heard the sound of hooves, she smiled as a beautiful,pure black horse galloped in her direction. the horse slowed down to a dance like trot. "Hello Shadow...my old friend" she hugged the elegant horses neck. ah yes...I remember her
"yes...my friend through many adventures"

Shiro sipped his tea and looked with a grin at the cat. "Well i guess so. Tea is one of the few things that keeps me sane. Kinda like an emotional anchor." he whiffed in a scent of tea and murred softly. "Reminds me of home"

Emrelda led Shadow into the cave, from one the rooms she retrieved a black saddle and bit-less bridal. Shadow let out an excited whinny. she waited patiently as Emrelda brushed her. she placed the blanket oh her back, then the saddle, lastly she put on the bridal. Emrelda skillfully held onto the spirited mare reins as she reared. then pranced in place. Emrelda checked Shiro's dark brown charger. the horse waited patiently as she brushed him down. the horse let out a relaxed sigh. once she was done, she walked to where Shiro sat. she gave a emotionless glance over at the black cat. a cup appeared in her hand. she pour herself some of the tea.
"Its strong" she commented, she took a sip of the hot liquid, it was strong in flavor, she nodded in approval "sleep well?"

Emrelda didn't like the idea of being stared at. her molten amber gaze lasted only for a second before she returned to her tea. not feeling up to a staring contest. Shadow nudged her back with a low whinny. Emrelda began to stroke her muzzle "I know, I know" she said, the horse was anxious for an adventure just as much as she was.
"well...are we ready?"

Smirking, the cat uncurled and stretched languidly "Well I'm ready so long as my master is..." He looked over at Shiro, still smirking as the little bell on his collar rang quietly.
The cat looked back up at Emrelda, walking slowly around her "My, my... I havnt seen a Real dragon for maaany years..." He stopped and gave a wide smile, showing bright silver teeth made of ethereal flame and smoke. The cat licked his lips, and in that smallest of moments his teeth where back to pearlescant white, but no less sharp...

Emrelda's cat like pupils enlarged. she smiled, but this smile was much wider than any normal human smile. her teeth were sharp and pearly white. her irises went from amber to a bright gold. a low purr like growl rippled softly from her throat.
"what makes you say that?" she asked "but I must say its been a loong time since I saw a free spirit" she recalled the memory "if my memory serves me right...the las time I saw a free spirit was when I was in Persia and a fool of a necromancer was killed along with half of the city for a reason I am unaware of and I technically don't really care since he is dead anyway" she chuckled, her face returned to her normal human look
"Tell me...when was the last time you saw a real dragon..."

The small cat smirked... The smirk turned to a smile... And the smile to a full blown cackling laugh "Persia?.... " He paused for a moment between little chuckles "My, my.... I am quite famous arent I? My dear Draconi, I was that free magic spirit in Persia..."
The cat smiled, licking his lips as if relishing an old memory "Yes.... But i was much stronger then... And the necromancer an old fool... Today is different... I am a dying breed, as i believe are you..." Pausing to stretch again the cat cocked his head to one side "As for the last dragon i saw? Years and years ago... Eastern Europe if I'm not mistaken, a Wyvern technically, but draci are draci in my eyes.... "

Emrelda let out an amused chuckle. "well then, its a pleasure to see you again, I did have the honor to meet Draconi...a have never met a man in my life who was so full of himself" she sipped her tea, then exhaled "my kind is dying...we are hunted for our hide because it's excellent for summoning large sums of armies for Necromancers and for shamans, they smoke it so they can at least get a brief look at the dream world which mind you, is extremely dangerous" she sighed in annoyance
"I am one of only three celestial heiress's...the rest are male fools who can't control themselves" she stroked Shadow's strong neck "Thats why I preferd the hermit life, the last dragon I saw was 500 years ago, red dragons are a pian in the rear"
she looked down at Kitt, a smile played at her lips "I once did have a conversation with a free spirit...her name was Heela, she found me amusing so she let me live, the meeting was purely accidental...though I must say for a cat, she was quite the man eater"

The small cat stopped smiling, a loud cough catching in his throat as he looked up at Emrelda "Heela?... Did i hear you correctly?" The cat flicked his tail in annoyance, still staring at Emrelda "Let you live? My, you must have been very amusing for that to have happened... "
Frowning, Kitt stretched yet again, growing in size and shape until a black cougar of smoke and shadow stood where the small cat had but a moment ago "Me and her have quite a history... I must say it is rather strange, these chance meetings..." The cougar grinned, a tongue made of silver flame licking across his lips "Almost as if it where planned....."
The grin dissapeared, and the cougar shrank until all that was left was a small black cat licking his paw happily. He looked up at Emrelda, and flashed another one of his bright white smiles. Though it seemed insane, and perhaps she hadnt even seen it, she could have sworn the cat winked....

Emrelda let out a low sigh, almost like a purr. planned huh... she thought to yourself. "Heela just finished eating a group of bandits when I walked along" she frowned "very grusome sight, though she said that not only was I amusing but 'interesting to look at' as well...she told me she has a knack for...pretty things" Emrelda shuddered slightly " by 'history' were you friend or foe?"

Though i do not plan on meeting her any time soon.... not so long as she has this..." Kitt lifted one paw, extending his long claws. They flashed with silver fire, before turning back to normal white. One, the middle one on his left paw, was missing...
"It takes a lot to permanently injure a free magic spirit... while in the realm of death we rejuvenate and recuperate... but not this wound it seems... And she still keeps the claw, swearing that if ever we cross paths again she will add my tail to the collection..." He dropped his paw back to the cave floor, wincing as he looked down at his tail "Despite being a creature of flame and malevolent evil, ive grown rather attached to this tail..." He smirked, looking up at Emrelda with one bright amber eye...

Shiro looked up after he finished his drink.
"Ugh... okay awake now..." he shook his head. "Well, if you two have finished your chance meeting, where shall we head too?" he looked up and grinned. "I didn't know you two had met."

Emrelda patted shiro's back "well, it was a long time ago, I met his master, not him" she grinned as she stood up. Shadow pranced in place. she led her out twords the entrance to the cave. "CHRONO! we are leaving now!" she called
don't be so rash my dear girl... Io chuckled, Emrelda rolled her eyes "I want this to be over with"

Chrono nodded, and was already out the cave before taking flight. He wasn't one to simply walk if he had the energy to fly or if stealth was not needed. Vakeed thought he was an odd dragon, he cared little for money beyond bartering, humble when it came to his own past and strength, but increadibly stubborn about walking, running, or riding any transportation beyond his own wings.
Just like Io said, Zora has endangered her existance by staying out of the spirit realm. However, if she ever felt weakness, she could leave the spear and slip into Chrono, using their life-pact as a link to the spirit realm while she guards his spirit.
I still want you to go back to the spirit realm. I can handle myself for a month while you regain your strength, okay?"
Its not that I'm worried about you. Its more like that I don't want Emrelda making a move while I'm gone. Chrono smirked, but he still wasn't having her endanger herself for the fourth time if he could do something about it.
Zoraida, you may return to the spirit realm before I call on thee again. Zoraida's presence had vanished from the spear as she was sent back to the spirit realm, only able to see through his eyes and hear through his ears until she was called on again...

Emrelda gracefully mounted her spirited mare. Shadow reared again whinnying before jumping into a full gallop. Shadow was faster than the most well bred breed of horses. Shadow kept an easy pace with Chrono.
are you going to make a move on Chrono? he asked, Emrelda frowned "no, he seems occupied with Zora...besides, they know each other like the back of their hand, there is no reason for me to step in" she steered Shadow to an open feild. the mare became frisky and galloped faster.

"yeah right" Emrelda snorted "he seems pretty infatuated with her" Io groaned darkly you are also his love interest Emrelda shrugged "and?"
knowing Chrono or a.k.a Ervin he is probley gonna take the opprotunity now to make a move, even if you don't

Io said nothing after that. Emrelda stopped Shadow, who grunted in annoyence. she looked eastward...Siberia Russia... place number one

Chrono looked down at Emrelda, then floated down to her.
"It'll be easier if we go through the Americas, theres no Oonagi in that territory." He said before pointing behind Emrelda.
"Of course, your horse would have to grow wings or change its hind legs to a fin in order to ride her to there. But, we won't have to deal with 'accidental' encounters with Taea and the other elemental sisters." He only explained this because he still had a fear of them, regardless of the fact that he can't fall for their seduction magic.

Emrelda stared at him for a moment, her amber eyes turned a wine red " I sense fear Ervin" she said sharply. she got off of Shadow and landed silently, she walked around the big horse and stood in front of Ervin, looking up at him "listen, the reason why you are so easy to find is because you don't know how to block your mind" her tone grew low and hissed "and frankly, taking the route through the America's is a waste of time! its ticking and we don't have much longer before %$#% happens. and I know this, the Oonagi have enough power to find you anywhere in the world! right now there is no such thing as safe"
she sighed as she rubbed her temples, her sword took form again
"Ervin, right now, the seals are weakening, soon enough even they can break free without your help, I suggest that right now you go to London and settle things there" Io returned to being a sword.
"you need to lay low as much as possible, you can fly for now, but I suggest you go under cover and become more human" she turned back to her horse
"oh! and by the way"
Shadow's mane, tail, hooves and nostrils suddenly burst into flame. "Shadow is a nightmare, not a horse...though they do have the same qualities and anatomy, just that Nightmares can run faster and are much desired war steeds...so I guess you cold say...she is different breed of equine"

Shiro pulled out a charter symbol on a piece of paper and threw it on the ground. Sudenly green hellfire flew up around him, and a skeletal rotting beast with vampire teeth appeared.
"Behold, ABADDON! i summon thee in a form for travel to bring destruction on my enemies." he drew a knife and stabbed himself in the hand and blood driped down.

"eeh..." Emrelda gave Shadow a guick glance, her steed wasn't in its awesome fire form.she raised an eyebrow at Shiro.
" Shiro..." her voice trailed off. she sighed and shook her head. from the saddlebag she pulled out dried meat or jerkey, her teeth ripped it, slowly she chewed the salty, dried flesh of what used to be a deer.
"I wanna get going, so please be quick"

He grinned back at her. "Eh its okay. We can go nao." he patted his stead and jumped on. The beast growled and snapped, then was docile.
"Where are we headed off first?"

"Siberia, Russia...its closer" she gave a knowing look to shiro. biting her lower lip as she mounted Shadow

Shiro shuddered.
"Back there? Well..." he considered for a second, mulling it over in his head.
"Okay... if we must."

The small cat followed dutifully behind Shiro, watching as he summoned a steed. He sniffed, tasting the charter marks in the air with his tongue and smirked "I do not think i will ride with you if that is okay master.... I feel like i want to stretch my legs a bit..."
The cat smiled, tendrils of smoke and darkness twisting around his form and growing, until eventually an equally dark leopard with silvery spots stood beside Shiro's horse. The leopard smiled, yet again showing fangs made of crackling flame and a tongue of white fire "I shall run...."

Shadow whinnied reared again, anxious to get going, Emrelda gave Chrono one last annoyed look before she finally kicked her mare into a gallop, the black mare practically leaped into the gallop.
"hey Shiro! wanna race?" Shadow grew excited, her mane, tail, nostrils and hooves burst into flame again.

Chrono wanted to act insulted, but the truth did hurt his pride as a slayer. He was afraid of getting raped the moment he was in arms reach of them. However, his long suppressed sense of humor forced him to snort and laugh inwardly at the prospect of death by fornication.
"Very well then, but I get all rights to say 'I told you so' if this turns sour!!" He yelled at Emrelda before leaping into the air and spreading his wings for his journey east. London, like most major cities in each country, was just a location for one of his hideouts no matter how extravagant it was.
I can always rebuild when this whole problem is fixed...

The daemon beast roared and spat acid.
"Very well, if you insist." with that, and incredible speed, the demon bounds away leaving a small trail of acid from its gaping maw.

"Very well Chrono!" she agreed in a howl over the wind rushing past her. Shadow caught up with Shiro's beast easily. she couldn't help but feel smug. a trail of smoldering hoof prints were left behind. Shadow was trained since birth for speed. Nightmare's were savage animals, many mistaken them for demons, but in reality they come from the dream world...Emrelda's world. Shadow easily kept the pace head to head with the demon steed. she looked up at Chrono and smiled. she leaned in and whispered something in Shadows ear. the mare roared to life, she whinned loudly as she gained speed and was ahead of Shiro by about three feet.

Shiro's stead belched fire and scorced the earth behind it. The beast lept forward and dug into the earth throwing itself 80 feet in front of the steed

"Oh you little..." Shadow galnced over at Emrelda, her eyes begging. She nodded. Shadow let out a strange sound. the flames rose higher and her speed catched up easily with the beast, they met head to head...

The black leopard darted between the two steeds, dark shadows writhing and tumbling behind and around it, so it was hard to tell whether its feet actually touched the ground at all. The free magic spirit overtook both steeds, leaping through trees and obstacles that where in its way, re-forming at the other side of the tree trunks like liquid darkness or shadow... The leopard smiled, sparks and flames licking from its jaws as it ran faster and faster, the bell ringing on its collar louder and louder....

Shiro ducked and weaved through the trees, the steed occasionally clawing huge marks into the ground. Shiro looked over at the nightmare and grinned
"Nice steed!"

"Thanks! not something you see everyday huh?" Shadow still kept the pace with the demonic beast. the hoof prints that she left behind were catching flame.
"Good girl" Emrelda whispered in Shadow's ear.

Chrono was getting sick of their petty game, not that it was childish, but their leads were far too small to be worth gloating. Since he came here, his air-magic was not witnessed by any other than the now dead Vakeed. Which, is why it was a rather big upset when Chrono did a roll in mid-flight, and shot forwards about four hundred meters ahead of Emrelda and Shrio.
"Eat my tail-wind!!" he yelled as he passed Emrelda with a smirk.

Emrelda growled "I didn't invite you to this race!" she yelled loudly. but she let out a laugh. suddenly a sharp shot through her body from her side. it threw her off Shadow. she fell into a heap on the ground. Shadow stopped and reared, neighing loudly. Emrelda sat up. an arrow stuck out of her side. slowly she pulled it out. the arrow was green and heavy. from her body, clear liquid poured out of the already healing wound.
poison? she thought as she got up. she looked around, she sniffed the air. nothing...this was disturbing. but she clutched the arrow. Shadow came up and nickered with concern. she mounted the black mare before slowly continuing. something...or someone was out there

Shiro looked back at the horse which had inexplicably stopped all momentum. The daemon, urged by its master, skidded 30 feet into a tree, lept up and bounded back towards the fallen rider. Shiro got off the beast and ran to Emrelda's side, seeing the arrow protrude out of her side.
"Ooooookay? Will this day get any wierder?" he muttered as he picked up the arrow.

Poison still oozed from the wound. there was allot of it. she tasted the poison, then spit it back out. she knew that poison, it works only on her now dying race. there was only a solution that popped into her head. she took the arrow from Shiro. aimed it and threw it back in the direction it came. it dissapeared behind the bushel of tree's. at first, nothing, then she heard something fall. a human body fell to the floor, she smiled
"just as I thought, company"

Shiro reached in and pulled out his cleaver, covered with a steaming, green liquid. Plague.
"Do you have the poison handled or do you need my assistance." he said as fire lept to his eyes.

Kitt leapt up beside Shiro, the small black cat re-formed, black smoke changing shape and size until the spirit was even taller than the steeds beside the group. Roughly human shaped, a figure of utter darkness and roiling spirit-flesh grew into a tall standing position, long taloned arms trailing low to the ground. It opened its maw, jaws parting to reveal scorching flame and sparks that burnt the grass in front of it.
"Do you want me to... Disembowel.... the 'company' master Shiro.... It has been a veeery long time since i last tasted human flesh...." The free-magic spirit turned to face Shiro, despite having no visible eyes, the tang of free magic burning at the back of everyone's throat as a tongue of silver fire lolled out of the mouth, tasting the air "They are close.... And they tase.... Niiiiiice..."

"You can eat that dead one" Emrelda smirked though "I'll take care of this though..." Emrelda speed to the tree's in a blur. from outside of the tree's. there was a loud, terrified scream and Emrelda's flute like roar. the leaves rustled and twigs snapped. from the tree's echoed a sickening snap and crunch. then silence, deathly silent. Emrelda hopped down from the tree's. no trace of any blood on her expect for the splatter across her front, over her shoulder was an unconscious boy about fifteen.
"I spared the kid, he was already weak stomached when I returned the arrow" she looked at Kitt and smiled "i was surprised that a couple of the humans were actually rouge black elves in disguise...eat your fill, if you want them, they are just going to rot anyway" she walked back over to shadow. wiping the blood off her front clean, she slung the kid over the saddle.

The free magic spirit gave a low gobbling sound, sparks spitting from its open jaws "My fill?... This is just a snack for the road my dear Draci...." With that Kitt leapt up into the trees, returning to his normal feline shape as he did so.... From behind the branches and leaves came a sickening crunching sound, followed by sizzling like meat burning in a fire. And with that he returned, licking his dark lips with a silvery tongue "Not bad at all.... Though i do wish you would have let me eat the boy too..."

Emrelda shook her head "nope...he has a whole life ahead of him, he deserves to live" with that she urged Shadow into a canter.

Chrono, being too far ahead of everyone else to notice that they had stopped moving, was all alone in the sky, and his thoughts started to wander.
How long have I been alive, its only felt like thirty years. For that matter, how did I even know that the sword was the 'Father of Dragons'?!He slowed himself down as he was thinking, before floating in the air. Then he decended down to realize that he had now ended up on what looked like the beaches of France. He was able to confirm this, as he turned around and saw that England was just across the Channel.
Should I wait, or... the thought trailed off as he turned east again to continue flying to Siberia, alone.

Emrelda noticed that Chrono was not in sight. due to his magic flying abilities, he was probably long gone. she grumbled "Looks like Chrono decided to get bold and put himself at risk" she sighed "probably not going to London"
she groaned again, the young lad shifted but did not wake.

Shiro sighed.
"You know, you never let me have ANy fun." the fire dying down in his eyes. He walked over to the ashes of where Kitt had feasted. He left some words of guiding on them, and turned.
"Okay, when the little one wakes up, we have to find out what he was doing here. And how they knew you were a green."

"Fine, you can do the questioning, lets keep moving though,Chrono has gotten ahead!" Shadow still Cantering. the little slightly bounced in the saddled, she re-positioned the fifteen year old in the same sitting position. his head resting on her shoulder. she urged Shadow back into the gentle canter. the mare let out a bored sigh.

Shiro looked over at the corpses. "Kitt, you and Emrelda go ahead. I'll catch up." he looked over at the corpses and sat down among them, his mind searching for souls.

Chrono kept on flying, but noticed the Wind Oonagi had picked up his spike in wind magic as she was right now 'flying' with him with a seductive smile on her face.
"I suppose you came to visit me, but I must bring to question: should I welcome with open arms, or with my sword drawn?" was all she said before one of his earrings glowed and he felt like he was being pushed much farther than he was used to.
"Either way, its nice to meet the one whom my elder sister is so devoted to..."

Io sighed and continued I was going to visit her, but the gate is completely sealed. I can't even open it, none of the spirits can get in or out...not even the greatest god can open it.

Even worse...the seal is blocking the energy she needs to revive herself...she is fading fast, she can't get any word to Chrono which is also bad

Kitt followed Emrelda, changing form back to a sleek black panther. The free-magic spirit loped alongside her steed, easily matching its speed as dark tendrils of shadow passed around Kitt's chosen form. The feline leapt up behind Emrelda, startling her steed as he took the shape of a much smaller black cat again. He mewed, curling up "If you do not mind... I think I shall ride for a while, though I do not require it, sleep is indeed very enjoyable..."

Emrelda raised an eyebrow "the saddle bag would be much more comfortable" she shrugged, the young lad, still unconscious, lightly groaned. "but if you prefer there, be my guest"

Chrono was confused when he felt a presence enter his spear that wasn't Zoraida, but that had to wait as a loud hiss ripped through the air while Sita 'lunged' at him. The imagined idea would be that he was sent straight to the ground, but the actual 'attack' sent him much farther than he would see as possible. In moments he crashed through the wooden gates of an 'abandoned' Russian castle, and was now laying on the ground as his dazed vision could only make out snow falling down.
I also know about our other sister, but she won't be showing up for another- lets just say you'll be mine long before she finds this castle

The black cat mewed, looking across the horse to where Emrelda had motioned. There indeed was a saddlebag, and in moments it was occupied by a cat "Yes... This will do nicely... Do make sure and wake me if anything interesting happens... If someone dies for instance... Might liven things up..." The cat smirked, curling up until only the corner of one little ear pocked out of the bag...

Io wrapped his powerful shield around Ervin, right now was the best he could do. his shield practically erased Ervin presence. Sita hissed with rage as Io struck her chest with a powerful blast that sent her flying hundreds of feet. struggling to stand, Io smirked, crossing his arms as he watched Sita in a weakened form
Ervin, you should not have strayed from Emrelda... if you didn't, you would not have to be in this situation his tone was stern and commanding. he turned back to Sita, he felt regret that he had ever helped seed such a monster "Sita, Sita, Sita..." he let out a low, dark laugh "You are so disappointing" unlike Zora, he could stray from the spear as far as he wanted to, slowly he walked over to where Sita finally found the strength to stand, he smiled gleefully when he saw the fear in her eyes. but she stood her ground
"Just so you know...I know you are the one who cause all this mess, Taea is now ruined because of you, along with your sisters who now follow you like a bunch of puppies" Sita's eyes narrowed, glancing over his shoulder. Io smiled evily "Ervin won't be on your mind much longer once I have that necromancer release your brother"
Sita paled You wouldn't dare!
Io laughed "Yeeess...I do"
Emrelda noticed that the lad was waking up. he groaned and touched his forehead. from Emrelda's fingertips a soft white light appeared and she touched his forehead. a relived sigh escaped his lips.
"what happened?" he groaned
"you umm...survived the attack" the boy winced as he turned around. he paled then blushed a deep red then paled again "you!" he screamed, he began to struggle but Emrelda held him in place "I spared your life young one..." she hissed "now don't struggle before I change my mind" the boy stopped and went still. Emrelda sighed
"whats your name?" she asked, softer this time, the boy fidgeted "Brian...Brian McMarrow" the boy was indeed frightened and Enchanted by Emrelda, she chuckled softly, she pulled out the arrow.
"Who did this belong to?" she asked, the boy again lowered his head "our only option in killing you I suppose...I don't know because I was at the bottom of the pack Ma'am"
Ma'am? Emrelda slowed Shadow down as she came upon a village down below, the boys face brightened "thats my home!"

Chrono started to regain his senses, and looks about, realizing that Sita was more powerful than what he sees Io make her seem. He couldn't tell if she was making the storm, but this was the only place in the surrounding area not affected by the surrounding blizzard. However, his wonderment ended as the white earring shined brightly, Chrono was at first caught off-guard, then Chrono felt his vision go dark as he started to speak. "Sita, as your contractor, I command you to kneel"
The color of Sita's eyes flashed red before she felt herself being forced on one knee, while Chrono was giving off an 'aura' of red nameless energy.

Io sighed then smirked, the traveled back to Ervin and stared at him You shouldn't have traveled away from Emrelda young man, now I am going to have to put up with you so you don't get into anymore unneeded trouble he knelt down next to the youngster, grinning innocently hope you don't mind his once gold eyes flashed you should still be grateful for Emrelda's gift...its gonna save your life countless more times, I hope you didn't forget about thanking her he then dissapeared and returned to the spear.
Emrelda smiled gently at the youth "would you like to return home lad?" the boy's face fell "my parents were killed when those bandits that tried to kill you took me as their slave"
sympathy and compassion filled her heart. she didn't want to hurt this lad by returning him...maybe "you can come with us as far as Russia"

Now, I shall let you have your castle, but remember that I can banish you to the elemental plane since you are not mortal." Sita nervously nodded before heading back into the castle. Chrono then stabbed his spear into the ground before sitting on a snow-covered crate. "Io, Zoraida told me of a bet between you and Gaea. When you cursed my line to be incapable of breeding at the fourth generation, she said that if I decide to give myself to one of her children, that child will have a mortal body and no longer fated to give the apocalyptic brood. Sadly, the bet only applies to Zoraida as she is the only one not overcome with lust. But back to the question: Why did you agree to the bet if our race was to die out?"

Io came out of the spear and sat next to Chrono. he stared at him.
"Because Knowing Gaea...her compassion for life and her children is strong as any mother of life. I decided to bet because I have no love for any race but my own...but here is the catch, yes Zora can provide with a mortal child but here is something you need to know. Zora will be the most caring mother in the whole entire world just like Gaea, but Zora like all Oonagi are all weak minded at some point or another Zora's jealousy to Emrelda will increase allot more than you think" Io sighed "but back to the bet...you were not designed to have children with Zora, the children will be strong and intelligent, basically flawless, but a flawless race is always a proud race and proud races become prejudice and start a wars. Now... with Emrelda is a different story. Emrelda is the last female of her celestial race. she is being sought out by many, like Vakeed, he knew that she was celestial and wanted to marry into the family but in the process became obsessed with the idea and lost his chance and out of rage killed Isobel." Io looked up at the stars that began to show through " here is the bet, if you have children with Zora, you will create a new flawless race, if you have children with a different breed of Dragon...and if that dragon is a female celestial...your curse will be broken" Io smirked and chuckled slightly
"now I have a question for you... if you love Emrelda THAT much, why don't you show it? maybe if you start showing it, Emrelda might return it, but instead you are constantly frolicking with Zora? she is not here now, show a little love to the emerald lady" he winked and pulled out a little mirror, he checked up on Emrelda, the boy was awake and alive. he was still riding on Shadow. he told Emrelda something and she laughed, Io frowned
"well, it looks like Emrelda has made a new friend...for a lad he is quite handsome" Io showed Ervin the Mirror...
Brian was pleased to stay with Emrelda, she could tell that he was beginning to have quite a crush on her. she smiled, amused by it. she decided to take him under her wing, teach him to fight, ride and such. she found it interesting that shadow even allowed him to ride her since she was only loyal to Emrelda alone. she smiled at his good nature and warm heart. she checked up on kitt before continuing on..

Chrono saw the mirror, and acted on a sudden impulse of jealousy as he yanked the spear out of the ground and hopped up the castle wall before looking back down. "Sita, you are to remain here and provide me with the boost I need to reach Emrelda. Understood?" Sita was about to object, but she saw the look in his eyes; they were the eyes of someone who felt scorned, and wanted things 'set right'. She could only giggle like a maiden as she gave him an enchantment that tripled his flight speed.
Io, I don't think Evrin's going to ask why the child is there. Well, its not the first thing hes going to do if you decide to not interevene...

Io stared at Sita in disgust, then went inside the spear, he chuckled darkly Emrelda is only showing motherly affection, remember Isobel? just so you know she has a huge soft spot for children Io was not in the least bit concern with Humans. he basically just settled into the spear. slightly amused that he could sense the raging jealousy and besides, what is there to be jealous of? he is only human
"you traveled the world!" Brian gaped at her "three times! aye, I wish i could live that long" Emrelda grinned "it would be a sad life for you, since humans don't last long" she replied jokingly. Brian McMarrow frowned, Emrelda shrugged "so, in human years, how old would you be?" he asked, Emrelda thought for a moment, doing that math in her head.
"Nineteen"
Brian nodded "you do look nineteen, its sorta freakin me out" Emrelda had to laugh again. "so in dragon years, how old are ya?"
"8000, still young, but it only feels like a short while" Brian let out a dreamy sigh, Emrelda let his imagination run.

Sita's giggle resumed as she made her last bit of 'advice' known to Io.
Evrin showed his love for Emrelda by fighting Vakeed in her place, but I can tell she has not returned it. Would you not be jealous if the same were to occour between you and Mother? Doubt leads to jealousy, which can drive men to murder...
Chrono's body started to radiate with anti-elemental energy as he started to get closer and closer to Emrelda.

Emrelda stopped Shadow. Brian looked at her confused, she sniffed the air. "Stay on shadow" she commanded, Shadow let out a irritated sigh. but let the boy stay on. Emrelda dismounted and walked about forty feet and waited with arms crossed. in the distance she saw a flying figure.

Chrono could make out Emrelda on the ground as he dove downwards, his wings splaying out at the last moment for a grand landing. The grass started to die at his feet as his energy was nullifying the natrual energies of everything around him. "I... see you have picked up another..." Despite his emotions, he kept himself from outright yelling at Emrelda.

oooohh...jealousy..of the boy? seriously Emrelda couldn't help but feel somewhat flattered. "I just killed a bunch of bandits and hour ago" she pulled out the long, green and heavy arrow. "apparently they were after me so I killed them all except for the boy" she put most of her weight on one hip. "we are taking him as far as London or Moscow...his decision"
courageously she walked up to the enraged dragon, she could feel the unnatural energies swirling. on the dead grass she stepped on, bright green new grass appeared only to be killed off. stood directly infront of him, placing a gentle hand on his cheek.
"so...why does the boy bother you so much?"

He wanted to roar, to kill the boy she hid, to do things he normally would refuse to perform. Yet, he only let his power fade as sadness crossed his eyes.
"You let him be so close, even though he was going to kill. But I spare you from Vakeed..." his voice trailed off as his anti-elemental energy completely faded away.

Emrelda swelled with compassion as she saw the sad stricken eyes. she pulled him into a hug, she said nothing as she hugged him "I am very grateful to you Chrono...thanks again" she whispered "but I can't let anymore more innocent blood be spilled..." tears brimmed her eyes "no more...no more"

Beside the young boy, the saddlebag rustled. A small pink nose pocked out of the leather flap, followed moments later by an entire cat. He yawned, stretching widely before looking up at Brian "Personally... Eight thousand years is nothing... Try living for eternity and then you'l realise just how dreary both life and death can be..." The cat smirked, tongue of silver flames licking his lips... Emrelda may have stopped him from eating the boy, but that didnt mean he couldnt have some fun....

Emrelda crossed her arms, her eyes narrowed "what is it this time Io?"
Io floated in the air, cross legged and a slow smile touched him
"what if I told you that there were...six snakes" Emreldas mouth ran dry, her eyes became black with anger in irritation. celestial power flooded through her body, the air around them became so heavy and uncomfortable that the pressure was somewhat pushing everyone down, the celestial tattoos appeared and the air smelled of electricity
"I seriously hope that what you are saying is a lie" her voice echoed through the sky and dark clouds began to form.

Chrono didn't even bat an eye at Io's statement. "I'm assuming the sixth snake is the 'brother' that Sita was so afraid of. Let me guess, the snake has something to do with the power of death..."

Io grinned, he touched Emrelda's forehead and immediately she calmed down.
"but this time, you can't summon this one..." he pointed into Shiro's direction "he can"
Emrelda swayed and fell out of conscious, she used too much power that she wasnt ready for, Io caught Emrelda's light body, he stared down at her then handed her over to Chrono "here you go, she is all yours"

Chrono couldn't help but feel awkward as he was cradling Emrelda in his arms. "Um, I'll have you know I'm against forcibly taking women... plus I have no idea where to go right now."

He shrugged his shoulders at the weight comment before taking off towards Japan. I can lift a ship with one hand if my balance and grip are right, so even her dragon form is nearly nothing for me to carry with both arms. In a few minutes they were over Africa, and only an hour away from China...

Emrelda blinked, then when her vision focused she stared, frozen in place....then she spoke when she noticed her surroundings
"ummm...we need Shiro and Kitt and I was not going to leave Brian behind like that"she crossed her arms, her amber eyes bore right into him "lets go back please"

Chrono turned around and slowed himself with spread wings before looking down at Emrelda with an embarassed grin. "I thought Io was going to take them to somewhere that wasn't Japan, honestly!!" He flew back to the others and set Emrelda down feet first before waiting on the other two or three...

Emrelda laughed quietly "wanted alone time with me eh?" she whispered, she winked playfully and walked back to the annoyed looking shadow

"Considering that the last time we were alone it was our first meeting, I would definatly want some more alone time with you..." he half-heartedly said before sitting down and shutting his eyes.

Brain gave Emrelda a weird look, she sighed "Shadow...take Brian to the capital, the you are free to go" Shadow nodded, Brian's eyes went wide "what about you"
Emrelda grinned, she went to the saddle bag and picked Kitt up gently and set him down on the ground "I am fine, Brian, now go" Shadow jumped into a quick trot. Brian kept looking back. until finally he was out of sight. Emrelda walked back to Chrono "You happy now, the boy is gone"

Emrelda sighed, she laid down next to him, her elbow prompt up, resting her temple on her knuckles " Spiritual things never really die, they just change into something else and they start over...the sad thing is that if Zora does 'Die' she will transform into a new spirit but she will remember nothing about you" the memory of her heart transformation made her flinch, the memory of the horrific pain, the memory that for days all she did was violently spasm in pain, occasionally calming but starting all over again but each time more violently.
"At least you don't have to switch hearts like I-" Emrelda stopped herself. her eyes went wide, she sat up, cross legged. she became tense and rigid, her chest started to contract painfully. she placed an hand over her heart. $#^% this is bad, very bad I almost blurted that I did that sinful, forbidden act...

The black cat snuffled, but did not wake from his sleep as Emrelda picked him up out of the saddle bag... He smirked, one bright amber eye watched Emrelda and Chrono as the cat smirked "Strangely, I had forgotten just how booooring your mortal problems are..." The cat uncurled, stretching languidly as he licked his lips with a tongue of silvery fire...

Emrelda looked up and smiled at Kitt, she hate to admit it, but she was beginning to like the fur ball, despise the fact that he could turn on all of them
"and yet you are still here" she gently scratched his ears in a friendly like gesture " doesn't every creature, even you have mortal problems? or are you just to great to have them?" Emrelda looked towards the sky "Hurry up Shiro!" she yelled

Chrono sat up and genlty pushed Emrelda, but somehow his 'gentle' push ended up making her fall on her side. "Compared to unleashing the Oonagi, performing a forbidden summon to call out Zoraida, and simply being a part of the cursed Blackwyngs, changing your heart is hardly considered an offense." His smile was so carefree, that it was almost justified to hit him because of the smile alone.

Emrelda laughed wickedly, her eyes narrowed and she growled, she sat up and brought her face extremely close that she could feel his breath "You will NEVER know what kind of pain it caused me, for days I laid there, three times I was so close to the black pearly gates of the dead! you will never know the pain afterwards...the kind of shift that happen. I have powerful religious leaders after my hide because of it!" her voice was hissed and low. but she clearly showed the anger, she touched her forehead
"I'll give you a better understanding of it!" she began to show him the memory of the ritual known for its unearthly physical and emotional pain

Chrono felt the pain, and almost blacked out from how much of a shock it was to suddenly feel that much pain. However, he only took deep breaths as he half-forced a smile. "The only reason why I would consider against it is that you went through a transformation without anything to dull the pain, and I can tell just by the memory that you couldn't even speak your suffering until it was over..."

I would show you the memory through my eyes, but I don't think you can stomach watching your love squirm, scream, violently spasm and bleeding unless you want to see it? Emrelda smiled darkly "for days I laid there in the transformation circle, many times I thought my heart would explode along with my whole body, each day would cry out, hoping someone would hear me...nobody did, I felt that pain for six days, the memory I showed you was the weaker form of it...I knew you probably would almost die if I shared the strongest spasm" she hugged her knee's to her chest, sighing heavily

Shiro walked though the woods, his clothing singed, torn, ripped, and generally mishandled. He came into the clearing, his skin torn open and green noxious liquid coming out of the slices. He stumbled slowly into the clearing, then collapsed.

Emrelda caught him before he slammed face first into the ground, in a motherly way she groaned, as if her child came home filthy. she set him down gently, digging into one of his pickets pulled out a huge needle and thick thread.
"aha!" she laughed then frowned at the opened, oozing wounds "eww..." she began to sew his rotten flesh together, used to his very unpleasent scent, she finished quickly. she crossed her arms, with a blink of an eye, she fixed his clothes.
"Shiro, Shiro, Shiro..." her tones was stern and motherly "what am I going to do with you?"

Murmurs softly in his comatose expression something about muffins and hot chocholate, groans, and sits up.
"ooooow... okay that hurt." cracks his head "ah... thanks Em. what did i miss?"

Kitt strode through the grey river of death, steam billowing around his dark-flaming body. He stopped at the edge of the first gate and opened his jaws, sparks and flames hissing and spitting as he clapped his clawed hands together... The sound rang out in all directions, rippling through the water... He waited...
Time trickled on, perhaps the spirit waited for hours, perhaps it was only minutes, but finally a ripple returned in response. A creature of dead flesh rose up from the water, it's limbs jerking and twitching like a puppet, its rotten head turned to face Kitt, slimy mouth opening and closing as a much deeper voice emanated from somewhere far away "WhEre yOu seEN?"
The spirit creature that was Kitt grinned, silver tongue lolling out of his flaming jaws "No, old one... The mortals are fools, and barely seem to have noticed I am missing... As for you... You seem to be doing quite well, with your little puppets..." The dead creature took several steps closer, joints creaking and squelching "It iSsss sAFer for mE tHIs wAy... I still dO nOT tRUsT YoU Free SpIriT..."
Kitt grinned and grabbed the dead puppet creature by it's rotten neck, dragging it towards him. A dark thread wound behind it down into the water, and with it came another creature of roiling flame that made the waters boil and hiss. It screamed, trying to drag itself back to safety, but instead was pulled inexorably closer to the Free Spirit. Kitt opened it's mouth even wider, leaning close to the old spirit as if to embrace him in a deathly kiss. He paused, sparks and embers flickering out of his maw, and instead hissed with a voice like steel over a grindstone "You have every reason to fear me... For today, you discover what I truly... am...."

Emrelda looked around...she noticed that ...Kitt was not anywhere, which bothered her....greatly

"oooooooooooooch... headache..." he muttered to himself and rubbed his temples.

A cold breeze blew as a black cat emerged from the shadows of a tall oak tree. The cat licked his lips with a tongue of silver flame, approaching Emrelda and Shiro with a lazy stroll, flicking his tail side to side "Ah, master Shiro... How goes the headache ?" Kitt grinned, watching Emrelda with bright amber eyes "I hope you didnt miss me too much there Miss dragon... But a fresh herring was just too irresistible a treat..."

Chrono rolled back, then shot up legs first into the air shortly before landing back on his feet. "Now that everyone is back, I'll just say that I was able to send Zoraida some of my energy, giving her at least a day more while we make our way to Japan. She doesn't know whats keeping her from being summoned, and she said that I am 'forbidden to enter the spirit realm for needless reasons'. So, can we start this before that day is done?"

Emrelda gently touched Shiro's head, a soft blue light glowed on her slender finger tips. she stood up, stretched then transformed into her true form. her emerald scales glittered in the sunlight "put shiro on my back, I will carry him" she said to Chrono, she turned to Kitt "would you like a ride or can you fly?"

Chrono didn't nod as he lifted Shiro up, then pushed him onto Emrelda's back before taking flight. He was back in the air, and more graceful now that he wasn't letting his emotions panic him...

Emrelda was indeed worried about both Shiro and Chrono. Shiro for one being hurt and Chrono acting as though this were nothing. which she knew was a total lie, maybe this...dead thing will help out, if not this was going to be trouble.

A small black tail flicked in front of Emrelda's vision as she flew, followed a moment later by the upside-down face of Kitt. The small feline grinned, staring into Emrelda's large eyes "In answer to your earlier question, I can indeed fly... Though I would much prefer to ride, and perhaps sleep... And my I say you are quite the magnificent dragon..." Still grinning, the little cat popped back out of view, nestling somewhere between Emrelda's neck and shoulders and curling up. Despite being a free magic construct, he did seem to spend a lot of time napping...

Chrono got closer to Emrelda, his head facing forward a he wispered. "This better work or Gaea, Io, and your father can find another errand boy to deal with the Oonagi." He then flew past her and kept point during their travel to Japan...

Magnificent... why the compliments all the sudden she turned to Chrono, she began to fly at a steady pace. "Magnificent huh..." she reapeated quietly. she glared at Chrono "PMSing much?" she retorted

Emrelda noticed the new landmarks that they were over the middle east. the high heat and dry deserts, she refocus on the journey, before she noticed the large red thing the collided heavily into her body. almost hitting Chrono, she felt Shiro's and Kitt's weight shift quickly off her body, she caught them quickly. the red...Dragon circled around. it let out a screech of challenge, before it charged, it mouth opened to breath the deadly flame. Emrelda opened her mouth, it started to grow green. for such a small dragon, her massive fire blast shot through the red dragons, scorching it, the red dragon fell to its doom. Emrelda replaced the cat and undead fox on her back before contniueing as if nothing had happened...

Chrono stopped on a dime when he heard the screech, then saw Emrelda take it down in one shot. He would have been somewhat impressed if he wasn't trying to keep his impatience from turning into rage. My name became Chrono when I decided how I would live my own life, now I'm Evrin Blackwyng: last of the clan, and the object of wager between the father of dragons and the Mother of the land herself.
He did a flip, slowing down at the peak of the flip so that Emrelda can catch up before 'landing' next to her.
"More like venting, since my fate seems to be in the hands of the Creators, rather than in my own."

Emrelda smiled sympathetically "I know how you feel, I was not looking forward to this myself..." she noticed the familiar Island of Japan. carefully she landed in the courtyard, during that time she morphed from Dragon to woman. setting Shiro down, she still held the sleeping free spirit. a young, strikingly beautiful human girl in a bright blue kimono opened the paper doors, her raven, silky hair held up with handcrafted hair species. she gasped excitedly.
"Emrelda-Sama!" she cheered, she ran as fast as her beautiful kimono would let her. hugging around the tall womans slender waist. "we have missed you!" her eyes though were not human though, an ice blue with slit pupils.
"Haha to chichi ga sono yō ni mite kōfun suru!" (Mother and Father will be so excited to see you!)
Emrelda turned back to Chrono, she then smiled down at the girl "I know they will be Akemi"
Akemi looked at Emrelda's companions, she smiled politely and bowed "welcome, anyone friends of Emrelda will be welcome to our home"

Chrono felt a bit off at now having to deal with someone who was truly human, since most of his human clients never spoke in person. But, he could tell she was somewhat magical, which offset the looks. "Why do we need to find this death snake in Japan, the Dead Sea is nowhere near here!!"

Akemi blinked "you mean Emperor Ryuu?" she said innocently. Emrelda stared at her in shock. she couldn't believe that Akemi knew him. "He does not live in the dead sea anymore...he lives here as his Imperial Majesty" she invited Emrelda and the crew in. Emrelda placed the sleeping Kitt on a cushion then sat down traditionally on the tatami she whispered to Chrono "I was not expecting this..."
Akemi left for a breif moment. Io's voice spoke darkly "so...Orochi has become Emperor..."

Chrono rested his head on his hands while looking at the paper slide-doors. "Exactly how can Shiro do any better than myself if hes currently invoking the contract of that mangy fleaball?"

Emrelda glared at him "because you are not a Necromancer...." a young servant girl brought tea. Akemi came back "Mother and Father will arrange a meeting with his Majesty...but you must dress properly" Akemi gave Emrelda a sly grin "do you remember how to play the shimisen?"
Emrelda sipped her hot green tea "of course, a dragon does not forget anything" Akemi turned to Chrono "be at Peace Prince of Darkness...your love is still alive" Akemi got up and left. Emrelda smirked "I forgot to mention...Akemi is a half-breed...her specialty is senseing emotions and among other things..."

Chrono almost spat out the tea he was drinking when she made the 'Prince of Darkness' comment. "I've been in Europe for too long, Christianity is starting me mess with me... as for 'love' is concerned, she is my teacher first!" He continued to drink the tea, but he was feeling his heart flutter from nervousness.

Emrelda smirked lightly "Then your love must be me then' " Emrelda said just as Akemi and three younger girls brought in white boxes and presented them infront of Emrelda, Chrono and Shiro. she smiled "If you must know Chrono" she said softly "Emrelda-sama was once a Geisha...she taught my grandmother, mother and I the many ways of art..." a maid servant opened the box to reveal the beautiful emerald Kimono "she was Known as Amaya, his Majesty wants to see Emrelda-sama perform before he hears you out...Emrelda's talents were legendary"
Emrelda stood up and went behind a screen.
"Masters, you must change before you go before his majesty" Akemi ordered softly

Chrono looked down at his outfit, which did befit someone who was accustomed to war and battle, but apparently not formal. "Um, I think a kimino is a bit too... small for me"

Akemi smiled as the servant girl fixed the Kimono. "I hope that is better" several moments later Akemi's face lit up "Emrelda-sama..." she breathed. Emrelda appeared from the Screen wearing the emerald form fitting kimono, her hair was up in a simple yet fashionable style, she gave a lovely, innocent smile to everyone. she was strikingly beautiful as any female dragon would be. she took the elegant clay tea pot and as any real Geisha would and poured the tea. her amber eyes fixed upon the tea pot. she wore make up. but since her skin was pale anyways, she did not need the white face, but she had the red lips and the enhanced black eyelashes
"Have you not seen a Geisha before?" Akemi asked "The Emperor has never seen a Geisha..the council believes that they are a bad influence..."

Chrono was busy changing into the kimono, changing the colors with a minor cosmetic spell, then turned around just in time to catch Emrelda pouring the tea. He covered his mouth in fear of his jaw from dropping off, and covered his face in the kimono sleeves. "Must. not. think. impure. thoughts."

What is impure about it... go ahead, she is what humans call pure... Io's perverted chuckle vanish. Akemi smiled knowingly at Chrono as Emrelda stood up, gracefully walking over to Chrono and handing him the grey clay cup. "Tea?" she spoke softly, her Amber eyes had a soft light to them that made her look extremely innocent.

Chrono slowly let his sleeves down and opened up one eye, only to stare right at Emrelda's eyes. "Y-yes, w-would like tea. Very much." It was hard for him to not look away, and it was also hard for him to keep whatever calm he had left.
It would be so much easier on my nerves if she were truly human. But then it would take away from what makes her look so grand. Curse my smitten heart for this treacherous behavior!!

Emrelda noticed his slightly shaking hands as he took his tea cup, slowly, gently she grabbed his hands, hoping that would calm him down, she stared up at him with curiosity "everything alright? we will meet with ...him soon. you can have Zora back and everything will be better again" Emrelda asked kindly. Akemi sent the Maid servants away.
"what else is bothering you" Emrelda asked again...

Chrono put the tea cup down and then took a breath that lasted more than half a minute before opening his eyes again. "It was hard for me to control myself since you're now, so beautiful with all of the clothes and make-up on. Io wasn't helping either..." He averted his gaze from her eyes, and found it somewhat easier to think now that he wasn't tempted with the purity of her form. "I look like a monster compared to you."

Shiro moaned loudly, his ears drooping as he sat up, fatigue glazed over his half lidded eyes. He looked around, rubbing his eyes with his paws, correcting his jaw which had gone askew during his comatose experience. Stupidly, he looks around, grins, and falls backwards onto the wall.
Sadly, the wall was made of paper, and shiro fell through it, slamming his head on the ground. His head rolled down the hallway, startling several maids who shrieked and dashed away. The body was making a futile attempt to escape his paper trappings, just ripping the wall open even more.
From down the hallway you could hear the head as it rolled.
"WHAT IS.... *roll*... GOING ON.... *roll* ... HERE! ITS LIKE *roll, another shriek* JAPAN HERE!!!! *thunk* OW, i just hit a wall! EMRELDAAAAAAAAAA"

Emrelda groaned as she scurried over and helped Shiro's headless body up before going down the hall and retrieving his head, she knelt down and gently picked up his head.
"You had quite an entrance there" she said sarcastically, but grinning in amusement.

A small black cat appeared behind Emrelda, twining around her legs as she knelt down beside Shiro. He appeared silently, and seemingly from the very shadow she cast, one moment no-where, the next moment sitting in the middle of the floor. He grinned, a wide grin that showed a mouth full of silvery teeth like diamond fire "My, my... You are a very different master from my last... He was so, booooring... You seem to make everything into a big pantomime..."
The cat slinked over, tail flicking and amber eyes fleshing devilishly "Me? I like the pantomime. Especially when the crowd says-" Kitt disappeared, re-appearing behind Shiro in his shadow "-He's behind you...."

Shiro grinned and looked at her. "Well thanks for retrieving me. You know what they say, never give up when your a head." he started laughing at this then paused mid chuckle.
"Um.... Em?" his eyes widened. "WHY ARE YOU WEARING MAKEUP???? Where the hell are we??"
Meanwhile, the body was blindly stumbling around running into everything. The poor maid who was in the room fainted when she saw the headless rotting fox body stumble through the pristine tea set, smashing random objects and falling into Chrono's lap. It flailed around for a little while, then gave up, rolling onto the floor and moping. No one knew HOW they could tell it was moping, but a general sense of feebleness and dispair came over the corpse.

Emrelda grinned as she stood up "Good afternoon there Kitt, as you can see we are in Japan, in the Imperial Palace, I am sure you can find some place comfortable" in one hand she held Shiro's head, the other, she bent down and stroked the silky black fur. Calmly she walked back to the room. Akemi had an amused smile when she came back in. she helped the body up as she finally replaced Shiro's head back onto his body. "there" she looked around the room, shook her head slowly, and with a snap of her fingers, everything was fixed and normal. the maids began to scurry away only when Akemi ordered them to stop. they were sworn to secrecy then were free to go. Emrelda sat traditionally on a black cushion and again, drank tea calmly.

Shiro rubbed where his neck had been reattached. He cracked his neck a few times, then grinned.
"So Japan is it?" he moaned a little. "Formalities... I always hated those." he walked over to his jacket with all the pockets.
"Wait... what is this?" he picked up the kimono that Emrelda had put there. "This won't do. I don't have room for my supplies!"
He took the kimono in one hand and the Jacket in the other. After standing there for a minute, two or three symbols of charter magic flared on his exposed rotting flesh on his back. They sparkled and danced merrily for a few seconds then vanished. The Jacket had vanished and all that was left was the kimono. He slipped it on.
"Much better." he grinned and moved back.
"What did i miss?"

"Nothing much...right now we are waiting for our turn with his audience with his majesty Emperor Ryuu..." elegantly, she poured tea for Shiro and Chrono again, a maid presented a Japanese sweet for them to go with the bitter green tea. she bowed and left. Emrelda sipped her tea then nibbled on the food.

Shiro raised an eyebrow.
"Ryuu? Now... that sounds familliar..." he shook his head. "Eh... i'm still drowsy."
He kneeled down uncomfortably on the ground, his bones acheing and creeking. He made a face.

"Supposedly the Oonagi of Death we were looking for is now Emperor of all of Japan, which seems Bizarre to me" Emrelda set her tea cup down and looked at Shiro "know anything about this?"

"Well besides the fact that almost every necromancer worships him and evokes him every time they cast a spell, and that he is baisically the writer of the Necronomicon... yeah... baisically he is tough to take out except for a binder. An Abhorsen. Sadly, the last of their line died off a long time ago. I took up studying their art after finding a journal one of them left behind. It explained." he patted his belt where there were 7 belt pouches attatched, ranging in sizes from largest to smallest, which was minute.
"yeah... fun. Oonagi of death. Greeeeeaaat..."

Akemi came back, with her two men dressed in grey, the bowed then spoke "His Majesty is currently busy with a Political situations, but will see you shortly, please be patient" Emrelda bowed "we will wait, but I shall advise that my friend here" she motioned to Chrono "is not as patient as I am" the two men in grey left. shortly after a Man in a black men's kimono, strikingly handsome in his early twenties. three swords at his hip, he bowed. Akemi smiled.
"Do you remember General Hatsumoto?" she asked, her eyes questioning. Emrelda peered then shook her head "I am afraid not Akemi" the man smiled.
"I believe you nicked named me Kai Emrelda onee san"
Emrelda then remembered, she smiled "my, have you grown....its been what? forty four years now?" Hatsumoto nodded "yes, you have not changed at all, except for the fact that you constantly wore a black wig to fit in"
Emrelda nodded as Hatsumoto sat "indeed..."

Chrono had eaten the entire sweet and washed it down with the tea, then pulled out his spear and balanced the tip of the blade on his snout as this 'Kai' or 'Hatsumoto' showed up. He showed little concern for the human, and changed from the snout to the palm of his hand. The Oonagi of death is dealing with politics, and the only threat to his rule died long ago. Zoraida said some of her siblings were odd, but someone deliberatly dealing with egotisitcal mortals as equals?! He thought this in his head, but he was pretty sure that Io heard, and was repeating the entire thought to Emrelda.

Emrelda listened to Chrono's thoughts closely, she kept a clam, she shared the thought with Shiro. she poured tea for the new guest, then for her companions. she did find it odd that the Oonagi of death would have such compassion for humans...she began to wonder if something happened.
"Kai, have you seen any of the other children?"
Kai smiled "Hai, all of them are doing very well actually"

Kitt burst out from underneath a bamboo chair, eyes wide "Did somebody say Abhorsen!?" The cat looked up at Shiro, seeming rather peeved "Use that word with caution master... Some free magic creatures have grudges to hold against that blood line, despite it's extinction..." Grumbling to himself, the little cat jumped up onto the chair, curling up so that only single amber eye was visible among his black fur. The eye watched Shiro intently, especially at the seven bells hanging from his belt...

Shiro laughed
"Don't worry Kitt, I know how many creatures dislike that ancient bloodline. I only use their techniques in defense if i am attacked, and even then only if they are way more powerful then me. I use these with caution." Shiro also motions to the three locks that go down each pouch. He laughed and pulled a small vial out of his pocket, downed it, green smoke came out of his nose, and he grinned.

Emrelda scrunched up her nose, she never liked the ways of a Necromancer...she blew on the steam softly before sipping again. her eyes closed, her mind entering a meditative state. I want this to end....soon she set down her tea cup and sighed. In an very strange manner, she fell backwards, laying down.
"Can't Ryuu just wave his hand and everything will be better again?" she waved her hand in the air as she said it. her tone was clipped and on edge. Kai stared at her in wonder, Akemi gave her a quizzical eyebrow. Emrelda was growing bored and impatient

Chrono changed from the middle of his hand, to balancing the spear on his claw tip as Emrelda was speaking. "Its like me saying: "Can't I just destroy the entire country of England so the dragons can have their territory back?". The task is all within my power, but I really don't see a long-term benefit in such excessive destruction."

Emrelda rolled on her side and faced him, her face heated and her eyes had a fiery glow "I know you can Ervin, not only have you demonstrated a snippet of it, but you constantly say you can..." she rested her temple on her knuckles "Its also like me saying that Can't I right now just become heir to my fathers place as Dream keeper when so many males of my kind are searching for me so they can continue the Celestial race... I can look for one easily, but is it really a good benefit to mate for the survival a race that you know is beyond repair?"

Chrono let the spear fall and hit the ground on its side before looking right at the ground with a pained stare. He reached into the clothes he was wearing earlier, and pulled out the other horn that Emrelda gave him. "I shall return your gift and wait outside for Emperor Ryuu, as I dishonour this palace with my presence." He gently set the horn down on the table, then picked up his spear before walking out of the palace with his other clothes in hand.

Oh...crap... she thought to her self, Emrelda tackled poor Chrono to he ground, using all of her weight to keep him there.
"I'm sorry....that was mean of me" she stared up at him, guilt shown in her eyes as she stared down at him "listen to me please...I am sorry that I hurt you, it was unintentional, I was trying to prove a real life example of whats going on with...me...My Brutal Honesty and Sarcasm is quite troublesome sometimes" she stood up and brushed herself off, she gave hm another sad, guilty look "if its not in your nature to forgive, I understand...but please consider it, your the only hope everyone in the world"

Shiro was quietly sipping his tea up untill that moment, casually letting his tail sway back and forth, when he looked up... and saw a spear dangling out of Emrelda's side and Chrono storming off.
"Wait... wha?..." then the confusion was over. He looked over to Kitt. "KITT! I know Em can heal herself, but stay and make sure she does it properly! I need to settle a score once and for all." He turned and ran after Chrono, his eyes flaring up with emerald fire, his stitching glowing under his clothes.
"CHRONO, GET BACK HERE."
