Hi! im a new furry fan...stumbled across this trying to find a website that i could connect with other furry fans and learn more about the fandom. I've always had an interest in anthropomorphic (such a big word, i think i'll stick to furries) animals, but i never new there was a type of fandom for it. When i was younger, i always used to pretend that i was a fox, wolf, or some other type of furry.
I'm not much of an RP'er, although i was when i was younger. I am not a fursuiter, but i've read that people wear collars, and i think i might just do that :3
Although I'm not to good of an artist, i am learning how to draw furries and creating my own fursona. I might grab myself a Graphic Tablet so that i can try digital art, as it seems it is one of the main medias for furry art, and im taking graphic design next year in highschool.
sooo....my fursona. I am a red fox, although i call myself a Crimson Fox because of the hair color (just the hair, not the fur). Oh yeah, and im also creating a storyline for my Fursona through a comic, which i will iikely post in these forums when it is done.
Well anyways, im going to get back to designing my fursona. Can't wait to be a part of the furry community

Its always nice to see another kindred artist in the making! :)
I'm trying to get good enough to make tutorials soon, so I'm drawing about every day now. Trying to draw enough to fill up my skechbook by the 16th (The year anneversary of when I got it) Oh, and you don't really need a tablet to make cool digital art, if you have a laser mouse (Ball mice are bad for it though) I have one, and it works about the same as my laser mouse.
I'd like to see some of your artwork soon! :)

well the thing is the tablet im getting comes with photoshop, and the only time i have photoshop is when i have my loaned school laptop. Also, I really want to get into digital art...so yeah. And wow, i dont think i could get a drawing in every day! i have almost filled a small sketchbook throughout the school year and beginning of this summer! I guess ill have to start doing that if i really want to improve.

Ah! What version does it come with? Right now, I'm working with Photoshop CS3, and I'm gonna start digitaly inking my stuff in Illustratior CS4.
How much does the thing cost? Either way, I guess its worth it if you get Photoshop with it. :)

It comes with photoshop elements seven. i havn't heard of that version before, all the work i have done before is with CS4, which i really liked. im going to do some research into it.
The Tablet I'm looking into is call the Adesso CyberTablet M14 Media Graphics Tablet, and it costs $138.99 (thank God for bdays...)
I don't have a fur affinity account. Every time i try to make one it says its not allowing new users to register or something. But i don't have much art to show anyways, so i guess it doesn't matter.
BTW i really like the Cafe Scene request you did, the shading is awesome O.O and everything is lined up perfectly, i have hard time with that kind of angle.

I have a Bamboo Fun Tablet and it came with Corel Painter Essentals. I don't use Painter much, but the one I have at school (Corel Painter 11) is the bomb! So many types of paper and brush to choose from! :)
Relly? I've heard of them having problems with registering earlier last month, and they're STILL having it? 0.0

I enjoy cs4 because of the effects you can use, and it also has the whole brush types thing, but it costs 500 dollars!
I like those pics too, but it was really the angle of the Cafe one that got me.

Editing Photos is graphic art, in fact most of the work i have done in photoshop involves editing photos, recoloring, photoshoping, and collagiing it together. I mainly made sigs for people and myself in a game forum tho

I do mostly original art, but I have an affinity towards editing pics as well. :)

naw you don't have to change your name. your name is how ever you want it. See, I am a buddywolf and I am friends with another buddywolf. Hes brown, I am gray. Just like in the real world, furries will have the same name just as my cousin and I have the same name. :)
Crimson is your name unless you wish to change it.
