Gulf of Mexico? Hundreds upon thousands of gallons of oil already lost and still going? The biggest oil disaster ever?
I'm assuming everyone has seen this. And if not... This is really happening and the crap is hitting the fan in a big way.
My dad is involved in hazardous waste removal, and he is the best at what he does, and on Monday he's going down to Louisiana to take a look at all this. What he's going to be doing is clearing off the crude oil once it rolls on shore. The military is going to be trying to shut this thing down. Trust me when I say this... This is a very ugly situation. The estimate is 200,000 gallons of oil is rushing out. The accuracy of that is ?? - it could be more! And it might take the military a couple months to contain this and shut down the well. After words the clean up is going to take months. So my dad might be down there for quite a while scooping up oil. :S o.O

I heard they were gonna burn it.

It made me lol ^_^
I hate oil and the drilling of it, so I just can't be worried when something like this happens.

Eleven people missing, who are presumed to be dead, seventeen people injured, the oceans being polluted with over one million gallons of crude oil daily(About fifteen million by now), the crashing of the Gulf of Mexico fishing industry as a result of the spill, and the destruction of habitats for hundreds of bird and fish species...

Yeah I have to say this is a pretty stupid mistake, someone should seriously be getting their hats sued off for this kind of negligence.

That'd be BP (British Petroleum). They own the oil well. Aim any and all lawsuits at them.
And as for the above comment about the "lol..." Grow up. You obviously don't have any idea what kind of an impact this has. The fishing market is destroyed. Those 11 people were pronounced dead. This is 10x bigger than Exxon spill in Alaska. There's still globs of oil poking up every here and there, and that spill was contained! This... This is the most uncontained you can get. This is a disaster... And it made you laugh?
...Grow up before I throw up.
