Title: A truely unfortunate event
Post by: Philly Tanuki on April 28, 2010, 12:28:23 AM
So today was like any other day at school, second period was a breeze, and third period was the same.  I figured fourth period would just blow right on by and school would be over soon, but nothing like that would ever happen.  For the past week or so we have been building model houses in fourth period, or rather, my partner has been building a model house and I have been watching him.  Anyways as I'm walking to the sink, two hulking rednecks come up behind me and grab a hold of me.  One of them was holding my hands behind my back so I couldn't fight back, and the other guy decided it would be hilarious to attach a chain leash to my collar and start walking me around the classroom.  There wasn't a thing I could do about it, and the teacher just laughed.  It was very frustrating, and pretty embarrassing.

Just felt like I had to put that out there and off my back.

There's a class act of bullying right there. If I were you I'd go straight to the principal and tell him/her what happened. If that doesn't resolve anything, then go to the school board and report the teacher and pricipal for not handling the issue. It is grounds for dismissal if nothing is done to help you, Philly. You can't just go to school and take crap from other people and not do anything about it.

Well I would tell the principal, but i fear he may only tell me not to wear my collar anymore.  Honestly i think my principal only cares about dress code and littering on school grounds.

Dude, what have you got to lose? Your principal can't just tell you to take off your collar. That's BS and it's not solving the problem. You ask him what he's going to do when you choose NOT to take it off. See what he has to say. He can't say to you: "Oh well, then you can get bullied all you want." No, he is legally obligated to DO something to RESOLVE the issue.

I say BS to the teacher who stood by, giggling like a schmoob

and I declare BS on the bullies.

As Spike said, it's a legal obligation of the principal and teacher to at least do something.
if they don't, there's always that fun word you can drop that no one likes

court

Just go through the chain of commands. Principal if he does nothing go higher. You might end up looking like a snitch, but its either deal with that or the other thing. And I'm sorry that crap happened. If you had fought back, YOU would be the one in trouble, not them. Suffice to say the rules work in FAVOR of bullies. Oh yea and if no one wants to listen to you because your a "kid" get your parents involved. They have the power and the right to protect their children.

*Snug* Sorry all this happened, keep us posted on how it went.

I beat him up!

But really what happened was we exchanged words and the principle decided to suspend the bullies for 10 days.  As for the teacher, I'm not sure.

IMO, the only thing you can do in that situation is bite them. But I've never been very diplomatic. (See profile pic)

I'm not sure if anything happened to the teacher.  Maybe the principal docked his pay or something.

Good thing you went to the principle, although i really hope someone had a good talk with that teacher.
I dont know what my schools principle would do, probably stare at me in disbelief as soon as "furry" or "collar" comes up. :/

*edit - Damn its principle, not principal

It is principal. Principles are the beliefs you hold, and principal is the school guy.
The principal is your pal. :)

I was wondering why people kept spelling it principle.... Thought I was just used to a non american spelling >.<

But as usual, I have a horror story to tell about my school. A teacher was bullying me and my girlfriend consistantly, for no reason. The only reason the teacher picked on her is because she started going out with me and, naturally, we sat together all the time.

The unfortunate thing is, because she loves me she wanted to impress, and so she acted up in front of the teacher she knew I hated.... And that went on to be a problem for her even after we broke up.

Now we're together again we're keeping it low profile -.-

Edit: Not ex any more.... ^-^

So i was right the first time ..........

I was wondering why people kept spelling it principle....

I saw someone writing it as "principle" a few pages back, so i thought i misspelled it.  ^_^ (english being my second language)

But back on topic, I'm just glad the fandom isn't well known at my school. Considering the amount of drawing I do, I'm surprised I havent been lynched by a bunch of furhaters by now.

Then again, it would be nice if there were at least some furries at school -.-

hell yes. I don't need to go over what I've done to get my rights as a person. If I was in that classroom, I'd smash their faces in :P
