ok here are the rules first

race off all involved
age of all involved
time period for there stay (max 3 months)
ok for this rp i play an 8 year old cat girl named maylu. shes very shy and withdrawn for unknown (to everyoneelse) reasons. one day her mom drops her off at a chlld care center while she goes on a trip for a month. throught her time there the other residents (kids to mid teen 17 max) try to get her to open her self up to others. at the end of it all will things go as planned or will there be a shocking change.

"as a car pulls up the long drive way to the front entrance of the jokin care center. as the car pulls to a stop and young look women gets out of the passenger sid of the car with a young cat girl clinging to her long skirt. the women rings the door bell and a lound ringing vibrates through the area. the women looks at the child and says" dont worry dear youll be fine these people are very nice, the owner is a good friend of mine. "the girl just looks at the women and gives her a shallow nod"

Shiro was sitting in his office in Jokin care center, watching his son, Johnathan, play with a little stuffed animal. He was a cute guy, his reddish fox hair the same as his own. The phone rang.
"Yes? Oh yes, send them to the center, i'll be right down."
He got up.
"John? I have a friend over right now, you be good in here, okay?"
John looked up at Shiro.
"Sure dad. I'll be good."
Shiro left the office and went down to the visitors center.
"Okay send them in."

"the women walks into the visitor centor and looked at shiro with a cheerfull smile and says" its been a long time shiro how have you been. "leans towrd thhe man and gives him a hug"

"Ronfa! How is everything! You look well!" Shiro said as he returned the hug. Then he noticed the girl haning onto her skirt.
"Well well well, who is this?"

this is my daughter maylu shell be staying here while i go on a bussiness trip. "maylu hides behind ronfa trying to be invisable" shes a bit shy and doesnt talk much but shes a good girl and you shouldnt have any problems with her.

"Really? Well hello Maylu. My name is Mr. Shiro. You are going to be staying with us here for a little while, okay?" he gave a reassuring nod to the child, and looked up at Ronfa.
"I didn't know you were married."

"ronfa looked at shiro with a serious look and says" my husband died in a car crash, he was traveling with maylu to take her to her singing classes and theyhit a tree. maylu was ok but a tree branch inpailed him, a doctor said that her shyness and witdrawn life are from the traumatizing evens that happend. "ronfa looked at her wrist watch with a shocked look" i gotta go be good for shiro maylu mommy will be back soon. "she kisses maylu on the forehead and runs out the door and drives off"

*That was a little sudden... wow, her husband died...*
Shiro looked down at Maylu, and crouches down to her level, giving her a big foxy grin.
"Hey, i know this is probably pretty scary right now, but you are gonna live with us for a while. Does that sound okay to you? We have a lot of kids just as old as you here. If you want I can take you to meet them."

"maylu shakes her head and goes to sit in the cornor of the room"

"Okay... what do you want to do then?" Shiro had almost infinate time, so he wasn't afrait to spend some time getting to know the girl.
"Do you like to play games?"

i like to draw. "maylu stuttered while holding her tail combing the tip with her nails"

"Do you draw a lot?" Shiro was slowly coaxing her out of her shell. "What do you draw most of the time?"

maylu stares at ground and stutters" just anything nothing special

"Well that cant be right. Everyone is special. Your drawing are part of your imagination so they are automatically special."

"maylu crouchs on the floor and runs her fingers over the tiles gently making sure not to carve into it and says" i just draw what i see nothing diffrent from it "her tail dusts the portion of the floor behind her"

"I would still like to see what you have done. everyone sees the world differently."

"maylu reachs into hr pants pocket and unflods it to show a lake with fish jumping out ofthe waterand shows itto you" i did this before we left for here

Shiro took a look at the picture, and smiled.
"You have plenty of talent. It is very cool. If you keep drawing more and more, you will be able to draw anything you want from your head."
Shiro handed back the paper.
"So if you will follow me, i will show you to your room. You can have any materials you need."

maylu follows follows you very closly holding on to the sleeve ofyour shirt so as not to get lost"

Shiro walked down the hallways to a small room that was set up for any new arrivals. It had a desk, a bed, and a flowery sort of wallpaper.
"I know it is kind of sparse, but you will get used to it and personalize it. How do you like it?"

"mylu walks into room nd looks around" its perfect fr me. "she said softly"

"I need to go do some things for my work, so if you need anything else, just give me a call."
Shiro walked out of the room, and a pair of ears poked around the corner. Jonathan looked at the newcomer

"maylu jumps back and falls on her butt " w-who are u

Jonanthan's eyes widen and he hides behind the door jam. He wasn't sure wether to run or not.
"I'm Jonathan Chan..."

"maylu tilts head to one side" n-nice to meet u im maylu

Jonathan looks around the corner, the tips of his ears sticking out
"Why are you here?"

m-my mom is oing on a trip so she left me here with a friend of hers "maylu says and she holds her knees to her chest"

Jonathan came in the room, a little scared at the newcomer.
"I haven't seen you before. you are living with my dad?"

"maylu nods and wraps tail around feet"

Jonathan looks at her for another moment, and the first thing in his thought, to which he would probably regret at a later date was...
"Are you trying to steal my dad?"

"maylu just sat there and didnt respond"

Jonathan sharply looked up. Shiro walked in.
"Ah well, it looks like you met my son, Jonathan. I am sure you have introduced yourself, Jonathan?" Shiro said looking at Maylu.
"She is trying to steal you, dad..." Jonathan muttered.
"Sweetie, the only person who would be doing that would be your mother." Shiro's face darkened for a sec, then returned to it's chipper self.
"Maylu will be staying with us for a while, so go shake her paw."
Jonathan shuffled into the room, and stuck out a paw for Maylu.

"maylu takes jonathans paw and shakes it softly"

Shiro smiled when Jonathan shook her hand and smiled, then said "ur paws are soft."

"maylu blushed bright red and says softly" thanks i use a special body soap that keeps my fur soft and bright.

Jonathan said to Maylu "What is it called?"
Shiro smiled moar and thought to himself that Maylu would fit in well.

"maylu stared into johnathans eyes and says" well the brand is called care for fur but there diffrent kinds for diffrent species so mine would probly make ur furfeel diffrent.

Jonathan stared into her eyes too.
"I'll ask dad to get some... won't you dad?"
Shiro grinned "Sure son. I let you two be." he left.
Jonathan hadn't let go of her paw.

"maylu takes her paw from johnathans grip and curls into ball using arms to hold legs to chest"

A battered, black sports car rolled up outside the care centre. Loud rock music blasted through the car speakers before the driver turned the engine off, the thick set timber wolf jumped out of the car, went round to the other door, and pulled out the young feline who had been in the passenger seat...
"Right, Kitt... yous gonna enjoy yerself here, right? Im gonna be away with the lads and yous not gonna make no trouble, right?"
The young feline nodded, he was a teenager, and yet Danny still made him feel like he was three years old...
"Danny, why does ya keep chucking me in crappy places like this?"
The Timberwolf scowled as he chiveyed Kitt towards the care centre entrance... "I told yas, dont call me Danny... its Dan you idiot.... and why does that matter ta you? I take ya where i want, an' if i say yours staying at some care centre while im off with my mates, then thats what im doin', gottit?"
The two walked through the care centre doors, Danny with his several ear and lip piercings, as well as the ripped jeans.. Pulling Kitt behind him, with his single shoulderbag of belongings, three quarterlength jeans and scruffy unkempt hair that fell partially over one amber eye...
Danny pulled Kitt along to the reception area, looking around for someone to unload the Kid on....

Jonathan stayed in the room with Maylu. He sat down on the side of the bed and just looked at Maylu.
She was very pretty.
Shiro walked outside to see the rough timberwolf usher the small feline teenage inside.
"Ehem... May I help you?"

"maylu lays flat on her stomache and closes her eyes" good night "she says while yawning"

Danny walked to the fox, pulling Kitt along behind him..
"Hi, I'm Dan... Dan Venetti, i'm here to drop off the kid for his stay here..."
Kitt scowled behind his adopted carer, he scuffed his foot across the floor, watching the two adults talk between themselves.....

Shiro waves over a secretary, who confirms his appointment.
"Okay, Mr. Venetti. And you are dropping off.... Kitt is it?"
He smiled at the small feline.
"Well, Mr. Venetti, unless you have some care information or items for me to take inside, you can leave him in safe hands."

Jonathan was now sitting next to a sleeping girl, and it kinda scared him a little. All of the rest of the little girls in the care were very noisy and destructive. This one was quiet, like he was. It was a little odd that a creature like this existed. He just sat there for a long time.

"Yeah, tha's him... and no, he should have everythin' with 'im.. he's used ta going to care centres by now arent ya Kitt?"
Kitt nodded dumbly, not daring to return the smile to he tall fox, he looked down at his feet, scuffing back and forth against the floor...
"right, well i'l see ya in a coupla weeks Kitt... if ya need to get hold o' me i think i left m' mobile number with you when i booked 'im in...."
With that the wolf walked briskly out of the care centre, ruffling Kitt's hair rather roughly as he passed... he jogged over to the car, and with a loud rumble, started up and rove off...
Kitt shook his head, straightening out his hair again so it fell partially over one eye... and looked meekly up at the Fox....

Shiro looked at the car drive off, then his gaze returned to Kitt.
"Well, looks like he was in a hurry. Wonder why." he said, looking knowingly at Kitt.
"Anyways, looks like this is going to be your home for a while. Here. Let me show you to your room."

Kitt shrugged, looking up at Shiro from under his protective fringe of hair...
"He's always in a hurry to leave me in someone else's care...."
With that he scuffed his foot against the floor once more, before following Shiro to his room....

"maylu wakes up from her cat nap and streacs out on the floor then looks at johnathan with curiosity"

While Maylu was asleep, Jonathan had fallen asleep sitting up. Shiro walked by with Kitt, pausing to look into the room. He saw both of them asleep, and grinned.
"Okay Kitt, this is your room. Right here." he lead him to the room two down from Maylu's.
"So why does your dad keep moving you around?"

"maylu decidesto walk downstairs and wanders around into th kitchen and decides to look for some food"

"HE's not my dad.... my dad died when i was eight months old, along with my mum.... thats Danny, my adopted carer...."
Kitt walked into the room behind Shiro, looking around...
"And i guess he just doesnt like me.... he's always chucking me in places like this, and then going off with mates for the coupla weeks im here..."
he sighed, shrugging...
"Thats just how it is.... thats just how its been for fiteen years now..."

"Really? I'm sorry. To be stuck with someone like that for all this time. If you like it here, you can live here if you want. We would have to go through the paperwork, but If he is really that bad, you can stay as long as you like." Shiro said to kitt, opening the door.
Jonathan was still sleeping when Maylu got back, curled up on the ground.

"maylu shakes johnathn awake"

Kitt stopped momentarily... looking up at Shiro as if he'd just thrown down a ladder to freedom.... he shook his head slightly, blinking...
"Uh.... i dunno.... i mean..."
he stopped again, following Shiro through the door into the room...
"I dont think Danny would mind, he'd be rid of me...."
The feline looked up at Shiro, his bright amber eyes shining, he mumbled "Its my birthday tomorrow... im sixteen and he didnt even remember or care.... yeah, id rather stay here than with him...."

Shiro smiled, a practice he had almost perfected. "You stay as long as you need."
Jonathan woke up with a start.
"Muraaf?!"

"maylu is hoding out a turkey sandwhich to u but doesn say a wrd"

Jonathan looks confuzed at the sandwitch, then realizes it's for him and takes it.
"Thank you."

Kitt smiled back, throwing his bag down onto the bed... "Thanks.... uh, where can i get something to eat, i haven't had breakfast yet...."

"Well there is a kitchen downstairs. I am sure the cook there should be ble to get you something. And by that turkey smell, i am pretty sure someone has beaten you there."

"maylu nods silently and sits on floor sweeping her tail accross the flor"

Jonathan nibbled at the edge of the sandwich, looking down while doing it, sitting cross-legged on the floor.

Kitt thanked Shiro again, mumbling as he walked out.... walking quietly down towards the kitchen his tail flicked behind him....

maylu stands at window and stares out"

Jonathan looks up at Maylu. "Wassa matter?"

"maylu shakes her head and doesnt speak"

Kitt walked back towards his room having eaten down at the kitchen, he passed rooms all with closed doors, except one which was open... in it he saw a young fox who looked just like Shiro, and somone else... before he passed the door and carried on towards his own room... he gave a sigh, scuffing his shoe as he walked...

Jonathan gets up and walks over to the window. "U sure?"
Shiro went back to his office. He called the board.
"Hello... i have a case that may be detrimental to a care child. I would like all info on one Kitt."

Kitt sat on his bed, kicking his legs back and forth.... he'd pulled out a notepad and pencil from his shoulderbag, and was doodling at random across a page.... He seemed to favour intricate interweaving patterns and geometry, occasionally interspersed with random doodles.... Tail flicking he rolled over onto his stomach, and continued to doodle....

"maylu opens the window and sits in the frame singing a childrens song"

"No... Kitt.. two T's.... yes... yes... today?... okay.... thank you..."
Shiro sat down, waiting for them to get him the file on Kitt
Jonathan watches Maylu, almost mesmerized with her. He liked the song she was singing though, so he tried to imitate it.

"maylu suddenly stops singing and says in an almost un noticabl voice"when the dawn breaks well be togather again and when that comes ill stay with you forever and a day"and swings bak and forth in the window"

Throwing the notepad onto the bed Kitt walked out of his room.... he took out his mobile and texted his friend as he walked.... Danny had made Kitt move from his hometown, and therefore he now knew very few of his friends.... A couple he managed to keep contact with over texts occasionally....

Jonathan looked over at Maylu. She was pretty, but he was still a little worried. This type of girl was new to him. She was more like he was, quiet and shy at times. He tried to hear what she said, but only got a snippet. He continued standing there next to the window, unsure of what to do. She obviously didn't cringe or make him go away, or punch him like the other girls in the care room had, but she might later. Unless she objected or something happened, he liked just standing in Maylu's presence.

"after a few minutes of singing maylu stops and just sits i the window"

Shiro was using his computer to play games while he waited for the file on Kitt to arrive, when he remembered that his son was missing. He got up and went to the room Maylu was in, found the door open, and looked at the two standing by the window.
"So, getting comfortable here Maylu? Think you could live here while your mom is away?"

Kitt walked along the corridor, texting one of the only friends he was still in contact with... he smiled, rapidly texting back to Anya... she had made a comment on Danny that had made Kitt almost laugh out loud.... He passed the open door where Shiro and what he could only presume was his son in the room down from his his...
He stopped, sent the text back, and then walked up to the door, looking up at SHiro...
"Hi, erm... what is there to do round here... m' kinda bored..."
His tail flicked nervously, whenever he'd told danny he was bored his 'carer' would send him down to the corner shop to buy a pack of cigarettes or a sixpack of beer for Danny and his mates.... either that or he'd give him a good smack round the ear and tell him to find somthing to do...

Shiro looked over at Kitt.
"Well, you are a teenager, aren't you? It's not like you are 8 and need a parent the whole time. You are free to wander around the city as long as it is in the general area of the care center. Otherwise, just don't get into too much trouble. Oh, also, there is a room on the second floor where the teen furs usually hang. You should go meet some of them."

Kitt nodded... "Cool... thanks..." He walked off, heading for the second floor of the centre.... the whole building was pretty big, having once been a block apartments.... He pushed his way through a set of double doors, the sound of laughter, loud music and explosions could be heard all the way down the corridor, and once in the teen's common room the sound was loud, really... loud....
A group sat around a widescreen tv, playing what looked like Halo3... several others clutstered round, shouting and jeering.... in one corner another group had a radio on full blast, playing hardcore till i die tracks while chatting... the rest where doing whatever they felt like doing, reading, chatting, and in a few cases making out....
Kitt was greeted by three furs who had been chatting near the doorway... the nearest, a wolf fur with silvery grey fur and bright red tank top....
"Hey... your the newbie right?... well I'm Tess, thats Jake, and thats Laurance.... "
kitt nodded to the other two, a dark furred fox and a hawk avian...
"C'mon, lets get outta here... too many hormonal guys playing halo for my likes...." She winked to Kitt, grabbing his wrist and pulling him back out the door...

"maylu nodded to shiro silently"

"Okay then. Jonathan. Lets let Maylu get used to her room. You wanna play halo?"
Jonathan looked up, paused, then slowly got up and walked to the door. He looked behind him one more time, then left the room.
As Shiro and Jonathan walked down the hall, shiro inquired. "You like her don't you."
Jonathan looked up at Shiro.
"She is different than the other girls, that is for sure."
"Well, it was kinda obvious when you didn't leap up at an opportunity to play halo."

"So.... how'd you get stuck in this place?"
Tess and Kitt where sitting side by side on the park wall, a few metres away Jake and Laurance where skating in the park ramps...
"Well... my parents died i was young... really young.... and my carer's a twat....."
Kitt fell silent again, swinging his legs back and forth... Tess nodded before continuing...
"You'r kinda quiet arentcha? Not like most the guys here.... You stick with me Jake and Laurance, you'l do fine kid... Say, how old'r you anyway? dont think you mentioned it...."
Kitt bit his lip, watching Jake almost fall off his board, before answering... "I'm Sixteen tomorrow...." He thought to himself about Danny, that idiot never remembered his birthdays.... Tess raised an eyebrow, her tail flicking...
"Well im Sixteen, Jake over there is seventeen, but honestly he acts more like a three year old, and Laurance is almost eighteen now...."
She jumped down from the wall, brushed herself off and grabbed Kitt's wrist, pulling him over to the skating ramps...
"C'mon, we'l go get somthin' ta eat...."

"maylu walks out of her room and wanders into the teenage part of the center not sure where things are she is lost"

Jonathan sat in the corner, on the computer, playing Command and Conquer with a small crowd of kids around him, shouting in unison things he should be doing.
"Hit chryo beam on that group!"
"No! Ur Vindicators got destroyed!"
"I wanna see those german shepherds again."
Jonathan played well, and he was very sucked into the game.

Kitt and his three new friends walked back towards the care centre; street lamps flickered on as they walked, Jake walked along a low wall, his tail swishing behind him for balance...
"Hey Kitt.... uhm... me n' Laurence have got somthin' to sort out in town.... you and Jake go on to the care centre while we sort it out.. okay?"
Kitt nodded, Jake jumped down beside him and put an arm around the smaller felines shoulder...
"C'mon Buddy... them two wont be that long... just gotta go down to the mechanics in town..."
Kitt looked up at Jake as the care centre came into view up the road... "Why they gotta go there?"
Jake gulped "Oh, uhm... no reason... just gotta pick up somthin' is all...."
Kitt frowned as Jake flicked his fringe out of his eyes... "Riiiight.... no reason..."
The two finally reached the care centre and went back up to the teen common room... it had quieted down a bit as the radio had been taken away and the avid halo gamers had been replaced by splinter cell.... Jake slumped down into a large beanbag, Kitt copied him, slumping into one beside him.... he yawned, he'd been up since early so danny could drop him off.... Jake noticed him yawn and raised an eyebrow...
"You gettin' tired buddy? Musta been a long day fer ya..."

Jonathan, who had been playing C&C most of the night, looked around and saw the new kid and Jake come in. He pushed back his chair and walked over.
"You must be the new kid." he said, walking over with an air of friendly confidence.

Kitt was about to speak, when Jake interrupted, punching Kitt jokily in the shoulder... "Yeah, he's the newbie alright!"
Kitt punched him back, but smirked anyway "Yeah im the new kid... uhm, are you like.... is Shiro your dad or somthin'? You look just like him..."
Jake rolled his eyes, lounging back in his seat....

Jonathan nodded.
"Yes, Shiro is my dad. I just came over to say hi and that if you need anything, come ask." he grinned and walked back to his computer.

"Oh right.... thanks i guess..."
As Jonathan walked back to the computer Kitt lounged back in his seat and yawned, the doors to the teens common room swung open as Tess and Jake walked in... seeing Laurance and Kitt on the opposite side of the room they walked over...
"Hey you two... told ya we wouldnt be long..."
They sat down as well as Kitt watched Tess curiously...
"wheredya go?"
Tess shrugged... "Oh... just pickin' some stuff up from the mechanics.... tomorrow i'l show you the garage we've set up here... any of the teens living here can use it, me Jake and laurance have all got bikes down there..."
Kitt looked up at the mention of bikes... "Really, what kind?"
Tess laughed, flicking her fringe out of her eyes... "the motor kind..."

"maylu finds shiro and walks up behind him and tugs on his shirt sleeve"

Shiro turned and looked down at Maylu.
"Why hello there. What might you be doing out here?" he said.

"maylu stuttered as she says" i was looking around but now i cant find my way back to my room"then maylu stares at the floor"

"Hey Kiddo! Getting kinda late, you'l probably wanna get some sleep eh?"
Tess watched as Kitt stifled a yawn, smirking.. "No, no... im not tired..."
Kitt ruined it by yawning again, Tess smiled, flicking her fringe out of her eyes...
"Look Kitt, no need to act hard just for me..." Kitt blushed, looking away ... "But i'm gonna go ta bed now, an' so's Jake probably... so come on... we can get up to some crazy stuff tomorrow, kay?"
Kitt nodded as they got up from the now empty and dark teen's common room and made their way back to their respective bedrooms...

Shiro Grinned
"Well then, Let's see if we can find that pesky room. I am sure it is around here somewhere."
He held out his hand to Maylu.

"maylu nerviously took shiro hand and followed him"

Kitt finally found his room, it was completely dark outside now, the corridors where lit up by warm electric lights as Kitt yawned... he pushed open the door and locked it behind him... undressing he finally slid into bed, falling asleep almost instantly.... tomorrow he would be 16.... and as usual, Danny would have forgotten.... he wished his parents hadnt died......

Shiro grinned.
"Come on, it's getting late."
he lead her to her room. "You sleep well now." he said, as he closed the door to her room. He looked up after closing the door, and walked over to Kitt's room where the door had not entirely shut from his kick. He opened it a little seeing Kitt in a lump on the bed, and chuckled softly.
"Night, birthday boy." he said quietly.
He closed the door, and went back to his room. Jonathan was asleep on his bed too. He took his tie off, and himself crumpled onto the bed.
"Ughhhh... looong day...." he said, and fell asleep.

"maylu curls up into a ball on her bed and closes her eyes and goes to sleep"

Kitt woke the next morning, weak morning sunlight lancing through the curtains of his new room... blinking he tried to pull the covers over his head, but only succeeded in half strangling himself.... resigning to the fact he would have to get dressed and wake up, he slid out of bed....
After five or so minutes he had managed to get dressed without injury to himself, though he had managed to almost crack his head open on the chest of drawers accidentally... rubbing his now rather sore forehead he padded out of his bedroom, and made his way quietly down to the kitchens.... Windows he passed showed the beginning to a perfect day, the sun was a warm golden yellow, and only a few clouds scudded across the brilliantly blue sky... padding softly down the flight of stairs he found the kitchens rather empty, with breakfast being served to those few that where already awake...

Shiro woke up first, seeing Jonathan still asleep in his little pile. He got dressed and went down the stairs to the kitchen, and arrived around the time Kitt got there.
"Hello birthday boy. How'd you sleep?" he said, rubbing the back of his head, getting his hair into some sort of shape.

Kitt took a large bite from a fresh bread roll just as Shiro walked in.... "Birthday?" .. He mumbled past the bread in his mouth, swallowing it took his still half asleep brain several seconds to realise what Shiro was talking about.... "Oh yeah.... thanks...." He smiled, nobody had ever really remembered his brithday, except maybe his best friends... but he'd moved ages ago now, he only got texts.... Tail flicking happily he took another bite from the bread roll... "yeah i slept well... you?"

"maylu wakes and uncurls from her ball to sit upright on her bed. she streaches out her body over the length of the bed, after her streach she hops off her bed removes her cloths from the day before and rifles through her bag of cloths she had brought with her and finds a pink pawprint pj top. unable to find to pants to match her top she puts on a pair of low cut shorts and walks down to the kitchchen and thinks to her self"i wonder if there serving fish i sure hope so. "she says with a smile on her face as she walks to the kitchen door to see kitt and shiro talking. she makes a small soft yelping noise and hides behind the door hoping not to be noticed"

Shiro grabbed a roll and sat down next to Kitt.
"Okay, i suppose. Haven't been getting very much sleep lately."

Kitt looked up at the sound of a yelp, he looked towards the door and for the tiniest of seconds thought he saw a tail flick behind it... shaking his head and dismissing it as him still being half asleep he looked up at Shiro...
"That so?... Must be hard for you, running this place.. like, pretty much all yourself.... or summin..."
he mumbled, still yawning every now and then in-between bites of bread roll... On the other side of the kitchens Tess walked down the main steps in her usual camo shorts and red tank top. She gave a wide yawn before setting off to wake herself up with some coffee.... she noticed Kitt and gave him a wave, indicating the now boiling Kettle as if explaining she would come over to say hello later, when coffee was ready... he waved back, taking another bite of bread roll...

"Eh, I do what I can." he said, shrugging
He caught the look between them.
"Huh? Oh. Tess. You should watch out for that one, she has a tendancy to drag people into things that are real big." He said with a big grin.

Kitt shrugged nonchalantly, though he failed to fully cover up his sudden blush.... he choked an a particularly large mouthfull of bread, coughing several times he looked up as Tess walked over with a now steaming mug of coffee... she sat on the table opposite them and nodded to Shiro...
"Mornin' Shiro.... Hey Kitt, me Jake an' Laurance have got somthin' for ya down at in the garage.... c'mon, when i finished this coffee we show you, right?"
She winked conspiratorially to Shiro, smiling as she took a sip of the piping hot black coffee....

"maylu walks out from behind the door and takes a seat at the empty table at the far end of the kitchen"

Shiro smiled and saw Maylu sit down across the table.
"You will excuse me for a moment? I need to check on another one of our newer additions."
He got up and moved over to Maylu.
"So, how did you sleep?"

"maylu stuttered her words" i slept fine

Shiro smiled.
"Moving in nicely? If you need anything for your room, just give me a call."

"So, ya sleep well Kitt?"
Tess smiled, sitting down beside Kitt, taking another sip of coffee... Kitt shrugged, swallowing the last of the bread roll.. "I slept well....."
He started to get up, but was pulled back down by Tess, she was unexpectedly strong...
"Hey! Wait here a sec, i still aint finished my coffee kiddo..."

Shiro smiled, and patted Maylu on the back. He looked back up, hearing Tess.
"Well, you had better drink it fast. I have on my schedual that it is beach day today!" he said in a mock voice.
Several of the kids cheered, while a couple shrugged in the corners, but the vote was unanimous. They were going to the beach that day.
"Maybe you will meet some friends there, Maylu." he said, looking back at the cat.

Tess downed the rest of her coffee, she turned to Kitt as she stood up... "Hey Kitt.... you been to th' beach b'fore?... This ones a real nice place..."
Kitt shook his head, he'd grown up in the centre of quite a large city.... Tess smirked, pulling him up "Well c'mon then... Hey Mr.Shiro! Me n' Jake can take Kitt on the bikes if thats alright with you..."
She smiled up at Shiro hopefully, tail flicking anxiously... she was a safe driver on her bike, even though she had only had the license a few months.... "C'mon Mr.Shiro... ya know im real safe drivin'... and i'l be extra carefull with Kitt n' all..."

Shiro mocked thought, and scratched his chin.
"Hmmm... well... alright, but only with his concent."
one of the kids came up to him.
"Can I go on teh bike toooo? Pweaze?"
"No, Liddia, maybe when you are older." he said smiling.
"Well everyone get packing, i have to go find that sleepy son of mine."

Tess smirked, punching Shiro lightly on the shoulder... "You da best Mr. Shiro..... C'mon Kitt... we'l go find ya a helmet and get the rest of the stuff.... pluuuus, me Jake and Laurence still havnt shown ya your birthday surprise!"
Kitt raised an eyebrow... "Tess... I... You...." He blushed, tail flicking "You didn' need to get me nuthin..."
Tess frowned, tapping her foot on the ground... "Look... It wasnt much, i just pulled in a favour from Dan down at the garage aaand...."
She stopped "I said Garage didnt i?" Kitt nodded, smirking.... Tess grabbed his wrist pulling him towards the main entrance of the care home.. "Oh screw it, i suck at keeping secrets.... c'mon, helmet..." She passed Shiro on the way out, smiling again....

"maylus wraped her tail around around her waist and said to shiro" i dont think ill be able to go i never learned how to swim and i dont have a swim suit"

Shiro smiled.
"You can borrow one from the shelves in the back, and it doesn't matter if you swim. Many of the kids just hang out on the beachside."

"Hey Kitt, you got swimming stuff?"
Kitt nodded, he'd gone swimming at the local pool in his town, but never a beach before...
"Well you go get it buddy... i'l find a helmet and me and jake will get the bikes out and ready alright?"
Kitt nodded, and set off at a run towards his room to get his stuff, as soon as he turned the corner, Tess also broke into a run towards the garage...
"Jake, c'monweneedtogetthebikesoutnowbeforekittgetsback!"
Jake blinked twice... he shook his head and blinked again....
"Nope... that sentence still doesnt make sense Tess... you wanna try again a lil' slower?" Tess growled, grabbing two helmets... "Look, kitt's surprise is still in here, and we dont want him to see it till we fix it up do we?"
Jake nodded, annoyingly slowly "Ah right... yeah okay i'l help.... though i dunno if i can get it fixed for him by tonight..."
Back in his room Kitt zipped up his bag and started to run back towards the garage.... he'd completely forgotten about his birthday, being so excited about going to the beach...

"maylu walks over to the shelve and looks around, after a few minutes maylu picks out a pink one piece suit with paw prints. maylu runs up to her room and changes into the swim suit and puts a long shirt on over it snd runs outside and sits on the porch waiting for everyone else"

Shiro called up the bus, run by an older portly stoat.
"C'mon kids! Were going to the beach todayz!." he said, after he drove the big bus up to the front of the porch.
"Heya Charles. Any surprises for the kids today?" Shiro said, as he looked up at the stoat.
"Nupe... but i do neen u to give this to Tess. She 'as been askin for it for a while now." he handed down two double fender exhaust pipes.
"Heh, you spoil those kids... allright, i know where she is."
he turned to the crowd of kids.
"Okay, everyone on the bus, i need to make a quick delivery."
As the kids shuffled in, Shiro went out to the Garage and put the fenders down next to the bikes as Tess and Jake ran in the room.
"Oh, hey kids. Charles sent these down."

Tess punched Shiro in the shoulder, giving a whoop of joy.... "Sweet! Hey Jake, cover it up quick!"
Jake grabbed a large, oil-stained, tarpaulin and threw it over a second hand dirt bike... just in the nick of time Kitt came running through the garage doors and ran straight into Tess, almost nocking both of them into a workbench covered in tools...
"hey Tess, i got my stuff, lets go!"
he stopped, and looked past Tess at Jake, who was whistling suspiciously beside a somthing covered up... "Oh.. hey Kitt.. sorry but i cant come to th' beach t'day... gotta go to a job interview soon.. you guys have a good time alright?"
With that he walked out, leaving Tess to lead Kitt back out of the garage, winking when Shiro looked from them to the covered up bike....

Shiro smiled and looked at the kids.
"Well, I gotta make sure you guys are safe... plus, i got a little bit of a surprise for you kids. Half a sec... there is something about this Garage that you don't know about." he pulled out his walkie talky.
"Yo, Charles... Tell Jonathan to come out here. I know he has always wanted a ride on my baby."
"Same ol' shiro... alright, i'll get 'im"
Shiro went to the back to a tool board and lifted. The rack went up into the ceiling to reveal an mint condition 94 Harley Heritage Nostalgia with a big pinup painting of Harley Quinn on the side and many modifications.
"Fellas? Meet Harley... not an original name, i know, but I got her back before I bought this place. I guess now is the best place to test drive."

Tess actually drooled at the sight of the bike, she wiped her muzzle hurriedly, blushing when Jake elbowed her in the ribs...
"Wow...... Mr.Shiro.... i gotta new found respect for ya..." She smirked, grabbing her helmet, and a second one for Kitt.. "Here, that should fit ya... sorry 'bout the mud on it... c'mon then, lets get this show on the road!"
She pulled a cover off her own bike, a SR40 Street Scrambler.. modern components, retro style.... The dark red cover matched her tank top perfectly, and most of the recent mud had been scrubbed off... "you ride pillion, just stuff your bag into the saddle bags.... and Mr.Shiro, i'l be real carefully... i know this is my first time with a pillion rider n' all so i'l be axtra carefull with 'im.."
She smiled at Shiro, before jumping onto the bike and starting up the engine...

"Be gentle with him to start, and he'll be gentle to you. Okay..."
Shiro came running up.
"Can I ride it daddy! Can I??"
"Yes, Jonathan, you can. Hop on and put your helmet on."
Jonathan jumped on the back as Shiro started the engines, booming a fury of engine.
"Okay, you kids ready?"

Tess nodded, winking to Shiro through her full face offf-road helmet... Kitt nodded as well, sitting closer than really needed behind Tess and feeling slightly less confident all of a sudden...
"Lets go to the beeeeach!"
She revved the enginer twice, then let rip, accelerating slower than normal to compensate for her passenger... driving past the bus she gave a thumbs up and a wave to the driver and opened the throttle a little more...
"you good back there Kitt?"
"Hell yeah!"
Tess sniggered, opening the throttle with a roar....

Shiro looked back at his son.
"Hold on tight, lets see if we can catch up to our friends."
Jonathan nodded and Shiro rocketed down the street past the bus. Jonathan saw Maylu in the back of the bus and waved, then Shiro drove up behind Kitt, Jake, and Tess.

Jake waved to the others, before taking a left turning towards the town centre for his job interview..... Tess waved before looking over her shoulder to see Shiro easily catching up... "Dayum, that is one sweet ride Mr.Shiro got.... no wonder he been keepin' it a secret, he woulda known i'd be pesterin' him for a go on it.."
She laughed, overtaking a slow delivery truck....
"The beach aint too far from here, maybe three quarters of n' hour journey?... You good Kitt?" kitt nodded, secretly, he was wishing it was him driving the bike.....

"after the bus gets to the beach maylu walks off and sits at the edge of the beach looking around"

Tess drove past the bus, and up beside a set of public toilets and changing rooms for swimmers... she chained the bike up to a set of iron railings and pulled all the stuff out from the saddlebags... Kitt got off as well, looking down across the beach... it was reasonably empty, and now the group of kids all different ages where piling out of the bus and running down towards the sand, or getting changed into swim suits... he looked back over at Tess and received a bag to the face...
"'yer stuff... jus' get changed quick and we can get down into the water.. looks right warm today!"
With that she stripped, getting changed quickly into a red bikini... Kitt blushed and looked away hurriedly, getting changed into his own black three-quarter-length swim shorts... they still smelt of chlorine from the last time he'd been to a swimming pool...
"Kay... last one in is a rotten.. uhm.. cat!" Tess turned and started to run towards the sea, over the grass verge and down onto the sand dunes.. her tail swished as Kitt shouted and chased after her..
"Hey! I say last one in is a rotten wolf!.."

"maylu decides to takes off the long shirt she put on and walks along the edge of the using her tail to draw patterns in te sand as she walks and wonders to her self" (i wonder if mr shiro is and johnathan are here yet"

Shiro drove up next to the bus and Jonathan jumped off of the bike.
"THAT WAS AMAZING DAD!!! Where did you get this thing? Can i have another ride? Oh my goodness!" Jonathan said running around in circles.
Shiro smiled. "okay okay, yes you can ride back with me. Now why don't you take that excess energy of yours and go find some of your friends. Charles said that Maylu was sitting in the back all alone. Why don't you go look for her?"
Jonathan nodded, gave a whoop of joy, and ran down to the beach.

Jonathan tumbled down the slope of the sandy hill to rest face down. He didn't wait though, he lept up and jumped over to the guard tower to where the kitty was.
"Hai! Watcha doin?"

"I don't swim... my fur doesn't like the salt water. I'd have thought that you would be swiming

"Aww... I'd teach you, but i'd have to show you in something other than salt water."

"maylu shakes her head" no if i went in any water my fur would stink and i dont think that would be good

just as maylu is about to say somthin a large teenage wolf walks over and says"well wat do we have here a couple of kiddes plying in the sand "the kid kicks and in maylus eyes and she falls over and starts crying" aw did i make the little baby cry "the wolf says completly ignoring jonathan"

"Hey! What's your problem?!" he said, moving over to Maylu, comforting her.

Jonathan stood up, brushing the sand off.
"Your beach? Really? Well then i would like to show you otherwise."
Jonathan gave a loud whistle and two big german shepered kids appeared behind the wolf.
"He buggin u Jonathan?"
"Not if he knows what's good for him."

"the wolf lets out a loud laugh" you think some puppys can take me "he swings his foot around but a lrger wolfs grabs him by the bak of his sirt and says"wat have i told u about bullying kids roy if u wanta fight take it up with me "the larger wolf gives the little one a death and and lets go of hima nd then he runs off and the large one turn his attention to maylu" are u ok little one sorry about roy he thinks because our dad is a life guard he can do as he pleases "he extends a hand to maylu and jonathan"

Kitt and Tess lounged in the shallow water, warm waves washed back and forth across the beach... "So... you liked the bike huh?"
Kitt looked up, shaking the water from his eyes... "Yeah i loved it!" His tail flicked ernestly, splashing water accidentally... "Whoa! Watch it... some of us where just starting to get dry..." Tess laughed, stepping up out of the water and walking back to her beach towel.... there she lay down in the sun and motioned for Kitt to come over too...
"you like riding bikes too then?" She looked up at him as he sat down, water dripping from his fur... "Hyeah! I'd love to ride one myself..." She laughed again, lying back as her silvery grey fur started to dry out... "You remind me of me, when i was a bit younger...." Kitt looked over at her, and smirked, looking back out across the beach... He noticed Shiro back up beside the bus and waved to him...
"Hey Tess.. ive just gotta go ask Mr.Shiro somthing, be back soon.." Tess mumbled somthing that could have been okay, between a loud snore... Kitt shrugged and ran up to Shiro...
"Mr.Shiro.. i was, uh... wondering how it was going with getting me permanent residency n' all.... i jus'..." he sighed, looking back at Tess asleep, and eveyone else on the beach.. like on big family... "I jus' dont wanna go back with Danny.... i really dont..."

Shiro looked over to Kitt.
"Don't worry, Kitt. I'll get all the paperwork signed to get you transferred. I think only your statement is the thing that we need." he said, still sitting on his bike watching the kids.

Out of sight of Shiro, Jonathan held Maylu, comforting her.
"Shhh... it's okay. He is gone now..." he had a strange feeling when he was holding her. It was different, but not bad. He couldn't quite put his pawfinger on it... but he didn't want to let go of Maylu, that was definitely apparant

Kitt smiled happily at that... "Thanks Mr.Shiro... Yourtha' best..." With that he ran back down to the beach, past the bus, Tess' chained up bike and the sand dunes before finally reaching the beach towel where Tess had been sleeping...
She'd gone... Looking around in confusion he spotted her just a little down the beach, talking to a tall wolf in a red polo-shirt... walking up to them Tess introduced him as Dezz... "Hey Buddy.... You know Tess then?" Kitt mumbled somthing incoherable, as Tess laughed... "He jus' got dropped off at the care home... Dezz is the lifeguard on duty at this place Kitt.."
Dezz smirked, looking across the shore-line before back to them... "Yup.. if anyone drowns its on my head..."

Shiro looked down over everyone and was amazed by the sincerity and the care that all of the kids had with each other. It seemed like they were all getting along. He just stood there and oversaw, to see if anything was ever amiss.

maylu stands up and walks over to shiro "um mr shiro is it ok if i wait on the bus until we leave" she says as she runs her hands over her tail

Shiro looks down at Liru, a small note of surprise registering on his face.
"Really? I thought you were hanging out with Jonathan. Did he scare you or something?"

maylu shook her head "no mr shiro he was very nice i just feela little tired"

"Well, sure Maylu, go ahead. In fact... i think i will go find that little boy of mine..." he said and smiled.

"hes over theer" maylu points to the life guard tower
