ok, so I've got this friend who i've known since preschool, we used to be tight you know, but at the moment he's a bit insecure about something (IDK what), He's one of those guys for try and hide it by attacking others. He's been spreading the fact that im a furry around, and where I go to school, anything abnormal is just an new excuse for to stone someone verbaly I don't want to lose him as a friend ,but i can't stand to much more verbal abuse. Any suggestions?

Ask him not to tell people you're a fur.
And if he dosn't respect your wishes, then say that the friendship will be on hold until he can start listening to you.
As for the other ignorant folk... Flip em off. :P
No. Really, you could ignore them, or if your quick and snappy, come back at them with a witty comment.
If all else fails, tell a school counseler or trusted teacher. :)

if it is minor abuse, ignore them and it will stop after a while.
if it is more than minor, TELL SOMEONE!
and ask your friend what is up. Just talk a bit, edge into conversation, and find out.
