Camp Himmler...a place where innocence is cremated in the fires of hatred.

Camp Himmler...where the living stare into the eyes of the dead with envy.

Camp Himmler...where pain laughs at you from its throne atop the smokestacks.

Camp Himmler...

Amid the pain and cries for mercy, a tall white fox stood over a woman.  She was strapped to an iron chair and was staring up at the fox in terror.  The fox returned the stare, his cold emerald eyes shining in the dim flourescent light of the room.

"Do you know why you're here miss?" His voice was melodius and smooth but muffled slightly by the surgeon's mask he wore over his muzzle.  The woman shook her head in response.  With a kind smile he knelt down in front of her and lifted her chin so she looked him straight in the eye.  "Now, don't you lie to me.  We both know that you're hiding them.  If you tell me where they are, then I promise that you won't be hurt."

The woman turned her head away from his gaze.  "Burn in Hell..."

"What was that?  I didn't hear what you said."  He bent down closer.

"I SAID BURN IN HELL YOU NAZI *******!!!  I'll never sell out my friends, so you can just give up trying now!"  The woman screamed, tears forming in her eyes.  A loud crack filled the room as his gloved hand made contact with the woman's face.

The fox pointed his index finger at the woman like a scolding mother.  "THAT was very rude...you could have just told me that to begin with.  After all, I have friends too."  He stood up and looked down at the woman.  "Only the slimiest of people would sell out their friends...good people need just cause before they can do that."

"What?"

The fox turned away from the woman and walked over to a cart with a medical tray on top of it.  On the tray was a leather glove, and on it was a nightmarish array of scapels, syringes, and grinders.  The fox picked up the glove and turned back to the woman.  More tears streamed down her eyes as she recalled stories of a Nazi soldier who went beyond the normal lengths of cruelty, who was a demon amongst monsters.

She had thought he was a horror story to frighten rookies.

But here he stood, as real and as terrifying as every story had described.

"Needles........"  The woman whispered in awestruck horror as he donned the glove on his right hand.

"A pleasure to make your aquaintence, miss.  Now, try to move as much as possible.  It'll hurt more that way!"  His voice had lost all kindness and had been replaced by a raspy cackle.  One of the grinders whirred to life as he moved in closer.

Then her screaming drowned out even that.

~Later~

The fox walked out of the interrogation chamber with a content smile on his bloodspattered face.  He threw his soiled uniform to one of the soldiers who had been waiting outside the door.  "Here...get this cleaned and tell Major Heidelberg that the Liberation bomb shelter is near the Headstaff Bridge.  If he asks how you know, tell him Lt. Colonel Entaru Korin told you."

"Yes sir!"  The soldier trotted away.  Entaru walked into his office, pulling off his glove and placing it in it's custom cleaning container, sat down.  It had been a good days work and he was satisfied.

Then the phone rang.

Soria groaned as she awoke from unconsciousness. She opened her eyes and noticed she couldn't get up. Her eyes adjusted to the darkness and her ears finally stopped ringing. She heard groaning all around her, but one in particular was especially loud. Soria looked up and saw her ex-husband's face, bleeding profusely, and a shattered overhang light in his back. She stammered, "J-Jin... why? You hated Constellation." Jin groaned and croaked as he spoke, coughing portions of blood, "I... I still do. But I still love you... *chuckle* ...at... at least now, y-you don't have to worry... *deep inhale* ...about killing me. It was good to see you... one... las-..." Jin slumped over and exhaled his last breath. Soria sniffled a little, but tried to keep her composure. "J-jin? Jin?" She sniffled and kissed his cheek before rolling him gently off of her. Soria slowly got up and looked around. The basement of this business complex was restructured as a bomb shelter at the beginning of the arms race for such an occasion, but she hoped the worst for the douchebag who chose overhangs for lights. Soldiers started pouring in from all around. "Alright, everyone get up! We have to evacuate now! Line up and we can all get out of here! Unfortunately, we'll all have to search you all! There has been many spies reported around our facilities. Now line up!"

All the people lined up, and Soria decided to heave up Jin onto her shoulder and allowed her emotions to run free this one time, so she can get  past the soldiers. There were 3 checkpoints, though it was just one examination and two more points of guards to protect the people. When she got to the first point, Soria whipped up her tears as the men asked her who she was. "I...I'm Jacqueline Chow. This is my husband, Jin Chow, he was head of the Defense and we were having lunch when..." The soldiers waved her off, feeling annoyed by her. As she reached the third checkpoint, one of the soldiers followed Soria and checked Jin. "Oh my god! Captain Jin! *turns to Soria* And who are...?  ....!!!! You're his ex-wife, aren't you!? You're the most wanted soldier from Constellation, Soria Xing!" He quickly raised his rifle at her face. %^@%&!!! I'm sorry Jin. Soria dropped Jin's body and ducked down, kicking up on the man's trigger hand, disarming him, and grabbed it, nailing the soldier in the chin. The other soldiers at that station became aware and came out. Soria quickly emptied the rifle on them and ejected the clip. She quickly grabbed the unconscious soldier's remaining 4 clips and ran with the m4-b2 carbine.

"Look, I told you, I'm a scientist, not a spy!" "Yes, we heard you the first time, Nazi prick." In the middle of a make-shift Liberation interrogate room sat Howl Ackart, who had been tied up and the dried up blood of recent beatings stained his head and lips, bruises covered his body, and the annoyance of the false accusations was displayed upon his face. Two men stood over him, and instead of a good cop, bad cop scenario, they were being just a bunch of ignorant twats. "Look, as I've told you before, I'm a researcher working for the LIBERATION, not some petty spy for the Fourth Reich!" The interrogators merely rolled their eyes. "Well, then tell us what department you were working in." "That's classified." One of the men got angry and yelled right in Howl's face, "RUBBISH!" After that, he repeatedly punched him for about 10 seconds before the other man stopped him. "Look, he's go to be alive when we get him to the base." Howl spat out blood and looked the soldier who had just let out a fury of fists upon him. "Essen Sie Crap unverständig Schweinen!" Of course, this "Liberation-ist" had no clue of what those words meant, but it was a good enough reason to let out another set of punches. He lifted his fist and was about to bring it down on Howl for about the 50th time until a sudden explosion went off outside. "What the?!" The door flew open and a set of Nazi's poured in, gunning down the interrogators. The leader of the unit walked up to Howl. "Ah, Herr Ackart, Hitler haben will sie zurück in Deutschland, in denen sie gehören." Howl shook his head. "Nein, Ich linke für ein Grund, und es war zu tun mit den mag sie um schließlich erreichen intergalaktischen Erforschung!" The man shook his head and cut Howl's bonds, then let two other soldiers take hold of him. "Unverständig Howl. Sie wissen, daß Spring wird sie nirgendwo." He then turned to his men, "Erhalten Sie ihn im Auto, wir verschieben."

They walked outside to a desolate wasteland of ruined skyscrapers that once stood tall, touching the clouds, and homes of it's faithful citizens, all going about their day until one bomb destroyed all they once knew. Howl was put into the back of car, that held both the leader of the unit and several officers. The rest of the men rode in the back of an APC, holding about 11 soldiers. Their, they drove off to the Nazi base, where Howl was destined to a life of excessive work and suffering...or so he might think.

(Sorry for the excessive amounts of German, I am neither German nor do I know the language. I think you all know how I managed it.)

Do you....ever get the feeling that you're slowly becoming Little Red Riding Hood? Moon ensured her thought was peppered with intense sarcasm.

Hun, Atreyu thought back, they've got guns. We can't just up and walk away like we own the place.

Just sayin'.

At this, he gave her a sideways look, then turned his attention to the two strangers: a canine and a feline who, for reasons neither child understood, walked quite close to each other. They didn't dress llike Nazis, they didn't act like Nazis, and they certainly didn't talk like Nazis...but that still wasn't enough evidence to prove they weren't. Eventually, the four of them arrived at the city square, amongst a gathering of tarps, tents, and the hustle and bussle of people dressed in similar camo and khaki attire- except for one, one who was distinctivley diffrent to them, even at this distance. One whom the children recognized.

Soria breathed heavily as she hid in a tight alley, soldiers still on her tail. She was still quite a ways from the edge of town where she had hidden her gear, and she was running out of ammunition. Even with a sharpshooter like her, m4 carbines, despite their models, are just not the most accurate guns in the world past 200 meters. She heard more footsteps and shouting. Damn! Soria looked around and decided to press her legs against the sides of the alley and slowly climbed up and took aim, watching both sides around her.

Philip marched down the hall at a brisk pace. He didn't bother to acknowledge the weird looks of the other servicemen. The hallway was a stainless steel color, just like the rest of the base, or at least the Barracks and Medical Wing. At the end of the hallway was a door that red with a gold embellished plaque, which was more of a warning then a bragging right.
'Lt. Colonel Entaru Korin' it read.

Philip wasn't a fan of 'Needles' his nickname he quickly received for using the medical equipment to abuse prisoners. "The last interrogation he had was.... messy to say the least" He said to himself before knocking on the door.

"Lt. Colonel Entaru Korin, I'm Lance Corporal Philip DeBouran, Project SERPENTUS, just like you requested Sir!"

"Come in Corporal." Entaru had just finished his conversation on the phone.  It had been his brother, with an urgent mission straight from the Fuehrer himself.

He was being tasked with finding the missing super-children.  He would be working with the invasion supervisor, Burgandy.  Burgandy wasn't known for his stability, but Entaru found this opportunity too much to miss.  Unfortunately, Entaru hardly excelled in combat and the children were lost far behind enemy lines.  Corporal DeBouran was a member of the XAMOR Project, one of many attempts at cloning soldiers and the first to succeed.  Entaru had helped work on it, but not enough to be given any credit for it.

Entaru looked Philip up and down from his desk as he entered. "I've called you here, Corporal, because I am in need of armed escort for a mission I was assigned.  We will discuss the details of the mission later.  I need you packed and ready for combat 5 minutes ago.  Understood?"  Entaru didn't care for dealing with those of lower rank and found it to be one of the worst responsibilites of being an officer.

Philip barely opened the door as the Colonel read off his new orders.

"Aye aye sir, You'll find me ready ASAP sir, although the VSHS-5 suit may take some time to get, SIR!" He said, saluting then turning on his heel, he marched out of the room.

"Jerkoff.... I can tell I'll hate this new assignment already..." He grumbled to himself. Turning to the left he found himself in the barracks. Other soldiers gave him hellos and the usual 'Corporal'. Giving them all a nod he walked as fast as he could to his dorm. Opening the door, he hit the light switch.
An uncomfortable little block of space that was all to himself. There wasn't much in it, besides a spare uniform and his SERPENTUS Pass, there was nothing of particular note. Grabbing his uniform and putting it in his bag, and grabbing his pass, he ran to R&D wing.
2 Minutes Passed.

Showing his pass key to the guard at the door, the soldier let him through, taking a left, he found the room oddly full of smoke.
"Had another malfunction today?" He asked one of the SERPENTUS scientists, Hanz Grobbal, who spoke with a thick German accent, and he sounded as if he spoke down upon the American clone, but he had a secret camaraderie with the man, for he tested his inventions.

"Just the standard heating problems with the VSHS-4 suit.... needs to vent steam every once in awhile... you're gonna take my VSHS-5 on a test run?" he asked

"Not just a test run but a full field test, with live fire" The clone answered, like it was just everyday talk. He grabbed the undermesh for the suit and started to zip into it. "Yes.... cold feeling upon my skin once more.... hello VSHS-5..." he thought to himself.
The scientist stopped in his tracks, his face already getting red. "Who authorized you to take MY armor on a full field test! At the rate we're going it needs more time to run some diagnostic checks to make sure it won't explode..." he said before Phil put a finger to the man's lips, shushing him.
"Sorry, but it's orders from Lt. Colonel Entaru Korin himself..." He smiled as the man's anger dissipated and was flush with confusion.

"THE Entaru Korin?! The one they call NEEDLES?" the portly doctor asked.

"Yes exactly... Needles apparently needs some muscle for this little operation of his... he didn't let on any details.. but basically i gotta haul (censored) to get to him on time" Phil replied, with a smug grin, pulling on the boots, once on he could feel the extra boost in strength he felt from the suit.

The scientist said nothing to Phil, , he knew better then not to mess with Needles, as he gathered some more technicians, who helped him gather and place the armor onto Phil's body, sliding the gloves on first. Balling his hands into fists, Phil tested out the new enhanced strength. The extra arm and leg armor was also slid on.
"Yes everything seems to be in order...."
Afterward it was just a race against time to get the chest and back plates together, slide the shoulder guards into place.
Once all that was done, Hanz came back with an instrument to charge up the suit's energy source, which was located in the back armor, which was obviously covered in denser material for more protection.
Once the suit was powered up, Phil slid the helmet into place and locked down into the armor. At first there was nothing but black, but then the outside world was seen again, this time with a compass, life tracker, and an environmental status indicator.

All diagnostic checks were green, everything was working in order, no malfunctions, no bugs in the internal programs. Once suited up Phil grabbed his SM-8, already set out for him with the modifications he asked for. "Guess the people at SERPENTUS finally started to listen to me..." he said to himself, inspecting his new gun. Placing a magazine inside it, he grabbed two more, then grabbed a USP and connected them to his armor via magnetic plates.

2 minutes, 30 seconds passed.

PHil was running down the halls, a lot faster now due to the reflex boost provided by the armor, what would usually take him a few minutes only took seconds. Soon enough he was standing outside the door, in front of the warning of a plaque.
"Lt. Colonel Sir, It's Lance Coproral Phil DeBouran again... all suited up and ready sir!"

Soria groaned as more soldiers began pursuit. She could hear the soldiers yelling orders. "Search the buildings! Check between every alley! The one who comes back with her will get promoted to Captain!" The soldiers hurried more, the sound of feet rushing here and there, getting closer. Soria's heart began racing, so far in enemy territory and her weapons still a mere 10 meters away. She quickly ran straight out through the end of the alley and ran straight for the park at the edge of town. As she ran, gunfire rained down upon her from behind. Soria pointed the gun behind her, without breaking stride and fired blindly, emptying the clip. She ditched the gun and tossed the clips from her pockets. Soria weaved around trees and jumped over the hedges around the center statue. She took out her kabar from inside her belt and started digging vigorously under the only rose bundle there.

Soria's heart raced more as she heard footsteps all around her. She finally got to her bag and grabbed the vest from it, putting it on. The footsteps around her stopped and slowly closed in. She could here commands of taking her in alive for interrogation and then the voice of the soldier that she initially knocked out. "Constellation 2nd Lieutenant, Soria Xing! We have you surrounded, just give up! If you refuse to comply and come quietly, we will not hesitate to shoot you!" Soria hissed under her breath, Like hell you will. I'll see you all dead before I give up. As she finished with her gear, slung her rifle over her shoulder, she checked her 98 Beretta and cocked it. Soria took a deep breath and cleared her head. With quick movement, she lept over the hedge and headed straight for the city border. As she ran, she fired off shots, killing the 3 soldiers standing in her way. Gunfire ensued and were nipping towards her heels as she ran like there was no tomorrow.

Soria saw an old, rusty silo near a broken down house just 200 meters away. She fell into a dead sprint, and dove into the silo. As she rolled, she unslung the rifle and readied it, turning around. Lucky there were holes in the side of the silo. There were many soldiers closing in, but it was too late for them. Soria took aim and fired, the magnum rounds penetrating their flimsy helmets and so-called body armor. She picked them off, timing her shots to pick more than one off with each pull of the trigger. Finally, what she was waiting for, vehicles. She took careful aim, shooting the drivers. The soldiers began to retreat, and she was relaxed for a second, before the car she had her eye on blew up. There was a loud squeaking and the churning of earth and motors. Oh... @#$%&@ Soria quickly picked up her gun and 3 remaining magnum clips and ran straight through the back. She dove out of the way as the oncoming tank fired at the silo.

Entaru opened the door and looked at the soldier once again.  Entaru had already packed and had his full uniform on, along with his sidearm.  His "glove" was hanging from a belt loop, ready to be put on at a moments notice.

"Good.  We already have a vehicle ready, so lets not keep it waiting."  Entaru waved for Phil to follow as he made his way outside of the Camp.

In the lot their vehicle sat primed and ready to go.  It was a captured Liberation Armored Vehicle, with the Fourth Reich Swastika emblazoned over the Liberation Insignia.  As they reached the vehicle, Entaru slid into the passenger seat and turned back to Phil.   "You'll be driving, I'll give you the directions and debrief you as we go."

Giving the colonel a nod, Phil stepped into the driver's seat. He'd actually never driven before, at least the cloned version of him had never driven before.

However when he looked at all the various knobs he knew exactly what they were, as if by instinct, or genetic memory from the original Phil.

"So where we headed sir?" he asked, starting the former Liberation vehicle and pulling out of the Camp.

Ten or so minutes after the initial phone call, Burgandy had begun to plan just exactly how he would beat his own boss to the taking and get his job done earlier than planned. He wouldn’t get in trouble for it, and if he did, then sucking up would be as easy a cheap “I’m sorry.” Duvall valued his Supervisor far too much to get mad over trivial things like this― unless he made a lot of trouble, and Burgandy would never do that.

Despite how unlikely his success seemed, his plan was to spy around and see if he could spot the missing weapons. Drive his Reich-issued, gleaming black SUV as far down the serviceable road as he could. Change out of his uniform and into civilian’s drably tan-colored pants and tank top. Sneak over enemy lines, low as a dog, and cross into the town of Callbey. Instead of conducting a sweep that moved forward, he was going to sweep backwards in his search. Alone, he wasn’t much of a butterfly net, but all it took for a little butterfly to get caught was for one of its spindly legs to get snagged in the cross-weaving.

God knew he wasn’t scared. Burgandy was never scared. And that, in the end, often proved to be a negative thing rather than a positive one. Where the fox stood now, up against a half-broken tree in the town center, the shadows of silvery green leaves crisscrossing his face, hands behind his back, cigarette in his mouth, quietly burning into brilliant amber ashes…he should have been scared.

At least a hundred- if not more –Liberation soldiers hustled and bustled around him.

A miniscule, tiny little wrong move…and they would all turn and shoot him through with bullets. If he was lucky, that is, and they didn’t want him for questioning.

In fact, it was miraculous none of the fools recognized him.

“Oh dear lordy,” he mulled, pulling his arms up and back into a stretch. His muscles almost sighed with relief. He then took out his cigarette, which was more than half gone, and let out a breath of noxious smoke. “What…a…day.”

Previously, he had made the necessary phone calls to both Jean-Claude Mareouge and Mitchen Walsh, his bestest of friends back at Camp Himmler. He now knew not only the children’s names, but their appearance, their psyche, and even what their voices sounded like, thanks to the miracle of modern technologies― these two had apparently been questioned a lot, even more so after each time they proved super-powered and incapable of dying. Most of those interrogations had been recorded on tape and later transferred to computer file.

But the girl was different in that she acted mute and spoke by method of pen and paper. She had only talked aloud to her keepers once in her entire life. To an interrogation official back in Germany. Three years ago.

It was two little sentences, in such a dark tone it chilled even Burgandy, who had heard this sort of stuff from others before, but at least her first-ever words had been saved: “I wish someone would reach in your mouth and rip out your tongue, just so you would never, ever speak to me about that again. I wish you’d die, just so no-one else will have to cry.”

The second he had heard it, the first word out of his mouth was: “Damn.”

He really-really-really did not want to know exactly what was asked of the child that would inspire her to say something as wicked as that. Jean-Claude didn’t tell him, either, claiming the only importance of the clip of the girl’s voice was for record-keeping.

A bird landed on a tree branch overhead, shaking it. Several dead leaves fluttered to the ground with diminutive whispered melodies.

“Excuse me, sir?” A woman in a brown khaki uniform called, her army-issued boots clunking heavily on the cement as she walked towards him, cement dusted a chalk white from the bomb’s ruin. “Can I help you with something? The canteen is right over there if you’re hungry,” she said, and pointed. Burgandy’s eyes followed, trailing over the church (false institute of religion), its humble clock tower (quite amazing that it was still in place), finally resting on the canteen (tiny tin can of death), which was not but a tin mill-house laid on its side. Inside, he could see multitudes of soldiers conversing at tables, by the yellow light of oil lamps.

“Thank you, but I’m fine.”

“Well, you look lost to me. Actually you’ve looked lost for quite some time. If you want, I could show you around.”

Her voice was sweet, despite having a tinge of redneck to it. Both her fur and her hair, tied at the nape of her neck, were blonde, and her eyes a sea blue.

Burgandy had never been attracted to anyone but himself. Blinking, tail swishing, he again pulled his cigarette from his mouth, blowing the resultant smoke right into the woman’s face. “Please go away. I’m not interested in you.”

Eyes gleaming, the woman spat: “I never said I wanted a date, you freak! $%@!# you!”

Smiling, proud of himself, Burgandy watched her stomp away. At least she had no idea he was a Nazi, or her reaction would have been even more violent.

Then his eyes caught something.

White fur. But a handful of yards away, lost in the crowd. A flash of luminous, snow-white fur. He stepped back, shielding his gaze from the rapidly setting sun, and turned his head to look more properly. It took a moment, but soon a feline soldier shifted to the side just enough to reveal one of the unusual children. Next to this child was the other.

“By golly, well there I have it!” he exclaimed giddily. Instantly, he reached in his jacket for his cell phone and called back to Camp for his report. He failed to realize that a force had been mobilized already, and that this job should be made much easier because of it.

"There is a Liberation refugee camp a few miles behind enemy lines.  According to what I've been told, Invasion Supervisor Burgandy has found something there that requires the full attention of the Fourth Reich."  Entaru looked out the window at the charred landscape.

"As you know, the Fourth Reich had built a set of superweapons that disappeared during the first stages of the invasion.  Apparently, Mr. Burgandy has found them and requires assistance in bringing them back.  The Fuehrer himself has issued a diversionary chemical airstrike when we get there."  Entaru turned back to Phil.  "You won't have to worry, your armor will keep out the gas, but there are two gasmasks in the back for Burgandy and me.  Upon seeing the signal, a smoke grenade that is also in the back, a bomber will drop 10 Hat-Bombs"

The Hat-Bomb was the nickname Entaru had given to a new kind of chemical bomb.  Upon impact with the ground, the Hat-Bomb would release a mercury based gas.  If inhaled, the victim would undergo rapid brain deterioration as it would cause a lightning fast form of dementia to take place.  The gas itself wasn't deadly, but anyone who wasn't prepared for it would never be back to fight again.  The nickname came from the buisness of hat-making.  Old fashioned hat-making often involved the use of mercury, causing many hatters to wind up in Asylums from severe cases of dementia (hence the Mad Hatter's name).

Entaru loved Hat-Bombs...and he had every reason to.  He invented them.

"In the confusion," He continued. "We are to grab the superweapons and head back to Camp Himmler.  The Liberation doesn't know that they have them yet so they'll think it was simply a random act of cruelty"

Soria's head was pounding now from her excessively beating heart. Humvees and squads were one thing, but tanks!? She just didn't have the utilities for that, much less the time to actually aim for its driver and soldiers. Her only explosives were HE (Highly Explosive) grenades, but these are not military grade, it'll barely put a smudge on a tank. Soria had no choice but to run behind the abandoned house. She heard the whirring of the turret and made a straight beeline for the hill from behind the house. Soria ran at full sprint, already hearing the explosion from the tank shooting the house. She couldn't look back, only sprint forward onto the hill. Soria slid down the otherside and took her civilian clothes and putting some sticks into them from the dead tree next to her. She placed her beret on it quickly and leaned it against the back of the tree, making it look like she was resting there, and peeked on the other side of the hill, but by the time she could peak, the tree was already blown by the tank. Ok, 6 seconds for them to reload. Soria took very careful aim. The viewing port for the drivers are 8 inches wide, but only 4 inches high, and to complicate things, the blind panels were up (actually protects viewing port from glare, but also keeps snipers from shooting the tank's drivers from a higher elevation) and she was much higher and about 400 meters away. She's shot from further, but never with this small of a time gap. In three seconds, she fired her first shot, the panel wouldn't come off. She reloaded and aimed lower, shooting before the turret turned to her position. The bullet hit the chassis and bounced into the view port. The tank started to veer off course. She couldn't tell if it hit the driver or not, but she ran straight for the tank, not wanting to find out. In a dead sprint, Soria closed the gab between her and the preoccupied tank. As quickly as she could, she jumped onto the rear of the tank, making her steps quiet, just as the tank started regaining its control. The turret whirred and aimed for where she had shot from and fired off a round.

Soria's heart raced still more, Dear god, I'm glad I made it. Any slower and.... She shook her head, not wanting to think of the what ifs right now. The tank continued to move closer to her last spot and she crept slowly on top of the turret. Soria removed one of her grenades and pulled the pin, counting to 7 before throwing it into the turret view port and jumping off to the side. Soon, there was a muffled explosion and the hatch flew open. Soria slowly approached the tank, Beretta drawn and poised. When the smoke cleared, she jumped up and pointed the gun into the cabin, while looking inside. The controls and all the circuits inside were destroyed, and the only thing left of its crew were their smeared entrails all over the walls. Soria let out a sigh of relief and ran quickly back to the humvees. Sure enough there was still one left, but stopped short as she noticed 2 soldiers standing next to it. They didn't seem to notice Soria in the distance, they were busy complaining about something, probably about the tank taking their chance for a promotion. Soria ejected the clip from her rifle and checked it. One inside the clip and one in the chamber. She reinserted the clip and took aim. She shot the two men in the necks and ejected her clip, replacing it with one of her three remaining ones and took the humvee. Before peeling off, she searched the men's bodies and took their grenades and kabars. It's time to get back home.

"Tell me the rank and name of the Nazi that gave you this file, and i might not slit your throat...."
"It was just a portait of my ex, I swear I didn't know what wa-" the 'cilivilian' was grabbed by the head and bashed into a nearby granite counter, not hard enough to kill, but was very painful.
"Okay, then who gave this to you... since you didn't know what was written on the back"
"Uh, I can't tell you... they'll kill me!"
"What makes you think I won't?!" Captain Yurin shoved the combat knife into the womans shoulder, then pulled it roughly back out.
"Tell me who gave it to you before I tear out your biceps and thigh muscles!" the woman, who had a wolf-like appearance, was openly breaking down to the pain.
"A Soldier, he said if I gave this photo to some officer, they would spare me from the bombs of...." the rest of her words were lost to sobbing and became unintelligible. To him, she was as good as dead, so he just made a mental note of her last understandable confession, then flipped the photo around and read the chicken-scratch.

Yurin cursed under his breath before taking the photo and putting it in one of his pockets so he could find a place to burn it. "So the spies already have a summary of the plans... well, just gotta keep more from coming in." he said to himself as he went back out and returned to hunting lone Nazis as the cries of the woman echoed in the forest.

Cpt.Jonnas A.Romero Shepard(Active Liberation/Minor Injury)
Luck. It was what decided who survived wars and who where the cannon fodder ever sense the invention of long range weaponry. Everyone bled the same way, regardless of traits, race or protections... at least 50,000 people used to live here... if not more, killed in one of the most extreme cases of dramatic irony known to history... North America, the first user of the atomic bomb, fell victim it is own devices.

Jonnas Shepard was Stationed here Before the bomb hit, fresh off an operation... then the sirens flared off, signaling an air strike, and that turned into getting people to the shelters... mixed reactions filled the streets, from genuine panic to people thinking its another drill. They say the path of the righteous isn't an easy one... a civilian, hiding inside a bank vault with racial bias proved that quote right. as soon as he finally got the civilian to submit, a giant flash of light came the nearby vault door, brighter then any natural source could of been... it wasn't an air strike. it was a tactical nuke. and him and the civilian both where going to eat it. the resulting shock wave sent the resulting buildings down, including the one they both where in...

They say your life flashes right before your eyes before you die. that was still debatable... but it certainly meant something if that was true, for he didn't see that light. instead, he got thrashed around, and blacked out.
Who knows how much longer later, he woke up, to the present time, feeling something in his left shoulder... he could still move it thankfully, but it hurt like hell. for good reason too, it was a giant wooden pole most likely from the furniture that came apart... That civilian was more then likely to be cooked, as he was still pretty hot himself... the roof looked pretty thin, that was never a good sign... he'd heard rumors that the hiroshima bombing, some people survived by hiding in reinforced buildings... and that was way back then. he pulled the wooden spike out, as the warm feeling from his arm increased...most then likely blood. he could deal with that in a minute... the air was certainly was much more thick, and much warmer. maybe he had some decent intelligence hiding in a bank, that civvy. blocked out most of the heat and the shock. finding... what was left of a counter, he removed his arm from the damaged bloody sleeve, and checked out his shoulder... got nailed good, but doesnt seem to have anything broken... pulling out some first aid, he used some basic disinfectant, then some bandages and gave himself a shot of morphine so it wouldnt be so bothersome... he'd have to remember to write an M on his forehead later on, to let allies know he's got some morphine running though him. His weapons, more then likely damaged, still where on him... he could still use the MP5 and the USP.45 most likely, they didnt have THAT much kick now, and he was a righty.

Exiting the vault, the temperature increased almost immediately... the sounds of gunfire and explosions outsides ringed as they now became audio able... he limped for the minute, learning to walk again for a minute, and sighed... Luck had chosen who surived and who died... and (Un)fortunately for him, he lived. and living, he still had a job to do. No rest for the wicked after all.

Overhead, the sky grew rapidly grey. In not much time at all, the previously luminous sky was smothered. The clouds weren’t so much full of rain- in fact, a storm seemed impossible -than they were simply lazy and drawn out. A blanket of depression. Annoyed at the dust kicking up around him, Burgandy rubbed the stuff off his muzzle with the back of his hand. They weren’t supposed to have ran, though what they were trying to do was extremely obvious. Lead him away from the refugee soldiers who lived here. He equated this error to a misjudgment on his part. They, for some eccentric reason he didn’t understand, had recognized the fox, abandoning their former Liberation caregivers, mumbling something subtly, and running at breakneck speeds across and away from the town center, heading southwest into the city.

Naturally, their running jeopardized what Entaru wanted to do. But it was alright. Burgandy had a tracking device on him. So long as he kept up with them, then so would the entire Fourth Reich keep up with them.

Bothersome itchy dust gone, he moved onward. The stolen gun shook in his hands. He did not know exactly what would pop out at him, and certainly the Reich supervisor was an artist, not a fighter. The suburban street was desolate, but desolation had become such a common thing after the bomb it was easy to overlook. Back behind the row of townhouses, elm trees, most half-destroyed, others charred, lying on their side, sang as a newly powerful wind tugged at their branches, their leaves.

“Hey, you two,” Burgandy called, side-stepping a damaged chunk of asphalt road, where water from a broken, exposed pipeline spewed and streamed. He got up on the sidewalk. “It isn’t very nice to run from someone who just wants to meet you.”

He scanned the houses on this side, the houses on the other. He even strained his eyes trying to distinguish the movements in the forest from one another. Nothing. But they couldn’t have just disappeared. Could they? After all, he’d only lost sight of them for a few seconds. Impossible. Ridiculous. They must have been but a small distance ahead, cleverly hiding.

Then a door slammed across the street, so loudly the echoes reverberated off of Burgandy’s skull. Crying out, he spun to face the noise. Gun at ready. But there was no assailant. No super-child suddenly turned psycho. Just an empty street.

Maybe it was just the wind that shut it.

Maybe not. He was going to go check anyway.

“Ready or not, here I come.”

****

Moon laughed, the first laughed she had mouthed in a long time. She turned to face Atreyu. That was awesome, she thought.

“Thank you. I try my best. It’s pretty much the only thing they don’t know about me. My little secret.” The boy stretched just like a proud wildcat, pushing his hands forward, the muscles in his back rippling, tail coiling. He had succeeded in slamming a door across the street using a telekinetic connection in his mind¾ tempting Burgandy away from their position. The two of them recognized him immediately as a major war leader for the Reich. Moon was mute, not deaf. She hadn’t found it that difficult to eavesdrop on her captors ‘back in the day,’ when they were kept in Germany. And Atreyu had been devilishly good at sneaking around inside the lab. They’d seen and heard their fair share of facts.

What now? We can’t stay. They know we’re here. It’ll be dark soon. But…we also can’t just…

“Just what?” Atreyu came over to her side, and plopped down by her on the old couch, still keeping an eye on the window, in case Burgandy decided to turn back. It wasn’t much of a hiding spot, this house. A quarter of the roof had been ripped back, revealing a hazy sky. Water leaked from an upstairs bathroom, pouring over the edge of the stair steps and pooling in the living room. An old, shattered Lightscreen television that was amazingly still in service played black-and-white movie, probably a hundred or so years old, with soothing jazz music. Dust was everywhere. Both the normal kind and the bomb’s resultant. Wind swooned through the eaves.

We can’t just leave either, Moon thought. This might be serious. Maybe he wasn’t looking for us. Maybe we were just a bonus of something else. The people here could be in danger. I’m not going to let another person get hurt just because we decided to take off again, okay?

“But what could we possibly do about it? Get ourselves captured? Get even more people hurt because we heroically decided to step in the Reich’s way? Invincibility and telekinesis can’t do everything, heck, my power only works on little things.”

I know, I know. God. But, I…I don’t think  I can…go…like this… Sobs welled in the girl’s throat.

“Shush.” Atreyu took her and pulled her close to him, holding the back of her head, protectively, as his little sister. “It’s okay. All we need to do is wait for him to move on, then we can backtrack and find a way out of here. “

Moon’s white fur was still as soft as tufts of silk, luxurious almost, her tail being the softest of all. If she was an animal rather than a person, he imagined fur collectors would be all over her, in search of turning her into a fur coat to sell for thousands. Luckily, she knew how to walk upright on two legs. Even after being shot in the back of the head numerous times, even after being poisoned by an unholy amount of arsenic, shoved inside an incinerator and then having to crawl back out hours later, even after all the medication, the needles, and the beatings, she was still beautiful.

And she could still feel pain. She still bled. As did he.

Invincibility wasn’t a gift, it was a curse. It gave them the ability to survive any attack, regenerate any body part, overcome any toxin or poison.

But being shot in the head hurt just as much as you’d imagine. Regenerating an arm had proved an incredibly painful process the first time the Reich scientists had attempted it, leaving Moon screaming and begging to be put to sleep, and Atreyu in tears- before, he had never cried. Neither even wanted to think about when, during the final round of the “executions,” the Reich had put every effort they could into trying to kill them, ending with a direct ticket to the incinerator. Only to be proven wrong. That, yes, there were indeed subjects who had came out successful...in the form of two charred children pushing the metal door of the burn-house open and stumbling back into the open. Alive.

With the realization that death could not come to them, a newfound fascination for the children grew in the Reich. They were still experimented on, tortured even, but with a new, special, “valuable” label.

Atreyu knew this all very well. Had it memorized. It had been his world since he was born.

And he would rather succumb to a lifetime of false deaths than see Moon be sent back with them.

Entaru looked down at his watch that had suddenly started beeping.  "What the?...He's moving.  Blast!  What did that fool do?  Turn left Corporal, we'll drop off our payload and then go after him.  No sense in letting good chemicals go to waste."  Entaru turned in his seat, grabbing the grenade and gasmask from the back seat.  He placed the gasmask over his face and rolled down the window.

"Feel free to drive as fast as possible, I would prefer not to be shot by refugees when I huck this thing out the window." Entaru could see the camp in the distance now.

Nodding back at the Colonl, Phil made a sharp turn and floored it. He didn't care who saw, he was doing over 90, smashing cars aside and people jumping aside in fear.

"That's right, scatter fools For I am DOOMRIDER!" He yelled, slipping back into his insane personality for a brief moment, then he quickly composed himself and just kept concentrating on steering.

Soria groaned as the Humvee ran out of gas under the hot, noon sun. She had stopped just on the outskirts of the Texas border. The bomb had devastated so much, she was lucky to have found another set of civi's to wear, but the gas stations were not as lucky as the clothing stores. Soria hopped out of the car and grabbed her new stolen duffel bag. She walked forward, not seeing anything civilized for miles. Soria checked her canteen, half a liter left. Best to ration it for as long as possible. She took one step after another, trudging along Texas's northern border, heading west. Hopefully, one of the border stations survived.......

Yurin was still looking for spies as a truck drove past rather fast, as well as a swastika on the driver's shoulder, or at least it didn't look like Liberation uniforms. He took out his Rail and made a shot for one of the tires, the sound of the impact like a fire-cracker hitting the pavement and going off at the same time. " 'If its not Liberation, its not friendly' " he said, quoting his own superior, the permanetly flat Captain Urion, a man and dragon whom only a nuke could kill...

However, the shot missed as he didn't realize how fast the vehicle was moving. "Dang, they're definatly in a hurry"

Hearing the shot, and seeing the snow fly out of the rear view mirror, the corporal leaned out of the window  and fired his USP at the offender.
All the shots were clean misses cause he was driving so fast, but he didn't care, he just firing till the gun went dry, then he leaned back to the seat, reloaded, and kept on driving, but with pistol in hand.

Entaru looked back as he heard the gunshots.  "Hmm, see why I wanted you to drive faster?"  Entaru primed the smoke grenade as the drove through the camp and tossed it out the window.

"There...mission objective completed...now lets see if we can't find Mr. Burgandy"  Entaru glanced down at his watch "Turn right Corporal...he's not too far away."

The sky went dark for a moment as a bomber flew overhead.  The towns sirens screamed in alarm as the bomber dropped its payload on the camp.  Men, women, and children all ran for their lives, imitating the siren with their screams.  The mercury gas spread like a swarm of locusts upon the people.  Already the symptoms were becoming apparent as the refugees' screams of fear were replaced by mad chattering and gromishing.  A woman fell to her knees as she began peeling off her own scalp with her fingernails.  A man collapsed to the ground as he began digging at the concrete sidewalk with a brown stain on his pants from soiling himself.  A little girl grabbed her upper lip with a set of pliers and began peeling her lips open until they looked like a deep red rose.

Entaru looked back at the town as it slowly descended into madness and smiled.  Lighting a cigarette and taking a deep breathe, he looked back at the Corporal.  "Turn left in 3 miles."

'Exiting' the bank was tough, having to escape by going up... facing the world was tougher, as the damage was extensive and could make any man dread his postion, The sounds of combat not helping. Granted, things didn't look like freshly nuked, which came to question how long he'd exactly been out... but the fact of how everything changed so rapidly. he wasn't going soft now, he wasn't fooling himself with that, but surviving a nuke gave you the right to take a moment and think, and whoever DID send the damn thing is just reveling in his 'tactical genius'. And apparently, he thought it would be funny to send another airstrike, as aircraft sounds flew nearby, and not the good kind. they, thankfully, didn't drop anything on him...but that would mean they where for a different sender... and he felt sorry for whoever was about to get that bomb.

It was about time Jonnas was not left in the dark anymore and at least get into contact with a higher ranked officer. he looked around for his radio, eventually finding it... but he happened to smash it up somehow, most likely during first impact. "Course the bloody thing is broken, nothing ever goes right in the bloody military!" Being alone and half British, he could get away with butchering a language (Which he wasn't.), and he needed some positive morale. being sure to have noted the frequencies needed, he threw it away, and would have to pick up a new one off of a dead solider. with a few rations going though him, and his entire canteen, he exited the 'safety' of the bank, armed with the MP5 he still had, screwing on his silencer at the muzzle, and started to make his way towards a rally point. hopefully, he wasn't out long enough that they abandoned the city.

The ride to camp Himmler was supposed to be long, but Howl's fate had other plans. As they drove on, a sudden explosion rocked everyone in the car as dust spewed from the ground; it was a tank, which shot some feet in front of the car. Howl's thoughts on the matter were a mixture of joy and fear, knowing that another round would be ejected from that tanks barrel, and would impale itself on the side of his car. With his captors occupied, he jumped out of the car and sprinted in the opposite direction. Before the lead officer of the unit could even make the slightest reaction to Howl's escape, another tank round flew into the APC next to him, causing it to be desimated. A shard of shrapnel embedded itself inside the officer's arm, temporarily disabling his trail of thought.

After running into a building far away from the convoy, he began moving back into the direction of the Liberation's base. He followed signs of propaganda that encouraged the USA's citizens to go up in arms against it's enemies, and it literally pointed out the position of the closest outpost. He found it funny, these little things that he overlooked everyday were now guiding him along a ravaged city. Walking down the streets, alone, Howl found comfort in all the small memories that popped up in his mind.

For Burgandy, one thing was sure: he wanted out. Sooner the better. Out of this job. Out of this town. Maybe out of the country. Buy a nice condo in Germany. Sip burgundy wine pool-side. America was seriously starting to creep the guy out. And its never a good sign when a Nazi gets creeped out. Around him, the dust had started to kick up again, and the sky above turned darker than before, as though dipped in a bucket of water.

On his belt, Burgandy’s tracker started to beep with a mechanical sort of anger.

“I know, I know, I know,” he growled hoarsely, coughing. “I’m not supposed to be moving. But do you want me to do this or not?”

He stepped off of the porch and into the remains of a primly cut lawn.

There had been nothing in the house. Nada. Zip.

Sneaky little buggers. Losing him so easily. Sheesh.

His fur had long since gone on end and goosebumps had long since rose up in multitudes across his arms. Summer. Pah. This was no kind of summer he had ever heard of. It wasn’t even vaguely warm out here, let alone would the sun shine when he wanted it to. Instead, night was falling in the form of grey skies and cold wind. Over into the deeper part of the town, he could see the firefly-like lights of oil lamps come into focus as the Liberation refugees began to prepare for their night…whatever peaceful part was left of it.

“Entaru, you’d better get over here. Someone had better get over here. I think I’m at a loss…”

A bought of dirt and sand and unidentifiable grains of stuff flew up into his face and the fox sputtered, wildly wiping at his eyes, his nose, his ears, while he angrily hobbled over to a broken down telephone pole and leaned up against it, resting his rifle against his leg. Yes. Definitely time to pursue a less bothersome career. He would try for it this time around, this once, but not again. After tonight, easy, non-dusty jobs were going to be Burgandy’s lazy route of choice. Screw the Headmaster if he said otherwise. Not like Burgandy was authentic. He was just a by-product of the invasion effort. And no-one got away with telling this sly fox what to do and what not to do. Nuh-uh.

He shifted his weight to his right leg, trying vainly to get a last bit of relaxation before Entaru’s signal went off and the night really got into high gear.

___________________________________

“Okay, he’s looking the other way. Come on. You remember what I told you to do, right?”

Taking her best friend’s hand and trailing behind him out the front door and down the porch steps, Moon nodded sullenly. They wanted to go out the back door, but it had proved inaccessible. I’m gonna wait for you near the canal. Then I’m supposed to keep out of sight in the trees until you call me. And if anything happens, then I’m supposed to call for you first. She let out a breath. You really think you’re gonna find help out there?

“Of course,” the wild-cat whispered. “If these people don’t want any trouble, then they’d better listen to me.”

They bee-lined across the lawn and around the back of the house, keeping a wary eye on Burgandy ―who was leaning tiredly up against a telephone pole across the street― as they went. He never turned.

All in all, their plan was to seek out not only assistance among the khaki-wearing people of this town, but to warn them just how big of a threat Burgandy’s presence was to the peace here. Now that he had been led away from the biggest gathering of those people, the chance of any major destruction or death was diminished. Or so the children mistakenly thought.

 “You be good now, sissy, I’ll call you the second I need you,” Atreyu whispered, calling Moon by her pet name, and released her hand. They stood near the edge of the distraught forest, stained weeds whipping at their legs, dust swirling in the air. A sad sight to behold, this back yard looked as though it was once a perfect gathering place for families and children, a rusty swing set tucked in the corner, charred toys scattered randomly, barbeque on its side. Back behind the wrecked storage shed and wood fence, deeply green timothy grass swayed.

Like hell I’d be anything but good, she lied.

Ears flattened back against their heads in brief, compassionate submission to each other, the two of them exchanged a hug. Atreyu smiled half-way, then turned to leave, to sneak back towards the town.

Moon waited until she could no longer see his back ―and therefore he no longer see her― before she made her move.

‘Brother’ didn’t know what he was thinking, making her hide here. She wanted to do something brave too…she wanted to prove herself. Inside the house, Moon had spotted an iron fire-prod. It seemed like the perfect thing to hit Nazis with. She went back and grabbed it.

___________________________________

An tiny little crack suddenly echoed the air around Burgandy, just barely enough to perk his ears. He turned and looked back towards the town. Near the far end, a plume of silver smoke rose. Entaru’s grenade. “Well, finally.” Within moments, the early night sky was dotted by the black underbellies of bombers, accompanied by the mournful cry of the air strike alarms and the distant, violent screams of unexpected pandemonium. The Hat-bombs were silent but deadly. Likely he would smell faint whiffs of mercury soon, even from this distance. “Whoo-hoo!” the fox exclaimed, clapping his hands together, his brown eyes alighting with glorious wonder. “Bite, bite, bite. Could have been just a bit less dramatic, but I’m no judge, am I?” he said to himself.

 Then he smiled, raised an arm up to his muzzle to block out any stray fumes until his gas mask became available, and waited rather apprehensively for the others to show.

___________________________________

Moon coiled her hands nervously around the iron prod. It was rusty and cold, coiled into a mean spike on the end. She didn’t really plan on using it to kill Burgandy. There was no way she could so much as picture herself hacking the thing into somebody’s skull, even be that person an enemy. But she could still swing, still get a hit at his legs, his back, incapacitating him. And then, the moment she managed an attack, happiness would overcome her, for the girl would have finally proved herself.

She yanked on the prod, and it slipped out of the rack by the fireplace easily.

There we go. I’ll show Rey now.

But something gave her pause. A sound. A outlying roar. A squeal.

She slinked up to the window and peered outside. The darkness played tricks across her white fur as she went.

Smoke. Trailing above the town in little tendrils.

…Exactly what they didn’t want to happen, what they were trying to prevent…had happened.

Guess the fastest rabbit gets to the carrot after all. What if Atreyu was still out there somewhere? And what if he got caught in the coming air strike? Was he still trying to tell these folks to get out? Better to ask sooner than later.

Chills spreading over the girl like tickles to her nerves, she called to him: Rey? You still okay?

I’m fine…I think.

What do you mean ‘I think?’ What’s going on out there? Where are you?

And there, standing under a shattered window, holding a oxidized fire-prod, breathing heavily from fear and exhaustion, was where Moon sucked in her first lungful of condensed mercury.

Yurin dropped his Rail at the sight of his failure, and the results of it. He missed one freaking tire... and a town tears itself apart from insanity. "That can't be the bomb... they seriously expect to get away with this?!" He screamed in frustration before getting his rifle and heading around, upwind of the town.

This will be the last time he lets that shot miss, or hes going to hunt the Nazi driving it and throw him in the same mess he started.

Entaru saw Burgandy in the distance and realized just how fast they were moving.

"STOP!"

The vehicle screeched to a halt ((I figured you were probably gonna slam the brakes)) just to the side of Burgandy, nearly tossing Entaru and Philip out the windshield.  Luckily they had worn their seatbelts and were practically unharmed.

Quickly getting out of the vehicle, Entaru threw Burgandy a gas mask.  "You may want to put this on.  One whiff of that gas and you'll be back in the Asylum we pulled you out of."

Entaru looked back at the town, which was now enveloped in a silver fog that was rolling their way.  Pulling out a pen and paper pad, he began scrawling down notes of how the weather conditions sped up the gasses' dispersement.  The pen and paper then disappeared as fast as they were drawn and Entaru turned back to Burgandy.

"Right, now where are they?"

...Of course the Rally point was abandoned. Reaching the point, his fears where realized as he reached this abandoned outpost, with equipment, rubbish and whoever they left behind, scattered around as the only remaining things left. approaching the station, spent brass jackets laid all over the ground, suggesting a fight. upon closer inspection, they where mostly comprised of 5.41 NATO Rounds, suggesting automatic rifles... his guess was, they got attacked, took considerable casualty's and packed up shop whilst they still had the time. then, when the attackers came back for another round, they found the post, took their stuff and left...
inside the outpost however, was still a ham radio... you know, the ones that came before head sets and hand radios? it was damaged (of course.) but given some time, he might of been able to call for some form of extraction... no one was going to come for awhile, and the chances of that happening where VERY LOW so he should of been able to do that, as he clapped his hands together...
"Alright... lets get to work... change the frequency... move a few pieces around... this is Captain Jonnas Shepard, calling in from... what's they name this bloody place... Outpost Charley! Repeat, outpost Charley! requesting an extraction, the LZ is clear!" he then changed the settings and messing with a few of the parts, keeping the same frequency, and repeated the same message again... "This is Captain Jonnas Shepard, Calling at outpost Charley, repeat, outpost Charley! requesting an extraction ASAP, the LZ is clear!..."

Soria was woken by a faint radio static and someone yelling. She got up out of the bed inside the outpost and looked outside the window. There, standing in the middle of the debris, was a lone soldier. She eyed him carefully and waited. Eventually, the sound of a chopper could be heard in the distance. Dammit! So that's what he was doing. He must know I'm here. Soria reached over to her bag and pulled out her AWP. She watched though her scope as the chopper came closer and closer. Without a second thought, she pulled the trigger and hit the main turbine, severing it from the rest of the chopper, causing it to plummet forward towards Jonnas' postition.

The good news was, he heard a chopper inbound... "phew... finally, something goes ri-" then the gunshot pang... which was a part of the bad news, along with the speaker being busted... oh, and the chopper was INBOUND. hearing it coming, he barreled out of the way, into some cover (reinforced sand bags.) and going prone, as for the second time, he was having an explosive dropped on him. he was going to need a flak jacket after all this... he pulled out some binoculars, towards where the gun sound was, as he took a look...bloody F***ing sniper. right in the outpost... of course there was... unprone or come out without a blind and he'd get a bullet between the eyes...thus what the flash bang was for. effective on humans... like a tactical nuke on animals due to heighten senses or whatever made that happen, he was human after all and that was his advantage. with a pull of the pin, he threw it up behind his cover, right into the window. And sense it worked when it hit something...well... as soon as it would get up there, it would go pang. right smack into this snipers eyes and ears. with that, he quickly pulled out his silenced side arm and knife, and gunned it into the building and right up stairs... and if the sniper was still blind, a perfect target for interrogation with that knife right at its neck. otherwise, a few bullets would solve the problem easily...

Soria barely noticed the flash coming up as it hit her nose. Oh ********! A grenade! She quickly grabbed her duffel jumped backwards, out the back window, strapping her rifle over her shoulder as she rolled, drawing her 98 Beretta. From the corner of her eye, Soria watched as the soldier ran for the outpost house, firing. Soria grabbed a smoke and a flash, pulling both the pins as she made her way behind an old outhouse. She tossed the smoke over a few yards away and then threw the flash into the house as the soldier ran in. Another espionage agent, huh? Well, let's see who's better in our line of work, then.

He made it upstairs as he saw something fly right on in... he covered his head, not even having time to say anything, as its own pang sound rung from its metal casing... as he wasn't in direct contact with it, it didn't make him combat ineffective for 5 seconds or more like advertised... but it sure made things ring for a minute with a disrupted ear drum... gave him a clear second to think.
"Taste of my own medicine... is that what this was? Only people who use flash bangs are scumbags like me, or infantry doing house clearing... and there are obviously no G.I's here..." When the ringing ended, he popped a look over the window really quick... the smoke grenade would be past its 'prime' by now, but just enough evidence to show where the sniper went... there was no way he was going to jump out of a two story building and be fine! had to give person credit... course, that means he had a second to see if any left over equpiment was present...
Course, there wasnt anything useable, so the last thing to do was to move back up on the sniper, fight on his terms... he only had 3 flash bangs, his pistol (USP.45 Tactical Silenced), his SMG (MP5 Silenced) And a Knife. It was morning and with no where to hide, his black/gray damaged stealth suit with a tint of his own red, had no place here... so how do you deal with the situation?
It was just a simple outhouse. so there wasn't going to be anything fancy. if he had a high penetrating weapon or full metal jacketed bullets, he could just shoot though the outhouse (Like he could fire something like that, but it was just wood.) but he didn't have that. so... being clever was option two. he grabbed the spent flash bang, and stuffed it full of random things, specifically ones that, when they hit metal, make a nice tinging sound, making it sound like a frag grenade... he then threw it downstairs, working the grenade over though the strength of his right arm... just barely. "Frag Out!"
As 'stupid' as this seemed, they'd hear the ringing on the grenade, and they'd most likely (if they where not completely stupid) want to get out of the way of the 'fragmentation', thus step two of the plan, throw a flash bang the other way after a second. this throw wouldnt be as hard, due to the fact that he was also making good on the distraction and running forward... after a second, flash bang, pang and hopefully right as they ran straight into it. he readied up his pistol and his knife again, just about to turn the corner...

"That is...." Burgandy paused. "That is....an excellent question! You know, umm, I was just about to keep looking when you guys pulled up, I assure you," he lied shakily, almost through his teeth. "Because they kind of gave me the slip, but oh, not for long..." Burgandy quickly noticed his story was falling apart, though he couldn't just outright admit being lazy to Lt. Colonel Entaru. Entaru did not have the power to demote him...but he did have the power to seriously damage his life and job in other ways. "Now what say we...get moving on this job, eh?" Hurriedly slipping on the gasmask and tightening the straps, Burgandy gave a strangely nervous smile.

Moon was lost in la-la land before the armored car pulled up outside. Her own, personal, so very eccentric, kind of la-la land. Her telepathic connection to Atreyu had been lost. And she didn't even notice. Through her body coursed mercury, and her nose and mouth were filled with a sickly sweet smell and taste similar to an exotic type of fruit. When she at last used her eyes for their purpose instead of for imagining she had x-ray vision, and got a good look at the new Reich arrivals across the street, the first unfortunate, off-kiltered thing to cross through her mind was: *gasp!* What great timing...look at this! One...and two...TWO of them! I think these people would really like to meet you, Mr. Fire Poker. Or...*hiccup*..should I say, their brains would like to meet you!!!!

The hiccups had came without much warning and were nothing more than an annoyance. Lovingly, she ran her shaking hands over the iron weapon, and wondered if scattering brains would resemble cotton candy....no, no, nooo...*hiccup* brains are too cushy for that.

She squealed with positivley adorable giggles when the fire prod became animate and talked to her: BAM BAM BAM!!!! Just run up and hit the fools! BAM BAM BAM!!!!

Oh *hiccup*, you aren’t being very nice Mr. Fire Poker…

Then she grew woozy, light-headed, and lost both her balance and her grip. The rusty fire prod slipped from between her tiny fingers, and squealch-like sound rose up to Moon’s perked ears as it impaled her foot. It wasn’t much of an injury, in fact, it was barely even a cut…but Moon didn’t see it that way:

“OOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWoooooWWWWWWWWWoooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!”

Her cry was so unholy and loud that even someone living a few blocks down would have heard it, not to mention those people currently only a block of cement concrete and asphalt away. She had never been so loud in her life. An embarrassing new personal record to never tell Atreyu about.

You betrayed me, Mr. Fire Poker. You betrayed meeee….

Moon backpedaled in the hopes of relieving her foot without actually using her hands, and soon tumbled over onto her back when she tripped over an upturned coffee table.

Magical stuff, that mercury.

Soria heard the pop, but the frag sounds didn't sound quite right. She popped her head up and found the soldier popping his head up with his pistol. She quickly pulled out her AWP and shot towards him, not taking the time to aim. The shot punctured the wall, but she missed him. However, it should give her enough leeway to get out without getting hit. Soria threw her rifle and duffel into the outhouse and ran for the soldier, 98 Beretta in one hand and Kabar in the other. She kept fire on the window where he was at and replaced the clip, cocking the gun as she dove into the first floor window.

Specialist Shiro Chann.
Outside the Helicopter.

"You sure the Radio on that thing doesn't work?" Shiro Chann shouted at the pilot over the din of Helicopter blades.
~"Yeah, no transmisions in or out."
"So if I am stuck here, there is no one I can call except the Ghostbusters, right?"
The pilot grimaced and started the liftoff sequence.
~"Just don't die and report to see if Jonas is K.I.A! Find any civilians if you can!"
The Helicopter lifted off and flew back towards base.
Shiro turned and walked around the deserted area. He moved over into a blown out building.
"Well, I'll do a surveillance from here. Maybe there are some life forms here."
He chuckled.
"Knowing Jonas, not even a Nuke could take him out. I just hope I find him before someone else finds me."
He laughed.
"Oh thats right... I am a specialist for a REASON! Stealth and all that... hah"
He started climbing into the building.

Getting a big whack on the head as she crashed to the floor had done wonders for Moon's mind, speeding up the process in her superhuman body that dispelled illness in all its forms, and rapidly she was not as demented, though she still had the basic functioning capacity of someone who was intoxicated far beyond the legal limit. She glanced about, tipsy, noticing her arm was not her own anymore...

...Not really seeing what she was doing, not really seeing whom it was who had her arm, nor having any inkling as to what was going on, legs swaying as though she was aboard on a ship in a storm, she used her free hand to weakly start to pull at her wrist and whatever it was that held it, trying to gain leverage.

Shiro was looking through his scope at... something smoking off in the distance. Farther towards an outpost than the outskirts from where he was landed. SOMETHING had crashed there. His mission had been sent out early and not rushed. The commander had put him with a rookie crew who almost crashed twice, and had to stop to refuel at least 3 times. The last hour was the worst. The pilot got lost in the area, and circled around the same place over and over again. Plus the radio was shot. No doubt to the gunner who had spilled a soda or something on it. Seemed they didn't care about the struggle with the Fourth.
"Well, at least I am away from those number tens. Lets go find out what that smoke is about. I'd say... twenty minutes to traverse quickly... eh... what's the hurry... not like anyone is expecting me."
He kicked a stone and it hit the wall with a thunk. Shiro walked down the stairs, whistling an old New Orleans tune under his breath.

Oh....that tail.........would you look at that?

Unwillingly, Moon stopped trying to free her hand and lurched forward, grabbing ahold of the first thing she came across, barely even seeing it, not knowing who it was aside from a glimpse of a gas mask....Entaru's very poofy tail. She held it tightly in a hug.

Stop it!

Stop what?

Stop talking to me, whoever you are...I know I've been drugged, okay? You are a figment of my imagination. You can't tell me what to do.

Cheeka, you cleared up minutes ago. It's me.

And who might "me" be? Moon closed her eyes. Everything around her was swimming. She buryed her nose in his tail.

Don't you remember me, Moon? I know it's been ages, but yeesh. Talk about clueless. Remember...three years ago? The first- and only, god forbid -time you talked to them?

Soria rolled as she jumped into the first floor window and backed up against a dead body. She grabbed the five-seven laying next to the man and fired off the last 3 shots into the ceiling, trying to guess where the other guy was and threw the gun away, drawing her 98 again. Soria slowly got up and cautiously looked around, carefully aiming her 98 with two hands and holding her kabar upside down between her left hand and the 98, in case she had to go CQC. Knowing her opponent as another espionage agent, he'll probably be doing the same. Each step she took, she made it as quiet as possible and waited for movement.

He got about half way until the enemy flew right on past him... for one thing, it was a she... eastern, maybe Asian, but he couldn't tell with such a quick glance... her equipment set was much like his, or from what it looked like. though, she was made for sniper missions (obvious by the sniper rifle she fired at the chopper!), he was Black Op's and was built for close combat... and it was time to end game. under her cover of her rushed actions, he went for a different window as he swapped out his pistol for his MP5, replacing the knife with a Primed Flash bang, controlling his breathing (To aim better.) and hiding... he couldn't take advantage of her gun going click, or throwing it away, but he definitely had a side she wasn't looking at... He wasnt stupid enough to have the idea to go up and have a knife fight or such. Snipers where trained to use their EARS very well, and he'd make noise coming though the window and on the wood so... as soon as things went quiet, He popped right on out, MP5 aimed down the sights with his flash bang held, using his closed palm for holding it steady (MP5's have very little kick.) on a full automatic. if she tried ANYTHING at all, she'd get shot with enough lead to drop her... not to forget he held a live flash bang he could easily throw at a moments notice... and that he was far enough she couldn't just rush him without eating his bullets. "Freeze! Hands up, and drop the weapons, or your going to die blind sighted!"
He definitely got detailing now... a black cat. the signal of unlucky... fitting she was a sniper. "...Whats the Constellation doing here...?...Did they drop that nuke...?!?...her face seems very familiar..."

Shiro was noncholantly strolling down the busted corridors and blown out walls of a school, when he heard the gunfire in the direction he was moving. He ran the statistics through his head.
He scanned the area ahead of him, not quite fully soldier mode, but cautious. He noted a large chuch belltower that was standing defiantly in the wreckage. He scurried over and went up the blown apart steps into the tower.
"Now where did that fire come from..." He said to himself as he pulled out his Dragonov. He spotted a turkey, walking down the street, but other than tha... wait.
"So that is what all that smoke was coming from. A Liberation Helicopter got downed. Gunship... means someone else is here. Jonas maybe?" He got up out of the crouch.
"Well, lets go find out if anyone survived the crash. Seems like there is more heat here, so I gotta be cautious." Shiro didn't mean to monologue to himself, but it was a way to release some stress. He decided to wait there, seeing that he had a good position, and set up shop.
Night was coming on. At least he would be safe for the moment.

Soria continued her quiet surveillance. Damn this guy is a pain. Could it be...? She shook the thought out of her mind when she heard a soft click of a gun. Soria's senses came to high alert and she slowly crept towards the window she came in, though she couldn't tell where he was or where the click was. She gripped the knife between her right fingers and gun and reached for her HE grenade with her left. Soria bit off the pin slowly and held the grenade tight, keeping the release from making a sound and dropped the pin out the window. She lowered the grenade to the window and slowly let the release come off, landing into the sand. She counted the 3 in her head (5 count grenades) and tossed it straight up in front of the window she saw him in and rolled backwards, under one of the desks and waited for the bang.

*BANG!*
Shiro looked around, seeing the flash of an HE grenade nearby. It was dark, but not too dark. He rustled around in his satchel for his Thermal Scope.
Attaching it to the Dragonov, he saw it. Two little splotches of light, and the remnants of a big splotch.
*That is where that grenade came from.*
Shiro saw that he didn't have any sort of shot, so he decided to investigate.
He ran down the steps and moved toward the commotion.

Yurin recognized the jeep from earlier, and took aim again, knowing he was going to hit the vehicle from this range and it was already stationary. He decided to make the minor damage noticeable, and the major damage somewhat hidden. He aimed his Rail at an angle that would go through the windows, and then into the hood and possibly some permanent engine damage. He took the shot, and it fired true until it got into the hood, and the rather loud noise signified that it didn't punch through the front. Yurin counted to ten in his thoughts, and fired again, only to hear the beep of malfunction. He cursed his Rail before getting out of sight...

Phil jumped at the sound of shots, surprised that he heard them at all.

"Shouldnt everyone in town have gone crazy by now with your (censored) up bombs...? Whatever I'm gonna kill it" Phil said, climbing out of the jeep and slamming the door shut. He didnt really care about the jeep or Entaru, now it was all about the hunt. Taking out his XM-8, Phil followed where he heard the sound, and began to fire a 3 round burst in that direction. Then he began a full dead on sprint. He could see the sniper slunking away.

"Oh no you don't you little coward... come and fight like a man!" he thought as he opened fire on the running sniper.

Phil broke into a sprint, using his armored forearm to protect his face as the low caliber SMG rounds merely pinged off his armor.

Yurin saw the soldier make a run behind the tree, and took out his Rail, making a guess as to how the soldier was positioned, and fired. The bullet tore through the entire tree, but only missed the head by a few inches, and the debris flying with the bullet showed the punch behind the bullet. He held the smg in one hand and the Rail in the other, ready to drop one and use the other depending on how the situation turns out. Why do I never bring grenades with me?!

Tada. Brilliant deduction, Mondenkind. I am Luna, back from the graves of your soul.

Just tell me what's happening here and what you want.

...I'll tell you what's happening here. You're screwed, that's what...doomed really. Moon's connection to Luna was so strong, she could practically feel the mind-haunt smile. And I don't want anything but to be with my bestest-friend-ever.

As if carried much too far by the wind, the faint but present, unintelligible but melodic sound of a male voice floated to Moon's ears through the darkness and she felt something touch her head, a hand.

Who is that? Moon jerked back from her non-identified tail-hug and opened her eyes. This time, her world came into view clearly. The fox, whose fur was as snow white as her own. His dark uniform. The swastika...And the handcuffs that joined her wrist to his.

Entaru Korin. 'The one they call Needles.' Luna quoted with a sarcastically ominous tone. If I remember correctly, you have a justified phobia of anything hospital-like. Guess that makes him your worst nightmare...walking. Let's hope he stays nice like he is now.

_____________________________

Burgandy had been wating outside the door for Entaru when he turned around, and quickly noticed that the door to the armored Jeep was wide open, and Phil was nowhere to be seen. The fox was hesitant about speaking at all, Entaru had seemed quite angry but a few minutes earlier....But this seemed rather urgent. He walked into the living room, taking stock that the girl was in custody and no-one was harmed. Then, with his ears back abjectly, he said: "Umm...Sir, I think Phil ran off somewhere...Maybe we should go and see where he went?"

_____________________________

Atreyu wrapped his arms around his knees and stared out the window of the Humvee as it sped through the dusty streets, keeping his eyes peeled for a flash of white fur that would alert him to Moon's prescence. "When are we going back?" The boy was so nervous, he could feel his skin crawling with invisible ants.

After retracing his steps back to the town center, he had found the pair from earlier, the canine and the feline (they seemed like the most trustworthy and accessible to him), and learned that their names were Chance and Maria. He had warned them about the possibility of an attack via Reich, moments before it was too late, then had begged them for a ride, strategically revealing only what needed to be revealed about his situation. They had hunted down a Humvee, shirts off and pressed to their mouths to keep out the noxious fumes of mercury- or what could be kept out by that megar method -then climbed aboard without hesitation as everything went to Hell around them. Gas masks had been in ready supply in the back of the vehicle, even for the boy, as they didn't know he was immune.

It had been too late to call a full evacuation.

"That boy has good senses, finding us again like that," Chance commented. He looked at Atreyu through the rear-view mirror as he drove. He almost didn't answer him, but that would be too creul. "We're not going back. It's a jungle back there. You wanted us to get you out, so we got you out."

Jumping at this news, Atreyu cried: "Excuse me?"

"Son, it is much too dangerous to go back into that town," Maria growled sternly. "For our own safety, we must leave."

"You cheaters! You lied to me! You can't just leave Moon back there! You don't understand, this is-"

"Moon? I thought her name was Lucy..."

"It is! I mean, what I mean is-"

"Listen," Maria said. "We'll go back for her as soon as we can. In an hour if we're lucky. But right now we have to get to a safe zone, alert who we can. It's too dangerous for us, and it's certainly too dangerous for you to go looking around in that stuff."

"But-"

"No buts," Chance said as they sped around another desolate corner.

"But I know where I left her and everything! She should still be right there!"

"Great, then she'll be easy to find when we come back."

"No!" The two Liberation soldiers froze as the boy's voice rose to a shrill high of conviction. "If we just leave her back there, then she might be gone."

"What do you mean she'll be gone?" In the passenger seat, Maria turned, mentally trying to not get herself into this child's worried frenzy. "Are all the aliens returning to their mother ship or sometihng?"

"I mean they...the Reich...might take her back with them. If they find her."

Seeing as how he was covered in fur, no-one could tell once Chance's skin flushed red. He pressed down harder on the gas pedal, voice rising angrily: "Boy, what in the world are you talking about? I swear to the Gods above if you don't stop being creepy and start talking to us I will boot your jail-bait behind out onto the street!"

Phil flinched as the tree he was hiding behind... exploded. Splinters of wood rained on him from it being kicked up.

What little was left on the tree was jagged and torn... no way it'd be able to protect him any longer, with his body now fully exposed.

'Well Holy (censored) we got an experimental gun out here' Phil thought as he opened up a burst from his rifle then ran in a zig-zag at the sniper. Before another shot could be fired at him, Phil dove into a ditch hard. Mud caked his once spotless armor suit, and the SMG rounds didn't do much then prick the armor. That was a good sign, it could hold up against live ammunition.

Reaching for his radio.

"Colonel... this is Phil, engaging a sniper with a ....unique... weapon... could use some support... over!" He said, silently thanking luck for making the sniper miss his mark.

Entaru turned to Burgandy, still a bit angry but calm.  "Fine, but if we don't find him in 15 minutes then he's S.O.L.  This child and her counterpart are priority one and he's a clone.  If we find him, good.  If not, he has brothers."  He knew that Philip would only run off if there was a threat in the area.  That meant that there may be more than one, and Entaru wouldn't take the risk of losing the child just because a clone died.  Sure, they were expensive but she could turn the tide of the war.

Entaru turned back to Moon with a smile.  "I see the mercury is finally out of your system. Come along wenig Mond, we have a soldier to find.  Once we get back to camp, I'll see if I can find you some sweets...that is, if you behave.  Are you going to behave?"

Before the child could answer, his radio crackled to life.

~Colonel...this is Phil, engaging a sniper with a....unique...weapon...could use some support...over!~

Entaru spoke into his radio.  "Good timing Philip.  We're on our way now.  Over."

Entaru stood up and looked at Burgandy. "How good are you with heavy weapons, Mr. Burgandy?"  Entaru pointed towards the vehicle, which had a minigun mounted to its roof.

That was a grenade...!!! a VERY bad TYPE of grenade too... And he walked straight into it practically as he watched as the grenade was in flight right towards him... Cue the adrenaline mode, as everything went into slow motion for a second... the first thing that came to mind? roll out of the way, roll out of the way, GET OUT OF THE GRENADES FLIGHT PATH SO ROLL YOU STUPID MORON!
And thats exactly what he did. he went around the corner to the right of the building, easily hearable now, mentally swearing about 10 words a second (S word being prominent.) and rolled right as the explosion happened, covering his head the entire time... holy god that was close... his breathing, as he just made a vital 'life or death' escape, was easily hearable... and the layers of sweat he had (From the nuke) where almost 'brought back to life' with the layer he just felt like he had just gained made him smell. even someone with a sinus problem could pick him out now... at he could have a little hope that people had to LOOK at him to know he had the smell of dry blood on him. fat lotta good that does him... well, last thing he could do was plan b. go in and eliminate the targets. he still had the flash bang in his hands... so not hesitating at all, the endorphins still fresh in time, he threw the flash bang in, waited for the pang and hopped straight over the wall with the slow down, still on that slow down. he'd already brought out his knife and his pistol, because if he tried being far enough to use a gun, another grenade no doubt and he might of not of been able to make the lighting strike twice.. so it was a CQB, in order to subdue... he had it held reverse grip with the pistol straight out... he saw her, and no doubt she smelled/saw him.  "...I see we are a bit of an impasse here... 2nd LT Soria Xing i presume? a VERY wanted stealth operative from the constellation... infamous for having the 'Russian' spirit, despite being Chinese born, and with the talent to back it up... your worth your spot in bingo book... alright, i might have a bit of a solution to our problem. sense its obviously clear when someone pulls the trigger, someone else is going to as well, and we'll both end up dead... so, how about we put the pistols away, and we do this face to face with our knives instead, so at least the ONE of us will be walking out of here? its a win-win ether way." of course, he wanted to go for a subdue option... which means he couldn't kill her... to show her he wasn't trying to throw her a fast one, he lowered his pistol slowly... not fast enough that he couldn't use it if she did fire her gun, but enough that he was making his point.

(Jonnas's comments are reflecting that you said you where wanted a while a go and your personality. will change if that was dumb... the bingo book is a bounty hunting book with faces and descriptions of criminals btw.)

"I can hold my own I guess...Let's go." Burgandy nervously surveyed the minigun. He was more of a beserk soul, one who liked to shoot at random, so unless specific targeting was being called for---he could do it. Besides, making Entaru angry again was not high on Burgandy's to-do list. He darted down the porch steps and over to the awaiting Jeep.

---

Oh, how could you say no to that face? Luna chirped, reffering to Entaru's elegant muzzle and brilliant green eyes.

Luna. Shut up.

Hey, it's free candy, Moon. Maybe even cake. I don't think you've ever had cake. I'd totally do it if it was me.

Cake or no cake, Moon was not very eager to sell her devotion to a demon. But...fear had overcome her, choking, cold, leaving her senses void. So she just nodded with agreement: yes, yes, I'll be good, just please don't hurt me. The one called Entaru seemed preoccupied with his own conversation and likely did not notice the nod. She felt this was for the better; that way, if she changed her mind about behaving in the far future, it wasn't like there was a written contract keeping her bound.

She watched as Burgandy mumbled something and ran for the Jeep outside, then walked forward towards the door. Beckoning Entaru to follow with a tilt of her head. Why take the initiative? She really, really wanted to get this over with. It seemed to her as though her fate had been sealed. She couldn't steal his gun and threaten him: if Moon tried to shoot anything, the bullet would probably end up in Kansas. She couldn't just run: she'd fall on her face. Atreyu was out of communication range, and could not recieve her Thoughts. So if she was going to be brought back into Reich custody and therefore thrust into a whirlwind of depression- the sooner the better. For her own sanity.

"Good" Entaru nodded as Burgandy got into the turret.  He turned back to Moon once more.  "Looks like you get 'shotgun', wenig Mond"  Entaru tugged gently on the handcuffs and walked to the Jeep.

"You may want to hold on, Mr. Burgandy.  I don't plan on hitting any traffic."  The sarcasm in his voice was obvious as he got into the Jeep.  "Buckle up, wenig Mond.  No need for you to go flying through the windshield when we stop."  With that, Entaru slammed the accelerator, spinning the wheels out before making his way to where he was hearing gunfire.

(I'm not stupid, I know what a bingo book is, thank you.)

Soria pointed her pistol in the direction she heard him and fired off two shots before jumping backwards out the window she came in, and was surprised to find him in front of her, offering a proper duel. Soria, honor-bound in her heart, accepted his challenge and properly lifted her right hand (with the 98 in it) and released her grip from it, making it dangle from her finger, and placed it down, kicking it aside. "Very well, Captain Jonnas A.Romeo Shepard. You are also quite the hit in Constellation Bingo Book as well. I shall enjoy taking your dead body back to homeland." Soria stood with her left in front and her right in back, crouching low, still holding the Kabar in reverse in her left, and her right hand cupping the base of the large knife.

Moon yiped with surprise as the white fox slammed on the gas pedal and quickly slipped into her seatbelt. Above, Burgandy held on to the minigun for dear life, praying babbling, unintelligible prayers in his thick head. He had never believed in any form of religion, but when you're riding on the top of a speeding war vehicle--- you find yourself rather inspired. Every now and then, the Jeep would hit a pothole and Burgandy's feet would lift up into the air, only to crash back down jarringly milliseconds later. He wrapped his arms around the thing even tighter and gripped each of his arms with the opposite hand to keep them from unlocking, a thing that would see him a bloodstain on the dirt road.

Seeing how she kicked her gun away, she'd accepted. he smirked, and disassembled a piece of the pistol, rendering it unusable, as he dropped his as well. "Guess its true, in soviet russia, im worth more dead then alive, whilst your worth more alive then  dead... should also be honored that you know my name. shall we?" he was right handed, so he swapped the knife to his right, putting his open left hand in front of his face and positioned... his position mirrored hers, with the right out in front, left in the back, and having a more 'aggressive' crouch to deliver more of the 'arm' into the swings... he then circled and waited...

(finally!)

Shiro ran along the debris toward the direction of the fighting. Another grenade had gone off, and there was no more gunfire.
"Knowing Jonas, he is getting into close combat. I feel pity for the opponent."
He stopped at a corner and peeked his head.
*Yup. That's Jonas allright... but... who is that he is...*
He recognized her face from the wanted posters.
*(Censored). Maybe I feel pity for Jonas. None the less, I'll let him give him a crack at it.*
Silently, and without detection, he moved into the nearby building, keeping a bead on the Constelation soldier.
*They are too close at the moment, I will have to wait until they separate, or one is on top of another...*

Soria stared and watched Jonnas' eyes carefully as she followed the circle, and shifted her weight forward, staying as low and closed the gap in two steps, bringing the knife up to his throat.

Meanwhile, a Gulfstream was flying west into northern America from a carrier in the Pacific. Korius Lambent sat impatiently in the co-pilot's seat as he looked over the edge. "Dammit, Soria. Where have you gone in a time like this?"

Jonnas pulled his head back and side stepped to the right, ready when she came and pushing (Then grabbing) her arm with his left hand as he aimed for a stab straight into her shoulder... if the blade made contact, he would twist it, in efforts to try to disable it, then take a jump back.

(Avoiding god modding.)

Soria quickly switched her grip from reverse to forward and caught his thrust into the serrated edge. She then pushed up with the knife and parrying and redirecting it to her right (his left) and pulled his arm towards her so that his arm was in the way. (He's still gripping her right arm)

Korius continued his search and then caught a glimpse of flashing, reflective light coming from an abandoned border outpost out in the distance. "Pilot, take us in, that might be a distress call."

He took a minute to look over anything as soon as the exchanged happened... dare to move the knife, and he would get his arm impaled... soo... instead, keeping strength with the knife to keep it locked he swept for the legs with his own to throw off her off balance and attempted to head butt her... he let go during this time, trying to retract his knife without injuring his arm

Soria was caught off guard as he tripped her, but she was already moving in that direction with her arm as he let go, so she caught herself and she allowed the momentum to land her on her right hand, and she used her momentum to aim a kick at Jonnas' face.

Hours of walking finally paid off, as Howl approached a Liberation camp that was letting in citizens who survived the bombing. Howl ran up to the men and smiled, "Excuse me, I'm a scientist working with the US government, Howl Ackart." The men looked at each other then looked back to him, and spoke in a thick southern accent, "Well then, sir, I'll escort you inside to our superior." "Thank you." As they went through the base, Howl saw large groups of battered people, all hungry, tired and not knowing what to do. Most of them would be evacuated, but he didn't share their good fortune.

At the entrance of the officers quarters, a guard stood at door, "What is your business here?" "This man..." the soldier pointed to Howl, "...is supposedly a scientist that is working for the government." "Alright, send him in." The guard opened the doors and they walked in, only to find the lead officer on the floor...dead, and a Nazi with his gun raised. "Nice to see you again, Mr. Ackart."

Jonnas hopped backwards, pulling back his head again... it was closer this time, he felt the wind of the knife... ether he was getting rusty, or she was just as skilled with a knife. due to the the proximity and how close he was before a throat slit , he couldnt sweep in... he was losing his chances to attack rapidly, and some thing would have to happen eventually...

*(Censored)! I missed it... just because of that stupid... whirring?*
He looked up out of the roof of the blown out building he was hiding in. A chopper, not armed, was flying low. It wasn't marked, and the conflict between the Nazi's and the Liberation was one where no spying was needed. It was probably a rescue for the Chinese spy. If it was Liberation, it would have radioed him, knowing that he was in the area. If it had been Nazi, it would have been armed to the teeth.
*Well, i don't want to ruin Jonas' fun... lets see...* He ran through a diagnostic of helicopters in his head.
*The fuel line would be... there, that's it.*
He pulled out a couple of Armor piercing rounds out of his pouch, and loaded two into his magazine.
*3... 2... 1...*
The gun fired a silent shot into the fuel line on the bottom of the plane, catching fire.

(If you want to run, Shinzu, I am throughly distracted taking down the chopper.)

He was about to make or counter a move, as he heard something... a chopper? he held out a one finger for a minute, and put his knife away, heading towards a window... he was hoping, and yet had a feeling, that she was professional enough (And smart enough.) to throw away the fact that they where enemy's for a moment so they wouldn't get swiss cheesed if this thing was a hind or something... this wasn't a normal extraction point, so it most likely wasn't her ride or anything... if it was disregarded, they could get back to killing each other. "Wait a minute... truce for the moment unless you don't mind being chain gunned... there's a helicopter outside... you blew up my extraction so its not mine... highly doubt you called in an extraction sense you where sleeping... and yes. i saw the lodgings."he took cover crouching under the window... pulling out binoculars "Leaves us the Fourth Reich... dark enough i cant see the bloody insignia or colors... perhaps we can finish this later to deal with the common enemy if its... wait... that doesn't sound righ-" that when it suddenly combusted, much to Jonnas's surprise. "Soria, I recommend you take some bloody cover, theres a flaming bird in the sky and i imagine a counter sniper or sharpshooter out here that shot it, unless you can prove to me that helicopters magically catch fire...!" Soria nodded when she saw the figure come out of the chopper, she grabbed her rifle and pistol. Where's a place that you would have a good view of that?

Korius jumped out of the Gulfstream as it caught on fire after they did an emergency landing, pulling the pilot out and switching the emergency fuel cut. He grabbed his suitcase and opened it, grabbing the sg552 and aiming it quickly at the soldier underneath him. "Don't move, you liberation trash!"

Soria quickly looked up and pointed her 98 at Korius "Matte kurei, Koriusu!! Watashi no desu! Tokei goshuji bakku!" (Wait, Korius! He's mine! Watch your own back!)

Korius sighed and snapped at Soria,"Watashimo Wa omai wo kaimasu!" (You're coming back with us!"

Soria hissed at him as she slung her rifle over her shoulder and pointed her 98 at Jonnas and yelled at Korius. "No-sankyu-daiben!!" (Well, no **********!) She kept her gaze fixed on Jonnas. "We will finish another day. *To Shiro* I know you're out there, Sniper! You are here to pick up your man, as mine is here to pick up with me. Now we can either each walk away, or we can shoot your friend right now! What will it be?"

Yurian fell back to avoid most of the bullets, while one grazed his forehead, but the pain associated with it never came as he got up and grinned rather excessively...

Yurian felt excited that he just made someone who had chased him, turn tail after only one round. He immedeatly followed after him, waiting ten seconds before stopping to take aim and fire. Luckily for him, it didn't jam as it sent another round screaming towards the former attacker, nicking his shoulder as it punched through the armor he wore. If he lived through this, he would probably think that his behavior was affected by whatever hit the town, but he knew he was enjoying every moment he spent hunting a Nazi.

"So, let me get this mind-garble straight...." the rude yet always of good heart canine said as he propped a knee up on the leather steering wheel. They did make it outside city lines, into the 'country,' and had since pulled over and shut off the vehicle, leaving the passengers with an eerie sort of quiet they did not precedent.  "...You and your...companion...were some sort of biological experiments for the Reich? They took you out of Germany and here into America, and during that passage you were presented an opportunity to escape. Now you're trying to keep running away and by that end eventually establish some sort of normal life?"

"Yes," Atreyu clarified. "That's right."

Maria narrowed her eyes, not looking at either of them, but instead out the window at the scalded prairie grass, broken down fence, and muddy water that ran ever so smoothly through the canal. The past few minutes had gone by like a tornado of insanity and confusion, Humvee speeding down the road at speeds above eighty, the boy spilling his heart out with upmost emotion, Chance slamming on the brakes, pulling over, and yanking the keys out of the ignition. "And how in the world are we supposed to believe all that?" she asked. In her mind, she was thinking thoughts quite different. In her mind, she was quickly plotting a place and time to send a message back to the Constellation.

"Because it's the truth." Atreyu looked indignant. "And we have to go back there, we really have to-"

"Here we go again." Chance rolled his eyes. "Look, kiddo, we're not going anywhere until you manage to prove all this."

"And if I don't?

"If you don't, I'll tip you out onto your little pink nose and drive away! Now go for it." Chance motioned.

"All right, all right, all right, I'll show you," the boy cried. He straightened up in the back seat and clumsily pulled off his gas mask. "Do you have a knife?"

The Jeep practically flew as Entaru dodged and weaved through the ruined area.  Finally, he could see Philip roadie-running away from another soldier.  The weapon the soldier had was relatively new, and obviously experimental.  Entaru slammed on the brakes and turned the wheel sideways, putting the Jeep into a drift which skidded to a halt between Philip and the soldier.

"Get in the back Philip!"

Entaru leaned out the Jeep and shouted back to the gunner area. "There's your target Mr. Burgandy!  Open fire!"  Entaru turned to the frightened Moon as he placed his hands over his ears. "I suggest you cover your ears, dear.  This may get noisy."

Whilst she grabbed her weapons, he reattached his USP.45 Tactical Silenced's missing piece and hid.. little did he know, this was an accidental pick up (From what he could understand... Japanese was a hard language to learn.)... at least she honored the fact that she wouldn't kill him, as he easily saw the point in her plan... the only thing he could do though, was put his hands up, and try to look like he was screwed...truth be told, he could most likely grab her weapon, use her a human body shield, and shoot the other one... it would have to be quick, but he could do it with a low chance of survival... he'd rather the option that DIDN'T have as low an option to get him killed. a Sniper on his side wouldn't simply let him die...

Pain seared through his shoulder as the rail round pierced his power armor. To think some infantry weapon actually broke through the armor confounded him. Falling to the ground, the clone grabbed his shoulder as the suit began a diagnostic check and an injection of morphine.

Seeing an enemy snipe him successfully, and his superior commander to tell him to FLEE!?

Unthinkable. Phil pumped some aggression stims, and soon he was red raged and shouting in fury. Forgoing military protocol, he sprinted towards the sniper, the wound caused within him now invisible to his senses, he charged.

He reached the sniper surprisingly quickly, and grabbed the Rail Rifle and began to attempt to to wrench it out of Yurin's grip. While doing so, he reached for his pistol and tried to raise it up for a killshot, however it was clumsy to aim due to the struggle.

Yurian felt his pants get a little less packed as the soldier ran up and grabbed his Rail. "Sorry, can't get another one!" he yelled as he un-holstered his SMG, and aimed right where the opening was, but the struggling made it near impossible to get a line on it for more than a split second, way too short to actually shoot. Flash-bang, Flash-bang... my kevlar suit for a thrice-cursed flashbang!! he thought as he was trying to push him away.

Korius kept Jonnas in his crosshair and signalled to the pilot. The pilot then radioed for a backup transport to come and pick them up. "Soria-sama, haiyaku!" (Soria, ma'am, hurry!)

Soria cautiously walked around Jonnas, her eyes and gun still trained on him very intently, ready to shoot at the sight of any movement. When she was close enough to the building, she hopped up on the ledge of each window and pulled herself up on the other. The pilot helped her up as she reached the roof of the second floor, and she pulled out her rifle, scanning the area for the other Liberation soldier. She checked all possible points, since she was a sniper herself.

Korius held the sg552 firmly trained on Jonnas for another 15 minutes before they heard another whirring sound. In the distance, came a NightHalk transport chopper, escorted by two CAIC WZ-10 attack choppers. Soria pulled out the microphone from the Gulfstream's loudspeaker. "It seems our transport is here, along with heavy escort. Just maintain your ceasefire until we leave, and we will not kill you." Korius muttered to her, "Can't we just kill the sniper?" Soria turned the AWP onto the back of his neck. Korius gulped, his rifle still trained on Jonnas. "Ok, ok. I didn't mean it." Soria got back on the loudspeaker, "Sniper! You are indeed one of decent skill. I look forward to seeing you in the battlefield in the future. However, for now, we cannot play with you. Until next we meet."

The Nighthalk touched down past the building, and the three Constellations quickly ran for it, the two CAIC WZ-10 now above the field with their guns and missiles trained onto the field.

Burgandy, after a few deep breaths (good God working for the Reich was intense- phone calls about superhuman children out of the blue, chemical bombs that destroyed order in a matter of minutes, speeding down a chaotic city on the top of a Jeep, hanging onto a gun for dear life, breaking up a fight between a clone and an enemy solider with an experimental gun....sheesh, give a fox a break...)  , pulled himself back into position at the shouted orders, and clumsily readied the mini-gun. It was already loaded, and needed but to have the bolt pulled electronically and thereafter locked. He swung it to face the accused target, a man in the form of an unusual, exotic sort of beast, perhaps a binturong?

Then he paused with what he was doing.

Phil seemed to be in the middle of a close-quarters grapple with the target. If he shot, especially if he shot in his normal berserk fashion, he would likely kill Phil, which was not a needed thing. Sure, Phil's armor could take a few hits, but Burgandy wasn't one to just shoot a few clean rounds...He was one to shoot more like....thirty rounds before he finally stopped?

"Well this is a problem..." he grumbled, taking hold of the mini-guns controls. He supposed he could try and aim off to their side and shoot the air, frighten the both of them into ceasing their struggle.

~~~
Below, Moon put her hands to her ears as instructed, only after first unbuckling herself discreetly and nonchalantly. The less amount of restraints, then, logically, the greater the probability an attempt to escape (be she have the guts to take it) would be easier. Not to mention that both of them might have to get up and run soon, if serious fighting broke out.
You can see what's going on, can't you?
It's nothing to worry about. Why? And I thought you wanted me to shut up.
No reason. Just, just...wait....
You sound sad...
I am sad, what the hell did you think I would be right now? I'm handcuffed to a Nazi, in the middle of a gun-fight or something, I can't get ahold of Atreyu, I don't have any idea what the heck is going on...with everything.... From the bottom of Moon's throat welled a few sobs. She was only a child, only capable of taking in so much at one time. Only capable of dealing for so long. Then she started to outright bawl, tears forming and falling within seconds, muffled whimpers racking her body.
She made sure she was turned far away from the white fox. She didn't want to look at him, and she certainly didn't want him seeing her tears outright.
"Oh great...Ich bin erraten, Hitler sandte sie?" The man smiled. "Natürlich, wer sonst wäre es neben der chinese...nein, nicht einmal, Sie haben keine Verwendung für Sie." Both of the soldiers got irritated of listening to a conversation they couldn't understand, "Alright, that's enough! Speak English, you durn Nazi!" Howl looked at the soldiers, then the officer, "Ok, so what do you want besides me...Gofried." "Why would I want anything besides you, since you were the lead nuclear physicist we had. Gofried spoke in a calm voice, "True...true...yet I think you'll give it a second thought, since I've got this whole building ready to be eradicated of life...using nerve gas. There are men outside, either waiting for my word, or my death, to kill you all. I, on the other hand, will not be effected. Only this room is protected from the gas, but everyone else will die. The room went silent for several moments, then Howl spoke again. "Fine...I shall go with you, just don't kill these people." Gofried grinned evilly. "Good, very good. This way, please." They both walked out of the base, unharmed, and drove off.
"You know, Mr. Ackart, I thought you were going to let them die...so you wouldn't be reacquired by Hitler, I guess your not so selfish after all." Howl sat there, silently, trying to find a way to escape the man. He hands had been bound together, but they were on the front, Gofried didn't use his common sense. Suddenly, Gofried's radio gave off noise, and he held it up to his ear. "Yes...oh hello, sir. Yes, I have him..." Every passing second as he was detracted, Howl built up more courage to try and overthrow him. Then, he swung his fist at Gofried's face, breaking his nose, Howl followed up with a kick to him, and the man flew onto the side of the car. He took the officer's gun, then dove out of the car, rolling down the street then getting back up. He sprinted down the street, broke down a door using his feet, and ran inside. "Got to free my hands..." Seeing a knife in the chest of a Liberation soldier's corpse, he used it to cut his bonds. Suddenly, the roar of an engine resounded down the street. "Oh boy..." Howl dove out of a nearby window and ran through ally-ways, dodging patrols and his ever-willing pursuant until reaching the city limits. "Finally...free of those blasted Nazis..." He stumbled down a country road for a while, his legs were tired and his stomach rumbled. In the distance, a parked car poked out from the landscape. "Hmm...that's interesting..." Howl started getting closer to the car, wondering who was inside.
Shiro watched the helicopter fly off, sighing in relief. He REALLY didn't want to fight them.
He got up and crouched over to Jonas' position moved over, up, in case something happened.
"Jonas? Thank god! You're alive!"
He watched them fly off as he took a normal position... they would finish this up another time. he exited the building, no closer to an extraction as he sighed... maybe it would be best to head back to the city. he sighed and started to walk.. as he heard someone behind him call his name. he turned to see a very familiar face, which brought a smile onto his own "Haha! shiro! my friend! its been too bloody long!" he walked over to him, and gave him a hug and a pat on the back... it was good to see someone after all this...
Mine was to be short range as to not give away our location. Maybe you might know where one is?" he said, returning the hug, and slinging his Dragonov over is shoulder.
Entaru uncovered his ears as he realized that there had been no gunshots.  Looking out the side window he saw Philip and the soldier grappling at eachother.  "Oh, for crying out loud."  Entaru uncuffed himself from the child and cuffed her to the car door.  "Stay here, I'll be right back"  Leaving Moon in the car, he exited the vehicle and donned his 'medical' glove.
While he was rubbish in a fire-fight, Entaru had been the top of his class in hand-to-hand combat.  Of course he wouldn't need to worry about any fancy manuevers from his target, nor would he have to execute any of his own.  All he needed was to get close enough to use his syringe attachment.  Picking a chemical from his belt at random, he placed it into the glove and sprinted at the two combatants.
"Sorry to butt in Philip, but..."  Entaru stabbed at the enemy soldier with his syringe to inject the chemical into his bloodstream. "...priority dictates that we leave at once!"
((Note that I haven't actually stabbed you Chrono, but I'm stabbing at you.  The chemical was random and will turn out to be little more than a brief paralytic.  If you wish, you can become a prisoner or run away before the paralytic kicks in.  Entaru isn't going to chase you as he has bigger fish to fry.))
Soria sighed frustratingly as she sat in the Night-Hawk, riding outside of the US border, towards the Varyag Aircraft Carrier waiting for them in the Pacific Ocean. Korius looked over and shook his head. "Come on, we saved you from getting captured by their armies out there. At least be appreciative that you're going alive." Soria quickly drew out her Kabar and held it up to Korius' throat. "You interfered in a warrior's bout. If anything I should kill you right here and now." Korius pushed her hand away and sighed. "You're wanted back by Shinzuu's orders. I am merely following orders." He grumbled under his breath, "Though I don't know why we put such an emphasis on such a wench... Soria's eyes flared as she quickly ran her Kabar across Korius' face, cutting it, and sheathing the knife back away. "Watch your tongue, or else it's the next thing to go." The rest of the ride went without further sound from anyone, and as they landed, were greeted by Constellation's own leader, Shinzuu Katame.
Entaru watched as the soldier collapsed to the ground, then turned to Philip.  "Now get in the Jeep, Corporal.  That's an order!"  He looked down at the soldier again.  "While you're at it; you can restrain this man, take his weapons, and put him in the back.  The Reich will be interested in this new technology."  Enatru slipped off the glove and walked back to the Jeep, a bit perturbed by the whole situation. "Double-time it soldier!"
Getting back into the Jeep he looked at Moon, finally realizing she was crying.  He sighed and smiled at her. "Now don't cry, wenig Mond.  I plan on reuniting you with Atreyu as soon as I can.  There is no need for tears, everything will be just fine.  And because you have been so good, you'll get an extra special treat when we get back to camp."  Entaru pet Moon's head in an attempt to comfort her.
Philip just glared at the colonel as he was ratting off orders. However, unfortunately for Entaru, Philip was still red raged, and had to be shock collared. He gathered the sniper and restrained him and placed the guns in the back. Soon afterwards he got in the jeep and punched the Colonel square in the jaw.
"You do not interrupt my CQB with a worthy opponent! I should kill you right now and let the man go!" He yelled, clearly losing control. Soon after, a large surge of electricity entered Phil's body, and he let out a cry of pain before going unconscious.
He rustled in his satchel a little.
"Well, I got K-rations, and a vodka, but I know you don't like Russian spirits... hey... I just thought of something... wasn't it odd that that Helicopter got so much backup in such a small amount of time? I mean, my mission briefing said that there was no Constellation presence here, and yet there were a bunch of choppers here. They probably had a long range radio on one of those helicopters. Maybe we should go check it out?"
Entaru took the punch, his jaw coming loose with a very audible "CRACK!", and watched as Philip collapsed in his seat.  He glared at the Corporal's unconcious body and in his mind decided that his court-marshalling could wait until they got back to camp.  Grabbing ahold of his jaw, he snapped it back into place, grimacing.  As soon as Burgandy was seated, he started the vehicle and drove his way back to Camp Himmler.
One uneventful drive later...
Entaru was greeted by soldiers at the gate of the Camp.  Seeing who it was, the soldiers quickly opened the gate and allowed them in.  Parking the Jeep, he ordered some of the surrounding soldiers to take Corporal Philip to the 'cooler'.  "Make sure he's locked in there good and tight.  I have to pay him back for the lovely toothache he gave me."  As they dragged the Corporal's unconcious body away, he ordered another group of troops to take the prisoner to a holding cell and to bring the Railgun to the Camp scientists for examination.
He turned to Burgandy as he was exiting the vehicle. "Feel free to walk around Mr. Burgandy.  See if you can make yourself useful."  With that he looked down at Moon and smiled.  "C'mon, wenig Mond, the treats are in my office."
He lead the girl through the camp and into a moderately sized building.  After what seemed like a labyrinth of halls and doors they finally came to the bright red door of his office.  He opened the door and sat Moon in one of the chairs by his desk.  After a bit of rummaging he finally produced a tin out of one of his cupboards.  The tin was brightly colored and the figures on it seemed to dance as the light hit it in different spots.  He opened up the tin and sat down beside Moon.  "Here we go..."  He moved the tin so that she could see inside.  The tin was filled with what looked like little white clouds.  Pulling one out, he popped it into his mouth and let it dissolve.  "It's called divinity...here, take one.  Don't chew it, otherwise the flavor goes away too quickly.  Let it fall apart in your mouth."  He held the tin so that she could grab a piece.
Soria and Korius saluted as they jumped off the Night-Hawk. Shinzuu returned the salute, "At ease, welcome back, Soria. We have been worried when you disappeared 2 months ago, and were especially worried after our satellites picked up that nuclear missile striking the US. I presume you've taken care of your ex-husband, since I do not see him with you? *Soria began to protest, but he held up his hand* It is alright, I understand. Just tell me if he'll be any further trouble for us. *Soria shook her head* Very good. Now, I would like to reiterate our rule of NOT killing our own men. That includes adding another cut onto Korius' face. Now, we have a new mission for you. If you will look at this file." Shinzuu handed Soria a single envelope and turned to walk back inside, Soria and Korius following him.
Soria opened the envelope and pulled out a single folder and a single photo. She looked carefully at the photo and then placed it in the folder as she opened it. Korius continued as she read it. "Your next target is a technological scientist under the Fourth Reich. His name is Vander Schveitzer. He is head of their nuclear weapons development team, and we need him wiped out. They seem to be trying to create more powerful nukes than the Liberation. Also, if possible, we need you to capture this woman. *Hands a blurry photo to Soria* This is the best we can get of her. Her name is Randy Alexander. She is the world's top Electrical Engineer. We would like you to acquisition her to help develop our Tesla and Prism technology. She is secondary, and dispensable if she refuses to come quietly. We don't need someone of her caliber falling into anyone else's hands."
Soria nodded as she read all the details she needed and took out the match-stick from inside the folder and lit everything up inside the folder. "Give me my usual, and my sword as well. I also want a silencer set for my 98, alongside 10 more clips and  2 more for my AWP. I also want to take a Type 041 Sub in. Drop-off on a relatively close shore if you can. I want to get this over with. Got it?"
Atreyu took the knife from Maria without hesitation. It was clearly of army make, a semi-thick blade lined down the middle with an engraved, decorative pattern; they had found it after a short time of surfing through the glovebox. He held it carefully, looking over it to determine whether it would be best to use just the tip, or whether it would work best if the entire sharp side was pulled and pushed at once.
"Now watch." The boy looked to both of them with his incredibly deep russest eyes.
"Don't worry, buddy, your creepiness has more than garnered my attention," Chance joked. Maria reached over and slapped the side of his head with an incredulous expression.
"Be nice," she growled.
“Okay.” Atreyu took a deep breath. Outside, the night was heavy and deep. The black sky and the stars thereof were marred only by a few, wispy clouds that intertwined with the far-spreading mist from the chemical bomb a few miles back. He switched on the car light above his head for a better view, then held out his arm, palm up. “Please don’t get grossed out. I have to go pretty deep, or it’ll just heal the second I cut it.”
Atreyu steadily reached over with the knife, then touched the tip to the base of his wrist. And pushed down, letting it sink into his leopard-spotted fur and flesh. He did not feel pain…until he lowered the blade yet further and started to draw it back along his vein, digging deeper and pushing harder with each half-inch. Blood pooled and streamed, warm and sticky as it dripped along his arm and down onto his shirt. When the child was satisfied he yanked the knife out, wiped it off on his pants, and set it down on his thigh.
“Oh my God…” Maria took a moment to gather herself. “Doesn’t that hurt?”
“Like hell,” Atreyu confirmed. “Keep watching. The fun part hasn’t happened yet.”
Following a few seconds more of maroon droplets staining everything they fell upon, the bleeding came to an abrupt stop and flowed no longer. Then, just as fast, skin rejoined with skin, pulling back together with invisible seams— and it was as though he had never cut himself at all.
“…That cut…” Chance took Atreyu’s arm and examined it up close. “How deep was it?”
“I tried to go through the vein and into muscle…” he paused. “Now can we go back?”
Shocked witless, neither soldier answered him as Chance revved the engine to life again, and switched on the headlights. They were just about to take off when they noticed something had been caught in the headlights’ glare…a walking figure a football field or so down the road. “I’ve got this,” Maria said. Without waiting for approval, she unbuckled and hopped out, pistol outstretched and at the ready. “Hey! You over there!” she called, praying it was only a refugee.
Moon regarded the fanciful, magnificent tin, hunger gleaming in her pink eyes. She could just take one and chow down. The girl was starving from being so long on foot. They looked pretty dang delicious. Only problem? The last time a Nazi had offered her sweets, even after testing one himself, trying to gain trust…it had proven to be spiked with second-grade arsenic.
The girl took one anyway, impulsively. It was soft. Cloud-like. She had it halfway raised to her mouth when she stopped and brought it down, quickly glancing over Entaru. She shook her head, making a crystal clear sound in her throat that only a child could make: Nunhh-uhh.
When Phil woke up in the 'Cooler' Everything did indeed seem colder.
"Guess they called it the cooler for a reason" he said to himself as he tried to warm his arms up. When he did, he was surprised he felt skin, and not armor plating. They probably removed it from him when they locked him up in here. He unconsciously tugged at the collar on his neck.
Walking to the door, he banged on it loudly, yelling.
"The (censored) am I in here for!?"
THe guard answered with a harsh
"You Punched a superior officer in the face idiot...."
Phil ran his hands through his auburn colored hair and sighed. He punched Needles in the kisser. Knowing Needle's reputation, his punishment was probably not gonna be pretty.
Moon raised an eyebrow back at him, then, taking just a bit longer to think about it...she decided to just screw it. It was candy. She was tired. Upset. Hungry. If it was poisoned or drugged, no skin off her nose...she'd just wake up later with a headache. After giving a slight nod that was her version of 'thank you,' the girl stuffed the cloud-like treat in her mouth and let it melt, closing her eyes as she enjoyed the wonderful flavor.
Please get your SCUBA gear ready, ETA is in 10 minutes." Soria waited until the man's footsteps disappeared before getting up. She was already dressed, and her duffel with her gear had already been sealed inside the water-proof case. Soria hoisted it up and took it over to the torpedo bay. As she entered, the sailors inside quickly saluted. Soria just waved them off, not in the mood. She threw her bag into the torpedo tube and jumped in, but kept her feet sticking out. "There now...isn't that lovely?  Help yourself to as many as you want.  Now I have something to do so I need you to stay here.  I wouldn't suggest running as the soldiers know about you and are equipped with strong tranquilizers.  Be a good girl now."  Entaru kept his smile to the last as he left his office.  He locked the door behind him as a precaution and turned away from the door.
His face dropped into a scowl as he pulled himself out of character.  He had a POW to deal with, along with a clone in the 'cooler'.  The clone could wait.  He knew what Entaru might do to him, so he decided to let him dread a little longer.  The POW had information about the new weapon however, and it would be a great asset to the Fourth Reich.  After a bit of walking he entered Yurian's cell.  He smiled as he saw the soldier hanging by a pole.
Moon stared at nothing in particular for quite a few minutes after Entaru left, neither springing into action or giving up entirely, lost in the duldrums of her mind. Once she managed to assume the candies were not in fact poison, she helped herself to another...and another...and another. Then she stood up and set the unusual tin down on the couch behind her. The first thing she went to was the window. It was big enough for her to fit through...but she had no idea how to open it. Through the glass, she could see the night sky, and under that, a parking lot cast in bright floodlights. Soldiers milled about out there as well, coming in and out of various buildings--- not a good idea to jump out the window.
The girl tried to open it anyway, for a reason only someone as desperate as she could understand, and pushed up on the bottom frame. It rose up a good three inches before a series of shrill beeping noises filled Moon's ears and she jumped back, letting it drop. As the window fell back in place, so the beeping went quiet.
Obviously Entaru was not an idiot. Poor her.
Entaru tapped on the door and turned back to Yurian.  Suddenly the ropes tightened, slamming him into the bar.  The jolt nearly pulled one of Yurian's arms out of its socket.  If Yurian had been able to see the ropes, he would have known that they were not attached to the bar.  They were, instead, wrapped around it and left the room through holes in the wall.  Donning his glove with a smile he approached Yurian.  "I suppose I'll have to resort to more...entertaining methods of interrogation."
Yurian felt the pain, but kept his eyes shut. "Wait, who are you again... are you the guy I killed two hours ago, or his father?" the 'aura' he gave off, had an impression that a hinge came loose in his mind, but not the kind that would cause a mental break-down.
Entaru raised his eyebrows in bemusement.  My...you are an easy break.  At least this way I have access to your subconcious.  Entaru injected a small cocktail of truth serum into Yurian's neck.  It wasn't what he was hoping for, but it would have to do.  "No, I'm a friend.  I noticed you were carrying around some expensive hardware a bit ago.  Is it experimental?"
Yurian cackled at the person he didn't see. "I'm hungry, got a steak anywhere, rare preferrably?" despite his demeanor and reactions, he was perfectly still on the pole, like a predator just biding his time.
Oh ho ho, well that sucks, doesn't it? Luna came back into Moon's head as the beeping came to a stop.
Oh, God...I'm not done yet so be quiet.
Moon then proceeded to step two of her procedure: open every cabinet, every drawer, every closet that was not locked. She had heard Entaru lock the main door before so didn't even bother. Even if she did correctly pick the lock on that one, she might end up opening it unto a guard, or God forbid, the fox himself. For now...she preffered not knowing. Soon, in one of the desk drawers left ajar, the girl came across a letter opener--- probably the most pathetic weapon ever, yet her eyes lit up nonetheless. She knew what she was going to do, all right, she had this down...Moon gripped the blade tightly and shut the drawer after her withdrawl. She walked over to the other side of the room, to the main door, and then stood to the right side of it. She leaned up against the wall and waited.
The young pomeranian was going to stab Entaru when he came back in. Stab him in his leg. Or his stomach. Or the eye. Whatever was closest to where she decided to hurl her weapon. Then, when he was preoccupied with being in pain, she was going to book it past him like a shun of a---
Wow, Moon. Such the brilliant little planner. Why don't you let me help with that? I'm certain there's a mirror in here somewhere.
Why don't you go back to the Hell you came from and die? Moon slowly started to slink down the wall, her bottom coming to a rest on the slick wood floor. It didn't hurt to rest. No, not at all, as she could just leap to her feet when she heard the jangling of the lock. The girl brought her knees up under her chin and rested her head on them. Her eyes closed.
.......Maybe it was because she hadn't slept in about three days, perhaps a little less, maybe it was the inevitable sugar crash, but whatever it may have been.......Moon fell asleep within five minutes. So silent and serene was she.
Well...that didn't work.  Entaru sighed, seeing that he wouldn't be getting anywhere with him in his current state.  Tapping on the door, he was let out.  He turned to the guard.  "Keep an eye on him...should he so much as breathe differently, I want you to give his head a nice clunk."  Entaru turned away and made his way back to the office.
As he walked by he ordered a few soldiers to let Philip out of the 'cooler'.  It wasn't Philip's fault after all.  He just needed a bit of...reeducation.  He tacked on a new order to the soldiers, telling them to take him to the XAMOR scientists for repairs on his neural inhibitors.  What is the point of having a clone with anger management problems?  The neural inhibitors were meant to keep their aggression in check, but commonly broke under too much strain.  The technology was still in its infant stages so the scientists couldn't be blamed either.
Finally he made it back to his office.  He pulled out his keys and unlocked the door...
Cutting through her dreams crudely, Moon heard the sound of keys in the lock, raising to her ears through the murky depths of unconciousness, but she didn't wake, though her reason begged her to. She simply let out a little sigh and turned her head. Then it was back to dreamland.
Through the halls of the compound, Soria walked around, in the uniform of an unfortunate Nazi that was the same size as her. She had stuffed her bag along with the body in the person's own locker and carried only her 98 inside the uniform, she didn't really trust these Nazis' guns. Soria inauspiciously inspected each cell. She stopped short of the next hall as she saw Entaru open up his office door.
Yurian heard what the Nazi said, and a twisted grin formed on his face. He gathered whatever phlegm he had left, and shot a loogie right at the guard in front of him. He waited for the guard to actually come by and throw a punch, which Yurian greeted with an open mouth. The fist barely fit in his jaw, but he didn't mind, he clamped down, letting his teeth dig into the hand and draw blood. "MMMMM, MMMGH!!" (Food, finally!!) he tried to yell while chewing the hand of the now panicing Nazi, who left his side-arm on the table since he figured he wouldn't need to shoot someone tied up. Another hinge came loose in Yurian's mind as he literally tried to eat the hand that was going to harm him.
In the halls, there were shouts in German coming from the now squeaky-voiced Nazi 'guard'.
Entaru heard the alarm and ordered a few men with tazers to take care of it.  The prisoner was going to be a handfull, he could tell already.  Sighing he turned back to the door.
Opening the door, he looked about the room.  Suddenly panic kicked in as he realized that he couldn't see Moon anywhere.  What!  How did she get out?!  There was no way she could leave without me knowing!  He looked about the room and turned back to the door to call the guards when he saw Moon curled up in a ball next to the door.  He placed his hand on his chest to ease his heart and let out a relieved sigh.
"Poor thing...fell asleep waiting for me."Entaru whispered to himself, trying not to wake her up.  Walking over to her, he knelt down and picked her up off the floor.  He heard a slight clang as the letter opener dropped to the floor.  His eyebrows shot up as he looked at the letter opener and then back to Moon.  Bloodthirsty little thing aren't you?  He smiled as he pocketed the letter opener and took her out of the office.
Many of the soldiers looked at him quizzically as he walked by them with her in his arms.  They had never seen Entaru smile like that before.  Walking through the endless halls he finally came upon his quarters.  It was ornately decorated, but also very small.  It was separated into two rooms.  One was the living area and had a couch, a radio, and a desk full of papers.  The other room was the bedroom.  He looked at her as she dreamt in his arms.  She could have the bed.  He preferred the couch anyways.  He opened the door to the room and placed her gently in the bed.  It had been a long day.  After covering her up, he closed the door to his room quietly and made himself comfortable on the couch, allowing himself to drift into sleep.
It had been a very long day...
An old part of Yurian didn't want to let go, it had been too long since he last tasted someone else's blood. When the guards came with tazers and jammed them into Yurian, he yelped. But, he really couldn't let go since the fist barely fit in his mouth, so he gritted his teeth and bared with it. The gritting had a painful side-effect to the 'captive' Nazi, where after pulling out his hand, found that it had been cut to the bone, and most of the flesh was stripped off and in Yurian's unconsious maw which he instinctfully swallowed.
Need to get out of here... can't go back, not yet... was all he thought before his unconsiousness let him sleep.
Soria, not wanting to seem suspicious, went with the other soldiers to the cells and watched them taze Yurian. She recognized his face immediately from her bingo book. The famous Yurian is causing this much trouble, even when incarcerated. She smiled, but it quickly as a ranking officer that tazed him pointed at her. "You! Take the Private's shift for the next 4 hours until his replacement comes in." Soria imitated their salute and spoke in German, "Sir!" The rest of the soldiers left, dragging the incapacitated Private away, and the officer handed her the keys before walking out with the others, closing the door. Well now, this can be interesting. Soria walked around the cells and examined them, only the worst were put in this part of the building, and it seems that all of the cells were empty except for Yurians.
Soria walked up to his cell and opened the door again. She took the cold cup of coffee that was still on the table and splashed it onto his face. "Hey, idiot. Wake up. If you want out of here and raise some Hell, I have a proposition for you."
The soldiers who took Phil away were having quite the trouble restraining him. They were ordered to take him there, but restrain him? That was against mission parameters.
Eventually they managed to shove him into the surgical wing, where some wicked looking doctors slipped on gloves and sedated the clone.
As his vision faded, he could see the glint of surgical knife, and then blackness.
Soria grabbed the chair from the desk and flipped it over in front of her backwards and sat down. "Indeed. Now, normally I would take my opportunity and kill you for my bingo book, but we might have some mutual self interest here. I'm here to kill a Vander Schveitzer and take with me, a prisoner by the name of Randy Alexander, as well as possibly obtain a sample or the plans of this new weapon I hear of. Seeing you here and knowing your reputation, you might be wanting to raise some more Hell on a bigger scale and also obtain something. Tell me what you're after and the intel you have, and I think I might just let you out with some guns. How does that sound, Big Boy?" Soria's eyes glowed with cynicality and senility, she was ready for a bloodbath and a good distraction.
"Okay, so those choppers went thataway. It's dark though. I vote we set up shop over here until the morning. We need to find this... stronghold. I'll take a look at our maps of the area. You look like you could use a rest anyway."
He went over to a building that was mostly intact, pushed through the door, and put his bag down in the corner of the building. He pulled out a map of the surrounding area.
"Hmm... the choppers flew that way" he said, putting a furry finger on the direction. "They would need a refuel somewhere over there... so, unless Constellation has set up a forward base that we don't know about, then the closest rest stop is the Nazi base. Think they would have a HAM?"
Yurian thought about it for a moment and decided to play along. "I was captured and dragged here, 'he' went to kill that Nazi captain since he had some new type of bomb, turning anyone who is in the bomb-site into psychos. My only reason is to get some food, and get back my weapon... 'he' also wants the weapon back." Yurian kept referring to 'he' as the person he is while his mind is calm and secure.
There was still blood staining his jaws from the attempted cannibalism earlier.
Soria smiled at the spectacle. Truly a psychotic killer who isn't tamed. I like it. She took a ration bar from her pocket and tossed it Yurian to snack on and started to close the cell door to walk out for a bit. "Chew on this for now. I'll get your little toys and some more... suitable delectables. Try not to die while you're alone. Who knows? Maybe you can lead me to the 'weapon'. Not bad for a first date, isn't it?" Soria opened the little slit on the cell door and sauntered off, swinging her tail in an exotic way as she walked out.
Yurian tried to catch the bar, but he had limited movement since he had been tied to the walls, and held on top a pole. It fell and hit the floor, and he started thrashing about. "Gah, I hate being hungry!!" He was back upside-down and swaying to-and-fro while waiting on the woman to return. Hm... Yurian thought about how to get out, then realized the ropes were not all that advanced (Why would they, he was a far cry from super-strength). He raised his head up, and started to use his teeth to cut away at one rope. In moments he freed one hand, and his mad grin became more prominent as he could now pull himself up to another rope and start cutting both hands free, which he did. You thought I was an idiot for sharpening our teeth with their bones, well look where it came handy!! He said as he began on his left foot.
Soria opened the cell door as Yurian tried to nibble his way out. She took out the Luger and shot the ground beneath him to get his attention before holstering it again. "Well, now. Someone trying to get out and get the jump on me? One wrong move and I'll save the Nazis some time in killing you. *Pulls out her 98 from inside the uniform* Now, here's how it goes. You give me what intel you have on this place and its contents, and swear a soldier's oath on a truce until we get out of here. In return, I cut you loose, give you your clothes, toys and food. *Swings the items in a clear bag in one hand and holds up a large piece of ham that she had stolen from the mess hall* What do you say? Though be warned, I will kill you if you try anything funny."
By the time she had fired at the ground beneath him, he had cut off the second to last rope, and was now dangling by his right foot. "You didn't say you would be coming back, so I got bored of just hanging around. As for what I know, theres a science room where they took my weapon. But, beyond that I have no idea where I am." I just want to get some people and intel out of here. Just stay out of my way." Again, she sauntered off in her usual fashion and flashed a quick turn, shooting the last loop of the rope while his attention was still on her. Soria smirked and pulled off the uniform, revealing her own underneath and pulled out her 98.
Yurian hit the ground and fell on his back, muttering a soft and high-pitched "Ow..." before getting up and then sifted through the bag, getting his knife and smg. "Hehehehehahahah!!!" he almost roared before running down the hall, unsheathing his knife, and planting into the nearest guard, while taking out his smg, and shooting the legs of the rest. He watched them drop as he cut the throat of the guard next to him. " Boss said I couldn't eat Liberation soldiers, so you'll guys will have to do for now." He said before tearing into the neck of the now-dead guard he stood over, and took out a piece of his jugular and some of his neck meat. He gulped it down and burped before taking various pieces of muscle from the other guards and putting it in the plastic bag for safe-keeping. He was surprised no alarms went off, but then looked as one guard was trying to reach for the alarm, but Yurian had killed him before he could. Hmmm, now to come out where I came in... and follow the trail of the people who ran off with my weapon."
Phil walked out of medical... a changed clone. It honestly felt like the medics and docs fumbled with more then just his aggression inhibitors. Thankfully they saw fit to let him back in his newly repaired armor.
"Could've fixed MY shoulder but whatever..." he moaned as he retrieved his weapons.
Suddenly he heard gunshots and bolted down to where he heard them, the cell block. When he arrived he saw, a really really gross dragon eating people... and a woman?
Curious, however now was not the time to admire her physique, the dragon wasnt eating her, so she wasn't friendly.
Phil aimed in with his XM-8 and held his breath, steadying his aim, he fired, but a slight twitch sent the bullet into Soria's general direction, not INTO her.
Phil cursed his incompetence and opened fire once more, this time at Yurian.
"Agreed!" Maria cried hastily once she heard the clear German shouts and the shot fired from Leon's gun, as she ducked for cover behind the hood of the Hummer. She scuttled to the passenger-side door and pulled it open. Leaning in, she hissed: "Boy, hide now!" Atreyu obeyed and crawled into the legspace between the backseat and the frontseat, ducking his head down as low as possible so he couldn't be seen through the windows. Maria then looked to Chance. While she took hold of her rifle and began to ready it, she said to him: "I don't think they noticed the boy, but I've still got a carload of Nazis and a refugee with a pistol on my hands. Mind being a help here?" Chance nodded, and unbuckled, ready to climb outside and join her. A car chase didn't seem like an option here--- the Nazis could simply shoot out one of the tires, and that would invariably cause more damage than not. This was either going to end quickly and terribly...or it was going to end slowly and in victory.
Entaru was startled awake by the alarms.  Growling, he grabbed his sidearm and aimed it at his door.  He knew better than to leave his quarters, what with Moon asleep in the other room.  If he left then whoever caused this alarm might take her.  There were no windows in his quarters and the vents were too small for even a rabbit to fit in.  If anything wanted him or Moon, it would have to come through the door which was made of reinforced steel.
The child's safety and security were top priority at all times.  All others; the soldiers lives, the captured weaponry, the POW's, the enemy, even his own life, came second to the child.
He was riddled with bullets and had a knife wound across the throat. Well, (censored) She moved on, looking through the rest of the compound. Sure enough, there laid Randy Alexander, crushed by the ceiling inside of her cell. "Errrr.... (Big Long String of Endless Cursing)!!!!" Soria then continued around the complex and found some extravagant-looking doors. Well, if anything, I better at least come back with a valuable head. "You kill a slew of guards, and run when a challenge comes..." Phil muttered as he pursued the running dragon. Fortunately for him, the Dragon was lost, and there were other guards who knew where he was.
It made tracking him quite easy, to say the least.
Now all it took was following that information to his target, then BAM!
(Yurian isn't a dragon...)
Yurian continues to run down the hall, and runs into a few Nazi guards, who start shouting in German before he unloads the rest of his smg into the left guard and pounce-kills the one in front of him. "Hmm... am I the hunter, or the hunted?" he asked himself 'aloud before running in the same direction the guards came from.
Upon seeing the grenade come in, Entaru quickly slackened his jaw and closed his eyes.  He figured something like this would happen.  Opening his eyes again, he hurled a lamp at the intruder before unloading half of a clip of his sidearm at her.
"You do not give orders here, swine!"  Entaru rolled behind the couch as the bullets whizzed overhead.  "Unless you wish to die horribly, then I'd suggest you choose a weaker target."  Pulling a vial from his belt, he hurled it over the couch and through the open door.  The vial smashed against the wall in a sudden explosion.  Hearing the blast Entaru shouted again.  "That was a warning shot, girly.  I have plenty of larger bottles of similar compounds ready for use!"
Soria watched the projection of the vial and listened carefully at Entaru's voice. She looked around and found where he was sitting and watched the shadows at his rump. Soria took out her AWP and aimed carefully, shooting a warning shot that pierced the couch and, hopefully, his side. "And that was MY warning shot! I've killed many of the strongest in the world. Entaru cringed as the bullet grazed his side.  He looked down at the wound and grimaced.  He then looked at the hole in the couch and smiled. "Your loss, girly."  Entaru pressed the Deagle into the hole and, following its groove pattern, fired.  The shot would follow the same basic trajectory as the one that had grazed his side.  Unfortunately, that trajectory would end where Soria's gun was held meaning that it was heading right for her aiming eye.
Yurian heard the shots, but didn't want the armored guy to find him. So, he made a mental note to go back after getting his weapon. He managed to get out of the jail area after making a left, then a right turn and then it was a straight shot to the door.
Once he got outside, he had to remember german writing, which actually was only two months ago when he came across an old german-english dictionary in someone's house. He tried to remember the words 'Weapon', 'Devealopment, and 'Research' while looking around for such signs. The closest one he could find to his memory, was a facility that looked more like a bunker than a lab. Either I found an underground path, or my weapon... lets hope for the latter! he thought as he dashed across the ground, avoiding gunfire as he bumrushed his way into the facility.
Soria  saw the barrel and quickly jumped out of the way, into the room, her AWP shot out of her hands. She rolled and shot 2 rounds at his left leg. Soria's blood boiled with rage. "GIRLY!?!?!?" She quickly pulled an HE grenade and Flash Bang and pulled their pins, throwing them at Entaru as hard as she could, both bouncing off his face and landing between them. Oh, (Censored). Soria dove backwards and landed on the single-seat couch and let her momentum push it back so it flipped, giving her cover.
Entaru hopped up as the bullets ricocheted off the ground by his legs.  He fired another round as she rolled across the floor, putting a massive hole in the floor.  "Hold still you-"  Entaru was cut off as the grenades bounced off his face.  He stumbled over the back of the couch he had been sleeping on and the blast knocked the couch over on top of him.  He wasn't stuck or hurt but he wasn't happy either.  "That does it!"
Entaru hurled the couch off of him and towards Soria.  If it missed, who cares...it would still work as distraction.  Entaru sprinted right behind the couch as it flew.  It landed short but it didn't matter.  Using it as a ladder and a launchpad he leapt off the side and thrust the syringes on his hand forward towards Soria's chest.
Soria spread her legs and grabbed the chair between them, raising it up to stop him, and threw him and the seat aside. She ran towards the other set of doors to his bedroom and burst in, barring the door with the closest chair she could find and reloaded, getting ready for his next attempt, but was then in shock to see a small child sleeping in the bed.
Entaru leapt up and rammed into the door to try and open it.   Finding it stuck, Entaru aimed at the hinges and fired his remaining two bullets into them.  The door fell off of its hinges and Entaru tackled Soria.  "Too bad for you, girly.   I was going to us you as target practice but now I think you'll do better as part of the landfill!"  The syringe on his glove switched into a bonesaw and started up, filling the room with a shrill screech as he lowered it closer to Soria's face.
Enraged, Soria hissed at him before kicking him between the legs right up his tenders and threw him off her. She drew out her 98 and pointed it at him. "Sorry, but a sadistic pedophile like you will never be allowed to have the upper hand on me." With her free arm, Soria grabbed moon and slung her over her shoulder and slowly walked out, keeping the 98 trained on the professor.
Yurian had reached where there was a group of Nazi scientists with their whole 'mad scientist' get-up as they examined the gun in every way without tampering with it. Yurian forced the only door that seperated them open before closing and sealing it again behind him, and went up to each scientist, carving his rage and hunger into their bodies as they fell one-by-one. He was surprised none of them were armed or grabbed his gun. Hm... either they had no experience, or were too terrified to think of shooting he mused as he checked the clip.
He had five rounds left, and a clip that he retrieved from that woman. He walked back to the door, and aimed his gun at the center before pulling the trigger. The force it applied didn't go through the door, but it broke off the hinges and sent if flying into the wall. He started feeling like everything was 'right' again as he carressed the Rail as if it were the only thing that mattered in his life. "I missed you so much, even if you do malfunction." he lightly pecked the side of the barrel before heading upstairs to get re-aquainted with his 'best friend ever'.
Entaru's face went from rage to shock as he saw Soria with Moon.  If she left with Moon then he'd fail his mission and be killed.  Something inside of him screamed in protest to losing the child.
His eyes shot over to the door and then down to his watch.  His panic disappeared as he grinned his 'Needles' grin.  "Don't think you'll be getting away that easy."  Entaru pressed a button on his watch then crushed it underneath his foot.
Suddenly a massive steel bulkhead dropped from the door frame, slamming into the ground.  More could be heard slamming down around the entire compound.  A few unfortunate soldiers were crushed and bifricated as they came down on top of them.  The entire compound was now in lockdown.  Nothing would be getting in or out for 36 hours.
"Put...the child...down...."  Entaru hissed from his position on the floor.  He knew he might die, but losing the child was too much of a risk.
As the 'Mad' Yurian walked out of the bunker, he quickly aimed at the first of the two entrance guards, and in a calm that only a master killer is capable of, put the guard down in a very messy headshot. Then next moment he kept dodging the next guard's bullets by side-stepping just as the guard stopped moving his gun around, which seemed to be a very freshling (his word for someone who lacked the will to stay focused) mistake. He kicked the guard's feet out and then finished counting to ten in his head as he put another high-powered round through the skull of yet another Nazi. He looked around and saw his own footsteps that lead to an area in lock-down. He figured the door was too thick for a 'normal' shot, so went to pry an automatic gun off a nearby dead Nazi, then went to the door and held it in both hands as he kept his thumb down on a red button with yellow-black striped around it.
When he fired the gun, it looked like a laser covered in electricity shot out of his rifle and punched through the door. He heard the sound of something closing and quickly went through the hole before a second layer of metal blocked the entrance he came in from. He knew he had only two bullets left before he could reload, and the gun wouldn't respond for a good six minutes while it did its 'cooldown' procedure. So he took out the MP45 he looted from the guard and walked down where he heard gunshots go off a few moments earlier. First directive: Keep the Rail in my possession; Second Directive: Ensure all civilians are secured; Third Directive: all non-liberation soldiers must die... he recounted in his head as he walked down the somewhat familiar halls.
(if Yurian is Liberation, he should recognize Phil's name and voice)
As the bulkheads slammed, Phil scrambled for cover, at least to avoid being shorn in half by metal on metal. It was a disturbing thing to think about, but he got out of the way.
Once in a new position, he caught a new glimpse of Yurian. This time with the place locked up tight, there was no running. Phil had a clear shot at him, but wouldn't take it, not yet. He wanted to have a little fun.
"This is First Sergeant Phil DeBouran, calling for any reinforcements... can anyone hear me?" he called. his voice hauntingly similiar to the missing Phil's
Soria growled under her breath, but the smirk on her face that followed was even more senile than Entaru's. She held the girl lower, using her as a shield and pointed her gun towards a little flashing red light shaped like a bullet where she had been tackled. "Maybe not now, but I will soon enough, you cynical little pedophile. This compound's about to be dust, and I wasn't planning on doing it this way." Dammit, if I don't get out of here soon, I'm screwed, too. Why'd I have to put the beacon tracker in my thong?
Entaru stood up slowly and looked at the light.  "What does that mean?  An airstrike?  If you think threatening me with death will scare me then you are sorely mistaken.  My job is to live and die for the Reich.  You are trapped in here, with me, until this place turns to dust.  I am not afraid to die, but perhaps you should think of yourself.   Put the child down, call off the bombs, and I will allow you to leave unharmed when the lockdown is over...despite killing my men.  Besides...do you want to have the blood of a child on your hands just before you die?"  Entaru moved his couch back into place.  Even if he was killed, Moon would survive and be found by a Reich salvage crew.  As long as the intruder couldn't leave, Entaru held all of the cards.
Soria kept her gun trained on him. "That sounds interesting, but I'll have to decline. I can't leave a poor defenseless child to a sick and perverted pedophile like you. Besides, I can't call off the strike. That beacon is one-way, and we've already been locked. The only way I can call it off is to get my hands and a long-range radio. Why don't you open the doors and I'll happily arrange you a ceasefire. Or else *points the 98 at Moon* I'll have to save this girl from the misery of being here."
Entaru snarled as he watched Soria place the gun to Moon's head.  He had to say something to get her to put Moon down. "Leave her out of this.  She has been through enough already.  I brought her here to protect her, nothing more.  And I can't open the doors.   They're sealed shut and will only open after 36 hours have passed." Entaru looked around the room for anything that might help.
Soria pressed the 98 tighter against Moon. "Well then, in terms of this sortie, we seem to be at an impasse. However, in other terms, both of us will be dead really soon." Soria's ears perked as she heard the sound of Migs flying overhead. "It seems your men have picked up on the subs and Carriers off the shore. Too bad, though, they're already too late." Soria held Moon tightly and dove under the bed and missiles began to pummel at the compound. She kept her 98 trained on Entaru's general position, hoping he doesn't try to kill her before the compound's roof does. A section of the roof above the door into the bedroom collapsed and crushed the front half of the bed, only a centimeter away from her toes.
Entaru dove in after her, syringes at the ready.  Unfortunately, a chunk of falling debris landed on his legs pinning him to the ground.  His torso was underneath the bed, but his lower body was being crushed outside.  Entaru let out an infernal howl as he felt his legs and pelvis get pulverized underneath the wreckage.  Now with blood pooling in his mouth, he slashed madly at Soria but to no avail.  She was out of reach.
He would not have that...
Digging his scalpel attatchments and fingernails into the concrete he pulled with all of his strength, howling as muscle, tendon, and flesh tore inside of him.  There was a sickening crack as part of his spine snapped in two.  Still pulling, his lower back gave out a noise that sounded like a man walking on popcorn, as he pulled himself in half and started crawling his way towards Soria.  Blood was now pouring from his mouth as he stabbed himself with one of the syringes to slow down his heart rate.
"GIVE HER BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"  Entaru screeched these words as he clawed his way to Soria like some beast out of a madman's nightmare.
Soria back away from the monster with ease. She went around the bed and started climbing up the piece that fell from the ceiling with Moon over her shoulder again. As she reached the top, Soria quickly ducked as a low-flying Mig can swinging by, being chased by a Constellation Mig. She quickly reached into her fanny pack and pulled out her one flare. I can't believe it came to this. And to lose my AWP on the same day. Soria slammed the flare on the ground and hailed one of the Constellation Migs, hoping one of them will contact the Carrier and the subs.
Entaru clawed his way to her with surprising speed.  His bloodshot eyes were fixed on the still sleeping Moon.  His mind may have been long gone but the need for the child was still embedded deep in his dying brain.
He crawled up the wreckage and, with what strength he had left, hurled himself at Moon.  Grabbing her as he careened by, he rolled with the child into a crevice created by a missle.
It wasn't big enough for Soria to fit in.  He positioned himself between Moon and the entrance to the crevice to keep Soria from shooting her.  He held the child carefully and pet her hair as he realized that he had succeeded.  The child was safe again.
"Don't worry wenig Mond...Entaru's here..."  Entaru vision slowly began to blur and then...
...darkness...
...........The world fell apart. Peices broke away from peices only to slowly form together again. A dream. Moon had been asleep, dreaming, unbeknowst. Now she gingerly opened her eyes to see that she wasn't in the same place as before. And Entaru, THE Entaru, the one she had wished harm...was lying broken next to her. They were in some sort of cramped space, she couldn't quite tell where. Moon, feeling panic flow into her, started to gently shake Entaru in the strange hope that he wasn't dead and would open his eyes just as she had. If the world had truly fell apart while she was asleep, in dreamland...she owed him for being so close to her.
Yurian didn't feel like running since he had the tools needed to shoot down any nazis that tried to stop him. That girl... where did they take her? he thought as he turned the corner, and saw the door that lead to the nazi 'commander's room wide open and the room in complete shambles.  Hey, you can take over now... and your gun has a few more minutes left on it... he 'heard' as he started to regain his senses, and then the coppery taste in his mouth.
He leaned against the wall and vomited what looked like leftover skin and muscle, then shook himself back into shape before following a blood trail leading from the room to the Nazi leader, who was hiding in a crevice with his back to the entrance. He was about to put a round into his head to make sure he was dead, but saw the child in the crevice. "Hey, I need to get you out of here. This place could still be crawling with Nazis!" he said as he offered a hand, which he noticed was still bloodied from when he 'lost' himself. He offered her his left hand, which had some as well, but significantly less than his right. He kneeled down to her height before reaching out again. "I'm with the Liberation, my only concern right now is getting you out of here alive and well..."
Soria heard the voice and jumped back down into the room. She grabbed the AWP from the doorway and ran the barrel into the back of Yurian's neck. "She's coming with me. *another salvo of missiles hit the compound* I'm taking her away from all of you sick (Censored). If none of you like it *points the 98 at Moon* you can take her remains instead."
Moon had since given up on normalcy for the day. She pulled back from Entaru and gave the both of them the absolute steeliest look she could muster. The blood-spattered child rose to her feet carefully, shaking. "You see him?" she asked, motioning at Entaru. The first time she had spoken aloud in years, yet God did it come naturally that day. "He's dying because I wished he would be hurt. I wished it. And that makes it my fault, does it not?" She turned to Soria, snarling: "And you, you just go ahead and shoot me as many times as you want. Because it's not going to make a bit of difference. Trust me on that one."
Since Phil's plan failed once again, because Yurian could somehow anticipate that he was the armored soldier from before. The area shook as Eurofighter Typhoons battled the MIGS from the Constellation. One Eurofighter shot down a MIG Easily, but then was flanked and destroyed by another. The dogfight would last quite awhile, but Phil wouldn't care.
Phil climbed over wreckage and corpses, and came to the door to Entaru's office. He saw a woman holding her gun to Yurian's head, but she wasn't in Nazi uniform, so she was a hostile. Phil sprinted towards her and tackled her to the ground.
Yurian was going to counter the woman who had him 'pinned', but when he felt the barrel fall off his neck, he tried to reach in and grab the girl, but his arms were blocked by the Nazi his rifle didn't completely push away. Yurian thought for a moment while the two started fighting on the ground, and took out his rifle. "This is going to be very loud..." he said as his gun cooled off just in time for him to fire another one of the laser-like shots, at least putting a nice dent into the wall from the kinetic force for him to get a good extra foot in there. "Come on, I need to get you out of here... I can take him too if you want!" he said, pointing the the commander's body before making his hand open again.
Title: Re: Our Plagued Reality: Us and Them
Yurian sighed at how she acted."Look, I can get you both out of here before that woman comes back to kill you both!" He noticed a flicker in her eyes soon after he said 'both'. "Yes, the man there is alive, but I can't get either of you out unless you trust me to get you out of here!" His boot camp instructor would have condemned him for acting desperate with a civilian, but considering what he experienced with the Nazi's, hes going to have to get some humility before saving her is possible.
About two miles from the installation, a Liberation Heli was on its way to extract Yurian after his chip-sensor went off. "At least he had the decency to go nuts at a nazi camp rather than a town in the middle of migration." one pilot said as he neared the base, trying to stay out of the Constellation's firing range.
Yurian poked her in the back, which got her attention, and then pointed to the body still in the crevice. "How exactly do you plan to 'protect' the body if its stuck in a crevice that could collapse at any moment?" He took out his MP45 and hoped they would stay down until the girl got him out of the crevice.
More rounds began to fly by Howl's head, so he ducked for cover. After another five rounds being ejected from his gun, it ran out of bullets. As he reached for a new clip, he saw that there were only two. He said to himself in a whisper, with his German accent apparent, "Stupid Nazi officers, they don't carry enough ammo on them!" Gofried passed Howl and his newly found allies, then spun his car back around and pushing down hard on the exhaust. He called out in anger, "I will have you, Howl-" His screaming was cut off by the sound of Howl's gun, who was trying to drown out Gofried before he blew his cover. "Damn you, Gofried!"
((Well there you are! XD )) Maria couldn't quite catch what was being said around her. Gofried sounded more like Goat Fried and Howl sounded more like Dowl. "Goats or no goats, Mr. Leon, would you like our assistance with this problem?" she called as both Chance and herself got out of the Hummer. Not waiting for an answer, she raised her rifle and fired in the general direction of the Nazis, or...at least she guessed as much.
The potential for him to get spotted by the Nazis was much too great to risk. After her third look back, she whispered: "Chance...grenade..." Everything is fine and in order so we'll all just move on. I really miss Soria, though...I was gonna have fun with her....;_;...))
Moon looked up at the man in ememy attire with watery eyes. Oh, she trusted him to get her out of here all right. It was what would happen after that that she worried over. Glancing about herself forlornly, trying her best to soak in the situation without totally losing it, she said: "I think that one lady left, and I don't feel her presence...she won't come back to kill us now." She wondered what had happened to Soria--- just a minute ago, that clone had lept out of the blue and tackled her to the ground, so maybe they......
No. Stop....That didn't matter now. It shouldn't matter. Nothing should matter now.....nothing except......nothing except...him.
Shaking her head to clear her mind of all thoughts that distracted from the task at hand, Moon got down on her hands and knees and crawled back inside the crevice. She grabbed what was left of Entaru, and carefully--- very, extremely carefully ---pulled him out, his still flowing blood staining everything it touched, including her. Once he was out, the girl attempted to pick him up, only to find herself overwhelmed by the weight of even half of a man. She mewled in innocent frustration and looked to Yurian. Just as Moon was about to ask him for friendly help, she happened to notice what had been spread across the floor this entire time, jagged, luminous pieces of a terrible, terrible thing, glittering every so often on the edge of her vision:………..a broken mirror.
Moon gasped in terror and turned her gaze away from both the floor and what was scattered across it. No way…How could I have not seen that? She held the dying Entaru closer, burrowing her nose in his shoulder like he was some sort of barbaric shield against the glare of her reflection. “S-sir,” she asked of Yurian, “I-I t-think the three of us really n-need t-to get out of here before s-s-something bad happens. C-can you h-h-help me carry him?”
In Moon's mind, the fiend Luna giggled. Don’t you dare think it’ll be that easy, Mondenkind. I have been waiting to come back for three years now. No psychopathic Liberation soldier has the capacity to stand in my way. If there is a mirror....then there will just have to be a mirror.
Yurian smiled as he hefted up the Nazi and then lifted up the child on another arm, his foot smashing and smearing the mirror as he was wearing boots since he left the jail. He tried to run down the halls, but it looked more like a mix between skipping and jogging as he carried them over to a door. But he knew from the practiced 'clock' he kept running autonomously in his head, he would have to wait for a few minutes until his last round was ready to punch through the steel again.
Well, it would be if the door didn't almost blow up in their faces. But, Yurian was far enough to where the debris would just bounce off the walls harmlessly, letting him live more than long enough to see Liberation soldiers walk into the base, and help him get the Nazi captain to the outside copter while he carried the child with him onto the same copter.
"So you've managed regain control, we'll have the boys at the lab deactivate that homing chip when we get back, lets leave this Nazi base to the Constellation... sir" Yurian eyes smiled along with his face as he felt the heli take off and move away from the base. "This is probably the first time I'm thankful for you having that thing injected in me!" he said while trying not to keep eye-contact with the child he held. I'm not exactly in the best condition for friendly talks...
Nuked. what was once left of a quite beautiful city, given the time, into a wasteland. with the follow up of that information, he was already being pulled into active duty, because of the nazi invasion that had already gone for awhile... with nothing more then a patch job for his left shoulder and something to take care of his forced 'fast'... it would do. he also got a full soldiers set up, and a new suit to boot. his personal pick of secondary weapon (Pistols in a holster.) was a shotgun, A M870 to be specific... it was the trusty pump action shotgun of choice for the Americans... though, he was idle as of the moment, so he had some time to relax.
Luna looked from first one end of the inside of the helicopter to the other, soaking up everything she saw without any level of nervousness whatsoever. She let out a tiny sigh and shifted in Yurian’s arms, trying to act in the disgusting, clingy way of Moon. (In other words, trying to do a smashing job of acting.) She listened to the whirr of the rotor and the roar of the engine. Thinking and considering. Mostly, considering how fun it would be if she turned around in this man’s arms, twisted his neck ‘till she heard it snap in two like a brittle twig, disposed of everyone else, including that infernal idiot Nazi (how in the world wasn’t he dead yet?), then set the helicopter ablaze and laugh, laugh as she watched it burn burn burn…
Oh. Wait. One little problem with that. Luna had no frikin’ clue how to fly a helicopter. Especially one on fire. And she would have to jump out eventually…sure, Luna was just as invincible as Moon, her alternate personality counterpart. But that didn’t mean she would get a kick out of smashing into the ground at however many miles an hour.
Rolling her newly amber red eyes, Luna buried her nose in Yurian’s shoulder. She couldn’t let him see them until she had to. If he did, he might question why they weren’t pink anymore. “…What’s going on with me? This isn’t moving as fast as I wanted. I don’t even know anymore…what I should do…...I’d like to think it was their fault, but……” she said lowly, so low Yurian wouldn’t hear unless he was paying close attention.
When Yurian had stepped across the broken mirror to acquire Moon and her Nazi buddy, he had created a bit of a racket as the shards cracked underfoot. That racked had inspired Moon to look up and over--- a fatal error. It had only taken a second, a glimmer in the corner of Moon’s eye, and her soul was almost instantaneously shifted and changed into the soul of Luna. Multiple personality disorder on steroids, demon possession smoking big ‘uns….whatever you’d like to call it. Hell, even the scientists who experimented on the kid back in Germany probably didn’t have any clue what they were doing when they had stuck her with any number of random, dirty needles.
“……Coming out of the dark….you’ve gotta learn to adjust…because it’s a new world out there. One you don’t know…It’s a challenge. A different sort of game, isn’t it?” Luna wasn’t really expecting any answer from Yurian, didn’t know if he was even listening. She just watched as the colors of the sky, faint outside the window, shifted from the deathly blacks of night to the pastel blue of early dawn.
___________
Maria gave her group of merry men (women, and children, let’s try to avoid anymore sexist errors from now on) a thumbs-up sign. She looked back at the vehicle Atreyu was hiding in a last time before pulling the pin of her freshly acquired grenade. Pausing for a split…one…two….seconds, then quickly tossing it in the general direction she heard the Nazis’ voice coming from, Maria then backed up as far as she could, beckoning Chance and Leon to do the same. She listened as the grenade rolled across the dirt road and bumped into something.
Yurian looked around, then pointed at the guy who had a mirror and was shaving with it. "I need to show someone how much they need a cleaning." the soldier chuckled as he tossed Yurian the mirror, who caught it and looked down.  He used his left hand to force her head away from his chest and look into the mirror "As soon as we get to the base, I'm gonna have to wash all that blood off... the nazi has already been patched up and was given a transfusion, although we don't know if hes the right blood type." He noticed her eyes won't open, and he held up the mirror between his knees while his right hand pried open her eyes. "Look at yourself, too scared to even see your own reflection!!"
Ross stumbled through the blighted wreckage of Calby, the town now a shadow of it's former self, he looked back into the old shelter now seeing the skeletons in full light "Oh god, I think I'm gonna" Ross collapsed to his knees and vomited, the air was thick, and he would not last long unless he could find help
"W-W-WHAATTT the hell are you doing??!!" Luna howled, yanking her head out of Yurian's hands, turning away from the mirror, and kicking her legs wildly, trying to get him to put her down. Now. Again, the most entertaining scenario of revealing her superhuman abilities and killing him popped into her unholy head, but she knew that if she tried that she'd end up with the same scenario as the one she'd planned before: stuck alone way up in the air.
So she'd do something much less violent yet painful regardless...she, while still beating him with her fists and kicking her legs, Luna opened her tiny jaw as wide as it could go and chomped down on his shoulder. And pomeranians happen to have quite sharp little teeth. Especially the pups.
Yurian pulled her off, and felt the pain of her teeth, and then saw the blood on her jaw. He looked at his outfit and could barely believe it. This stuff protects against bullets and knives, even I can't bite into it with sharpened teeth... He picked her up and carried her over to the side of the heli, forcing open the door and holding onto a net of straps while holding girl by the neck. "I'm not really in the mood to play 'animal' with you, now if you want to live, you'll look into the mirror..." which he had in his right pocket, and girl in his left arm.
(( :/ Somebody's really...determined to get Luna to look at herself  :o Haha....))
Oh my....well this had turned things around. If he dropped Luna she'd live, of course, but damn would that hurt. Time to try her other deck of playing cards. "Hold it, hold it, hold it. Can't you see I'm scared of it? Don't you want to know why? I mean, if I look into that mirror, then I die...It interferes with my powers..." she lied, reaching up and holding on to his arms while she dangled by her neck. Sure, what she said was basically admitting what she really was...not just a little pomeranian with a strong bite....but one of the only two supers in the world. One of the supers of whom the Nazis were supposed to keep a secret until the right time. This was going to be like...blowing the whistle...
((Don't worry Entaru, someday I'm going to have her go looney toons, and when I do it is going to be glorious but I need to save it for the right moment...not when she's in a helicopter hanging from her neck.))
((Insane Yurian has a low tolerance level, Yurian has no capacity for tolerance))
Yurian wasn't buying it, but felt like playing along. "I got powers too, but I look in a mirror everyday to make sure my powers didn't leave my face covered in blood..." He had no real clue if she was speaking the truth or not, but as far as he knew, he was the only one alive after the nuke that had become what others called 'truly strong'.
Mmmmhhmmm....she wasn't buying his speel either, but hey. "Well..." she tried to recall all the experiments Moon had been put through, to see if there was any knowledge in those that could help............"Well, my powers are only helped by blood! The more blood I have, then the stronger I become! It's like alchemy, you've got to make sure every ingredient is just right at the time they're needed!"
Oh great, now she made herself sound like a lunatic murderer or something....wait.........she was.....
It sounded like a manga when she explained it, and it only annoyed him further. "Well, I really can't spill all your blood here to see if you're speaking the truth, but there is something I can do instead of throwing you off the heli." he closed the hatch, and then slowly took out the mirror before flashing it right in front of her face when her eyes opened. "Look at all that blood you could use to make yourself stronger!!"
Luna caught a glimpse of herself: red eyes, blood stained, formerly snow white fur.....then with a ear-splitting howl of agony that sounded like a dying witch Luna's soul was shoved into the back of Moon's mind and Moon's soul was shoved to the front, returned. But poor little Mondenkind could not take the abrupt shift two times in a row, however, and as she as she was back, she went limp in Yurian's hand, unconscious.
Yurian felt a tad bit concerned that he did indeed kill her, but then heard her breathing and calmed down, going back to his seat and looking at the soldier who gave him the mirror, who had paled when Yurian opened the heli door. "Here, you can have the mi-" "You can keep it, just make sure that never happens again!!"
Ross heard people talking in the distance, and cautiously poked his head over the hill to see a group of nazis standing over a wounded liberation soldier
"Just finish him already! You insolent runt!"
"Please sir, I'm not sure I can kill a man when he's in a state like this" The man grovelled, before being tossed aside by the nazi officer,
"Detain him!" he shouted as the other nazi was pulled into the back of the van.
"Time for some pest control" the nazi officer said as a sinister grin spread across his face.
The shot rang out across the town, and Ross winced with fear as he saw the man's brains splatter over the pavement, and then passed out, rolling down the hill and landing next to the nazis....
Maria winced as the sound of an exploding grenade rang out through the beforehand thrumming silence. Sparks flew and orange flames rose against the blackness. "Did I hit something? Did I? Did I?" she asked, wringing her hands, as a child would ask whether or not they did a good job on a scribbled drawing.
"I dunno, but that was a pretty big un," Chance said, and patted her shoulder.
Then, speaking of children, shock peirced through her as the grey cat saw Atreyu climbing out of the Hummer. He looked nervous, probably knowing he was disobeying a direct order. He held up his hands submissively. "Just relax. All I'm wanting to do is make sure none of you died out here. A boy can't just sit still in one spot if he hears a freaking grenade blow up." Then, after jumping down to the ground, Atreyu froze when his gaze finally passed over Howl. "W-what's he doing here?........."
"He's a refugee. A refugee with a gun, but you see a lot more of those nowadays," Maria said.
Atreyu shook his head sullenly. "No he's not. I know very well who he is. Never got the pleasure of meeting him in person, though." Rapidly, burning rage flowed through Atreyu's blood. This was Howl Ackhart. A former nuclear scientist....for the Fourth Reich.
Yurian arrived at the base still holding onto Moon as the medics brought the Nazi, later identified as 'Needles' Entaru, to the emergency room for a transfusion, then brought clams and restraints at the instructions of interrogators...
But Yurian wasn't interested in the Nazi anymore, he had to bring his weapon to the engineers for an overhaul. "Sorry Captain, its out of our league, we don't even have the schmatics to this level of hardware, you're asking the impoissble." Yurian handed them a flash drive marked 'Rail Sch', and they uploaded it to one of their computers. "Change of plans, we'll do what we can to fine-tune until you're called out again. Thanks for the designs Cap'n!" Yurian nodded as he carried moon to his own quarters, wrapping her in a blanket before tying a rope around her and a chair she was sitting in. He got rid of all reflective items, including his dog tags, and stashed them under his cot, blocking all view of under the bed with pillows. Now I just have to wait for her to wake up...
...Things got loud all of sudden. looking down the hall where the voices came from, he overheard commotion, interrogative planning, sounds of machines at work. something happened... not much longer, one of his fellow captains flew right past him, carrying a girl. Being polite was out of the question, the only thing he could mange to say in his time frame was "Welcome back capta-"
He stood up from his seat and looked to where he went...the medical rooms where not near lodging, if he remembered right. Guess he was heading to his room or somewhere... the girl was interesting enough, but he minded peoples business. he'd get much more valuable information if he asked for a sit-rep up front. so, heading the opposite way of the other captain, he headed towards the front, where the 'action' was.
"Oi! whats the sit-rep up here? i could hear you all the way from the military quarters!"
Moon sullenly roused, as if from the pits of an unknown abyss. It felt like she had been ripped to one side of the universe and back again in a matter of minutes. Sighing, she opened her eyes, pink, par normal, and looked at where she was and at the man across from her, slowly mouthing the words: "....Where's Entaru?" before realizing she had been bound. The girl hung her head in confused defeat. "Why do I even care about him anyway? There's no reason...." she said to herself. Then she finally found the strength to adress her captor: "Where am I?"
At first all Phil saw was blackness, he blinked a couple times to clear his vision. Yes it was slowly coming back to him. He pulled himself up.
"(Censored!) MY (CENSORED) HEAD!" He practically yelled as he raced a hand up to hold it. He faintly heard someone ask for his name over the radio, thankfully it was inside his armor and not outside it. It survived the collapse.
"This is Phil.... who am I speaking to?"
He stood up, and nearly lost his footing in the pile of rubble he found himself laying on. Dust was falling from the roof, and he thought he heard an alarm faintly in the distance.
He wondered why he asked about the kid, the Colonel still never told him what she was for. It was probably better not to know. For all he knew the Colonel could've been into THAT.
He shuddered at the thought and regretted ever thinking.
Entaru found himself standing in a vineyard.  His uniform was gone, replaced with jeans and a light blue t-shirt.  He was holding a basket filled with grapes as he stared across his new crop and at his house.  His wife was calling in him and the children for supper.  He felt a tug at his pant leg and looked down.  Standing there was a little white fox girl in a yellow dress.  Her black hair was short and bobbed, and waved slightly whenever a breeze came through the vineyard.  Her bright green eyes sparkled in the sunlight as she smiled at him.
"Can we pick more after supper, Daddy?"  Her puffy white tail flicked about happily. "I want to pick all of the grapes today."
Entaru laughed and smiled.  They had only picked a quarter of the total crop in the last week, with help.  "We'll see, honey."  Another call came from the house.  "Go on and wash up, Sonya.  Tell Mommy that I'll be in when I finish this vine."  Entaru nudged the girl towards the house.
"Kay!"  The little girl ran back to the house giggling.  Entaru shook his head and turned back to the vine and began picking again.  Just as he was about to pick the last grape, he heard something.  Entaru looked around as the sound got louder and louder.  Soon he realized the sound was coming from above.  He looked to the sky and saw a massive plane flying overhead.  What in Hell?...
Suddenly he saw an insignia adorning the side of the plane and he froze in horror.  The plane was from the Liberation...and it was a bomber.  Entaru dropped the basket of grapes and broke into a sprint towards the house.  "KATIE!  GET EVERYONE TO THE BASEMENT!  HURRY!"  Entaru all but screamed as he ran to the house....
...too late...
The bomb slammed into his house with pinpoint accuracy.  Entaru was thrown from his feet and into the vineyard and fell unconcious.
When Entaru awoke, he was in a cold room attached to various machines.  He couldn't feel his legs.  He tried to move but his arms were strapped to the table.  He looked around the room quickly before realizing where he was.  This was a Liberation base...and he was the prisoner for once.
The interrogator noticed Entaru had awoken, and signaled the medics to add in the tranquilizer (It starts off small so he won't fall back asleep). "Care to explain why Yurian had found you and the girl in a crevice inside you're own Nazi base?" Chemicals with coded labels were being brought into the medical room. Nobody but the interrogation officers and the doctors themselves knew what they contained, but that entire shelf was ment for the use of interrogating one Nazi.
Sighing, Moon allowed her body to strain against her binds, finding leaning forward to be much more comfortable than leaning backward...."What are you talking about? I would never try to hurt someone like that, not without a reason," she cried softly. She was, even without the help of Luna, about to reach her own personal breaking point. The girl hadn't eaten anything but a small helping of candy and a chunk of bread for the past three days. Her throat was dry and parched, her legs aching from so much forceful running . She had started to care for a Nazi who, in all reality, she should have tried to break away from in the first place. She had no idea where Atreyu was, or what was happening to him.....And the way this conversation was going it seemed like an interrogation, which she was all too familiar with. If Yurian managed to get it out of her just what she was....then who knew what this enemy power would do to her.
Thinking about her past didn't help her feel any better.
Right now, Moon's life plain sucked.
"Look, I just want to be let go, okay?" Moon pleaded. "That's all I want. Just to be left alone. I don't want to be with anybody but Atreyu....can't anyone see that? I just wanna be normal." As she said this, her head sunk even lower and her shoulders heaved as she started to cry again.
Yurian sighed and went to his fridge, which he rarely used since he always rented his room out to someone else during long missions. He noticed they restocked it with some  sodas and a few juice drinks. He grabbed one of the juices, and then grabbed a container of 'Mac&Cheeze', taking it to a microwave and putting it in for fifty seconds as he got a small glass and filled it with the juice. He presented it to Moon and tried to not look in her eyes, because he knew he failed as a boyfriend, let alone a father-figure. "I don't know if they fed you or not, but you seem a bit thirsty. As for the chair, I'll untie you as long as you don't look under the bed. Its filled with all of the mirrors in this room, and I don't want someone screaming inside the base. Especially a ten year old who apparently can't remeber a helicopter trip." at the end of his statement the microwave rang and he went to get the food, putting it on a low-rise table and moving her chair in front of it and then put a plastic spoon on the side along with the glass of juice on the other side.
He untied her and then went to get some food for himself. "I would have given you a bigger meal, but with things the way they are, we're lucky to get a chicken that isn't growing three extra drumsticks."
Moon's eyes widened at the (in her ideals) amazing-looking meal. She'd never had a real meal before...."This...this is really for me?" she asked in disbelief, not knowing that Mac&Cheeze and juice was quite common outside of Nazi laboratories. "But...I don't want to put you out...you don't have to do this for me....." she blushed, looking down....
God, it smelled so freaking good.....
Yurian joined her at the table with a bag of boneless fried chicken he heated up and the rest of the juice he had not given Moon. "To be honest, I'm not authorized to let you leave to find this 'Atryeu', and you're not putting me out, I usually don't sleep here. Sniper's don't get the luxury of returning to base if their target is still alive. So usually this room is rented to someone else; go ahead, you're allowed to eat... I got two more of those if you're still hungry."
Moon felt happiness flow through her viens like soap bubbles would flow through the sky, and she quickly dug in at being given permission. She didn't feel her heart sink at the news she wouldn't be allowed to leave.....she knew they wouldn't let her in the first place. That's how it had been with everyone since she the day she was born. No open doors whatsoever. By stuffing her face like a ravenous hyena, she managed to finish it all in about one minute, letting out a pleased: "MMMM..." as she blushed even more and closed her eyes, dreaming of the newfound taste of cheese....as she drifted, she accidentally let something slip out: "Back in Germany, in that lab, they'd just give me a peice of bread and some water once a day. If that often. Knew that I wouldn't...."
Then she rapidly straightened herself, her hands flying to her tiny muzzle. "Oh! I mean....what I meant to say was...." she swallowed, trying to think of something.
((She has a tendancy to blow it, doesn't she... :/ ))
((Yea, but that makes it funny :3))
Yurian stopped eating and put the chicken on the table as a grin came across his face. "Just so you know, I'm only in the Liberation because of the tracking device and the nuke. I know for a fact you didn't fire a nuke since you would still be at Germany with Hilter the III. But, this does explain why that Nazi had such an interest in you. Now, we could act like this never happened and eat in silence, or you could give me a recount of what happened." He was honest about his resons for staying in the Liberation, since he was kind-of treated as a monster due to his past performances. "You know, you look kind-of cute in a kiddy way when you tried to make something up..." he said with a grin as she was still fumbling for words.
Moon wiped away the few remaining tears on her face. She had gone from wanting to cry to wanting to smile in a matter of moments.
"You know...I'd like to thank you," she said. "No adult's ever treated me nice like this before...except maybe Entaru." Then she looked up at him, considering what he'd said. "I have no qualms with telling you about myself and what I know, not that I know much, but that is...if you want to know about all that."
Yurian popped in two pieces of chicken while thinking it over. "Hmm... as long as there isn't romance between you and someone else involved, I think I could handle it. I'm a 'recovering' cannibal after all..." He went over to the door and locked it, stuffing blankets into the cracks and then getting his helmet and hanging it on the knob to act as a warning if someone is trying to listen at the door or try to get in. "Ready when you are..."
Giggling, Moon shook her head. "No...I don't think there will be any romance." Inside, the pomeranian child found herself incredibly nervous (who wouldn't be, seriously...)to be sitting across from a cannibal, after all, with her regenerative power, she could very well be a never-ending snack for him if he wanted......He did say he was recovering....and maybe he had been joking anyway.........Taking in a breath, she made herself more comfy in the chair, or tried to, before resting her head in her palms and her elbows on the table. This was going to take awhile.
"This is going to take awhile," Moon repeated her own thought to him. "So get comfy...................Well, I guess it started when I was taken from the hospital as a baby. From what I heard, things were really great in Germany back then. Everyone was really happy, for living under Hitler, of course. Since everyone was so happy, Hitler decided it was the perfect time to try and excel his scientific parameters. He tried cloning, tried building any number of new weapons......and these new weapons he wanted to build weren't mechanical. They were....real people. I, and Atreyu, were two of those real people. They took us as babies, without any question, away to a lab in Berlin, and from there started drug testing day after day. When something wouldn't work, they'd just develop something else and try that.....When I was four, Hitler decided to just give it up. None of the drugs that he'd tried had worked in granting us subjects power. So they shuffled us all into what they call a 'shower...'
The 'shower' turned out to really be a giant oven where they planned on burning us away into nothing.
Only Atreyu and I....
We burned. But we didn't die. We healed. Slowly, even as hours passed, and when they opened up the shower, there we were, not dead. Lord knew Hitler got excited and thrilled and quickly set us up for a few more years of horror.
...Just a few weeks ago, the scientists who 'own' us decided to take us here to test radation and new surroundings on us. But we ran away...and that soon led to my being here right now." Moon tried her best to give Yurian a serious look, so maybe he'd beleive her better. "Basically, Atreyu--- he's eleven, I call him my big brother ---and I, we're invincible. Nothing that's been tried on us has ever succeeded in killing us. Give us poison, and our body swallows it. Shoot us and the bullet gets eaten up. Chop us up and our limbs will grow back." The girl said these things from unfortunate painful experience. "But anyway, I don't know much about what Hitler's planning right now, so I'm no good for secret intelligence or anything. Just....I'd be careful around the Reich. They can and will try anything to get what they want. I'm proof."
______________
Back at the oh-so-wonderful Nazi base, Burgandy answered Phil with: "Well, I was in my room....can't tell it apart from all the other rubble now." He proceeded to make his way out of the building and into the early morning air, danked slightly by smoke and dust. So much time, so many things, so quickly too...."But I'm serious. If you don't know where that kid is, then we'd better start looking. She's Fuhrer-class material and I really don't want my head on a platter if you don't mind."
Yurian nodded with unusual calmness at her account. "You have no idea how many people would kill to have your abilities... maybe if Liberation can get to Germany in time, we could find out what combination made these abilities, and then give amputee's their limbs back. But, I'm just getting ahead of myself... as for the cannibal issue from earlier, I'm fine as long as I don't taste humanoid blood or get really hungry. So wait, what if you were lit on fire, would your ashes regenerate?" He was actually interested in the idea of regeneration, mostly because he wanted to give back to the soldiers who he had 'accidentally' ripped apart trying to get something to eat. "Chemicals I can understand that you could regenerate, but combustion should be turning your body to CO2 and carbon-ash, so the issue of combustion on regeneration interests me."
Moon shook her head. "Our bodies wouldn't allow that. They'd stop it long before we made it to being ashes....From what the scientists told me, it's even rather....special with large things like atomic bombs and CO2. They tried a powerful CO2 on us, like a nuke. We blacked out, but they said it didn't even touch us......they said there was a flash, then they looked....and we didn't even have a scratch." She gave Yurian a sympathetic look, knowing that he probably didn't understand how she could get shot and bleed but have an atomic bomb not even touch her. "I don't get it either.....It's strange. And the scientists....the ones who made us what we are.....they don't even know what drugs had been the right combination to create us, though they're no doubt still looking. There were so many...that it could have been any of them. That's one of the reasons I bet they need us back so bad. They need to find it...." The girl figeted with her fingers, glancing about the room and soaking it all up, anxious but not as scared. "My name's Mondenkind.....or...Moonchild, I guess...." she said, but before asking him his own name continued. ".......Entaru........You're not gonna hurt him, are you?....."
Yurian felt a pang of guilt as he realized that after mentioning his name several times, she obviously wanted the Nazi alive. "I'm not going to hurt him, but I can't guarentee that he will be unharmed during interrogation. Um, Mod-, can I just call you Moon; Moonchild seems to beanik." He fished a couple pieces of chicken and put it right on top of her Mac&Cheeze. "Forgot, you need some meat along with the dairy and grain... sadly, we're on short supply of greens since our farming land is now irradiated."
"Listen to me Burgandy, I don't care what the top Nazi Brass thinks right now, the Dictator could go to hell and back for all I care, but right now, there's two things I want done. I want to kill the man who blew up my on-base home, and I want to complete my mission."
he didn't even have the 'courtesy' to call the Nazi Dictator by his 'official' title.
A man who hid behind a desk and ordered people around didn't deserve respect, he deserved a bullet. Guess that makes Phil the one man Entaru would want to see destroying everything he saw. His helmet filtered out the smoke and dust, and he quickly began removing rubble away from a destroyed bulkhead.
Burgandy winced, recalling Phil's.....'anger' issues. "Well sorrryyy for doing my job," he said childishly, starting to look more productively for the clone. And I'd also like to kill a few....okay, a bunch...of people right now, but you don't see me going looney tunes, now do you? Besides, I don't like him either, but you disobey the Fuhrer, you die, and I prefer living." In actuality, Burgandy used to be the most Looney Tunes of them all, and could slip back into that mentality if given the chance...
______
"Yeah, Atreyu calls me Moon. So does Entaru, 'cept he says it in German...."
There she went again, saying his name, why did she feel like....oh, nevermind. The child wolfed her meal, again in what looked like seconds. "Um, excuse me?" she asked, gingerly getting up out of her spot at the table (trying her best to be polite)...."Mister? You think....there's somewhere I could take a bath? I'm used to getting sprayed down with a hose, that's what they did in the lab, so if that's all you have it'll do, but...I really feel dirty, and you've been so nice, I just thought..." She fidgeted even more intensely now, worried she was being a brat for asking this much.
"That guy? I could probably take his head off quicker then he could blink. He isn't my boss, he's just a supplier. I could deal with any riff raff he sends my way through high explosives."
He paused in his conversation.
"Burgandy.... I can kill you.... do I have to kill you?" he asked, if Burgandy was going to report to the head Nazi, he didn't want his AWOLness reported so immediately.
Yurian lifted up his bag of chicken and let the rest fall into his maw before getting up. "I have a bathroom on the right, theres no soap in there, but there is heated water and scrubers... you think you can wash yourself, or do I need to help?" the last query was truly innocent, since he did have experience bathing his baby sister... only to have her die in her bed from radiation that came through the cieling.
Entaru looked at the soldier and turned away.  So the interrogator had become the interrogated.  "Do you really think I'm going to answer a filthy Liberation wretch like you?  Please.  Bring me a real officer and MAYBE I'll talk.  As for you..get out of my sight."  Entaru knew that insulting the interrogator was incredibly stupid but he could care less.  All he wanted was to find Moon and bring her back safely.
((Tempting indeed....would be innocent and adorable, but Sasha wants to avoid TOO MUCH awkwardness....))
"I think I can handle it on my own." Moon curtsied sweetly then went for the bathroom, closing the door after herself. Once inside, she started to try and figure out how to bathe on her own...some of these things were foreign to her. All the while, she kept on edge, in case something shiny would surface and in case Luna was still waiting to take hold.
___________
Feeling his eyes roll back into his head and his lids close, a cold wave of shock passed through Burgandy. "You wouldn't dare  .....would you?" God, the clone seemed but to be serious enough. Would be best to take him for his word then. "You know what?" the wine-colored fox replied. "Go for it. You wanna go AWOL, I won't stop you. I won't even report you."
"HAHAH Burgandy I joke with you... you Nazis need to learn to take a joke. I wouldn't kill YOU, however the brass is another story... I know how you hate their guts as much as I do... what say we get some much needed revenge?" the clone proposed, the electric collar got damaged, so he could enjoy his mood swings now.
Ross snuck our from his sterile white room, darting down the corridors of the nazi base, he hadn't come to any harm so far, but didn't want to risk anything by staying with them.
The interrogator didn't even take that as an insult, he was called up because the captains had just now came back from their missions and were given at least a day to recover, so it was him that had to deal with Entaru. "Sadly, our troops think that having you brought here all bloody and then had to revive you to keep you from dying, that you're not worth enough of the captain's attention to give up their break to deal with. Now how about you tell me what interest you have in the girl that our captain has attained, why only her?"
"Lieutenant Colonel Entaru Korin, 0932-12432-0945."  Entaru knew every trick in the book on interrogation...and was proficient in them all.  However, as brother to the Fuherer's advisor, he was also trained to (as the Liberation put it) 'keep his trap shut' even at the cost of his own life.
