me ready to learn

ok, for starters, i guess we can start with basic rules on at least some grounds.
1) always have a minimum post limit. Unless it's a battle, you want posts to be 3 lines or longer. if posts keep getting shorter, and not pick up, the Rp will die.
2) Don't be stingy with description and type in third person when out of quotes, rather than 2nd that you're very used to doing. (i.e.: Instead of saying "Pokes your face" try using asteriks (*) and actually write it out like this *Shinzuu poked Myu's face*. Also instead of saying "I walked up" change to, instead *Shinzuu walked up*. Get the basic gist of it?)
That should be ok for a start. now, try initiating a greeting on the street. Say you're walking down the sidewalk and you see me standing there waiting to cross, and you haven't seen me in years. Type out what you would do and start a conversation.
(3 lines is just a general rule of thumb. Some put their limits as high as 5 or 8)

myu is walking down the street when she sees a familer person standing by the crosswalk. when she gets gets closer she sees its her old friend shinzuu myu runs up to him "hey shinzuu i havent seen you in ages where have you been ive missed you so much"

Okay, good. Now, in serious RP's your non-quote format will be in past tense and in full description. In fun RP's many, if not all, are in present tense. to show and example, I will now post a reply to the situation, but in both serious and fun formats.
Serious:
Shinzuu heard the familiar voice and turned to see Myu running up to him. "Myu! How have you been? It's been ages!"
Fun:
*Turns around* Myu! How have you been? It's been ages!
see the difference in format?

ya i kinda do this is all so complicated with so many rules
-
These aren't really rules, more like general usage here on the forum. You'll see different styles, but it generally falls into this format, more or less. The past tense is one of the universals, mainly because RP's, at least here, are like books, so we write them like such.

well do you think we could make a fun rp for just you and me so i could use what i learned
