I have always wanted to have my own fursuit sometime in the future but thinking of idea for the suit is kinda annoying me a bit.
I will love to have a meerkat fursuit but does it need to have a unique pattern on it or can it just be a basic one and does it need to be givin a name or can that be done anytime?
With my fursuit i will like it to have a certain design or a unique mark on it (like a scar or a special/extra srtipe on it) but thinking of a good marking is really hard any good ideas for that?

I'm relatively new to fursuiting, but I have some opinions... Cookie cutter costumes are boring! During Halloween, most kids want to be whatever is popular on TV or in movies. This means that you see 25 kids wearing the same Storm Trooper or Iron Man costume that their moms bought at Wal-mart. Your fursuit reflects your personality more than you might think. Unique markings are a very good idea. I suggest doodling/sketching your ideas out on paper until you figure out what you like best.

Hardest part for some is finding the right fur to start with, but some have used airbrushing to add markings or effects. Hardest parts for the build is the head and paws. The head requires the most decisions to design.
