OK, so im a 16 yr old guy. I dont really know what to say, but im really confused at the moment. About a year ago i found out that i was attracted to yiff, but recently, in the past month or so, i have started to wonder if it was more than just some sexual attraction. Im not reall 100% sure on what a "furry" is, and im also not sure if im one, but i really would appreciate it if someone could help me figure things out. Can someone please help me?

A "furry" is a fan of anthropomorphic characters. Beyond that, it just has to do with personal tastes and interests.

Well i am a fan of anthropomorphic characters, so i guess that makes me a furry, but the place i live in, everyone judges people without a second thought about what they're doing, so i cant really talk to anyone around me about this. Also, my best friend, the only person that i would ever even consider telling this whole thing to hates me now and said that she doesn't want to ever see me again. I have no one to go to and im going through a very hard time. I need someone to talk to about this but have no where to go....

That's one of the reasons places like this exist. Other furries can get together and share their common interest(s) with each other. :) Do you have more questions?

I personally think you really shouldn't care about people judging you. The furry community in itself is highly misunderstood, and if people can't accept you for who you are, they don't deserve your attention and/or time of day. I came forward as a furry about 2 years ago, and though some people judged, I found out who my real friends are. And, who knows? You might find out that someone else is a furry, too. If you are afraid of people judging you for being a furry, you kinda hurt our feelings as your buddies and fellow furs because you're telling us that you're ashamed of us. But, truth be told, you're not so different from everyone else, and you just fear rejection, which I guess I can say is normal. My point is, be proud of who you are, and don't ever shy away from yourself.

I kind of fear saying this but here it go's.. Please keep in mind that people are just people, no one person is just going to understand why you like some things that they don't, or don't understand. You don't like being judge right? so try not to judge the folks that act on their first impulse witch is normally fear and ridiculed. Treat them with respect even if they are buttheads. "Matthew 7:1 I think, im doing this on the fly, "Judge not, that ye be judged". people will be hard on you your whole life. but your going to be fine. Try to have a since humor in everything. I hope that helped maybe?!?

Well you say not to judge others but we aren't technically judging first I was just saying that there isn't any point of being with some one that hates you for you and judging would me stating that the are idiots for giving in to the primitive reactions note that I am not try to start any kind of argument just saying

well like WZ said before, here you wont be judged, you have somewhat like minded people right here. It is up to the individual person to have understanding and perspective hopefully your friendship is strong, but if not' with maturity he may come around. And from personal experience the friends you now may not be the friends you have in a few years.

I still don't think you should associate your self with them I mean like if you come out and say your gay and they all freak put and are like omg I need time, time for what your the same person you where be for they new you where gay a friend wouldn't care about that becase if they do where they rely a friend, so same goes for furrys

I'd cut all ties, and if he comes around, then he can approach ME and apologize to ME for being such a jerk.
