Title: Your Persona / Character(s) : What do they mean?
Post by: Goblin Cat 😸 on January 06, 2010, 05:58:27 PM
I came across a journal that Leachy over on FA had made about what your persona and characters mean to you. I thought it was rather interesting and wound up rattling off a long response -- I know what they mean to me, but I had never put it in words.. So, I figure I might explain how I feel about them and what they mean to me. Thing is, I'd love for everyone else to do the same if they reply to this, or you can talk about things you didn't know about my characters / ask questions. Heck, all three would really be awesome because I absolutely love talking about things like this. It's basically the thought of if someone drew your character in a certain manner, ripped them off, or demeaned them.. Would it effect you or would you just be like, "LOL IT'S JUST A CHARACTER."

Rigor Mortis ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2985347/ )

Honestly, Rigor is me.. She is me in so many ways, but unlike everyone else, she's also what I don't want to be, and what I want to be when I'm depressed. She's how I feel when I get paranoid.. She's basically all these bad things and my crude humor wrapped into one.  She's what I'd probably act like if I wasn't "supposed" to act nice and not be crazy like I am at moments. She's that part of me I often hold back because people would think I was crazy if I acted upon my urges. Occasionally I do, and then I get some odd responses, so I figure, "Maybe I shouldn't act that way. Hurrr." She is burnt out on emotions like I figure I'll be in a few years, and how I am sometimes. She doesn't care who hates her, or what enemies she makes as long as she's having fun doing it. She's spiteful, and a loner, but can occasionally have a friend (such as Tezztor) if not just for some friendly competition. She doesn't play well with others, and in all honesty trusts very few people. If you're not in the circle of trust: Beware because she can be pretty darn cold. She has that bipedal / quad thing because in some mentalities she can be logical, intelligent.. While in others she can be completely unreasonable and angry.. A "feral state of mind" I like to call it.

Nyx ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2784478/ )
Nyx is also me; Rigor before that snapping point. She's logical.. Good morals.. Doesn't have a bit of distortion on the world. She's shy.. Timid. And clings to one person for hope. She's also reclusive.. Which I am. As you'll notice.. She is clothed unlike Rigor which shows that she's still civil mentally and can process things like a normal person. If not a little moreso and cautiously. She can be paranoid at times, but again.. She's basically that civil part of me. That how I'm "supposed to act." She's also tempted by that flawed mentality known as Rigor.

The rest of my characters: Ankh, Romei, and soon to be Geist (whom I am still working out) are rather extensions of parts of me.

Romei ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2761969/ )

Romei is my outlet for learning. My morbid interest in gory things. Dead dreams of being a pathologist (the character himself is an at home self taught pathologist..), my loner side even moreso than with Rigor. Rigor will mingle and get into people's heads.. Romei just doesn't want to be around them. He snatches bodies and treats them as guests at his home before dissecting them, just so he can pretend to be wanted (No, he's not into necrophilia before anyone asks that.) He is a lonely fellow who wants to have social interaction, but figures that people are not worth the trouble they make. He prefers the dead because they don't complain about how you're neglecting them.. They don't argue.. They listen. The perfect group of friends. He's one of my more sad characters.. But not obviously so outside of me mentioning it. He's a master at hiding how he feels.

Ankh ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3039086/ )

Ankh is hard to explain. He's a whole other ball park. He is my anger. The anger that hides beneath silently and springs at an unsuspecting moment. He is my frustration and confusion on the whole religion idea.. Is there something out there..? He's also my feelings of helplessness and my will to keep going despite all things. He is blind, deaf, and dumb because I am also in the fields of religion but it also has a duel meaning of another frustration of not being able to communicate efficiently. People don't understand him. People don't understand me.. But there's a method to his madness.

Geist ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3208128 )
I'm not entirely sure on her yet because I've yet to build on her, but I do know that she is basically a childish embodiment of my love of dinosaurs and partially a friendship. I'll be working on her, when I have the time, but really I only have those few things on her.

As a whole, all my characters mean a lot to me.. Which is why I'm quick to get offended when people rip / steal.. Or draw them sexually (which no one has to my knowledge, thank goodness.) The whole drawing them dead probably wouldn't bother me because, heck, it goes all the way back to that morbid interest.. And I'm fairly certain that I've drawn at least Rigor dead at least once. I don't draw them in sexual manners because I am not very conscious on the whole gender and hormones thing. I can't pick up on if someone likes me unless they have it written across their forehead in large red letters and I don't find myself sexually interested at all unless  have a boyfriend. In my entire life I have only had one boyfriend.. And I had been with him going on three years until recently.. And I am still a virgin. It's not only things like that.. But in general... I don't really understand the act well because I've never experienced it. I'm very immature in the fact that I see sex as basically mixing fluids and therefore repulsive. I only look at it from a biological standpoint because I've never experienced the emotion and feeling that goes behind it. I also know that it's something special that should be shared with your love.. Not just for anyone. So, that also factors in why I don't want my characters to be drawn as butt-buddies.

Now, that I've probably shared too much information.. You guys go for it.. And also please don't ask me why I feel the way I do on sex.. Lol. I can't explain it anymore than I have, really.

For me, characters come and go. I get attached only as much as I get attached to anyone. I like it when they're there, but I don't care if they're gone. They have their world and their life and their existence. The only thing that rises above that is Asia, who doesn't really have a character at all. Though I'll contradict myself by saying that actually he's the me that I want to be, no matter what that may be. He's a tool, a template to expand myself in any direction I would ever want to go. I give him an image, I put him in my clothes but he's not there. He's more like a mask. Put the mask on and you become an arrogant, insulting, uncaring, pragmatic, maniac. He's a soul inside a mask, wanting to be real but just unable without someone to use. Someone to bounce off. When someone puts on the mask, they'll jump off a cliff, hit the ground and dig to the centre of the earth to find a hidden city of alien dinosaurs.

I guess that's why he's so loose. He's an explosion and so has no permanence.

He's not the only character I've clung to. There's one that I've never talked about on this forum, probably because he's not a furry. He's a robot called The Magician.

I first drew him about 5 years ago, in an attempt at drawing a twisted robotic pterodactyl.

Nowadays he doesn't look so mental. I've focused him and changed him slowly, pulling him away from the ridiculousness, making him more of a superhero than a deranged idiot. Though I still really like that original drawing. This is what he looks like normally.

I've always liked him because when I take a half-realistic/half-negative view of myself (which is about as negative as I can be about myself nowadays), the magician is what I see. He's got a big mouth that's all teeth, he's got big eyes, he's impossibly thin and he's got a messed up/quirky way of seeing things, of doing things. He's intelligent but thinks quite differently to normal people. He's also surprisingly powerful. Far more powerful than you'd think from someone so stupid looking :P
It's very much my old self, when i was a young stupid mental case child. He's the symbol of my past. I don't think about him much anymore.

this is my first drawing from 2 to 3 years ago. I wanted to draw a real person so I drew myself...it almost look nothing like me. I always wanted to draw but I was never really good at it so I quite.
http://i968.photobucket.com/albums/ae164/Eratislupus/doodle2.jpg
couple of days later of the first drawing I decided a different approach. At this time I was really interested in werewolves. I wanted to be like them. I wanted that kind of persona. Yes these are computer drawn.
http://i968.photobucket.com/albums/ae164/Eratislupus/taxverf_0.jpg
this one is present time when I decided to draw again, this time on paper. This is me anthro, I like this one because one it looked like me and two this is what I wish to be.

This was inspired by one of the forums that we have here. I don't have a girlfriend but do wanna get married this is my hope of having a lovely wife.

This sounds like fun. :3

Zephyr ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2556652/ )

Zephyr is the most personal to me, she's the character that is "me". She's partly everything I am (both good and some bad), and partly everything I wish I could be. She is a bit of a loner, the same way I tend to be. Probably the most important thing to me has to do with why she's the hybrid she is. Her cat aspects comes from the good part(s) of me and the things I want to be: cute, playful, carefree, quiet, independent, and graceful. The dragon half mostly comes from the not-as-pleasant things about me, things most people never see in me because I try my best not to let them get the better of me: violence, rage, morbid curiosity, callousness, and strength. I always feel pretty conflicted with the things that go on in my head, and so my fursona is the embodiment of that conflict. Her colouring is also a key part of her personality. She is overall black, white, and grey - fully desaturated colours that can be seen as dull or possibly even bland. They aren't exactly attention-grabbing colours, and they represent the way I often feel invisible or unremarkable around other people. But Zephyr's vivid purple eyes are meant to show the spirit she has inside her, if you take the time to notice it.

Also, people have asked me why I choose Zephyr to be a quadruped. It's kind of hard to explain, but I sometimes feel like human body is terribly awkward and unbalanced. I like the balance and sturdiness of the feral form. It seems so much more fluid, graceful, and coordinated when an animal walks or runs. I can be a bit clumsy in RL, and so that balance is something I'd like to have.

Blaise ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2662922/ )

Blaise is also very important to me, even though she isn't an actual representation of me. I guess you could say she's more like the kind of person I'd be if I just threw all caution to the wind though. Blaise has a very fun, energetic, and bold personality, and she loves taking risks. I'm a pretty responsible person almost to a fault, and I tend to play things safe rather than take risks. Drawing and working with Blaise allows me to "go wild" without dealing with the problems or consequences myself. Even if I wouldn't really want to do some of the things she does, I wish I had more of the courage she has.

Teale ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2264009/ )

Teale isn't quite as personal to me. She's been a sort of token of friendship to someone I know. So even though I designed her and I draw her, it feels like she belongs to my friend more than she belongs to me. If someone ripped off her character, I'd probably be more upset on my friend's behalf than mine.

This took me a lot longer to type than it should have, but it is nice getting it all into words.

I added why I also picked bipedal and quadrupedal... People don't seem to ask about that too often. Heck, I didn't even think to add about the species I chose and why. I may go back and do that.

Blackout

I didn't create the character. And I suppose I am rather simple minded in that I took another character and superimposed a personality onto him, since he really had none to speak of. He's callous, arrogant, and apathetic. Many of my negative feelings. He's skeptical, analytical, and calculating, some of my logical feelings. He's who I think of when I think of a decepticon robot. And I often feel like a decepticon robot. Sometimes other humans just disgust and disappoint me.

Shinzuu Katame

well, what can i say? this name has been with me since i first made it up in 2001, before i ever had anything positive to say about furries, let alone being one. Shinzuu is a name I coined when I thought of a torn personality. It was when I was brainstorming my first manga. The two main charats were twins, Shinzuu and Hitomi. They represented the two halves of my personality, and the rest of the charats/battles were metaphors of the battle that raged within myself (thus it was successful for 3 books). To me, Shinzuu is the name for the resolution of a torn, and is the symbol of perserverance and love. Katame is derived from one of the most powerful clans in ancient Japan which later became a noble clan after the meiji revolution. The name is a symbol of strength, power and humility. I have been trained in two traditional martial arts, and taught martial arts for the United States Navy SEALS during basic 2 weeks per year, up until last year. My masters have labeled me as one with potential, but I believe it is my drive to protect and live that allows me to become strong, like the Katame clan. So the whole name in general, at least to me, means that I have pushed through many hardships, but I remained strong and grew, and will be MY bright hope to a future in my life.

Jad'Thor:

this is my main fursona, based on me mostly. had him as a REDXIII/wolf hybrid, which is a little strange seeing as REDXIII is a canine. he represennts kinder side of me and hes a blue wolf cause welllll, i love fluffieh wolfys annnd my favourite colour is blue as well, also obsessed with basically the same things i am....like mangoes x3 he has the armor simply cause ive always had dreams with the armor in it and it looks really cool in them, also i generally only tweak around with him a little depending on what i like at the time (like i change his weapons from gunnblades if i play FFVIII too much x3).

Zagreus:

ive had the Zagreus fursona for wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy longer then my Jad fursona (although initially not as a wolf) not the other wa around, around 4-5 years now (as a gametag, persona, in my drawings, a whole bunch of stuff). Zag is basically the...err, not so kind version of Jad with a much stronger, taller build, thicker fur and more of a loner. he also has awesomes armor but its basically ruined and not as capable as jad's. also more arrogant and doesn't really care about anything around him. and unlike Jad he's always been a dark wolf, haven't had him as REDXIII as far as i can remember although my AVI was just a black coloured version of Jad at the time. his weapons always have and always will be dark hyperion gunblades because there AWESOME!!

Salyavin:

not a fursona i use on the Forums, but i generally use on steam, or other games, hes a Dingo, no weapons, no armor, also heavily based on me but i dont use him since hes not as fluffy and im used to blueness or darkness by now x3.

(The following were made for the original intent of just the gaming field, but became characters and other personas)

Korius Lambent

The pride of an assassin and most fitting. This name is the name of silent death. I created him as such and for that purpose.

Valius Rampart

A name for the warrior of warriors. The strong of the strong. He is the be all, end all hero. He lugs a big sword and charges evil.

Shiro has always been Shiro
In about 6th grade, when I was still into naruto, I loved the Kiba character and his dog. Now I liked the dog more than Kiba, so I made a character like Akumaru. His name was Shiro Chann, the Ninja Dog. Soon after, about 8th grade, Naruto was stupid to me, but Shiro stayed a dog. I hung out with friends and during 9th grade his story grew. My friend (yugian) showed me Ragnarok, and I loved the Wolyafa Character (first furry liking), Soon, in the RP Yugian and I had, Shiro and Wolyafa had kids, Sanko, Saki, Soba, and Udan.
Long story short, I liked foxes better, he transformed, and He is brached off my personallity ever since.

Post by: Gabag on March 09, 2010, 03:18:49 AM
Gabag

Jeez where to start. The name first originated as an insult on Xbox Live that me and my friends used, along with Gumpter, and Swheen. Dont ask we are weird. Then I realized how awesome it sounds as a name, and here I am.

The character himself is a mix of heroism and sometimes just plain ridiculousness. The Gabags originated as a Cloning project by the USMC that went horribly wrong and the GABAGS escaped, and soon began amassing their own secret army underwater.  Safe to assume they are very lethal in combat. However outside of combat and managing the underwater kingdom of Gabaglantis... they really fail. They tend to wear the awesome armor of the generic enemies from video games or fiction, mixed in with the skill of a main plot hero.
They are as sketchy as Mercs, unpredictable like a cornered animal, and just plain awesome.

Dr. Freekill. The man who invented the Gabags. Smart, insane, and obviously likes to kill things. He's a relatively goofy being for a mad scientist, and for some reason wears a snow hat with snowflakes running around it, even in the summer.
He's my closest representation to myself (besides the kill part)

Charles: Usually representing my selfish and arrogant side. He's usually an egotistical and sadistic being, for such a generic name.
Oddly he has very fearsome dance skills along with combat skill
He's representing the badness within me

Marius: Ahhh Marius, such a good fellow. I gave him a Roman name, since I feel the Romans represented order in all things and a logical approach to life.
My character shoves that down the tubes and is a blood soaked loonie addicted to rage.

Oh imagine the Chaos he will bring

I use one character for all.
PheonixRebirth
the choice of the Phoenix shows the constant challenging of those who oppose me, and even though  I may fall, I will come back. I try new things, and learn from mistakes. And also cause the Phoenix is Epic like that. I left the Personality to include UNSTABLE, because I am unstable in personality as well, and my outlook on things changes often. I also like to mix it up sometimes. IT's kinda conplicated. I'm trying to figure out how to tell my parents without getting them mad at me....

Post by: Nyyrikkia Anikeria on March 10, 2010, 03:10:52 AM

Nyyrikkia

Nyy is basically me except shes nicer and hardly has any anger. When I first created her for one of my stories I didnt realise that she was almost exactly like me, until I became a furry and needed a fursona. Shes carefree and fun loving and thats why shes my main fursona because thats how I mainly am and how I always want to be.

Jade

Jade the snow leopard is the opposite of Nyy. Shes full of anger, fire, zeal and jealously and isnt afraid to speak her mind. I created her to represent of what I was like as a child and random spurts of her some out from time to time (she is now tagging along with Nyy in the fun rps)

Melanie

Melanie is a shapeshifter who usually takes an eagle form. (She is still in creation) She is the sad, depressed side of me, full of hurt and pain from the stuff I have suffered through out my life. But shes smart, quick witted and an absolute delight to be around when she warms up to you.

Out of those three Nyyrikkia is the most like me.

BuddyWolf

That's me. Thought it was one of a kind but I recently discovered that there are other buddywolf's that aren't me. BuddyWolf is my fursona I use in every thing now. Vary talkative, loves pie and glow stix, and loves to have fun. He is based off the real me so we have the same likes and dislikes and all that. However, I like rock and buddywolf likes techno. It is strange how my mind accepts that. See, its like when I am not as buddywolf, I hate techno and love rock. When I am buddywolf, it is the other way around. Can some one tell me how that works?

Mortis said I can post here, and I didn’t want to make a whole new thread for it. Anyway…

Well, I gave it some thought. I counted all my characters I’ve used, at least on the forums, I can’t remember the number so I’m just going to name them all…Reno, Dante, Alistair, Drevo, Jack, Rio, Ferdande and Alexia. So, eight. Though the last two are minor. Anyway, lets get started with the first, so basically oldest to newest.

Drevo Lajit: Drevo was my first of any character on the forums. His first and only appearance was in Shinzuu’s Kin Chronicles RP. He’s got half black and white fur, straight down the middle. Kind of a weird coloring, but I thought it would be cool to be unique. He’s also a Fox. I made him a fox because well I figured I was a fox, since it was in my early stage of furryness. And one of my favorite animals are foxes. I haven’t really worked on him as much as my others, but he’s the first, so he’s special in a way. He’s kind of a symbol of what I was so to speak.

Alistair Grimmwood: Next up, Alistair. Another one that shows up in Shinzuu’s RP. The Search for Mana. Anyway, Alistair is human. He kinda looks like L from the anime Death note. Blackened hair, wide eyes all the time. He also sounds like Gaara from the anime Naruto. Yeah, lot’s of anime references in his background, but I was trying to make him as sinister as possible. Alistair is a very evil person, very evil. If you annoy him, he wouldn’t think twice about cutting your head off with his scythe. And speaking of his scythe, it’s not always a scythe. It’s a woman that can turn into a scythe. Her name is Vivian, someone mentioned in Alistair’s RP background as his wife in which he accidentally killed. Which was the reason he turned evil and felt like killing everyone. Anyway, he uses a scythe to fight, which is probably my favorite melee weapon of all time. Alistair is pretty much my dark side, something that I couldn’t imagine becoming. So you can say I let it out using him, by funneling my pent up anger through him.

Reno O’ Malley: Reno is my personal favorite. Primarily because he is me. He also shows up in Shinzuu’s RP, Fur-al High. But along with being me, he’s got a few traits I wish I had. Like being Irish. I just love their accents. But I love accents, just I love Irish accents the most. They’re just sexy. It’s a fact. But like me, Reno is very timid. He’s pretty bright(Not one of my traits all the time) and a sweet heart. He’s also funny when you get to know him as well as friendly. Reno is also basically a spy if he was in a combat scenario or RP. Since he is like me, he likes spy things and trying to outwit his opponent. Whether it be through better weaponry, use of gadgets and various equipment or outsmarting you with various traps and thought out plans. If I were to play a game, I’d pick a stealthier person. Not primarily to kill but to sabotage. Anyway, Reno symbolizes myself and what I desire.

Jack Ravage: Another rabbit and another one that is in Shinzuu’s RP. Honor Bound. Unfortunately that RP kinda died, which left Jack to do the same. But he is all grey furred. He is a master of Nitojutsu, the art of fighting with two katanas. And he is an expert in Kyudo, the art of using a bow. But that’s really all on him. He’s pretty much my honor, calm outlook and gentle nature.

Rio Winterwolf: The first female character I use, along with the first that isn’t apart of Shinzuu’s Rps. Rio is a fox, a dessert fox to be precise. She is a whiz with explosives. She is also very wild and loves to use her beauty to manipulate people. Rio loves preying on weaker people, like people who don’t stand up for themselves. Which is why she is often paired with Reno in Rps that allow more than one character. I generally make Rio be cruel to Reno, which she absolutely loves because Reno doesn’t stand up for himself. He also wouldn’t stop her because she’s a woman. In essence, Rio is my rebellious side. Something I personally haven’t let out and never plan to. So I make due by using her.

Dante: Simply Dante, no last name. It’s mainly because no one would be able to pronounce it. At least that’s what he would say. In reality he just doesn’t have one. Anyway he is a dog, Border Collie to be specific. He’s still under construction really as he is my newest addition to my cast of characters. He has Heterochromia, which means he has two different color eyes. In this case, his left is blue and his right is green. He also has Congenital insensitivity to pain, or CIP for short. Basically he can’t feel pain, and the rarity of that disease makes him unique, and having both of them makes him very unique. But really all you see here is all that’s official, as I’m still working on him. Dante is my cool, tougher, badarse side.

Calico: Simply Calico, just like Dante. No last name. Calico is a fox, the animal kind of fox. Walks on four legs. BUT. He can transform into a human like form, basically a Kitsune. Looks human but with fox ears and tail. He has an orangish brown fur color like your ordinary fox. White tip on his muzzle, ears and tail. He, so far, has only showed up in Gabag and Entaru's RP. Bleeding Galaxy. Calico is a bit stuck up, he is also kind of a "Pretty boy". Has that attitude of "I'm too good for this" or "I'm better than you". But he's very loyal to his task at hand, if he hates it or not. But if he gets to do something he likes he won't mind demeaning himself to get it. Calico is my arrogance pretty much. Also my desire to be wealthy in a way...But I would think(At least hope) our ways to spend the money would differ from he and I.

Well those are the big seven and what they are to me….So…Yeah…

I think I ought to do an update myself. :D

Mortis ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4227996 ) - Mortis is meaningful to me in the sense that he / she is my first attempt at making a persona and not a character, though as with all my characters, I want to give him / her a story. I think this suits me and can encompass me moreso than my other characters because my other characters are just parts of me, not the whole me. I chose a doll / hoodie thing because sometimes people and myself aren't sure if I'm furry or not, but gave it the appearance of an anthro chameleon because I can appear to be one if I want to.  It has a pin through its chest that represents being stabbed in the back, since I have been so many times. Its also androgynous because I've been told I am pretty ambiguous in that respect with the way I act, and sometimes how I look. I'm building on her, and would like to use her in some RPs sometime soon. :D

Sekoshi: Seko, is my first fursona, He represents my happy go lucky attitude while also expressing my hurt and despair. i also added in a   demon form for him because i am prone to outbursts of anger/ evil thoughts. after putting all this together i decided to make him therianthropic to further express the unpredictability of my/his emotions.

also something about shyness and avoidancy issues....

~Dander~

She is a silver and black fennec foxkitty, a hybrid with the build and features of a fennec fox and the abilities of a cat. She has a huge bushy tail, oversized batlike ears, and large eyes. Her muzzle is small and catlike and she has retractable claws. She the ability to purr, climb, and jump long distances. Her personality represents alot of the more obvious things about me. This includes my unusual offbeat sense of humor, my being forever a kid at heart, and my high IQ and deep intuition. Being a hybrid is significant, as the fennec fox and the cat have opposing kid-at-heart and wiser-than-years traits. Most importantly, she represents my social instincts - a loner but bonded with one mate for life.

~Adeliea~

She is a golden palamino mare. She roams on the endless plains, away from civilization. She loves to run, just run without a thought to where she is going, and her favorite sensation in the world is the wind in her mane at a full-blown gallop. She represents the part of me that's completely wild and free, that does not tolerate someone on my back, that has an unconditional passion and longing to be free of the world, and to stay completely free from the rat race of society. The part of me that has only one fear, that being a cage. When people hem me in, mentally imprison me, or try to invade my very soul, she is the part of me that panics and feels a deep empty sorrow. She's also the part that comforts me by showing me that the power of my mind can never be captured and my spirit never broken. She also represents my love of the pure and untainted wild earth.

~Kiagre~

She has two forms. In her panther form, she is solid black, lithe and powerful, and has broad feathered wings. Her silver claws are deadly talons when she strikes, and altogether she is a formiddable beast. Her human form isn't quite human. She has the eyes of a cat and the rough tongue of a cat, and can jump, land on her feet, purr, and see in the dark. She wears all black, including elbow-length gloves with retractable claws. She is afraid of literally nothing. As a half-human, she represents my fascination with fantasy and the abnormal, as well as the way I would dream of myself to be, both body and personality. As a panther she represents the hidden rage that was born of my past, my thirst for justice, and the part of me that revels in the dark. In both forms she is not only nocturnal but in love with the night. Kiagre as a whole represents my love for the peaceful melancholy atmosphere of the night and the moon and the color black, my "night fever" yearning that I have yet to understand, and my awe of the unknown. She also represents my wilder, darker side of sexual interest - the part that involves being helpless and uncommon fetishes. Summing up Kiagre, she is the gothic and out-of-tradition part of me.

~Pistol~
The personification of my normal-ish bleh side, she is a border collie wolf hybrid... Very plain kind of an experimental character...

~Whyte~
The personification of my tomboy/emo side combined with my shapeshifting obsession...

~Takarah Luna Ravei~
Takah is a slightly more developed character, she represents my therian side, she was kind of modeled after  my spirit guide... She also shares my compassion for healing and is a little bit power hungry...

I have two fursona sides. The first which is Hidan and the second is Kazuki. both of which are male of course.

~Hidan~
He is not truely my character but he fits my aggresive more prominate side. Plus it's what all my friends call me.
 ~Kazuki~
He is my created fursona, wolf of course. Though he is based on my more submissive and shy side.

Chrono (Insert Last name): The "character" named Chrono was invented for a rather explicit story of someone with unusual talents rising and falling, then eventually recovering himself. However, the longer I brainstormed the idea, the more his path was based on what I would have done, and not the character's original personality. So, Chrono went from being the main character of an epic, to my persona.

Reff of Luna: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4023009/

When Luna was first created, she was a werewolf. I was suffering from a unknown condition (that I later found out that it was PCOS.) so I felt like I was morphing into something I didn't want to be. Sort of how a horror-werewolf will be forced against their will to change into a monster under the moon of the light.
I went though times where I didn't feel right in my body. Times where I felt it was out of control, and different. Oh, and my peers really let me know that I was ugly and different.

After a lot of tough times, and some therapy, I decided that it was time for Luna to have a metamorphosis. Luna became a moth, because my life has changed. I now had friends, I gained confidence though art, people like me now, my skin cleared up, my hair isn't screwed up anymore. I moved on. I'm not a ugly caterpillar anymore, and I have bigger and better things to "fly off" and do.

Even though butterflies and moths are in the same family, people in general seem to think that butterflies are the pretty ones and moths are ugly annoying creatures that stalk your porch light at night. But there are also a overwhelming amount of people that also like moths, and like them as much as butterflies. Hell, where are many things that people would call butterflies that are actually moths.
People seem like that to me. Some people still think I'm hideous and not worth their time, but some people will swear up and down that I'm beautiful and that I'm a good person.
But it doesn't really matter what people think.
I still have challenges to face. There are going to be some people that "eat" you alive, while others will think you at the very least deserve respect and will "let you go."

I also have the wings now to be free. Sure, they might not be the ever famous monarch wings, but these mothy wings will get me where I have to go in life.
Also, just like the moth who only really has a very short time to reproduce and die, we humans have a short life on this planet. Life is too short to be grounded. So the best we can do is fly. Fly away and do whatever we have to do before we pass on.

....

Also, how can one ignore these cute little Cecropia Moth faces. C:
They are really fascinating to me, and I've only seen them in person once.
They can be pretty, or downright terrifying depending on who you talk to.

Reference: [removed]

Notes: As you may spot, few things with it that I need to check out. Colouration is one of them, but apart from that, this is a basic, "I'm actually organic!" reference.

Tyla is... me. The only real different between me and Tyla is the physical form, apart from that... same dress sense, same name, same height, same weight, same emotions, same interests, same hobbies, same curiosities. It even carries on in my roleplaying, vicarious on either side, my roleplaying represents my emotion, and can even affect my emotion too. In fact, all of these little *poof* transformations that I pop in with on the forum relate to a roleplay, because I like to get changed in detail, and be there...

Though, at the same time, I'd say a reason for this closeness is my affiliation - it's what I'd like to call my "ideal body" if I had chance to choose, based on my spirituality for the most part. Can't be bothered getting into it because I'm lazy, but there you have it.

It's just who I want to be, he is in a shell me, just improved. Longer hair, better build, and much more knowledge, knowledge is generally one of the big things I want in life, everything else that my fursona has is just smaller improvements though.

Also I love felines and the Siberian Tiger really relates to me and how I'd like to be.

Post by: Hijiku on August 25, 2010, 10:27:06 PM
Okay, I shall explain the metamorphosis of my character and how he came to be.

And here, we.... go!

Hijiku is a 20 year old from Rochester, NY who willingly underwent genetic reconstruction in 2005. When he awoke from from his medically-induced coma, he was told that the procedure was a success, but there was a problem. The gene splicing evolved into a virus which began to infect people all over the United States and Canada. The only symptom of the virus was the transformation into anthropomorphic people. Only 15% of the population changed, though. This led to widespread fighting and intolerance from the humans who diddn't change. And so began Hijiku's life of feeling like an outsider.

This story I wrote (in far greater detail and length) was inspired from my own life. Every day of my life starting in 2005 just felt off. I felt like I wasn't normal, for many different reasons. To this day I still feel like many people do not understand me, but most of the time I now feel like I am truly one with myself. Hijiku's story is what originally got me so obsessed with the character, and soon I found myself taking on Hijiku's mannerisims and way of speaking, and even thinking. I know this sounds totally creepy and a bit schizophrenic, but it feels like Hijiku is who I really am, and that I was just living in the shadows of myself, afraid of being who I am.

Now that I have embraced this persona, I feel at peace. And even more so now knowing that there are others like me out there.

My fursonas and species choice have changed quite a few times over the years, but for the last 3-4, the Opossum is the way I've chosen to go and I think I am going to stick in it forever. My first ever Fursona was a black and gray wolf named Lunar-- but she was much too cliche for my love of creativity and diversity in the fandom. She was my first experience of being truly furry. Then came Thursday, the Squirrel-- there was also a Rabbit and something else in there, but they were flings and have since been long forgotten.

MORTICIA

Morticia is me. I am her. She's the side of me I cannot show or share to the normal world. She is my obsession for horror movies, roadkill, animal fur, and bones. She's my love for Halloween, fine clothing and excess-- the dark, angry side of me that rages out from time to time. Her name is derived from the Adams Family (as if that wasn't obvious. xD) which I've always rather enjoyed-- but the real meaning was that it was a nickname of mine for a short while given to me by my baby cousin. He was only-- I think three at the time, and there was that MnMs commercial with all of the characters at Halloween time and he had pointed to the screen at Morticia and said "Emilee, Emilee!" Which is my real name. Apparently the way I look and dress correlated with Morticia. (Which it sort of does, I guess. xD) Since then, I've used the name as my fursona's name quite happily. It's the mix of gothic and beauty that perfectly defines Morticia.
She's also what I cannot always be. Successful, Influential, Tyrannical, Sexy, Powerful, Wise. She's the things I hope to one day attain a better grasp of. Most of all, she's an outlet for my imagination and my art, and I love her to bits and pieces.

------

DAIVAT

Daivat is the male fursona is always crave. He's not as powerful in my mind as Morticia, but I still cherish him. I have a huge love of goats. I think they're darling, kind animals (And really the only farm animal I really like and am not afraid of. xD) Foremost, his species is a representation of an interest in Satanic symbolism and worship. I'm not a religious person, I just have an interest in the darker bits of culture. He's calm but can be rash, proud, and pig-headed. His specific breed is the Peacock Goat. I love their powerful build, long fur, and big horns. Akin to that is their name alone-- Peacock. My power animal is the Peacock, so it just fit so naturally. He's not nearly as developed as Morticia, but he still lives in me.

Kimora is a random wolgon charecter that I came up with, she once flew a combat it and still has that "milmillitary" mindset...
