kay, my headphones i got have finally decided to call it a lifetime, and packed in.... they where okay seeing as i got 'em for free.... but i need to get some new ones....
i decided im gonna shell out some of my money and buy a good set of headphones that will last me a while (overheads not in the ear)... so this is where anyone who can help comes in...
i dont wanna waste my money (im not rolling in the stuff after all xD ) , so im thinking about it carefully before buying anything
does anyone have any experience with Skullcandy headphones? at the moment their pretty cheap of amazon and i like the look of em... if you either know how good skullcandy, want to give me some advice on some cheapish headphones or can help in any way... then thank you in advance...
at the moment im looking at a pair of skullcandy overheads, they look nice, and i was just wonderin whether anyone knows if their worth the money £30 on amazon, comapred to £60 on other sites...

The last headset you'll ever wear. (http://www.plantronics.com/north_america/en_US/products/computer/pc-gaming-headsets/gamecom-777)
-
as in theyr bad?

Plantronics GameCom 777 Surround Sound Gaming Headset. As in, the best headset that you won't ever replace. If it gets broken somehow, you'll only replace it with the same thing.

sorry, didnt realise it was a link at first xD
and does look good, only thing is i cant afford the price, well thanks anyway :3

Well I was looking into you the best headphones of 2009 and I found a list of the Top 10 on a place all about headphones, you might wanna take a look if you're interested.
Judging from your price range I thought you'd like this one:
http://www.headphone.com/selection-guide/grado-sr-60i.php (http://www.headphone.com/selection-guide/grado-sr-60i.php)
And the whole list of the headphones that the place chosen is here:
http://www.headphone.com/selection-guide/10-best-headphones.php (http://www.headphone.com/selection-guide/10-best-headphones.php)
And about Skullcandy, I can tell you how many skullcandy earphones I have bought probably about 5 pairs now and I was breaking 1 set every month because they were very low cost materials that were used in making them >.> so after getting tired of spending $20-$35 a month I just bought wireless earphones... I know that's not what you're after but these earphones have not failed me yet: http://www.dipecomm.eu/Opera-S2 (http://www.dipecomm.eu/Opera-S2)

Wow, I guess 75 Euro is a lot of money for headphones. o.O That's like 110 Dollar.
-
thanks both of ya, im looking at that site ya linked white... and thats why i asked, cos id heard of skullcandy being notorious for breakin a lot... and yeah 75 euro is quite a lot xD
-
Converting USD to GBP makes a lot of those headphones that I listed look like they cost a lot less than they were originally XD, like the one I recommended was went from $79 USD to $49 GBP
-
h'okay.... ive decided probs to buy another pair i found... only £20 off amazon and the feedback looks good:

I run a small recording studio and needed extra/spare headphones in case of any unexpected breakages or unexpeceted extra musicians. I bought these cos they were so cheap and the reviews at headphone.com were so positive. I expected at best just to not hate them, but Im actually astounded by them. For headphones that cost me £10, these are absolutely unbelievable.
Naturally they can't compare to £50+ sets out there, but how close they come is frightening. They're extremely light and comfortable
how do they look? i figured theyr good for what i need, now that i think about it i dont really need £60+ headphones really...
-
Well they look good, but what are they called?
-
oh yeah, sorry... sennheiser hd201
-
Well it seems to look good to me as said here: http://www.dvhardware.net/review84_sennheiserhd201.html (http://www.dvhardware.net/review84_sennheiserhd201.html) And here: http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/sennheiser-hd-201-headphones/4852-7877_7-31651361.html?tag=txt;uo (http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/sennheiser-hd-201-headphones/4852-7877_7-31651361.html?tag=txt;uo)
I say go for it, looks like an awesome deal :P
-
especailly after reading that review ya linked i think it does look like a good deal:
Extremely rugged
huzzah, exactly what i need :3
so yeah, thanks guys
-
No problem :3

Skull candy = Blah
Headrush is cheap and it's amazing!

Both of those sets of headphones are worth the money and should last a while. I have a friend who has a pair of those sennheiser's he really likes them.
