Hiya, I'm Ny. Nice to meet you! Before I get started though, I'll share with you a little about myself.

I was actually introduced to 'furries' about 6 years ago when one of my friends helped me make a fursona. At that point, I just looked at it as a fun thing to draw and not anything really personal tied into it. It wasn't until recently that I began to feel that inevitable pull back to this character I had been slowly but surely developing over the years and have found a new curiosity in the furry community. Now I've always felt a certain bond with animals, I'm planning on going to college to study zoology next year etc. though as I've done more research, I've found that you guys are more and more inspiring everyday. Its like I've discovered a little bit of myself now that I'm really looking into this concept/lifestyle/whatever. Please excuse me if that sounds cheesy :P

So I guess you could call me a furry at heart, I wish I had the funds/courage to get a fursuit and attend a con one of these days, though that may take a little time.

I'm an artist as well, though when my computer crashed this summer, it got completely wiped and I lost my photoshop. T___T (if you couldn't already tell by the non-transparent picture in my sig xP) I'm also really into roleplaying, though my fursona could use some tweaking before I start that up.

But yeah. Now I've gotten that out of the way...

Hello Ny! I'm new as well.
And strangely, I'll be going off to college next August to study for my major in zoology too. It's something that I've wanted to do ever since I was able to speak.
However, I'm quite new to this (furries, that is) though I've being looking in to it for about a year. And I know that may not sound new, but I've recently realized I share more in common than our love for animals.
Anyways, welcome to the forums!  :P

Oh wow, thanks a lot everyone for such warm welcomes! That really means a lot ;3; -noms on everyone-

Fall Arrow- Where are you planning on going? (If it's ok to ask that is :P) I was having the hardest time finding a college with a zoology program and only found 3 x___x Either way, I totally know what you mean! I've been an animal freak ever since I was a baby and it's been the only thing that I've been really passionate about. ... Though I can't say I was any good at my biology class. This is probably a bad thing lawl

Well, the only one I actually found was Michigan State University. And I'm the same as you. I grew up around animals and, living only a few minutes away from the zoo, I went there almost every weekend. And my parents were strongly against letting me watch a bunch of non-educational shows like the shows on Nickelodeon so I mainly watched Animal Planet.
