Im actually a bassist. I started on a Gibson Epiphone Heineken Special Model, but got into bass. I've been playing overall about two years. My bass is a Dean Edge 4 string (my first bass). I really want an Ibanez 5 string bass with active pickups and an MXR bass fuzz pedal.

Define live, because if they have a PA system then you won't.You usually play the cabinet into the PA system. Amp sims are shit. Can't just skip that..

At the end of the day though, its the amplification of a weak electronic signal into a stronger one.

I also have a cheapish Vox amp I've had since I got my first guitar, though it doesn't get a whole ton of use lately as I think the home theater setup sounds better.
