The question is pretty self explanatory!
Do you have any fun story on how did you decided what would represent you?
Or
Did you chose by random? :? :? :?
Tell me below!

I chose a leopard gecko for Fable because I have a pet leopard gecko that means the world to me
and I chose a hyena for Talon because I absolutely love the animal and I think it's a perfect fit for me- plus I got to see one very close up at a zoo once and that just made me love them more.
-
I didn't choose. He chose me. ^_^
I love Lucario and pink makes me happy. So, it just added up.
-
I'm good with speechcraft I'm very sly and the fox chose me
XD

Honestly, it started by being essentially the first thing that came to mind.
Then it kinda just evolved from there.

I have always loved wolves ever since I was a child. And throughout most of my childhood and early adult life, I would attend the local renaissance faire that was in the next town over, right after the Woodstock Fair. I loved the stories of medieval fantasy, castles, chivalry, knights and the like. I was also an avid player of Ultima Online, and often Spirituality was my chosen virtue (symbolized by the ankh). I started out making a wolven prince for roleplaying on Furcadia (And still have my dream saved). As I roleplayed with him, I began worldbuilding, until I evolved a story that ended up becoming larger than I had imagined. My wolven prince eventually not only became king, but half-celestial due to the events of the Demon War. Then I began focusing on creating a deep history for the world my character lived in, and the reasons behind the conflicts between the two continents, as well as the source of the Silvermyst bloodline's divine power, starting from the founding of the overall kingdom.

Well, in the evening after discovering the furry fandom I was lying in my bed. There I asked the question 'If I was an animal, what would it be' to myself. It had to be a feline, one that really existed, could handle a little cold and didn't necesarilly hate water. The first thing that popped up was "snow panther", which was an incorrect English translation for the Dutch name of snow leopard. I didn't know much about snow leopards, but a little Google magick later I decided that I would like to be a snow leopard if I had to pick an animal. Since then I always stuck with that species, and that's not going to change very soon.

I has two for now
first one is my favorite foxy Pokemon - I love how foxes look like and how they play, how fluffy the fur looks like, and also being huge fan Pokemon - it's how I combined them, out comes Flareon at times I will use Eevee (also since the Eevees are my top favorites)
second sona is a feline - I love cats wanted to have a feline sona too, after seeing how many furs here have two sonas, I started doing the same, needed to create a story for it
when I joined I couldn't decide on feline or fox, so first went with fox, now I alternate every month between the two
-
I chose dragons because they're cool, idk.
Well... that and because I was obsessed with dragons after reading Eragon :3
I might make a new one soon though, probably a bat because I think bats are cool too. :P
-
Coincidentally, people often describe me as feline. So it just fit.
-
For most of my life, I've been a chubby, bearish dude.
I toyed around with polar bears for a while then I decided they were a wee bit too athletic.
So I chose panda bears.
They represent me pretty well, I think; they're just big calm creatures.
-
At the time, I didn't really care what species Kinga was. I just knew she had to be purple.
So I chose the most popular animal in the fandom.
She's actually more hyena-like, in terms of her personality, but wolf stuck.

Despite from what my profile info say's :
That'd (would) be a german, maybe swiss shepherd.
Not for aesthetics. But because, for some reason, my psychology resembles that of said breed with almost worrying accuracy...
Like, Think of ANY behavioural / psychological trait of a german shepherd and I can almost assure I share it...
That's kinda how I came up with that...
-
I chose my sona and all of my sonas based on my personality and what i would love to be procieved as in this fandom, therefor i chose cute, smart and calm, that mixed in with toothless from how to train your dragon and a wolf mix with ocelot and bat, and then you have my very own Skya :3

Original Jackal-Jenkins was made to be an anthro canine of any description, but when I finished, I realised it was a jackal.
Wolf Ezra, on the other hand, I knew I wanted to be a wolf, and I made some slight changes to this card (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Gambler_of_Legend) and we have my current fursona.

Nutmeg was originally a human character I had in a roleplay. She was bright, fun and full of joy, like an exaggerated version of me when I'm happy. If she were an animal, she'd be a flying squirrel, I decided.
Originally, my main fursona was a cat (as cat things are easier to find), but her personality was more mellow and shy and I feel that it would be harder to make friends as her. I also have a dragon, but I feel I'm more of a small mammal than a huuge dragon! My spirit animal is an armadillo, so there's that
I took Nutmeg up, tweaked her a bit and drew her out. One commission later and ta daaah! Here she is :P
(eek soz that turned out long)

As someone who's grown up around dogs bred to protect, Doberman was the natural choice.
At times I felt that I was closer to my father's dogs than my father himself. My parents and I aren't close, but it was the dogs that really tied my family together.
Also, personality-wise, I think I reflect a Doberman. Or at least how my family raised them. I don't roll over for just anyone, after all, and I will lash out if you threaten me or who/what I hold dear to me.

I've been a dark lonely person since i was born, i'm not very social and i don't talk to strangers very often, i prefer being alone than having to talk and pretend to be nice to people i don't like, i have only a few friends but they are the most dependable and cool guys i have ever met.
I chose a penguin not only because i like them but because they resemble my personality in some way, the black feathers are my dark past and unsociable demeanor, the white resembles my "good" side, i can be extremely loyal funny and dependable when it comes to hanging out with my friends or helping them, i can also be very cold when expressing myself, just like the penguin's habitat.

well, I guess the samoyed as a breed is just my cup of tea (^:

Foxes have always been a love of mine, especially arctic foxes. I'm quick at running and smart like a fox, along with the fact they're just so cute. I chose blue as the primary colour because it's my favourite besides white, and reminds me of Winter my favourite season. Even the grey on the fur is slightly blue, with white as the stomach. For the tail, no reason reason other that I was really inspired by Dutch Angel Dragons and thought they looked unique. As for the scarf, I love warm things and tartan is my favourite pattern, along with it being like a jumper i suppose :p
-
Started as a basic red fox, because I love foxes. The music notes came from my love of music and the red and black colours are my 2 faves, so it only seemed natural to put them all together and he's evolved into what you see now ^_^

Dinosaurs are awesome
Fluffy things are awesome
Fluffy dinosaurs are awesome
-
I've always liked the way the sun bear looked, and bears are generally very defensive and awesome, so I connected the two! It's pretty awesome!
-
I just took my own personality, amplified that by 10 and made him a raccoon
-
I'm just a sad emo who liked werewolves, so I became [a non werewolf] one online (and named him after a camera for the luls)
-
I am a stuffed animal of a rabbit. Why? Cause. I feel like someone who is a doll. I feel like someone whose been taken apart, in a way, and I'm just slowly stitching myself back together. Why a rabbit over everything else? Cause I thought it's ironic, stuffed animal rabbits tend to be cute and loveable and e.t.c. And then you have me, whose creepy looking. (Or at least that's what I tried to go for. If you people think my fursona is cute... Err... Darn. Gotta rethink my strategy here.)
-
I started researching several animals to decide my sona I was going to start as a panda but I decided on a fox because I find in my conversations that I can usually convince people to favor my points but I decided on the last name Softbark because I am really really shy and tend to fail to initiate conversations :P
-
I personally have always had a general liking of felines. Whether it would be their elegance or stealthy moves~ I picked out the name Kira Yuura from a game that I have always played named Brave Frontier. Two separate names, Kira, and Yuura. I put those two together and it just sounded like it went well combined. ^^ I wanted to make my fursona as colorful as could be while still keeping the only colors I really like, which are grey, white, cyan, purple, and magenta. After a bit of finally deciding the details, I finally finished and the result was in my profile picture. Even though you couldn't really see the color blue or the heart under her eyes. X3
Anyways.. yeah. That's that.

I think for me the linx is most accurate to me just because of the fact of its near boundless energy like me because of ADHD and the fact its more active at night like me
-
Well, basically one day I was on the internet. As usual.
I'd heard about furries before and I wanted to see what it was all about. That was when I stumbled across 'SparkyCanDo' and her Sabertooth Tiger suit. I LOVED IT.
And thats how Khaise was created...
-
I chose a fox & skunk because I feel a strong connection with them (and maybe I think they look absolutely adorable <3 )
-
Shady started as a pony oc for the MLP community, it evolved though into a hybrid of a Horse, Dragon and floofy fox.
I kept the parts of her from the MLP character because I love horses, they're beautiful and majestic animals. I added the Dragon part because I've always seen Dragons as Noble, Loyal, Honor bound, but also as loners, all of which I believe describes me.
I added the fox part because I absolutely love foxes and want one as a pet some day.
-
I've always felt that my spirit animal was a golden retriever and my hair in real life is blonde. I loved them so I decided that I'd make mine a golden retriever. Also, I named him Loyal because I'm loyal and dogs are considered pretty loyal as well.
-
I used to run with the crowd and use canines as my fursona. However, I never felt satisfied, and it was always like something was missing. I had never had an official fursona before; they would come and go within weeks. One day, I decided that I would make one I was happy with and stick with it. The idea of a sheep popped into my mind straight away. I think I was inspired by a friend who had a really pretty goat as theirs, and I always wanted something simular. So then I worked on the idea. At first, I was going to be Pilot. That didn't sound right, so I moved to Sailor. Then it all kind of exploded from there lol
-
Well, the personality of a fox is kind of protective, paranoid around strange things, and cunning. I would like to say I am a protective person, I am paranoid, and fox's are adorable! The first anthro art I made was an anthro wolf, so I said, what about a fox that looks almost like a fox? I like, scratch that, I love the cold, so you know. I love black clothing so albino, arctic foxes are white, albino is like a silver grey (sometimes)... I think that is really it, after that I just kinda stuck with it.

I decided my fursona to be a dragon because they are powerful and mysterious, also when I was much younger I distinctly remember crying in my room over the fact that dragons weren't real that they where just Fantasy. So because of that a dragon is my fursona.
