Hiya!  I'm Trixsie :D

Just your everyday vixen, goddess, poet, artist, thinker, joker and giggler!

My, my, what a bigshot :P

And your favourite colour is green? I did not know that, always thought it was purple xD
Might I just point out, I really like what you did with the text scrolling past o3o

Any ideas what you want your new tattoo to be of?
And what is this "cool new people mover"?

Oh my goodness, you have twins! Something, somewhere tells me you already mentioned this. But wow, you have twins. Congrats.

Ha ha!  Yes Ventus, a girl and a boy, a Chinese friend told me that's known as Dragon and Phoenix! So my tattoo idea is a yin yang made of said creatures.  Ideally incorporating the Greek letters my and lambda (their nicknames are Moo and Lamby :3
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Ventus Fall on September 01, 2016, 10:27:19 AM
Oh my goodness, that is so sweet and special ;-;
Dragon and a Phoenix... So cool! And the tattoo idea is very amazing too, and special. (With the creatures and the Greek letters, so cool.)

Ok, I'll stop drooling now over the awesomeness. If you get that tattoo, I would like to see it o3o

(I hope if I ever want to get kids it'll be twins too :P)

Congratulations on Mod Trixie. Always cool to see new staff. So I like to pester people with dumb questions.
What are your favorite games?  Favorite movie? Favorite foods?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on September 01, 2016, 10:47:01 PM
Thank you so much Dax!

I love questions, so you're in luck :D
I play a lot of tower defense games. But miniclip 8ball, Plants v Zombies and Bejewelled blitz 3 probably consumed me most. I don't play FPS really, I get lost in one room. I like fighting games, especially the Tekken series.
Movies: Jaws is my favourite movie, but I'm a big Star Wars fangirl. But Muppets, Disney animation and classic horror are my go to.
I love curry and stir fries, makhan chicken with garlic naan would be my "final request" meal.

Mmmmm... dammit Dax! Now I want delicious noms! XP

I'm new here but thought i should say Hello to all the mods :) I see that you mentioned you had twins, congratulations :) That's a thought though, growing up and then eventually finding out your mother is a furry (don't hate me for making an assumption i do realise you and your partner could both be furries and do not have any malicous intent in this comment) I guess those are my questions, do you planning on telling your children that you are a furry if you don't mind me asking? And Is your partner a furry as well?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen

Hello hello!
Your question is perfectly fine. My cubs know I'm a furry already, but I'm the only member of my family who identifies as furry. Though my partner has a few furry qualities IMHO. My boy-cub is a fox fan and tends to incorporate that into his online life but claims he's not a furry. But they are cool with me, being furry is probably the least weird thing I do! XD

Random question I know but here goes: are you family supportive of you being a furry?  :)
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on June 18, 2017, 01:38:48 PM
Oh yeah for sure, they just see it as one more of my weird hobbies XD  Not even in the top 5 strangest!

X3 That's half the battle then if they're supportive :3

Yeah, my cubs have taken my artwork to school for show and tell and some even gets a coveted spot on my girl-cub's Art Wall!

Mostly I think they're just glad it's not more Star Wars  X3

Oh, that's nice and I'm glad that they are cool with the whole furry business and honestly I thought that was likely the case anyways but I was just curious as to what response your family had to you being a furry since I haven't told any  of my family about me being one yet and I of course also wanted to congratulate you on the twins because well, its a nice thing to do isn't it? A kind and polite thing to do, I like making people happy so :) <3

No, the only versions I've played are Vice City, San Andreas and GTA IV.

I'm such a noob :P
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen

I doubt you are anywhere close to the title of "Plebian".

What was your favorite part of Vice City?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on March 19, 2018, 10:51:55 AM
I probably played that one least, but I liked doing the fire engine and taxi missions XD

In SA though I used to use the jetpack obsessively and liked using the rocket launcher to take out helicopters at the furthest possible range.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on March 19, 2018, 03:42:17 PM
So far, until the rocket stops existing! I never got to play San Andreas, unfortunately.

So what makes you so "trixsie", have you ever been a tricky fox?

I am the daughter of Halloween!  Maybe a treat, maybe a trick... you never know until you come to my door with the right disguise!

And it's short for Beatrix.

On the note of your Halloween relationship, what is the most "Halloween" movie you have ever seen?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on March 21, 2018, 07:32:30 AM
At the risk of being obvious, John Carpenter's Halloween is a model of it's type and I rewatch it every few years. But I have a soft spot in my heart for the Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie.

Lumpy is a kindred spirit.

"Halloweentown" is where I feel the happiness or "Trick-or-Treat" for the dark humor love.

Have you ever seen a dingo that you wanted to take home with you?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on March 22, 2018, 12:20:18 PM
Yes!  Actually.  They can't be kept as pets in my state but I met a guy who had one on a visit and it was so like yet so unlike a dog at the same time I fell in love straight away.  But it was not to be.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on March 23, 2018, 08:41:20 PM
It's a shame really, they look just like ordinary dogs (in my opinion). I want to pet a dingo!

Have you ever hosted an event in real life?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on March 23, 2018, 10:28:46 PM
Yes. It was a conference of jobseeker organization representatives, people from my own organization (all of them senior to me and representatives of our stakeholders and I had to make it happen and run it.  It was a day of speaking to about 120 people and fielding questions from tiny details to broad policy. It went well. But I would have rathered it was a music festival and waterslide opening celebration.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on March 23, 2018, 10:52:42 PM
Yeah, that sounds pretty stressful, I'm glad it went well. I too would have preferred the water slide and celebration.

Have you ever wanted a pony?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on March 24, 2018, 04:01:32 PM
Only that moment Bender from Futurama said "Amy, you're cute. So I've baked you a pony".

I'm so easily influenced by food advertising.

Food is very tempting in general.

Do you like seafood? If yes, what is your favorite fish flavor?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on March 24, 2018, 05:47:36 PM
Mussels and scallops are my favourite.  But blue eye trevalla for non-shell fish.

I do rather like anchovies on pizza though.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on March 25, 2018, 11:36:08 PM
Come to think of it, I have never seen an anchovy pizza in real life *scratches head*

What's your favorite pizza parlor in your area, if you don't mind me asking?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on March 26, 2018, 10:33:25 AM
Geppetto's pizzeria is the best. But I favour the pizza truck Go Pizza.
The local takeaway also does pizza but they aren't as good.
I would like to use the Azzip pizza truck due to its palindromic nature but they're not my style.

I have so much pizza availability.

How many drawings do you create per year do you think?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on April 03, 2018, 01:53:12 PM
Well, I do love all foxes.  But I just adore a classic red.  I would never change!

I draw so sporadically that an annual figure is almost meaningless but I guess two or three a year?
I have bursts of productivity followed by extended periods of skill atrophy.

Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on April 06, 2018, 06:59:03 PM
Hmmm, I have a couple of favourites but I guess it's this one

I like it as seen, but IRL you can feel the pencil and it's so warm and lovely.

The floofy fur on the ribs kinda just looks normal when scanned but it's a gold pencil and that creates a real glow which doesn't translate properly.

Even from the first early stages I was rather pleased with myself.  In fact I think a few minor details we're better then, but there's no going back with pencils.

Variations on a theme of "I have a history of heart attacks and I currently have chest pain, is it very busy in the Emergency Department?  I don't want to just be sitting around unnecessarily".

Classic variation includes "my son just fell and hit his head on the edge of a glass coffee table and it's bleeding.  Do you think it's worth coming in to the hospital?".

Thank you Kel!  We all have artists we strive to become peers to.  A noble endeavor even if in vain.

As for sitting in a single place, when I was a cub I liked to sitting on big rocks near the sea.
In particular Bicheno (https://www.australiantraveller.com/tas/east-coast/bicheno/022-bicheno-tas/) and Fortescue Bay (http://cdn.newsapi.com.au/image/v1/ee63345320251396adb9b3e0acd4fb3f?width=1024) and I would do so for whole days at a time.  But if I'm especially lazy at work I can sit still for eight hours.
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on May 16, 2018, 05:52:23 PM
Which of those locations do you like more: Bicheno or Fortescue Bay?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on May 16, 2018, 07:23:46 PM
Bicheno.  Though strangely that's like the budget version of it's northern neighbour the Bay of Fires (http://www.traveller.com.au/content/dam/images/h/0/x/9/z/h/image.related.articleLeadwide.620x349.h06eo8.png/1520574456382.jpg).
So I've outgrown both of them I suppose.  But I did chose to live in a place much like Bicheno, so it has maybe stayed with me after a fashion too.

Post by: White Wolf Guardian on May 16, 2018, 08:18:12 PM
Yeah, that's the downside of staying in a great place, you don't get to enjoy it as much as you used to, because it becomes mundane.

Which country on the planet, outside of Australia, do you want to visit the most?
Title: Re: Meet the Staff - Trixsie Vixen

Do you know for the last few years when people ask me that I've always said the UK, but I'd really like to visit the US and see my friends there.

And then there's some natural wonders and stuff scattered across the globe I guess.

I guess the Statue of Liberty is pretty iconic and Mt Rushmore.

I don't think Niagara Falls or the Grand Canyon count but if they do they're in.
I mean, Devil's Tower is considered a monument so...

Which I also would like to see, but NOT more than most.  Just the same.

I
Love
Calamari!

There is no bad way to have it.  But I like to grill it and then refer to it repetitively as "the bacon of the sea".

I like crab too but don't get it very often  :(

I think crab is "hit-and-miss" on taste, in my opinion. I like crab more than lobster.
