the first one is meant to be a wolf the second is meant to be a tiger (haven't added stripes yet)

also i have been looking at tutorial which have helped but it there any you would recommend thinking of having a tiger fursona (may try dragon or wolf currently between them)

Those are very good for first attempts. I wouldn't worry about finishing them any farther than you have. At this stage you'll benefit more from doing lots of drawings than from spending a lot of time refining them.
Are you sketching first and then doing the final linework, or just going straight into final lines?
-
do you mean sketching on paper? if so then no i just go straight to photoshop though maybe its something i should consider though thanks

I believe he meant like making a simple crude version of the image. In Photoshop you can do it with a semi transparent layer that you can then draw on top of. Helps you visualise things.
And since, as John said, you should definitely just draw lots and lots without focusing too much on quality, it's a way to draw two images for each idea. Kind of.
You could try it.

i think ill try that 2 image idea looks like good practice thanks and i think i have been trying the get the basic image going in one layer then use it as a sort of rough guide i found that helped

i did these for the second image is that what you mean?

What HellEye said. Photoshop's layer's are great for that. You can sketch it out on one layer, then make that layer transparent and do the clean lines on another layer.

fair enough i havent worked out the transparent part yet ill look into it
