I'm new and could really use some guidance!

Goodday dear beings of the internet!

My name is Alexandra and im a 20 year old female from the Netherlands.

ever since i was little ive been obsessed with the furcommunity. but as many of you might have expirienced a lot of people told me negative things about it. so for a while i kind of let go and kind of forgot about it.
fast forward about 10 years, here i am. back with my love for the furry kingdom.
ive been thinking of creating a fursona for about a year but havent succeeded just yet.
at first i was thinking of making a tribute to my sadly enough passed away cat. but after thinking about it, crying everytime, and discussing it with a friend i decided not to do it cause i still have recovered from his passing and nothing will ever live up to de legacy of my poor poor little cheshire.
so i kept thinking.
and finally i got it.
my fursona is going to be a panda.
pandas are most definitely my favorite animals.
a couple of years ago a dutch zoo got 2 pandas so immediatly got my bf to go there with me and as soon as i saw them i started crying as if i met my childhood hero. i just stood there for an hour staring at the lazy sleeping pandas and cried. cause it was amazing to finally see them upclose. finally see that all those cute videos arent really well made animatronics. to see that pandas are actual living creatures who are actually on this planet. it was one of my happiest days ever.

so here i am.
now i need to really put my fursona together.
but im having some difficulty. i have to think of a name, a background story, where he or she lives, if she of he has any friends and family.

and the suit. i do have a body suit. and it does have hands, feet and a head. but those are just horrific quiality. the head is just plain horror movie looks. not exactly what im looking for.
but the body suit is perfect. fits perfect. looks great. soft as hell. well stitched enz.

so if any of you know someone in europe who makes suits and could help me get a head, paws and backpaws. please let me know.

anyways. this was my intro. thank you very much for reading.

and i hope ill get nice responses and ill be able to make friends

 

p.s. its been about an hour or two since i posted this and ive been thinking about a name. but im not sure of the gender yet. but if its a female it could be "Pandora, pandaria, pandemma, pandama, pandalia or something like that" and if its a male im thinking of something like "pandorian, pandus, pandasius or something in that direction" but also maybe i shouldnt play with the word panda? or maybe panda in a different language?

Most people choose a name that sounds good to them or maybe reminds them of their fursona. Perhaps for a panda you might consider Asian names or names that sound earthy.


Pandas typically live in Asia in bamboo forests, however, you can choose wherever you'd like your creature to be.

Welcome to the Furry Forums, bud. i hope you have a great time here. I wanted to make a panda joke, but then I got bamboozled...

Usually people start creating their fursona's personalities in either one of the following ways:
1 - Based off of who they are. Simply said, you incorporate your personality and maybe even some of your physical features into your fursona.
2 - Based off of who you would like to be. Same as above, but then basically an imaginary better version of you, according to you.
3 - Since you already decided your species, you can look up how the real-life animal's general personality is and go from there.
4 - Start from scratch. Though this might be the most difficult one, it can also be very fun to come up with everything by yourself. You might even end up surprising yourself if you choose to go this road.
